Need help on some basic functions on a BB8310 Curve

I know these are probably dumb but:
How do you set up and send a text to someone not in your address book?
For these next two questions I've looked up the answer in my user guide but they direct me to menu>options>General Options. When I go into options there is no General options! So:
How do you change the default on the volumn for incoming calls?
How to I improve sound quality.
And just as a reference, I'm with AT&T and I did not subscribe to the internet-media package. I do have unlimited text messaging which is why I want to know how to do it.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

For someone that is not in your address book you can type in the cell number in the "To" field at the top of the screen. To change the default call volume you have to first go into the Phone or Call Log screen. Once you're in there you go into Options | General Options.

Really Need Help with Some Basics!

I've done Adobe's flash tutorials, and made a numbef of
animations, and feel comfortable with that, but am having trouble
finding a good source on how to best implement a full flash site
for the web. Is there an Adobe tutorial I am missing?
Specifically, I've made an animation using the new Flash
screens feature, but am having a few problems with it. For one, the
animation is 443 kb for the full animation. Is this acceptable if I
add a preloader? (website is for a Swiss audience only - so pretty
good bandwidth)

I've also had some problems with the navigation. Forward and
Back work, but I can't get the buttons to work (is this a limiation
in the "linear" screens feature?)
Or would someone divide this up in some way. I've though of
different possibilities like using frames (which I haven't touched
for years) and having buttons in an simple html frame, which then
opens and plays the flash files in the frame just below it. Or
would Iframes be a way of proceeding? Or is there something else I
am missing. I would be very curious to hear how you experts would
proceed with putting together a site like the one above!

Now, I'm going to try and explain what I did as best I can.
But please understand that I do not know very much about
actionscript, I just know how to feel my way through syntax and
where code should and shouldn't be.
First, I renamed the slides on the left. b-b-q ----> bbq1,
and so forth. This is what I believe was the main problem for the
buttons not working. My guess is you may have used the instance
name somewhere and that could affect it. The second part to the
main reason why your buttons weren't working is that you had
different code on the word buttons than the code on the picture
buttons. The code on the word buttons was the correct code. So, I
copied and pasted that code on each of the word buttons AND each of
the picture buttons, correspondingly. Then I changed each code to
match up with the new names for the slides. Doing this alone fixed
all the buttons so everything worked correctly. I also found that
you had actionscript associated with the bbq slide. If you click on
the slide on the left, you'll see the actionscript, I deleted that
as it was unnecessary. Also, make sure to use the "Auto format"
button in the actionscript plane, it's very useful for keeping
things looks clean and consistent. I did that for all the code.
Aside from this, I found nothing else wrong.
I'd also like to point out that I've never used slides
before. In fact, I only became aware of them after looking at your
file. They look like a useful feature if you're going to have many
simple pages, but I think it'd be much easier to do what you're
doing now...just have each button point to a frame (or set of
frames) in the timeline. These slides seem a little cumbersome for
a small project, not to mention I'm sure you'll have no problems
whatsoever using the frames method instead of slides.

Okay, maybe it's just me, but I can't get 9 to do some of the things that I just figured out how to do with 8 so if anyone can help you would save my sanity. First, I only have a few things listed to rank my albums on top in the view section-like album, artist album artist for ex. I used to be able to see all of those on the screen. 9 has spread out these columns too wide and I would like to reduce them.
Second, I have several compilation albums like the Now that's what I call music. I had them fixed so that they would list as the total album with all the various artists. Now if I have 9 in the list view, it separates every artist in that type of album by their name. It won't just list them as an album together. If I click on the album from the side album it has the tracks all mixed up. The only way that I can see them being together and in the correct order is if I stay on the album view.
I'm sure that these are stupid things to be concerned with, but I want to be able to view my own library the way I want to view it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Need help with some basics

Why is the text size in the instructional boxes "File", "Edit", "Image" etc: so small that they are almost unreadable. I know its me, but I can't figure out how to fix it.

Font saizes for most UI items are fixed and older versions simpyl are not Retina/ high-DPI display compatible, further complicating matters. You would rather have to change your screen resolution....

Missing some basic functionality

I seem to be missing some basic functionality, like switching to tty1-n using Ctrl+Alt+F1-n. I can't begin to guess what this is related to, as after several installs I've never experienced that to be missing. Can anyone point me in the right directions? Thanks.

Lacking of some basic functions of Lumia 920

Hi,
The Lumia 920 is lacking some basic functions as follow:
1. Call history does not show duration of calls.
2. SMS field does not show whether it is sent&delivered or sent&not delivered or not sent without turning on the delivery confirmation, doing so I will receive an SMS from mobile operator.
3. I cannot choose vibrate&ring at same time.
This is so basic and essential so pls work with Microsoft to add these function.

I found one more function that is not good, that is call forwarding, we have a very poor option here, forward or not while we should have other options to forward the call once the phone is unreachable, not answering....
I think MS and Nokia should add these functions into the phone. So far I don't satisfy with this new WP8 as it should have done well as a role of phone.

Need help in using sleep function in pl/sql

need help:
I have a condition where i want to validate total_pass=total_fail and
I want to use the sleep function in a pl/sql where i want to wait for 2 minutes ie.checking
whether total_pass=total_fail based upon class_id .
I have the data in the table as:

I'm not quite sure what you are lookg for here, but whatever it is, your code as posted won't do it. You will never break out of the WHILE r_Class.Tot_Pass = r_Class.Tot_Fail loop, since these values will never change because you never get the next record form the cursor.
From your original data, it looks like your cursor will return multiple rows which implies to me that you want to fetch the first row from the cursor, check if tot_pass = tot_fail, if they are equal, sleep for two minutes then get the next row. This does not make sense to me. Once the select in the cursor is executed, the data it returns will not change due to Oracle's read consistency model, so there seems to me no point in the sleep.
The other alternative I can see is that you want to check all the returned rows, and if tot_pass = tot_fail for one of the rows (or possibly for all of the rows), then you want to sleep and try again.
If you can explain in words what it is you are trying to accomplish, someone will be able to point you to a solution.

Need Help in Replacement of Function Modules

I am working on Upgrade project from ECC 5.0 to ECC 6.0. I am facing problems for Replacement of two Obsolete Function Modules. Please give me a solution. FM's are as follows.
1) SET_AUTHORITY : This FM is obsolete in ECC 6.0 and there is not alternative FM present in help.sap.com or any other web portal.
2) WS_QUERY : Here as per my knowledge we use class CL_GUI_FRONTEND_SERVICES and methods FILE_EXIST or DIRECTORY_EXIST as per the parameters in old FM. For parameter 'FS' we use 'FILE_EXIST' and 'DS' we use 'DIRECTORY EXIST'.
But in our program prev. FM has parameter 'OS' i.e. Operating System.
But there is not method called 'OS EXIST' or similar. Please suggest suitable method.

                   I too could not find any replacement for SET_AUTHORITY
Obsolete Modules can be used in newer versions, but it is not supported by SAP in case of any technical issues.If you still need a replacement, you can replace it by the source code in the FM SET_AUTHORITY itself and modify according to your needs.

Need help on Adhoc Request functionality in PI

Need help on the design approach . How can PI handles if Sender System prefers to send an Adhoc Request(Outbound) to PI .
Here is the complete requirement .
" An Adhoc Request is send to PI from the Legacy Sender System (Whenever Legacy system has Planned and unplanned shutdowns) . Legacy system uses web client based request ( HTTP ) to PI . As soon as the http request is received to PI . PI needs provide back the information to Legacy System "
Note : PI needs to provide the Requested data to Legacy system from the External Shared folders . (Data content is stored in an .xml format in shared folders)
I can see file adapter is one of the option which i can choose to connect to the external folders .
How can i achieve the Adhoc Request functionality ? Needs advice and suggestions on this please ?

Hi Aziz - I don't think you should worry about "Ad hoc" here. It's nothing but a specific request from your sender application.
Please refer to the scenario #8 SOAP- File and i assume it would be the same case with your interface.

I need Help with Some CSS

I am in the process of making a new template for my site.
I can't really provide any code and here's why, I need help finding the code that I need to change. The new template is actually being designed here.
If you scroll over the home link you will find a sub-menu pops up, if you scroll over the menu items they get bigger and come 'at" you, if you hover over sub-2 and then hover over sub-3 you will notice there is a wild transition effect, I need to know how to get rid of those, it is a different CSS code from another template link to my site. I can't find out how, if somebody could please help me out it would be wonderful. Thank you a whole bunch in advance.

Your menu moves for a couple of reasons first, you have a border in the hover, which is going to move all of the text. You can get rid of the border in the hover or add a border of the same size/style in the active.
The second reason it appears you have some paddng in the hover that moves the text.
Find those and you can solve the issue.

You need to create an inbound function module. Then define the process code in transaction we42 and attach the function module to this process code.
In the function module you create you need to define tables of types EDIDC (Control record (IDoc)), EDIDD (Data record (IDoc)) and BDIDOCSTAT (ALE IDoc status (subset of all IDoc status fields)).

I need help getting some photos off a really old ipod

Ok so here it is.... My grandparents way back when gave me an ipod video, I just recently found it and realized it has photo's on it that I would like to keep. My problems are 1. I don't have the original computer I used for it 2. when I plug it in my computer thinks it's a hard drive 3. autoplay won't give me the option to import the photo's to my computer and 4. itunes doesn't seem to have an option to transfer photo's from ipods to your pictures folder.... if any one could help I'd appriciate it.

The photos you synced to your iPod through iTunes are no longer in their full resolution, but instead are scaled down thumbnails of those photos. So if you do manage to get them off your iPod, they will be quite small in size compared to the original ones you lost.
In order to get them off of your iPod, you'll need the help of some sort of 3rd party software. Here is one option. You can Google for more.

Need help with some JS installing Bumpbox 2.0

I am trying to add a lightbox effect to a pdf on my website, I found a Javascript plugin at http://www.artviper.net/bumpbox-demo/index.html that looks like it should do the trick, but I am having trouble getting it to work.
To narrow down the problem I created a test.html file that I stuck in the root directory of the folder I downloaded from their site (so I am working locally off my desktop at this point)
My code is as follows... I feel like I am missing something super obvious, does anyone see it? (do I need to define the .bump class in the css file?)

Are you working within a properly defined local site?
Did you save those javascript files to the js folder in your local site root?
Correct path to scripts for this test page should look like this:

PS. Do not add spaces to folder or file names. It can create problems for web files.
