Need help on Bios Setting , Trying to set up a Seta Drive
System - Neo3 Platinum, AMD 2800+, Pheonix Bios.
Well Windows took a nose dive last night, couldn't repair it and the reinstall didnt take either. So I dug up an old IDE drive and finally got Windows to run. I have a SATA WD Raptor though that I want to make my main C: HD and use another IDE for extra storage.
My problem is trying to get it bootable, when I have the IDE in of course it reads it as C: and my Raptor as D: I'm not to sure on how to do that in the Pheonix Bios, there are so many settings.
If anyone can help me out it would be appreciated.

If you want to install to your sata disconnect the ide until xp is installed.

Jan RobinsonThat's because the Mac, OS X and the iLife apps that came preinstalled on the Mac all belong to the previous owner. The previous owner needs to call Apple care and have their Apple ID disassociated from the Mac. Then the hard drive needs to be totally erased and OS X and the iLife apps reinstalled using OS X Recovery.

i need help really bad. im trying to sync music on my ipod, but a message comes up say " cannot synce photoes in ipod because the folder pictures cannot be found . what do i do ?
Try deleting the iPod Photos Cache folder. There may be more than one. For its location see:
iTunes: Photo sync creates iPod Photo Cache folder
Also, go to the Photos pane for the iPod in iTunes and make sure syncing photos is unchecked. -
Hi, Need help. I am trying to download the latest iTunes for Windows application but on running the program it says that it can not be completed as it can not find the folder location of the file "iTunes.msi" . Any clues would be appreciated
(1) Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility installer file (msicuu2.exe) from the following Major Geeks page (use one of the links under the "DOWNLOAD LOCATIONS" thingy on the Major Geeks page):

(2) Doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file and follow the prompts to install the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. (If you're on a Windows Vista or Windows 7 system and you get a Code 800A0046 error message when doubleclicking the msicuu2.exe file, try instead right-clicking on the msicuu2.exe file and selecting "Run as administrator".)
(3) In your Start menu click All Programs and then click Windows Install Clean Up. The Windows Installer CleanUp utility window appears, listing software that is currently installed on your computer.
(4) In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any iTunes entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:
(5) Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try another iTunes install. Does it go through properly this time? -

NagarajOn my iphone, when I get into Messages, I see a list of message thread names and at the top right is an icon with a square and pencil coming out of it. If I tap it, I can begin composing a new message with having to deal with any others.
If on your screen you see one or more message "bubbles", then press the "Messages" button at the upper left to go back to the home page for messages. There you can tap the compose icon. -

Do you want to retrieve deleted information for future usage, or to completely delete a partition? The latter is straightforward: simply erase the partition. The former is more complicated: it's very difficult, even using available commercial software, to recover deleted information. If the data is important, you may want to contact a professional like DriveSavers. It won't be cheap. -

Need Help - Screwed Up GT70 Trying to Install SSD
I just bought a GT70-02C laptop, and tried to install a solid state drive as a caching drive which I couldn't figure out how to do. In the BIOS I switched to RAID mode which gave me errors on startup, so I switched that back to normal, however now I cannot play any games whatsoever. Yesterday I was playing everything on ultra high settings, now i can't play anything even on low settings without FPS so low it's unplayable. Some games won't even start up. I also cannot adjust brightness, it says the option is unavailable.
Any help on what I should do would be greatly appreciated.Making multiple forum posts about the same problem isn't going to get people to help you faster. Please follow the forum rules.

- YUMI (Your Universal Multiboot Installer)..
- Xboot - Multiboot USB/ISO utility (have not done yet)
I was not successful in creating a recovery CD to USB
in ISOtoUSB and UNetbootin.
YUMI utility, however, has successfully created a USBflash recovery
but my netbook did not respond.
By the way, I was able to reformat this netbook by using
another XP oem--for temprary reasons as
I cannot extract the XP from Toshiba recovery CD.

New 5g touch need help with photo setting and..

Can someone help me pls. I'm sure anyone who has a 4g touch or iphone 5 or previous iphone can help. I'm coming from ipod touch 2g so a lot of this technology is foreign to me. Anyway, I accidentally synced my photo's from my computer onto my touch. I don't want thousands of pics on there. I can't seem to find a delete button for the albums on the touch. How do I delete them from my ipod? I have transferred pictured I've taken from the ipod to my computer, so I am not worried about deleting them. I have deleted individual pictures but thousands would take forever one by one. Also, I have set this ipod as a new device as I want to be particular about what is on it. So I didn't want to back up from my 2g. I've notice that when I synced and chose the game/apps I wanted on the device that they all reset. the games have deleted their save information and I have to start from scratch. Is this normal?

From a long time coming updated device!I think I might need a little clarification on your problem. But just to clarify, the iPod Touch nor the iPhone support synchronization over WiFi, they still have to be synchronized over a physical iPod cable. Are you trying to get both the iPod and the computer connected to the internet? Do you own a wireless router?

Rookie needs help recording DJ set through M-audio Firewire 410
Ok.... ive been reading through the forums and I still can't find help...
Im running GB 3 that came with my Macbook I bought about 4 months ago.
I am a DJ and I trying to record a DJ set/demo.
What I use to DJ is Pioneer cdj-800 x2 and a Pioneer DJM400 using Rane Serato Scratch through my Mac.
I recently bought an M-Audio Firewire 410.
I installed all necessary drivers from m-audio's website (i bought it on ebay so it did not come with the install cd).
I connect the Maudio into the Mac as instructed and set all my inputs/outputs in prefs to the m audio.
The record out of my mixer is via rca so i bought an rca to 1/4" cable. The rca going into my mixer and the 1/4" is going into the first "mic/inst" on the interface.
I created a real instrument track on a new project in GB and set the input to channel 1 (mono).
I play a track..... no sound. nothing at all. i tried the inputs in the back of the firwire and played with the gains. still nothing. i am getting a little frustrated here as you can imagine.
I would really appreciate if someone could walk me through this or at least point me in the right direction.

Message was edited by: defman13Perhaps you may need to reinstall the driver again from the M-audio website. The newest drivers don't work well but if you're running the newest OSX 10.4.10 then you have no choice but to use the newest drivers. When installing the new driver, do not have the 410 hooked up to the computer. After it is installed, shut down the computer. Hook up the 410, then turn the computer on, make sure teh 410 is power button is on as well. Once you're computer is up and running, open up the m-audio mixer application that comes with the driver. on the top right-hand corner is a reset button. Click that and a there will be a popup asking if you want to reset, say reset. Next open up system preferences and check the sound. Select the 410 for input and output. You have to also do this again in garagebands prefs. Test your audio out by playing a song through itunes or something. Hope it works.

Need help changing the setting to preview entire file names
Using Leopard, I would like to to be able to read the entire name of a file.
For example, my files might say (File 2.....609). What the file is named is File 2 Graphs 6209. How can I set up Leopard to allow me to read the entire file, so I don't have to guess the file?Ah! I tend to avoid using column view for folders containing items with long names, because it increases the amount of horizontal scrolling needed to see everything, & because I'm usually interested in seeing & sorting items by the non-name columns available in list view.
FWIW, I tried the column view drag handle double click tip on one of the folders containing some of my extra long named items & it does expand to show the entire name, but I don't care for the result: the Finder window expands horizontally so much that it won't all fit within even a 24" widescreen display! So not only do I have to scroll the window's content horizontally to see everything, I have to move the window partially offscreen to do so. That is too much of a chore to make this a very good alternative for long path names.
It occurs to me that there might be a more elegant, subtle, & "it just works" Apple-like solution possible: instead of just abbreviating the displayed item name by replacing enough of the middle characters of the name with an ellipsis to make it fit, it would be cool if this were adaptive & tried first to abbreviate the non-unique parts of the name, relative to all the items in the column. So if say 3 files in a view contained the same 12 character sequence, that sequence would appear with the same abbreviation in each file, more frequently preserving the display of the unique parts of each file name.
Does this make sense?
