Need help on Webi

I am creating a webi report where each person has own complaint numbers.
The result I wanted to be:
Person A
Person B
Person C
1
4
7
3
5
9
2
8
6
I tried several ways but nothing come out correctly. One of them is I just put complaint number and all 3 people get same complaint numbers which I don't want. I tried use function/operator in variable editor, and it gives me multivalue error.

And alas that's the problem :-(
You need to use a mix of Dimensions and Key Figures/Value fields.
I'm just trying to think of a workaround....one that springs to mind but its really messy...
Create a one column table per Person..So form the example above you have 3 tables, aligned tightly side by side. There will be a filter on each table selecting the relevant Person. The column heading will be free text of the person's name and the row values are your complaint No.
That isn't going to be a runner though if you have a lot of Person's.

I need help in finding the Server path information for Lightroom 2. I am trying to use the Web module of Lightroom and build a website and instead of going through another hosting service, I want to use my Mobile ME account, can't I do that?
I have the user name and password obviously but what is the server path, protocol, path?

For those Mac Users using iWeb, MobileMe, and Lightroom 2, here are step-by-step instructions on how to create a web gallery in Lightroom, upload the gallery to MobileMe, and finally, how to link the uploaded files to the wesite you created in iWeb.
1. In the Lightroom Library module, create a collection of photos you want to display in your web gallery. For illustration purposes, we will call your collection Sunsets. Once created, it will be listed under Collections in the left panel of Lightroom.
2. Switch to the Lightroom Web module and select the Sunsets collection (from the panel on the left of the screen.)
3. Chose whichever template you like (from the list of Templates in the left panel).
4. Fine tune the appearance of the gallery using the controls in the right hand panel of Lightroom 2.
5. When you are satisfied with the gallery’s appearance, use your keyboard to type Command-S. That will save your template settings (give it a unique name when saving).
6. Open up Finder on your Mac. Inside your username folder, create a new folder… I'll call it Web Files. (You can choose any name you like, and locate the file anywhere on your Mac HD.) You have just created the folder username/Web Files.
7. Back in the Lightroom Web module, chose Export, at the bottom of the right panel, and export your gallery to the folder you just made (e.g. export to username/Web Files). By doing so, you will have created /username/Web Files/Sunsets.
8. Once again open Finder on your Mac. Go to /username/Web Files/Sunsets and you will see 3 files in the Sunsets folder: bin, index.html, and resources.
9. Open a second Finder window and in it, click on your iDisk icon. You will soon see all of the files on your iDisk.
10. In iDisk, click on the folder called /Web. You will now see the /Sites folder inside the /Web folder. I.e., /Web/Sites.
11. Drag the Sunsets file from your Mac HD to the /Sites folder on your iDisk. E.g, drag Sunsets from /username/Web Files/Sunsets on your Mac HD to the /Sites folder in iDisk /Web/Sites. The Sunsets folder (and the three files it contains) will now upload to your iDisk on MobileMe.
12. Open iWeb on your Mac. Add a new page to your website. Call it “Galleries,” or anything you like. (You can also use an existing page if you wish.)
13. On that “Galleries” web page (or on an existing web page), create a picture icon, or a word, or a symbol, or anything else that you will activate as a hyperlink to your iDisk web files - specifically, you will link it to the Sunsets folder you just uploaded to iDisk.
14. Activate the hyperlink in iWeb’s Inspector. In the URL box, type:
http://web.me.com/username/Sunsets (Don’t forget to substitute your name for “username” and the name of your gallery for “Sunsets.”)
15. Save your website in iWeb, and then publish your site.
You will NOT see your gallery in iWeb – you will see only the link to the gallery that you uploaded to iDisk.. To view your gallery, either make hyperlinks active, using the Inspector in iWeb and click on he link to the gallery, or visit your website on the internet. If you want to edit your gallery, you will have to do that in Lightroom… then repeat steps 7 – 11. You cannot edit your gallery in iWeb, but you can use iWeb to change the appearance of the link to your gallery, or to change it’s location within your website.

I am desperate for help guys. am trying to deploy a web application in weblogic server, but nothing works!!
I created a project in jdeveloper and created a jsp page inside the project, all what i want is to run that page!
I followed the instruction here: Deploying Fusion Web Applications , I don't really know if i did it right or wrong, the document is too detailed and not understood clearly.
I am a newbie oracle user, and trying to build jsp web application connected to oracle database. application deployment fails it says: cannot run application error deploying IntegratedWeblogic..
please could you tell me the steps of application deployment in Jdeveloper 12c?
what deployment profiles I need to create (ear, war , mar)?
what deployment descriptor I need for my app to work?
please guys I am newbie to oracle, if you could give me simplified answers and straight instructions it will be appreciated .

I am building a local web application, meaning the server is internal and will not connect to the web, only to local pcs via network. the application will insert/select data from the database server. My company wants to embed oracle technology on the datatabse and that what am trying to. I am not that expert in java and oracle in general, my main knowledge are in php, html and mysql programming. through my long internet research a lot has recommended jsp with html to be a good choice.
At beginning I played around with ADF faces, I found it annoying because I prefer coding than using drag and drop interfaces, which always create unwanted results.
Also am not that professional java programmer, i started learning jsp and found it easier.
What I am thinking of is to make a web based application that works in browsers (like php), this application has forms to insert data, and also has forms to output data for printing. that's all. I tried to make it in php, but through my little knowledge and internet researches it seems php does not work with oracle and java is the recommended choice (or it works with php but too complicated to make it)
any recommendation will be much appreciated

Newbie need help with Web BEx setup!

Out of curiosity, I decided to install Netweaver so I can have a play with it. I am a complete newbie to Netweaver therefore I apologise if this is out of context...
Here's my question:
How do one go about getting Web BEx to work?
Whenever I activate the link in the portal, I get an error about unknown "SWITCH_AXES" command and 0ANALYSIS type 4 error. I search the forum and the few passing mentions of the problem points to OSS notes that is only accessible through service marketplace (which I don't have an ID). I have check the object types in BI content and seems that 0ANALYSIS is already activated. There must be something I am missing. Tried blindly and randomly installed other BI content (mostly Web templates and objects) but to no avail (and encounted a few short dumps).
Any help is greatly appreciated!
So far, here're what I did:
1) Install Netweaver 2004S ABAP and Java on the same machine. Instance 00, 01 and 02 respectively.
2) Try to run BI-Java template installer, but met with error part way. So some of the steps are done manually.
3) Set up SLD (both instance are in the landscape), and 'partially' set up SSO. Partially as while JAVA to ABAP seems to work, ABAP to JAVA is not working. Anoying but livable.
4) Installed TREX (instance 03) and are seen by ABAP and JAVA.
5) ABAP is seen in the portal and I can create transactional iviews and put them in the Portal (with working SSO).
6) Did reverse-proxying with Apache, but I don't think it matters as it seems to be a backend module issue.
7) Business planning/wizard is working (in ABAP and Portal) as is Broadcast. As you can see, Web BEx is the only thing that is not working

The default link for Web Analyser in EP 7 seems to point to the new template. When opening the analysis template in the new BEx windows tool, the same error is being reported. Using 3.5.x WAD, I can't locate the template.
More on this issue Although for that case, the meta data is not installed. Is there a way to trace missing component and reinstall the needed BI content in RSA1?
BTW, these are on JAVA SP9 and ABAP SP11.

Newbie needs help: Authorware Web Player for Intel Mac OS X

Complete newbie here in need of assistance please.
I am using a Intel MacBook Pro 3.1 (early 2007) running Leopard OSX 10.5.8
Have paid to do basic computer Microsoft Office course via net. College still uses MS 2003 and so I bought Office for Mac 04 as I was told all
I needed to be able to do this course was to be able to open office docs via email.
Have just received the course book and page 2 tells me to download Macromedia Flash and Authorware Web Players 5 and 7.
Flash loads without a glitch. Went to Adobe-Downloads-Web Players page, scrolled down to Authorware player which lists both a compact and a complete version of Web Player 7 for OS X on Safari. But here's the kicker - it specifically states for Power PCs. I tried to download it anyway and
of course it will not load. So I am apparently up the proverbial creek as far as the course goes.
So my question is this: Has Adobe just wiped its hands of all mac users of this app once Apple changed to the Intel architecture?
Or does anyone know of a work around or another app that can help me out of this problem?
Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated as I am supposed to have started this course and unbelievably cannot get past page 2!

Just thought I would give you an update on my problem. I was contacted by the lovely Matt from Adobe customer care, who was right on the ball as far as accessing my problem and was as helpful as can be. With regards to the problems you’re having, the course book is probably indicating these older Flash and Authorware Player versions simply because they were contemporary when the book was authored. The Player teams put a lot of work into ensuring that new versions can play any content that worked in the previous versions. So my recommendation is to uninstall any older versions, and just install the most recent versions of the players. These should be capable of playing any content that was authored for use by players 5 & 7 ,etc.

Need help in web dispatcher settings for redirect

Hello All!
I need to redirect users from one URL (http://webdispatch:port1/abc/efg) to another (http://host2:port2/abc/efg) but URL in browser must stay unchanged (http://webdispatch:port1/abc/efg) after redirect. As I think server should get requested URL from browser, internally redirect to URL #2 and send response of URL #2 to browser.
I've set up Web Dispatcher for redirecting by using parameter icm/HTTP/redirect_0, but now URL in browser is changing with http://host2:port2/abc/efg
icm/HTTP/redirect_0 = PREFIX=/,FOR=webdispatch:,FROM=/sap/bc/webdynpro/sap/zwd_rep,HOST=host2,PORT=port2
How I can do it?

I've tried to comment wdisp/permission_table parameter but it had no effect. And it seems that I've made a mistake: I forgot to comment icm/HTTP/redirect_0 while tested work of icr file.

You cannot hide the block or columns in Webi thinking that you are accessing Webi reports through infoview. You should make the report invisible by matching the table/column borders and the text color with the back ground color. And align the tables appropriately so that it doesnt appear as empty space in the report.
But why are you having table 1 when you want to hide the table. Similarly with column 1 of table 2. Just get the data you need in the report.

Need help resolving Web Cache upgrading error

I successfully installed 10g AS on top of my 9i AS (9.0.3) on a different Oracle home. Then I proceeded to run the Upgrade Assistant (iasua.bat). Everything went well except the upgrade of Web Cache failed. I'm only installing/upgradeing the J2EE and Web Cache. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I'm running on XP SP2.
the following are the lines in iasua.log related to the error:
2007/04/04 21:10:22.890 GMT NOTIFICATION:1 Framework: Starting to upgrade WebCache.
2007/04/04 21:10:23.515 GMT ERROR:1 WebCache: Invalid element 'MULTIVERSIONHEADERSRULE' in content of 'CACHEABILITYRULE', expected elements '[SELECTORS]'.

What that means is Silverlight can't find a required component.
When I clicked on the site, it loaded pretty slow but I got to see the login screen without error.
Either the expected dll is cached on my machine or you have an intermittent problem.
As I'm a some-time Silverlight developer I could well have necessary dll if they are standard components.
As an outside chance...
You could try clearing your cache in case it's a versioning issue.
Failing that, I suppose you could maybe install the Silverlight and blend sdk.
One thing you could easy try.
Does Silverlight work for you generally?

Need help with web mail sound

Apparently in seup in web mail, one can check the box for a sound to be heard when new mail arrives...ie.."You got mail or something to that effect." Getting info on this subject or any subject is like pulling teeth ..all i get is links that do not answer to my problem. What will it take to get a live person or at the least a response to my question. Also, when I open verizon.net to read or see if I have had any mail, I sign in correctly, and am asked if i forgot my password. I didn't forget, apparently verizon has...so just on a whim, in that same page, I click on the link email and voila, i see my mail...Now, that being said, whats to prevent anyone else to read my mail by doing the same thing? I even resetted the password...and I thought Time warner internet was bad.

Need Help: Could WEBI report directly based on EXCEL file be refreshed?

In 3.0, Could WEBI reports directly based on EXCEL file be refreshed, after exporting to BOE platform?
I've made a test on that and find out WEBI report could not be freshed in Infoview while DESKI report could.
Some colleague suggest me to build the WEBI report based on a Universe created based on the EXCEL file.
I want to confirm, is it a by-design that we could only refresh WEBI report based on universe? or I could do some setting to made the refreshment of WEBI based directly on EXCEL file works?

You could try the Rich Client Product Guide [http://help.sap.com/businessobject/product_guides/boexir3/en/xi3_web_intelligence_rich_client_en.pdf] but I don't think it is a problem...more like a feature by design - it makes sense.

Hi all I am currently studying A Level ICT and for our coursework we have to produce a website using Adobe GoLive. I have encountered a problem as I am manufacturing an online sports shop and instead of having portal pages I was considering have a dropdown tab (not sure what they are called) appear once you hover over a button. It may interest you to know that Adobe stopped product development and support for GoLive back on April 28, 2008. I'm flummoxed as to why you are being taught to use obsolete software. You should be working with modern web developer's tools, not an outdated product that will never again see the day of light.
Dreamweaver CS5 generates web standards code for 2011. GoLive does not. If interested, Dreamweaver has an Academic Rate for students and teachers. Please pass along this info to your teacher.

Need help developing web services on Jdeveloper

Hi,
I'm having some problems developing a particular web service using jdeveloper 10.1.2.1.0 (build 1913).
The web service is located on a remote computer (windows server 2003 SP1), deployed on a jboss3.2.5.
I got the following error:
java.lang.ClassCastException: oracle.xml.parser.v2.XMLText

The web service is from a product that we have that converts documents to pdf.
Any ideas ??
However, I will try to intall the product on another machine that has connection outside the company network to put the WSDL link here for anyone who wants to test it .

Would really help if you could provide the wsdl and also steps to reproduce this exception, for us to try it out locally.
You could also try to install the latest JDev 10.1.3.1 available on OTN, to see if it works on it.
