Need help sourcing Lenovo Soleil S620 drivers or restore disk

Hi all,
I have in front of me an ancient tablet PC from Lenovo known as a "Soleil S620". I believe it was an Asian-market only product.

It's a cute, lightweight and slow little number, and somewhere along the way someone wiped the drive and installed a non-genuine copy of Windows XP (in Chinese, too). I'd like to return it to its Windows XP Tablet PC Edition roots if possible.
I'm betting a restore disk is going to be hard to come by, so if I have to just reinstall it with a genuine copy of XP without enabling the tablet transformation and touch screen, etc, that's fine, but sourcing the drivers is going to be difficult.
Help? Anyone? Thanks in advance!

I found some old posts on your machine and some links, but the links were dead.
You could try this . This is a driver updater that works and it's free. Being that it is free, it will try to install toolbars and extra programs. Don't let it. The main reason to use it is it will give you a complete list of the hardware in your machine and it should give you your graphics.
Your machine was made in 2005 and I had the same problem with graphics in an x41 which was made the same year. Windows 7 wouldn't let me install the driver, I had to manually install it. You'll probably have the same problem. Hopefully, it will have Intel graphics.

Need help with error: No bootable device -- insert boot disk and press any key

Hello, I need help will my laptop and the error, the message says "no bootable device ", I have tried taking out the hard drive but it still doesn't work. My laptop is a Satillite C55D-A5372. I need help with this; if you know about this ans know how to fix it please reply or email me @ [email protected]

if you got into the bios/uefi and have determined that the hdd is being detected then that is good. At least the hdd is operating to some extent, although still may be corrupt OS or the like.
Eagle asked you what OS your using (i.e., Windows 8.1 64-bit, Windows 7 32-bit, etc.). I see that English is not your native language so we'll just have to work with that as best we can.
Did you make any changes to the operating system (OS) as a result of the link you posted, and what were they?

Need help to COMPLETELY uninstall HP drivers & software fm pc running Win 7

I am having difficulty with completely removing and uninstalling the HP drivers and software from my Dell Inspiron 830. I am running Windows 7.
I have attempted a number of times use the uninstall feature under programs and applications in Windows. This seemed to remove the applications from the list, but HP Update dated 7/7/10 2.97mb in size version 5.002.006.003 will not remove. In addition, my system keeps attempting to load SmartWebPrinting at various intervals.
I have downloaded and ran the uninstall utility (running it the 4 times as indicated) but still have the same problems.
Please let me know what specific steps I may take to completely remove this software from my machine, including the registry entries, startup services, and/or whatever else I need to do to get it OFF MY SYSTEM!!! Thank you.

Revo uninstaller will remove everything but you have to start with it first. When using Revo if the hp uninstall ask you to reboot Don't. If you did not start to remove with Revo, reinstall the hp program and then start over with Revo uninstaller.
This will clean it out program by program.

I could get into the story of how I convinced my wife this version is the answer to some of her problems I have tried all drivers, windows xp, windows xp 64 (since the wnidows 7 version is 64bit), (Vista both versions drivers because supposedly windows 7 was built of that frame work) Also got mass Storage controller (problems) Multimedia Audio Controller (problems) PCI Modem (problems) I have had problems ever since one of the disc I burned for restore purposes for windows that came with the system (windows media edition) bit the dust. 1.Problem with audio driver:
Conexant AC97 Audio driver here
1) Download above file
2) Run sp35558.exe. It will fail.
3) Go to directory where sp35558.exe unpacked it's files.
4) Open CP6308Ba.inf file in notepad.
5) Find line:
[Conexant.NTamd64]

6) Copy line. Insert copy on new line, right above original. Add &REV_02 to end of line. It will look like this:

This method was reported as working in Vista64 and Windows 7 64bit version on Dv8000 models.

Click with right button of Your mouse on each yellow sign and choose properties. Then go to bottom details and paste here Hardware Ids. This way we will know what it is.

Need help with Lenovo Thinkvision L2461X

Two of the threaded inserts for the VESA mount on the back of my L2461X display fell inside the case when the display was disconnected from the VESA bracket. The two parts are now rolling around inside the case, and there's no way to remount the display to the VESA bracket. Disregarding the incompetent design that used a press fit into thin plastic, making the inserts almost certain to fall out eventually, I now need instructions on how to open the back of the display case so I can extricate the loose parts and glue them back into their proper places. Otherwise, a perfectly good display is useless to me. Where can I find instructions on how to open the case?

I appreciate that they aren't intended to be "user serviceable." However, I'm not attempting to service the electronics. I want to repair what is an obvious design flaw that results in an unusable device but is entirely mechanical. Please direct me to someone who can provide at least a hint as to how to open the case.

Need help with Mac & PC not recognizing external drive (disk not readable)

I am having trouble getting my computer(s) to recognize my Seagate External Drive.
Have tried on my MacBook, iMac, 2 Mini's & my roommate's PC and all reveal the same issue: The Disk you inserted was not readable by this computer.
MacBook/iMac both are working off of Leopard
Both Mini's are on Tiger
It won't show up in finder, rendering it unobtainable. I need to get the information if at all possible off of this hard drive (very important!!) so any help I can get would be greatly appreciated!

so it looks like a whole lot of no's that need to be turned around! I can't understand why it won't be read by either Mac or PC with all of this, or how I can fix it

According to the Genius Bar, my HD is dying. I need help with such things as making a boot disk, making sure back up is complete, etc. I have a White early 2008 MacBook running 10.7.3. It is backed up regularly with Time Machine to an external drive.

I am not a real tech type person. MAcBook white early 2008 running 10.7.3. I know I will need a boot disk to restart the computer after I have installed the new drive. I have purchased a Hitachi 500 G, 7200 RPM to install. The computer is backed up regularly using Time Machine to an external hard drive. I nned to know all the steps I need to do before physically changing the hardware.

Do you have your original drive backed up? Is it still working? If so I'd buy an external enclosure and boot from that. Then format your new drive and use Carbon Copy Cloner to clone your old drive to the new one.
If you don't have a backup, I'd buy an external drive, use carbon copy cloner to do a backup, then install the new drive and clone back to it.

It is standard for Lion and Mountain Lion.
Reboot the TC to fix it.
If you actually run Lion then you can install 5.6 utility and just go to the disk page and click disconnect all users.. this is usually enough to fix it.. on the previous backup TM hasn't dismounted the sparsebundle correctly and so cannot mount it again.

Open the email and then from the File menu select Save As Rich Text Format. That'll save it to open in TextEdit. If you want a pdf then open the email and do command-p (Print) and then from the PDF drop down box lower left corner select Save as PDF.

Hi Hannah, welcome to the forums,
you can find the drivers on the following site;

You could maybe save yourself some effort by installing the LAN or wireless LAN driver, (yours is Intel abg), connect to the internet and then install SystemUpdate which should get all the rest of the drivers you need.

I started my journey with Thinkpads on a T42, then T43.. then T61, X61T, R61 & T410 (bought for 2 cousins & they love it), W510 (dads new laptop). I may be a much recent convert but I swear by them now.
MAJOR ISSUE: Recently started feeling RSI (Repetitive Stress) & Carpal Tunnel symptoms (already doing stretches.. adjusted the desk.. & finding new adjustable LCD stand) since I am not using the Thinkpad directly... but using it docked with an External keyboard. Lot of Mousing as well. I'd like to go back to Thinkpad FEEL... or atleast have keyboard with a pointing device so my hands dont have to keep moving back n forth.
So, it would be great it some of my fellow T4x/T6x/X6x 'ers would guide me a bit on this... share their first hand experience, or what they've seen on these keyboards and feel free to point me to reliable sources of information.
Currently this would greatly be use with T61 - Adv Mini Dock - 30" XHD3000 LCD as shown in my signature below.
Anyone who has used or know something about one of these Thinkpad related keyboard (ideally both of these to give a comparative response).

At the moment I have a "slim" BTC 6200C desktop keyboard. It has laptop like scissor keyswitches, so I like it the slim notebook like profile.
The way I have positioned my 30" LCD I'd like to be able to keep the keyboard on my lap at times while on my chair and maybe on the desk at times.

I had the same issue - had to go to voice command for a few weeks (sucked) wore wrist gards to keep things netural.
Everything went away when I changed to a USB keyboard with the Ultra nav (I use the track point and disable the pad).
I've been working like that for 6+ years now... no issues.
(as a side note, sleeping with wrist guards on helped heal me the fastest. I had neoprine, with a metal plate in them - from a local drug store)
