Why would you not be able to use your existing Apple ID and iTunes account on a new laptop? If you authorized the computer - you should be able to use your existing account - unless you already had 5 computers authorized with the existing ID - and that was why iTunes would not accept the ID. However, I'm sure that you would have received a popup message from iTunes telling you that you had reached the limit.
I just received a new MBP and my daughter did as well. My entire family shares an Apple ID and we had no issues at all with my Apple ID and iTunes on our new computers and I did not have to sign up for a new account. Did you even try the old ID?

not all the lines have ETF's. I have 30 tablets and the rest phones. The phones have ETFs and the tablets are all month to month.
The total to move my account over is going to come out to about $8500.

Need help in restoring back to default Wallpaper

Hi,
My friend did change the IPad Wallpaper and when i try to restore it back to the original wall paper. I don't find it at all. Now how do i restore back to the
default wallpaper.
I did try the below options to restore
1. Reset Home Screen Layout
2. Reset all Settinggs
3. Default by pressing Home Key + Sleep/Wake Button for 10 secs until Apple Logo appears
But none helped to restore it. Need help in restoring back to old wallpaper.

James, in case you are having a problem, these are the steps:
1. Restart the computer holding the Command and R keys
2. In the OS X Utilities window, select Disk Utility and click continue
3. From the sidebar, select your internal disk drive
4. Click the Erase tab near the top of the Disk Utility window
5. Choose Mac OS Extended (Journales) from the pop-up menu
6. Change the name of the disk drive if you want to
7. Click the Erase button near the bottom right of the Disk Utility window
8. In the confirmation dialog that appears, click Erase
9. From the menu bar, choose Disk Utility > Quit Disk Utility
10. In the OS X Utilities winddow, select Reinstall OS X and click Continue
11. In the Install OS X window, click Continue
12. Read and licenss agreement and click Agree
13. In the confirmation dialog that appears, click Agree
14. Select your computer's disk drive form the list of available volumes, click Install
The installer will recreate an OS X Recovery HD, and then restart to the newly created OS X Recovery HD, and then continue with the remainder of the isntall process. This second part may take a while so be patient. When it completes, the iMac will restart again into the installed copy of Mac OS X as a new machine. You will be greeted by the full Setup Assistant.

After unlocking my iphone 4s and restored it i put a virgin mobile sim card in it now i can only recieve calls. no messaging at all!!! i have updated and restored it twice and still nothing. the phone worked perfectly fine before updating to the new ios6.

i bought this i phone from my cousin and it was with telus. they unlocked it. i came home and did a restore on the phone. i put a virgin mobile sim card in it and now can only recieve phone calls and call out. no messaging or data or anything else. To be honest not being able to send or recieve messages and data is a carrier issue, not a phone issue since u said that your calls are working, if i were you my first course of action would be to get a new sim card from virgin mobile, or to restore the device as new one more time, if you restore the device as new AND get a new sim card from your carrier and those features still dont work, i would take the device to an apple store

Your computer comes with Win 8 pre-installed but one of the steps to install/run Windows 8.1 is having updated drivers for Windows 8.1
Please, go to Control Panel -> System (or Start -> type winver and open) and verify what is your current version - if it is Windows 8 or 8.1
Windows 8 is version 6.2.x
Windows 8.1 is version 6.3.x
If Windows 8 in place, then , please read this article and enroll in the steps:

When I log on to itunes store with my apple ID>purchased (new) i only get the lists for apps and books. Not music. Anybody know a different way to redownload my songs ??

Currently music purchases can only be re-downloaded if you are in the US. If you aren't in the US then have you got a backup of your purchases on external drives and/or another computer ?

Take the device to Apple or an Apple authorized service center and let them check it out.

The process is as follows:
Backup the phone, Erase it, connect to iTunes for the unlock process, then your iProfile can be restored.
You can go ahead and get the SIM, bout you have to Erase the phone and connect to iTunes before it will be unlocked.
