Need help on issue uploading slideshow

I've tried everything but whatever I do the slideshow will not load to Mobile Me and even if I export it as a quicktime file it will play in QT but not online?

When you try to publish a MMe gallery from iPhoto what messages, if any, do you get? How are you getting the QT file online?
Do you have the Quicktime Player 7 installed? It was an option when installing Snow Leopard.
What's the URL of the online QT file so we can check it out?

Need help how to upload a PDF to an internet site

I'm applying for jobs on my iphone 5 and some websites need me to upload a resume... I click upload and my photo album comes up! I have PDFs of my resume saved on an app but I can't work out how to upload them on the websites? Any1 know an App or solution

i have to upload some document into IBM DB2 Content Management using JSF Portlet.
Is it possible to upload a document( in my case it is an image) using JSF Portlet into IBM DB2 Content Management? and also i need to keep the reference of the uploaded document in DB2 database.
i need some sample code to do this.

Need help troubleshooting issues with Adobe Reader X

Hello,
Recently our company upgraded multilpe computers to Reader X. Initially we installed version 10.1.0. Ever since our users on X have been experiencing problems. We are seeing three different issues.
1) A user will fill out the PDF and click print. At that point a popup appears with the message "Adobe Reader has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience." The user has the choice to click on Debug or Close. Clicking Debug doesn't appear to do anything.
2) Clicking on a PDF in internet explorer will launch Adobe Reader and a progress bar shows on the screen indicating that the PDF is loading. The progress bar goes away and the user is left looking at a grey screen.
3) When attempting to open a PDF the user recieves this message "The instruction at "0x00720065" referenced memory at "0x00720065" . The memory could not be "written."
In every situation the only way to get past the problems is a restart of the PC.
As an attempt to resolve the issue we tried upgrading several users to Reader version 10.1.3. This was done by completely uninstalling version 10.1.0 and then installing 10.1.3. This did not have any effect on the problems.
Can anyone here offer and suggestions?

1. The OS on which you are seeing these issues.
Windows XP SP3
2. The method of deployment of the 10.1.3 update. Was it done via SMS/GPO/SCUP?
Originally 10.1.0 was installed remotely using a program PSEXEC. Once the errors began occurring 10.1.0 was uninstalled manually and 10.1.3 was installed using a copy from your ftp site.
3. Can you try and update any one of your systems to the latest version of Reader i.e. Reader 10.1.4 and see if it solves the problem.
We have upgraded one machine to 10.1.4 using the Check for Updates function within Reader 10.1.3 and are looking for any ongoing issues.
4. Which browser are you using to render the PDFs. Is the issue seen with internal links alone or with all links. We are using IE 8. The issues are seen with both internal and external links as well as stand alone PDFs. No one could open the link you sent but we could open: http://helpx.adobe.com/content/dam/kb/en/837/cpsid_83708/attachments/Acrobat_Reader_Releas eNote_10.1.3.pdf on a faulty machine.
5. If suggestion# 3 doesn't work, can you also try and uninstall the installation on any one of the machines manually (i.e. via Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs or Programs and Features depending upon your OS) and install a fresh copy of Reader 10.1.3 (from ftp://ftp.adobe.com/pub/adobe/reader/win/10.x/10.1.3/en_US/AdbeRdr1013 enUS.exe<ftp://ftp.adobe.com/pub/adobe/reader/win/10.x/10.1.3/en_US/AdbeRdr1013_en_US.exe>) and see if it solves the problem. If it does, then it may be an issue with the Deployment methodology followed.

Need help with video uploading in flex 4

hey guys... so i need to create a video uploading application... with video chunking...
basically i need to break up the video file (may be 1Gig or more in size) in pieces and send it to the server using a method i call from my webservice...
any ideas??
i believe this process is called chunking... not sure how to do this...

dude. some time itunes just doesnt support drag and drop techniques . just try the simple copy and paste(ctrl(c+v)). if that file is gonna be played on the ipod u get a small tab box in the itunes that the file which u r copying is being processed .
even if this technique doesnt work , then thats a faulty format . u can try another video converter . say videora or Aplus video converter . u will find them in www.download.com

Need help with image upload and preview display

hi guys,
I'm trying to upload image and then display it as a preview, but when upload form submits to the same page image placeholder does not refreshes it's source and displays the same image as before.
Image 4.jpg already exists.
I upload it with nameConflict = "overwrite"
upload form points to the same page, therefore page reloads
In IE image placeholder does not display the new image, but shows the old one until I refresh the page with F5 and resend information, however if checked, image in the file is already different.
In Firefox, sometimes it works and image refreshes, sometimes not.
any help would be greatly appreciated!

With your code you suggest to not only upload the image but make a database entry too. However my intention is to firstly upload the file, and show a preview. Then if user is satisfied with what he sees, he presses "aprove" button and therefore makes a datase entry. Then the photo number will increase by one.
Until user is not aproving the photo he can upload any image again and again, but the new image will be always given the same name (example 4.jpg) and overwriting the old one.
I believe the problem persists because browsers are loading image with the same name from the cache, and not from the actual location. Therefore when I refresh the page it catches the correct image.
If I follow your code, every time I upload the image, name of it is different, therefore browser cannot find it in the cache and is forced to load one from the server.
I wonder is there any way to avoid this cache problem?

Hi, can anyone help me out with this. whenever I'm adding any pictuers to my site they looks kinda cr*py. the reason it because it's resizeing the image to a much smaller resolution.
question :
1. how do I upload a full res. image?
2. also if anybody knows how I can prevent people from downloading those images?

1. iWeb > Preferences > make sure +“Optimize images on import.”+ is deselected.
2. It may not be possible to prevent people from downloading your images — but you can watermark them. Let me... Well, see for yourself by clicking here.
Another trick is to place a transparent, borderless Shape over your images.

Need help with full screen slideshow image quality

I am looking to display some images with full screen slideshow. The images I add are very large, over 5000 wide. When I publish the site some images retain their quality while others lose it and look like crap. Why would this be and how can I fix it. I tried to resize them to the 2560x1707 that muse does, and then add them. This doesn't change the end result of poor quality.

Go to Assets Panel and locate the image you want to use at original size. Right click the image and chose 'Import Larger Size'.
See if that helps retain quality for that image, since Muse does not resize/interpolate that image for you.

Need help, Trouble in uploading records using sql loader in Forms 6i

Env: Forms 6i, Oracle 8
Table to be updated is: shy_upload_table

Thanks for responding, I am not very sure of what you want me to try out.
When I double click the batch file containing the below, the record gets inserted in the table. Only when using my form and trying to upload, it fails to insert the record.

I have been involved developing a web application that requires a file upload operation. I have studied your example on Upload Text File and Image Example in the Not Yet Documented ADF Sample Applications section. I got the file upload part worked but could not get the original file name to populate the name field..i.e. if I upload myFile.txt to the database, the name field will be myFile.txt (not the name enter by user). Is there a way to capture the filename info? or is it possible to do so within ADF framework? I am using ADF/Struts/JSP with ORDDoc data type. Thanks very much.

You need to change any settings in 'FILE' transaction. This transaction is used to set up Logical file paths. ( In general it will be set already for your system).
You can use the following code.

Need help, strange issues

ok, all help is welcome on this one
just moved, had the airport all set up at the old place and switched over to a new cable provider on the move
got the airport hooked up to the new cable modem, got one machine running and wireless just fine.
the other machine (ibook) will not connect to the airport at all, and in fact says that the airport is the problem. the powerbook sitting next to it is online using the same airport so the modem and airport are able to get out to the net just fine but this one machine can reach the airport but not the net.
plugged the machine into the airport, nothing.
it still says the airport isn't configured and can't get online via the ethernet connection to said airport.
any ideas??

Eliminate damaged or corrupt .plists or preferences first. Create a new admin account and log in with that and try Airport connectivity from there. Failing that, eliminate an Operating System problem. Reinstall a clean OS and don’t preserve network users and settings. It’s a pain I know, but worth it as sometimes what appears to be a hardware issue is actually down to software. If its still no go after that, its probably an airport card problem. Is it possible to swop the airport cards or is that something you have already considered?

Need Help on cffile upload, destination to another server

Anyone know why get this error? The specified directory attribute value Z:\Project_X\UploadFile\DlrPayInq\ could not be created.
The setup of my server is as below : -
I'm trying to use cffile to upload a file where by the destination i declare is located at another server which is my file server.
i had create a mapping from my application server to the file server as Z:.

But when i try to upload file using cffile in my program, i hit this error The specified directory attribute value Z:\Project_X\UploadFile\DlrPayInq\ could not be created. Actually the folder DlrPayInq is already exist in that fileserver, how come CF trying to create again?
I try to remove this code

To expand on tclaremont's reply. "Z:" that you are using is a mapped drive and mapped drives are user specific. So as well as making sure that ColdFusion is running as a user that has permissions to the remote server, you would have to log into the server using ColdFusions user account and create the mapped drive under that user.
Most people don't bother with mapped drivers but rather use UNC path syntax. Which would looks something like "\\MyRemoteServersName\Project_X\UploadFile\DirPayInq\"

Need help! Issue getting TempDB files removed

I'm currently running SQL 2012 and having some issues altering the TempDB to remove two additional mdf data files from the filegroup.
The tempdb currently has two additional mdf data files, tempdev1, tempdev2
I'm running the following command
ALTER DATABASE tempdb
REMOVE FILE tempdev2
And while I expect to see the message
Msg 5042, Level 16, State 1, Line
1
The file ‘tempdev2′ cannot
be removed because it is not empty.
I am NOT seeing anything to the likes
below...which concerns me as I don't think i'm ready to restart my instance and have the desired changes in play
The file “D:\tempdb\tempdev2.mdf”
has been modified in the systemcatalog. The
new path will
be used the next time the database isstarted.

It seems some activities are going on that is using your TempDB.
Restart the SQL services this will create your new Tempdb & all files become clear. After that run your both commands, It should work.
USE tempdb;
GO
DBCC SHRINKFILE('tempdev1', EMPTYFILE)
GO
USE master;
GO
ALTER DATABASE tempdb
REMOVE FILE tempdev1;
Just to add, only 1 mdf can have per database, rest of this all other data files will be ndf.
