Need help on MS8808 video card

I have a Vanta / TNT2M64 video card (MS8808 Ver 1A) purchased from Techtronics here in western Canada. I accidentally shorted the card against my metal computer case while re-installing the card ..and now its dead. I put the old video card back in my computer, so I know the computer is still working fine, so I apparently caused an electrical problem on the MS8808 card. Can anyone suggest which component I may have fried, and if it can be replaced? Does anyone have a detailed component schematic for this card ..one that lists the details of each component? Thanks in advance for any help!!

Im running Hybrid SLI (Geforce Boost) on my Acer Aspire X1200 SFF with a Geforce 8200 (integrated) and a Geforce 8400 GS (add in) and notice no instability issues. (230 watt psu)

Need help ASAP: No video card signal for neo4 plat

I just bought a new case, motherboard, ram, video card, power supply, and CPU. i took my drives from my old Dell and placed them into this case and the MSI neo4 plat. motherboard (specs at the bottom). after getting it to post, i noticed there was no video. i triple checked for anything that wasn't hooked up or loose. everything seemed good. i'm using a VGA monitor. i looked at the D-bracket 2 and noticed that it had 3 red lights and one green in the lower right hand corner. in the manual this means no video signal... well obviously. what does this mean and how can i fix it? my video card's fan is working. i see no spot for a PCI express power input. any ideas? i use my computer a lot and need to do some things before i leave for vacation on the 15th. i'd like to resolve any issues before i leave so i can relax about it when i get back.

well it seems things have gotten worse, after taking out the ram the other day and putting it back in thinking it was a ram problem, which it turned out not to be, it is giving me a ram problem. i just snapped em in a few times in all possible configurations and nothing is changing.

Check your settings for display sleep in System Preferences > Energy Saver.
And be careful if you contemplate changing your video card- Mavericks may not be compatible with a different video card.

Need help understanding PC vid card options in MP

Hi all,
I have a 2008 MP with the 2600 XT video card, but I just installed Windows 7 via Boot Camp and decided I'd like to get a second video card just to play games in Windows.
I do know that a PC video card won't work in OSX unless flashed, but I'm just not entirely sure about buying and installing a PC video card for Windows. Can someone help me with answers to a few questions?
1. If I install a PC video card in the 8x PCIe slot of the Mac Pro, does it have to be a particular type (i.e. have a particular type of DDR onboard, have a particular mHz GPU processor speed, etc)?
2. I've read many vague references to power requirements, but I've yet to read something that clearly states whether I will need to rig up some kind of additional power to the second card. If I do, what exactly would I need in terms of power adapters/cables? (my 2008 Mac Pro is completely stock right now).
3. I would be buying a DVI KVM switch in addition to the video card. With the switch and the 2nd card installed, would I be able to see the "hold down the Option key" boot loader screen as long as the KVM switch is set to the OSX video card, choose Windows, and then use the KVM to switch to the PC card so that I can use it in Windows?
4. Does anyone have any recommendations of a good PC video card for gaming, in the $50-$100 range, which are also potentially flashable for use in OSX? I'm not ready to take that flashing step yet, but I figure as long as I'm buying a PC video card, I might as well get one that can be flashed if I decide to do that down the road.

The 2600XT has trouble enough, and now seems like the 5770/5870 don't get along with it.
Each card would say what it needs as far as using aux pcie power cables.

Your 2008 MP 3,1 has two 16x slots.

[SOLVED] Help diagnosing nVidia video card

I've got a nVidia GT 240 that is producing some glitches on video playback.
Frames that become stuck and have to wait until a full refresh and sometimes, complete freezes.
Also, this happened yesterday:

I use it only for video playback over HDMI to a 47" TV via XBMC.
I would need help troubleshooting it... I tested my ram with memtest86+ and it's fine, so there's nothing else that comes to mind that could be the problem. I don't know how to test a video card, though.
What would you suggest me to do?

I have an older 500 MHZ (single cpu) G4. I just bought a 23" Apple display. I use the comp. for graphics applications (photoshop, illustrator, etc)
The video card I have in the G4 currently is an ATI Rage 128 Pro. I need to upgrade for the new monitor. I need an AGP card with at least 128 MB and a DVI connection for the new Apple display.
Also, right out of the box, the display does not work. I had it all hooked up and plugged in and the display never turns on. The LED light doesnt even light up. Is this a bad transformer or a video card problem.
I am sending the display back.
Please help me pick out the correct video card. All of the ones I have seen are either for the G5 or not for certain generation G4. I will be upgrading to G5 sometime next year but I have to work with this one for now.

The problem is when I test it on my computer it works but when I upload it to my phone it freezes when I click Sets Anteriores button.

My first guess is you're simply generating an error. You'll always want to load this on your device in quick debugging over USB so you can see any errors you're generating.
Outside that, if you plan on accessing anything inside the SWF you should be loading the SWF into the correct context. Relevant sample code:

If you're doing this on iOS you'll need to stripped SWFs if you plan on using any coding (ABC) inside the files. You mentioned iOS so I won't get into that here, but just incase, here's info on stripping external SWFs:

I bought a 'Creative' web-cam today and I want to be able to display real-time video in a Java applet. Could someone please help me to do this.
What classes do I need to capture the video, and use a server to either broadcast or stream the video to a client( applet ).
I have JMF 1.2.1 installed with jdk1.3.1
I'm kindof new to Java and really need to know where to start.

Need help on new graphic card purchase

Dear Apple users,
I am looking for a graphic card to replace an older one. I have searched high and low but have no idea which cards are compatible.
My existing graphic card which came with my G4 MDD is the Nvidia GeForce 4 Ti (256mb). I am looking for something with an equivalent specification or higher, but since my monitor is still the old 15" widescreen (got that when I purchased the G4 Cube back in 2000), only graphic cards with HDMI support are compatible. Which basically means if I need to replace my monitor as well, I'd still have to get a graphic card.
I was told that newer graphic cards only have DVI ports instead.
Do I just get any graphic card with DVI port, or must it be something more specific for the Macintosh? What about AGP or PCI Express? I am not familiar at all with these =(
For example, if I get the GeForce 7600 GT, will it work? Or do I have to be more specific and get the GeForce 7600 GT for Macintosh?

First things first. No apple display has ever shipped with HDMI support. Are you sure you are not referring to ADC?

If so it definitely is ADC.
Secondly, unfortunately all the latest video cards do not support ADC, you will have to buy an adapter which costs $99 from the Apple online store:

Your Power Mac only features an AGP slot (not PCI-E found on the latest PCs and Mac Pro). The video card you buy must be a Mac compatible AGP card.
A good card compatible with your Mac would be the 9800 Pro mac edition:

The 9600 Pro is also a good card, not as good as the 9800 Pro of course.
