Need help on name of an extension.
I can't remember the name of an extension I had, maybe some one knows the name. The extension was one where when I clicked on a new tab, I could customize the tab page with short cuts to my favorite sites from a list of sites or type in my own. I anyone knows what this extension could be, please let me know.
hello wolfinator, it would also be possible to do this in firefox without an extension. you can drag and drop sites from your bookmarks or history onto the new tab page - then they will be pinned there for future use...

They would only be where you put them. What program did you use to import them? Pics/vids taken with ipod are not part of the sync process at all. You should be importing them just as you would with any digital camera.
If you did not import them, then they are not on your computer. -
Need help with set up for extensions
I'm new to OA Framework development and am just ramping up (do have years of Java development experience) and could use some help. I've read through the OA Framework Developer Guide and gone through a few of the tutorials. My task is to add some extensions to the R12 Customer Standard pages.
I've looked in the $JAVA_TOP at the following directory structure.
/oracle/apps/ar/cusstd/...
I find java classes and the server.xml files but there are no PG.xml files to work with. Are these located in a different structure? What is the best approach to obtaining the base Oracle source files to start with and for configuring your local development environment to extend R12 OA Framework pages? Do you need to include the entire $JAVA_TOP in your development client environment classpath as well?

Create a new custom jsp similar to test_fwktutorial.jsp. Modify this JSP based on your environment and user setup. Modify the links also. With this, you should run this jsp first. By clicking the link in the JSP run, you can launch party create page.
The error you posted in RED color is thrown because you are trying to modify the web bean hierarchy in the processFormData method. Example, setting some items property to rendered false or true. All these kind of modifications should be done in the proceeRequest method of the controller.

HI! I'm one of the lucky few who won a Nano from Tivo. My hubby wanted to use it and put his "name" on it (let's call it "Billy's iPod".) But now I got it back and set it up on my computer. How do I change it to "Bean"s iPod"?

emahine Windows XPOnce you open iTunes, you click on the iPod on the left hand menu 3-4 times. It should open a text box to name your iPod. It is basically the same way you rename a folder on your desktop, you click on the text a few times. Hope this helps!

Getting this error, need help: No Name Available via DNS
Hello,
i was wondering if someone can help me out. i m being getting this error message xserver servermgrd: servermgr_dns: no name available via DNS for 192.168.0.XXX . The server is set up stand alone server, only being use to host Filemaker Pro Databases. i type hostname to see what it show me, it show me fmserver.local. the internal ip assign to it, it is static and the WAN IP is also static.
any help would be appreciate it.

victorif you change your network interface's DNS to point to yourself, then you should add your isp's nameservers to the "fowarders" options in your /etc/named.conf file, so your nameserver, when it can't find a local or cached record to answer the query, can still use your ISPs nameserver to lookup the information...

Need help with names of new truetype fonts.
I'm having trouble with the names of newly installed fonts. I download the truetype font to the desktop, double-click on it, and then click "Install". But when I look in Font Book, it's not there. After a little exploration, I discovered that all my newly installed fonts were being renamed "New", hopelessly confusing OS X.
How do I ensure that the fonts I install are installed under their correct names?I found a work-around/solution, but I'm going to leave this topic marked "unanswered" in case somebody has a better solution.
Here's what I did:
1) Installed Fontforge via Fink.
2) Opened the .ttf in Fontforge.
3) Selected "Font Info" from the "Elements" menu.
4) Selected the "Mac" tab.
5) Typed the name I wanted in the FOND field.
6) Clicked "Ok".
7) Selected "Generate Fonts" from the "File" menu.
8) Made sure that "Truetype" was selected from the dropdown menu.
9) Checked "Output glyph maps" in the "Options" menu.
10) Saved the font with the new information.
If somebody else has a more elegant solution, please post it.
(FYI: If ever there was an application that should be ported to native OS X, it's Fontforge.) -
Need Help with the Total and Grand Total

I have posted a question couple of days ago regarding the COUNT and AVERAGES, for a minute i thought i got the work around, but the problem still exists. I'm trying to find the average work done and average revenue generated. I have to do this by the location,
employee id , date and the number of hours. Below is a sample for february 2014. I have two averages for the work done AvgWorkDone=(sum of work done/count of workingdays in month), the second one is AverageWorkDone1... which i skewed by multiplying by 16 (since
there are 16 hours in my data per day) Please need help

If you see the above report the number of days are adding upto 368, this causes the Individual Averages to be fine but the GrandToatl of the Average is messed up. If i multiply by 16 the Individual Averages are messed up, but the GrandAverage is coming RIGHT.
Please need help where i can get both the individual and the grand averages right.

Finally i found a solution. a) I have a time dim from the ware house and its joined to the fact table based on the dateid, since the fact table is getting only the data for the working days , the ware house time dim is showing only those days as count.
b) I created a new time dim in SSAS TIMEDIMSSAS
c) I joined the new TIMEDIMSSAS to the warehouse time dimension and the fact table and created new measure AvgWorkDone over time and Avg Rev over time.
I'm getting what i wanted. BUT here is a new problem , when i select multiple months the grand total (which should be Average is showing wrong average and i'm not sure why), can anyone please help ?

The values were supposed to be (1.59+.97+9.52)/3=4.02 and NOT 4.17 for Revenue. Similarly for WorkDone (105.79+64.66+634.55)/3=268.33 and NOT 277.68

I used List Directory on advanced IO , to list all .. the Name is the same for all ... then i used Name_ concateneted with Serial(typed)* .. this command serial* ll list all serials equal the typed , in my case , ll exist only one , cuz its a count this serial .Then i pass the path to the delete , and its done !

I have tried downloading photoshop cs2 and cs4 on a new computer. I have the disc available for cs2 and the serial number for cs4. They are both registered in my name. I need help doing a download. I was able to get part way through cs4, it showed up in my downloads but never got as far in the process as to ask for serial numbers. I tried with cs2 and I got an error message that some bit of information was incorrect. I currently have both downloaded on two other lap tops I own. One is operational and one is dead. I cannot access the dead one to remove the program. Thank you in advance for any assistance.

Need help with EXS24 "read velocity range from file name"
I am trying to import 127 drum samples to a single key using the option shown here. The option says "Map to key dropped on and read velocity range from file name". I can find no documentation in the manuals on how to do this. What is the syntax required in the file name to make this work? I need to do several of these imports. The capability is cleary there, but I need help on how the file name should be formatted. My thanks to anyone who can help.

I have a "Contact" organization issue I need help with. I organize multiple customers under their account affiliation. I place the people with their contact info under each account name by their dept/role in the notes section of their account. I am looking to be able to directly dial / email from this info in yet notes section located within a contact. On Blackberry, the notes area entered in a contact can connect directly but on the iPhone those numbers/emails are inactive. I am trying to avoid having to create each of these individuals as a separate contact and keep them under their account affiliation. It is easier to find them. This does not seem like that complicated of a request and hoping someone can tell me how or share an app that will enable the "notes" within a contact be "active". Hope this makes sense.
I seem to recall that this question has been asked before and I'm pretty sure that the answer is that you can't do what you want to do with the native contact app. However, there are lots of contact apps out there that pull from the built app's data but have other features. Perhaps one of them would meet your needs.

Need help to decipher "name" variations on Mac
When I first set up my iMac recently, I used only Herschel Hochman to establish the account. By the time Mac was finished with it, I ended up with the following variations depending on what I was looking at:
1) Herschel Hochman
2) Herschel Hochman's iMac G5
3) herschelhochman
4) Herschel-Hochman.local
on .Mac 5) hhochman
And, whenever I see the Mac name on the PC as in My Network Neighborhood, it shows up as:
Herschel Hochma_s iMac G5.
Here are the specifics:
When I look in System Preferences under,
"Account", in the left pane it truncates my name as
"Hersch...chman" so I don't know what it is.
In the right section is "Name: Herschel Hochman"
and "Short Name: herschelhochman" (grayed out)
Clicking on "Systems Preferences/Sharing", it shows:
Computer Name: Herschel Hochman's iMac G5
Logging in from the PC, for "User Name", I can get connected using 1) 2) 3) of the variations above. I can even login if I leave the apostrophe off of the name???

On My PC, my username is "Herschel Hochman", Administrator.
If, from the above informtion, the Username on the Mac is "Herschel Hochman", the same as on the PC, it is strange that I have to log in from the PC.

I tried looking in the Help section, but I could not find a logical reason why Apple has to assign a "shortname"?

Why does Apple give the Mac my name with the extension "iMac G5"? and then leave off the last letter, substituting "_s?
I don't know what all of these names are about. I understand that one cannot easily change these names without having to start all over again (whatever that means). Is there a way to simplfy all of this without affecting my ability to network the computers?

HerschelActually most - but not all - of the names are easy to change.
Let's start with the one which isn't: your "short name." Without some complex UNIX voodoo in Terminal, that's your User account name and you're not able to change it. If you haven't spent much time setting up your account and importing data into it you could set up a new account, enter the short name you prefer, switch to it, and then delete your current account.
The name appended with "iMac G5" is your network ID name, and easily changed, as are the rest. Apple is simply trying to be helpful by putting a hardware ID tag in there for you - if you don't like it it's history. As for leaving off the "s" I believe that is simply truncation to maintain the best interoperability with older Macs and Windows systems - once again you can change it, but probably not make it any longer.
A true networking guru - which I am certainly NOT - may have more & better info for you. But as far as I know the short name is the only one you're stuck with. Hope this helps. -

Plug the iphone in and go to the music tab in the iphone,not your itunes library.There will be a button in the borrom right that says autofill. Click that and it should thransfer all your music. It worked for me,and i had the same problem.
