Need help: page wont preview in browser properly

I am stuck designing the layout for this page right now. I'll attach what I have and the sample template that I based it off of. I cant figure out why it seems to display just fine in dreamweaver but when previewing in a browser everything is bunched to the side and it looks nothing like how it looks in dreamweaver.

Please help - can't preview in Browser

Ok - I am relatively new to Dreamweaver, even though I designed my previous website in Frontpage. I bought a template thinking that I could just worry about designing the website rather than the background stuff (don't get mad at me). Well, that wasn't working and I tried to design my own template, which is very simple. Anyway, I am so messed up now. The old pages with the old template won't preview in browser and the new ones won't either. What did I do?

Need help with Rollover Image cross browser problem

Hello,
I am having a cross browser problem with my websites rollover nav links. The trouble is, while they work perfectly fine in IE8 and IE9, I’ve also attempted to use them through Opera, and they simply don’t work. They don’t link nor do they do their rollover effect. And I was trying to figure out what I have done wrong. Currently the site is not completed, but the first two pages are, the “news” and “about me” pages are currently (as of right now) working. I hope that someone can help me with this, if needs be I can put the code for the CSS and HTML into this part if it will save some time for everyone. Sorry too about the PNG images, I have to change those over to semi-transparent GIF’s yet so the site does take a while to load…

When I disable CSS in my browser, the rollover buttons work just fine. This tells me your CSS is messed up and you've layered something over your menus which is making them inaccessible to users.
I noticed you've applied relative positioning to just about everything on your page. Why?   Default CSS positioning (unspecified or static) is all you need for 98% of layouts.

My advice would be to start over using a pre-built CSS Template with all the divisions and columns you're likely to need for this project. Below are some good links to get you on the right track.

Why is there an empty space on the right of my page when previewed in browser?

I've followed the guidelines on the design section of Muse but when I preview the page in the browser, I can scroll right and there be more of the page that hasn't been designed. I'm not sure what Pinning is but does it have something to do with that? I'm pretty sure it's an easy fix but I'm new to Muse and can't figure it out! Please Help!

The browser window is whatever automatically comes up, but it loads filling the whole browser window. The problem is that you can scroll into empty space.
I really don't understand pinning at all, could you give me a brief explanation of what it is or a link to a tutorial video that can. Thank you so much for the help guys!
Also, you'll notice the facebook feed I got from the facebook developers site isn't working. They say the message displayes comes up when the "author then deletes the post or changes the post audience selector from public"
All our posts are public so don't know who to fix this?

Need help with margins & footer, and browser display issues....

I am working on a splash page in Dreamweaver, but am having trouble with the margins and the footer.
1. Margins: I basically want/need the center contents of the page never to extend past the contents of the header and footer.
If you look at the page header, the logo on the top left and "Student and Faculty Portal" should be the margins. Seems to look fine on some users' systems, but not consistent across our department.
2. Footer: I can't seem to figure out how to keep the footer at the bottom without rising above the background image across all browsers & screen sizes. Looks fine on some, but too high or low on others. (Looks the worst when the background image shows underneath the footer).
3. Browser/Screen Size: Depending on which PC I am using, my page changes. At the office, on my 26" monitors, my page looks fine, however, when on different laptops, my right div (that contains the login table) goes under the left. How can I code my page so that it looks consistent on all?
I guess my main complaint/need is for my page to look consistent regardless of screen size, browser or system.
If you could take a look, I would greatly appreciate it.

1. Create a div around your content, give it a width and margin: 0 auto;
2. Follow this tutorial. It will be a lifesaver and it sounds like what you are trying to do: http://css-tricks.com/snippets/css/sticky-footer/
3. See #1. In addition, remove right-margin from login box, add float: right; and remove float: left; from main content.

Airport Card help - still wont work in browser

Hi there
I posted a while ago and have now bought and installed an airport card successfully. I want to use my ibook wirelessly using my bt wireless broadband router. The airport card is picking up the BT voyager router signal strongly and apparantly it is really easy from here on but I cant get anything to work from here on. I assumed I'd just open the browser and it would work but it keeps coming up with a message about the server not working.
I am so angry with how long it has taken me to get a mac on the internet, I shant be buying another in the future but for now I am using a friends windows laptop with all the wires connected.
Can ANYONE please please help me!!?? I do not need anymore hardware type objects do I? I'm stumped

What is the MHz rating of your iBook?
What version of the Mac OS are you using? (We need to know this because the method for setting up AirPort is a little different in each.) Guessing that you are in a version of OS X, go to System Preferences > Network and make sure that AirPort is selected as your means of getting on your network.
How are you connecting to the internet? Are you connecting via a DSL modem, a cable modem, or what?
Which model of wireless router do you have?

Click on the topic, "Im unable to access the Voyager Config Manager on my Macintosh..." However, choose the AirPort settings instead of Ethernet.
I'm no expert on this, because my iBooks (all four of them) have just found our network with no problem.

My Dreamweaver CS4 wont 'preview in browser' my changes?

Actually it will preview but it will not display images. I can correctly preview pages I've already uploaded to my website but now that I need to make revisions I cant really see what I'm doing? Any advice, suggestions?....

I've attached the code below. I've stripped out everything to try & isolate the problem. The div tag with the "Header" id just contains a background image & the div with an id of "SampleImage" also contains a background image both of which (jpeg) will not display. Is this an issue with the files in this directory needing to be checked out..or am I having an issue with a viewing option I need to change. If there are any suggestions or advice it would be appreciated......thanks.

Need Help - Page Centering on Monitor

I am trying to center my index.html page on the center of my
monitor. When I view it on my monitor it is always locked onto the
left side of my monitor. I am using "fixed width" for my page
layout. My code looks ok. I feel the problem is in my "body tag"
but everything looks ok. What and where am I not seeing?
I forgot to mention..... I am using Dreamweaver CS3.

My DW CS4 pages wont show on browser until I deleted recordset from pages. Why any one?

After designing my search and blog site, and went on to try to add image upload so clients and visitors could upload images, to the site, but instead things fell apart shortly after that. I started to have serious design problem.
I start to witness problem with the recordset on the registration page, login page search and the rest of the recordset where ever they live in the design. Presently, I am using MSN SQL SERVER 2005 for my database and I didn’t see any problem using it. I also used msn access in the past before turning to SQL.
Haven’t said all these, my question are to see if any one knows how to fix my problem.
PROBLEM: When I open any of the pages to test my design, the page will not open on the browser. It will rather point to recordset on the error 404 page and soon the recordset is completely taken out of the page, the page will then open on the browser. Does any one know how I could fix the problem I have with Dreamweaver CS4?

You have scripting errors on the page. First step is to turn off friendly error messages in your browser to see if it will provide more meaningful error messages. However, since it's a 404, it could be that your host has disabled detailed error reporting as a security measure. Try to get that enabled so you can see the details of the errors. Without that, it's nearly impossible to troubleshoot.

Need Help phone wont turn on after update to 6.1.1

i did the update of the 6.1.1 yesterday and everything was okay but now my battery says its 1% my phone wont turn on at all how can i fix this my battery was fully charged and still in charger it went from 100% to 1% in less then a hour please help i cant even turn on my phone

Settings>iCloud>Storage and Backup>Manage Storage. Select the phone that doesn't say "this phone" then scroll down and choose Delete Backup

Need help why wont my comp realize its there but it kinda does??

Okay guys, I have an ipod nano and i have downloaded the newest verison like 3 times now...7.something. When i plug my ipod in it says charging so it knows its there a little bit but when my Itunes auto comes up my ipod doesnt show. And i dont know any other way to see ittttttt!! So help me guys

The ipod and iphone will not connect. This has never been a feature of either device.
Bluetooth is supported for stereo headsets/speakers, handsfree telephone devices/headsets, some keyboards, some peer-to-peer apps from the app store and internt tethering where provided by the carrier.
Other than this, it will not connect to another device/phone/computer.

Need Help: Computer Wont Load!!!

ok here is what happened. my girlfriend was using her computer last night and it froze...she tried to restart it but it wont restart.
it starts up but just stays at the gray screen with the apple in the middle..what can we do...is the computer dead?

No, things will stay the same. The actual steps are:
1. Inserting the disc, pressing the power button, and immediately after the startup chime, press and hold the C key until you see the spinning gear icon appear on the grey splash screen.
2. After the machine has booted, pick your language, and when the Installer window appears, do not press Continue, but go to the Utilities menu in the menubar and open Disk Utility.
3. In Disk Utility, choose your normal startup volume in the pane on the left and then click Repair Disk. If any errors show in the window, run Repair Disk again until you see 'The volume appears to be OK' in green.
4. Quit Disk Utility, quit the installer and attempt to restart into your regular startup volume.
