Need Help Please! RE: iMac Apps Deleted
HI,
I am trying to help a family member who has an iMac 2011? Running Snowleopard.
He deleted several items from a Finder Window, such as "PREVIEW". He dragged it into
the trash and emptied the trash. (Please don't ask me why-I don't know!)
Does this mean that Preview is deleted or is it actually somewhere in the system?
I do not think he has Timemachine turned on.

In addition to Frank's suggestion, whatever components were removed can be restored using Pacifist.

Desparately need help please!
I accidentally deleted a note that was quite important, though not the end of the world if I lost it. Then I looked at iTunes and there's the 'Restore Backup' button under 'Backups'. So I thought, OK why don't I try click that and see if the note is in the back up.
But after clicking it, without asking for confirmation it just went ahead and restored my iPhone to a very old state. So my recent photos, notes, etc, now all disappeared! Only the apps appear to be merged - so my recently deleted apps came back and my existing ones are still there as well. I was hoping for the notes and photos the restore process would do the same but apparently not.
Is there any way I can revert this restore process so I can go back to the state before I did the restore?
Thanks in advanced for any help.Just update your replacement phone to the latest iOS in iTunes. (Connect it to your computer, open iTunes, click on the name of the phone in iTunes, go to the Summary tab of your iTunes sync settings and click Check for Update. You may receive a prompt when you launch iTunes that an update is available; if so, update from there.) When given the options, set it up as a new iPhone.
Then eject it from iTunes, disconnect it from your computer, go to Settings>General>Reset, tap Erase All Content and Settings, go through the setup screens and when given the option, choose Restore from iCloud Backup. You should be able to restore from your backup now. Be sure your phone is connected to wifi and your charger and this will take some time to finish. -

To turn off auto sync - launch iTunes and go to Edit>Preferences>Devices - check the box at the bottom that says - Prevent iPod, iPhones and iPads from syncing automatically. Click OK and then quit iTunes.
Connect your iDevice to your PC.
Launch iTunes,
Click on the device name on the left side of the iTunes Window.
Click on the Photos Tab in the iTunes window on the right.
Untick all of the photos or albums that you want to remove.
Click on Apply in the lower right corner of iTunes
If you untick or uncheck the Sync Photos heading and then click Apply it will remove all of the photos from the device when it syncs. In this screenshot - I have only certain albums and events selected to sync. -

I need help please. I have 6 apps updates shown on on the upper right corner of the app store icon. When i tried to open the apps store and go to updates, the apps that need to be updated were not appearing therefore i have no idea what those apps are so that i can update them. Hi,
usually when you upgrade, it should not delete your files, but if it happens, than you should have a backup.
Unfortunately it is very common, that people don't know, what exactly is in the backup.
The question is, what files exactly you are missing? Own pictures, or taken with the device? Purchased music form the iTunes Store, or own? ....
Documents and files are mostly up to the developer of the app, if they are part of the backup, usually not and you need to transfer them before.
In the backup you will find just pictures from the Camera Rolle folder, everything else you should have on the PC, if you had it on the device.
Same then for music, you can transfer purchased music from the device, but your own works just one direction, from PC to device, from device to PC it doesn't work.
In future I recomand you to be sure how the backup works or use a 3rd party app (iExplorer) where you have a little bit more "freedome" than with iTunes.
Or you maybe just restored from the worng backup -
How can I add a new Template to My Templates in Pages? I've read most of the discussions on the subject but it doesn't work for me. By the time I reach the Templates folder, I only see templates for Numbers and not for Pages. Need help, please. Thanks

Chez moi, il y en a une kyrielle en dehors des dossiers standards parce que je renomme wxcvb.template quasiment tous mes documents Pages et wxcvb.nmbtemplate à peu près tous mes documents Numbers.
Ainsi, quand je travaille sur un document, je ne suis pas ralenti par Autosave.

first, head into your Add/Remove programs and uninstall your QuickTime. if it goes, good. if it doesn't, we'll just attend to it when we attend to itunes.
next, download and install the revo uninstaller http://http://www.revouninstaller.com/revo_uninstaller_free_download.html. use it to clear any existing itunes and/or QuickTime installation configuration information from the PC.
next download itunes. it worked for me hope this is helpful!!
oonce you get into the revo uninstallergo thru to delete itunes hit uninstall on the itunes icon then you will go thru to it will tell u the same nmessage about the feature and network hit cancell then go thru and hit scan (make sure bthe advance scan button is pushed) this will take awhile but go thru the list and hit everything associated with itunes. hit delete then install itunes again. it worked for me hope it works for you! -

Reboot your iPad.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up completely and then try again. -
