  • HT1920 I need help removing my old email address

I have a new email address and need to remove the old one can you help me with that?

Assuming that this is for your iTunes account, then on your iPad you can tap on your id in Settings > iTunes & App Store and log into the account and you should be able to update your account's primary email address - or you can do it via the Store > View Account menu option on your computer's iTunes or via http://appleid.apple.com

  • I need help resetting my iCloud email address. i have erased all y data to solve a bug problem. I re-entered my email incorrectly; putting hitmail instead hotmail.

Please help. I had clitch on my iphone. i was advised to reset my phone to factory settings. I successfully erased all the data. when i came to restore the software and back up data on to my phone I accidentally put the wrong email address whilst setting up my iCloud account. Instead putting in hotmail i put hitmail. I've tried to edit the email address, but I'm unable to. I've tried to erase the data again but I'm prompted to turn of the 'find my iphone' app. i can't do this because it ask for apple I'd; which I can't access because I've entered the wrong email.
    Please help!!!!!!!!!!!!

Force it into recovery mode and restore it again, as explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1808.  Then set it up again using the correct address.

  • HT201320 need help setting up second email address on iphone 4

I have an Iphone 4 and need to set up a second email address for my business. I have to choose "other" as my emaill address is not through Yahoo, Aol, Gmail, etc. This is where I start having trouble. I have tried several ways to set things up with no luck. Just need someone who knows what they are doing.

Contact the email provider and obtain the correct settings.
Then setup the account using those settings.

  • HT5312 what is the 100% guaranteed way to reset the security questions? i forgot how the answers were typed specifically and i need help. there is no email address for them to send the answers to for some reason, and the "change payment method" idea didnt

somebody please know something. for some reason apple doesnt want problems to be settled over email and everything has to be fixed over the phone, but i hate calling people and would rather email. so is there a way or do i have to call them?

If you don't have a rescue email address (you won't be able to add one until you can answer your questions) then you will need to contact iTunes Support / Apple in your country to get the questions reset - which will be by phone as they need to confirm your id and that it's your account
Contacting Apple about account security : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5699
You can try contacting them via email via this link, but you might have to wait 24 to 48 hours for a reply, and they then might just tell to you to use the HT5699 link above : https://ssl.apple.com/emea/support/itunes/contact.html

  • HT3552 Hello, I need help with updating my billing address to match my new credit card information on my ITUNES account.

I keep getting a warning in red letters on my itunes account every time i try to update my personal billing info such as address or credit card info. I am currently attempting to update my address to match my credit card info and I keep getting this warning alert and cannot update my account.
    <Personal Information Edited by Host>

Man, that isn't cool.  Seems like a loop error of some sort.  No matter though, we can circumvent that by contacting iTunes directly through their Support.  You will want to use Express Lane first to contact iTunes Store Support via email or chat (if available).
You can also call AppleCare (1-800-MYAPPLE) to assist if Express Lane is either down or you do not get a response in 24-48 hours.  Make sure you inform them if you tried to use Express Lane and got no response or if it is down.  They have direct chat access if the need arises.

  • Need help setting up an email address in Mail

Hi everyone, thanks in advance for any help.
So here's the deal: my dad has an email account that he uses for his company setup in his outlook. A family friend of ours help him set it up. Now he wants to put that same account onto his iPhone. I have the incoming, outgoing server host names etc, and the iPhone shows the account as working, but it doesn't work. Is there any way to just directly copy/clone the setup he has in Outlook to his iPhone?

No, you will not be able to copy the settings.  Check the ports on numbers that you are connecting to.  Also make sure the server meets the requires for iPhone active sync.  http://www.apple.com/iphone/business/integration/

Updated my AppleID account info.  Under password security shows an email address to be used to receive email with new password settings.  I need to update that email address, how do I do that?  Thanks!

Thanks for the help Niel.  I couldn't change the rescue email address (an address that no longer exists and is therefore useless) until I could correctly answer the security questions.  After numerous guesses, finally got them right.  Was then presented with the option to change the rescue email address. Guess the only other option was to have Apple Support make the change or reset my account info.  Have made note of the correct answers so this won't happen again.   Thanks for the fast response!!

  • Update an email address in Address Book but Mail Keeps seeing old addresses

    Hi,
Trying to figure out why I update an email address in Address Book but when I go to email this person 2 of their old email addresses still show up in the list. I thought Mail accessed Address Book only? I can't find a update sync or anything...any help?
    Txs

I went to the window menu-previous recipients and deleted obsolete addresses. When I address an email to one of the people where I deleted an old address, it still comes up. I quit Mail and reopened it thinking that it needed to do that before it worked, but that didn't do it. When I open the previous recipients list, the email addresses that I deleted are gone so there's no way to delete them again. Is there another way to do this? The addresses have also been deleted from my address book, so it's not getting them from there.

  • Can anyone help me with changing email address for resetting password notification

Can anyone help me with changing email address for resetting password notification?

If you know the answers to your security questions, you can change your rescue email address as shown in step 6 in this article: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5312.
If you don't kow the answers to your security questions or need other assistance doing this, either contact Apple for assistance by going to https://expresslane.apple.com, then click More Products and Services>Apple ID>Other Apple ID Topics>Lost or forgotten Apple ID password, or contact the Apple account security team: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5699.

  • HT201541 I need help with updating my browser.

I need help with updating my browser.  Its telling me that Safari is outdated.

That is a very old version belonging to Snow Leopard. I take it you are not actually running Yosemite.
    Upgrading to Yosemite
You can upgrade to Yosemite from Lion or directly from Snow Leopard. Yosemite can be downloaded from the Mac App Store for FREE.
    Upgrading to Yosemite
To upgrade to Yosemite you must have Snow Leopard 10.6.8 or Lion installed. Download Yosemite from the App Store. Sign in using your Apple ID. Yosemite is free. The file is quite large, over 5 GBs, so allow some time to download. It would be preferable to use Ethernet because it is nearly four times faster than wireless.
        OS X Mavericks/Yosemite- System Requirements
Macs that can be upgraded to OS X Yosemite
             1. iMac (Mid 2007 or newer) - Model Identifier 7,1 or later
             2. MacBook (Late 2008 Aluminum, or Early 2009 or newer) - Model Identifier 5,1 or later
             3. MacBook Pro (Mid/Late 2007 or newer) - Model Identifier 3,1 or later
             4. MacBook Air (Late 2008 or newer) - Model Identifier 2,1 or later
             5. Mac mini (Early 2009 or newer) - Model Identifier 3,1 or later
             6. Mac Pro (Early 2008 or newer) - Model Identifier 3,1 or later
             7. Xserve (Early 2009) - Model Identifier 3,1 or later
To find the model identifier open System Profiler in the Utilities folder. It's displayed in the panel on the right.
         Are my applications compatible?
See App Compatibility Table - RoaringApps.
    Upgrading to Lion
If your computer does not meet the requirements to install Mavericks, it may still meet the requirements to install Lion.
You can purchase Lion at the Online Apple Store. The cost is $19.99 (as it was before) plus tax.  It's a download. You will get an email containing a redemption code that you then use at the Mac App Store to download Lion. Save a copy of that installer to your Downloads folder because the installer deletes itself at the end of the installation.
         Lion System Requirements
           1. Mac computer with an Intel Core 2 Duo, Core i3, Core i5, Core i7,
               or Xeon processor
           2. 2GB of memory
           3. OS X v10.6.6 or later (v10.6.8 recommended)
           4. 7GB of available space
           5. Some features require an Apple ID; terms apply.

I need to change my iCloud email address
The answers to this post seem to refer to an iphone.
My question is regarding setting up an icloud account and password an my new MacBookPro. Everytime I click iClouds in Settings I am asked for the password for <[email protected]>.....an email I did not setup.
    Please help.
An iCloud account is an iCloud account. It is not computer or iPad or iPhone specific.
    Go here -> https://iforgot.apple.com
Also, you can keep that account and simply set up an alias for email.

  • Apple password not working in iCloud since I updates my email address. Still lists my old email but doesn't accept old password. How do I access?

Apple password not working in iCloud since I updates my email address. Still lists my old email but doesn't accept old password. How do I access the cloud?

To change the iCloud ID ("email") you have to go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, provide the password for the old ID when prompted to turn off Find My iDevice, then sign back in with the ID you wish to use.  When you do this you may find that the password for your old ID isn't accepted.  If this should happen, and if your old ID is an earlier version of your current ID, you need to temporarily recreate your old ID by going to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID.  Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change.  Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address.  You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iDevice on your device, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then save any photo stream photos that you wish to keep to your camera roll.  When finished go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud).  Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was.  Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password.
