Need help resorting ~ 1,000 songs that defaulted into "90's Music" category

These songs that I imported from CDs all have the correct genre (Alternative, World, etc.) indicated next to them, but they appear ONLY in the '90's Music category now, and not also in the categories for those individual genres. I'd like to move them into the correct genres, and maybe even delete the '90's Music category altogether to avoid this happening again (since I don't know how or why it did this anyway). I didn't see any options on how to do this in the File or Edit menus. Anyone have any ideas that would ideally allow me to accomplish this move by group/genre vs. by individual song? Thanks very much!

the '90s music category is a smart playlist which contains every song with a year between 1990 and 1999, it has nothing to do with genre
Smart playlists are a really useful feature on iTunes and you can create them from the file menu or by shift (i believe its shift though its alt on the Mac so try that and control too) clicking on the plus in the bottom left, the icon will change so you can do this so try the key first if you see what i mean....
You can create smart playlists with genre, when you have created one you can choose different options, you can also create them based on other playlists so you can do more advanced combinations...
PS all your music should be in your library My library at the top. Music can also be in multiple smart playlists too.

I created a ringtone from a song on my itunes and accidentally did not save the original. When I synced the phone, the song copied across as 30 secs. I have tried deleting this song from both iTunes and my phone, resynced, downloaded the song again, resynced. But the song is still playing as only 30 secs long on my iphone. (It is playing as the full song on my itunes though.) Can anyone please help?

DIY Using computer iTunes, follow the steps carefully:
If you are using Windows, make sure you are able to view the file extension.

1. Select a title (.mp3 or .m4a) in your iTunes Music Library
2. Do File > Get Info on selected title (Windows do Edit > Get Info)
3. In the dialog choose Options tab
4. Set Start Time and End Time (no more than 35 secs otherwise won't work)
5. Close dialog.
6. Now control click the title (right click) and choose Create AAC Version
Note: If you don't have Create AAC version, switch in menu File > Preferences...(Windows do Edit > Preferences...) > General > Import Settings... > Import Using: AAC Encoder.
7. When it is done, drag the newly create title to the desktop.
8. Delete the newly create title in iTunes. <-- This step is important
9. Rename the title on your desktop from ringtone.m4a to ringtone.m4r
10. Drag and drop it into iTunes
Now you have a ringtone.
Make sure it is selected in iTunes > Tones for syncing with your new iPhone.

Hello why cant we store more then 25,000 songs that have been uploaded in the Icloud from my cd's, I'm a DJ and the purpose of getting the Icloud was not only for backup but to have access to all my music and this 25,000 song limit is not acceptable for me. I also upgraded my icloud drive to 200gb in hope that this would help, did it? I dont know as of yet, I just did it any thoughts out there??

I need help finding an old library that it states my ipod is already linked to. My computer recently had a terrible virus and needed to be wiped clean. I had to redownload itunes and I bought several songs. I want to add them to my old library because I had several cd's that I had uploaded. Is there a way to find that old library and combine them without having to erase all the songs that are currently on my ipod??? Thanks

Umm. If you wiped the hard drive, then all old libraries are gone unless you have them on backup.

You cannot use iTunes to transfer song files from iPod to computer, except for songs purchased from the iTunes Store. However, there are third-party methods and utilities that can transfer from iPod to computer. If you do an Internet search on something like"iPod transfer," you should get some links. (The CNET article seems to be popular.)
Once the song files are on your computer's drive, you can add them to your iTunes library, and then sync your iPad.

Go up to the top of your screen on iTunes and click on 'Store'. Then go down to 'Authorize This Computer'. That should cover part of it unless you've already authorized a bunch of other computers to use your account. If that's the case, you'll have to go to one of those computers and click the button just below it to 'deauthorize your account' from that computer. If you're not able to access the store, check your internet connection to make sure you are connected. Hope this helps.. good luck!

The ID Program folder will be relevant to your OS...
I took a shot and right clicked on my Scripts Samples, choose reveal in Explorer and opened up the ID Program folder.
As shown, there is a Fonts folder.
Drag/Copy/Paste fonts to this folder.

You mean an image such as a scanned document?
If that is the case, the file doesn't contain any text for Reader Out Loud to read. In order to fix that, you would need an application such as Adobe Acrobat that does Optical Character Recognition to convert the images to actual text.
You can also try to export the file as a Word document or something else using ExportPDF which I believe offers OCR and is cheaper than Acrobat.

You probably need to set up (or update) automatic syncing.
Find the shuffle in the iTunes sidebar, under DEVICES, and select it there. If the iTunes sidebar (along left side of window) is not visible, from the menu bar, under View, select Show Sidebar.
With the shuffle selected in iTunes, there is a bar of buttons near the top, starting with Summary. Click on Music next to Summary. This is the shuffle's Music screen, where you tell iTunes how to sync songs to the shuffle.
Check the box for Sync Music. You can choose to sync Entire music library, if your iTunes music library is small and fits on the shuffle. With this setting, your entire iTunes music library syncs to the shuffle, and new songs get synced automatically. Otherwise, you can choose to sync Selected playlists, artists, albums, and genres. Then, select (checkmark) the playlists, artists, albums, and/or genres you want on the shuffle from the lists below. If you want newly added songs to sync to the shuffle, they must be part of your selection. For example, you can add them to a playlist that you have selected for syncing to the shuffle.
When you click Apply, the songs from your selection sync to the shuffle. Going forward, changes to your iTunes library (based on your settings on the shuffle's Music screen) sync automatically to the shuffle, the next time it is connected (or when you click Sync).

I got a Mac and started buying music on it, and My PC has all of my whole Itunes library which is like 1000+. Well I want to put all of my music on my Mac, But everytime I plug it in and ask it to sync all music it tells me that I have to erase my Ipod and sync in with the music on my Mac... If the change between the 2 types of data has to happen dynamically during run time them
1. Use 2 dataproviders
a. Current
b. Historic
2. Merge the 2 dimensions
3. Use Webi variable to switch between the measure of the current and historic universe
Ex if [year] < 2010 then historic.[expense] else current.[expense]

You're right, it would have been covered under warranty. But because of the user damage, chances are there's a 200-something dollar fee . If you explain to them that it had a defect previously, they might replace it for you at no charge. **MIGHT**. But they would have to believe that it had a defect previously.

Need help to transfer itunes songs from older ipod to newer ipod

I have an older ipod (one of the first generations!?) that I have downloaded songs from itunes years ago; however, those songs are not in my itune library. I now have a 3rd generation nano 8GB that I would like to put these songs on. I have tried downloading them to my laptop and then transferring into library. The songs will transfer into itunes library, but I can't get them to transfer onto the ipod. I transfer manually (don't sync songs)because I also have two sons that also have ipod nano and shuffle. When I click and drag the song from my library to the desired folder on my ipod it tells me that my computer isn't authorized. I have authorized the computer repeatedly and I still get the same message! I noticed the songs are protected and wonder...does that have anything to do with not being able to transfer?
The songs were originally purchased on itunes store several years ago. I don't know why the 30 to 40 songs I have on the original ipod are NOT in the library, but I would really like them to be on my new ipod. (I have 200 plus songs that are on both ipods/library.) Can anyone help me? I feel I have tried everything and getting extremely frustrated! Are these songs a lost cause?
