Need help trying to figure this out!!!! Angle gradient???

Hi,
I've been working in a project where i'm not sure if the terminology is correct. But as far as my research goes
it is refer as an angle gradient similar to the one in Photoshop. See image for idea:

I would like to use the same technique and create something for complex like this:
I already have made the path and but gradient doesn't seem to go around the paths.
Please help!!!!!!!!! Can someone provide me with a step by a step in how to create
a path like this?
I'm running CS4 Ai, Ps. Anything will help.

This thread is 3.5 years old but here is a solution to make angle gradients in Illustrator CS6 and CC, which now have the capability to apply gradients on strokes.
1. Make a circle and give it a stroke equal to half its size and align stroke to center.
Example: 100px circle with a 50px stroke.
2. Apply a linear gradient that has the same color on the starting and ending stops (if you want a seamless gradient) and apply gradient along stroke.
3. Apply Path > Effect > Offset Path half the amount of the stroke size and make it a negative value so the path offsets inward.
4. Done!

Need help trying to figure this problem out. Username validate on servlet.

Hello.
Here is my dilema. Almost everything works but the username check servlet.
I have form that gathers information that sends to a bean to validate the forms fields. If the fields check out ok it than forwards to Vusername servlet which checks the username in the database to make sure there is not one of the same username in there. If there is the servlet redirects to a retry page notifying the user that the username is already taken. If successfull the servlet forwards to another servlet which processes all the registration information into the database.
As i said everything works fine but the Vusername servlet. I dont think the problem is with my sql query which checks for an exsiting username with the one that was entered into the form.
I think the problem is with my if statements. I think they are currently checking if the sql query has ran. If true do this if false do that. Which is not right.
I need the if statments to check against the result of the sql query being true or false and than redirect depending on those variables.
Anyway any insight would be greatly appreciated.

I forgot to come back here and fix the topic to issue solved.
In the past hour sience i posted i was able to work through and fix the problem.
Was with my if statment... Just an error of typing to fast i suppose and not really going through my code very thouroughly.
Think how i had the code posted i was using the
if statment to check if the sql statement was true , than another if statment to check if was false..
Thing is, is that i already was checking if the username was in the database or not in the actual sql statment block by assinging weather the it was (true) or it was not (false) to the resultset variable.
So in my if statments higher up in the code i just needed to reformat them correctly, from if true do this, and if false do this... To if some variable is present do this, else do this.
And now it works great.
Just in case anyone was wondering.

Need help- trying to figure out if Spotify would work for my senior living community

We are a senior community that has activity programs running in like 7-10 areas in the building. Music is a big part of our day. CD's for all these areas is getting crazy. There has got to be a better way. We want to be able to pick music genre, a song even to hear and have playlists. What we have currently: We have some laptops and desktop computer using windows. We also have a few MP3 players, boomboxes and IPODS. We also have Wifi. But sometimes of course we have Wifi issues. We have access to usually a laptop or boombox. We could use the MP3 players/ipods. I like the idea of playlists that we share, pulling music that is alike. These are my quesitons or issues below: Things are my questions:1. Can we have 1 account be made for different appliances and be on spotify at the same time? Premium said 3 but you can't be both logged in under each account. Is this still true? Postings were old. 2. With even the Spotify family can you be on to the account at the same time? 3. What would be our best solution for this for accounts- would we have to set up different account for each device if we want to play at the same time? Any ideas - I just really need suggestions4. If we did our laptops, we would need speakers? Also for boomboxes- is this possible? I am assuming using like an MP3 player or IPOD. Spotify work through them? Is it certain type of MP3 players and IPODS. I believe a few of ours are older ones. 5. If we have tons of accounts, can I start all accounts on same computer? Would I set them up by each device we have?6. Can you run ipod/mp3 through large TV speakers? or laptop music through big screen tv speakers?7. For the music itself, can you pick what exact songs in playlist? Can you make lots of playlist per account? I saw 3,300 songs but can you name the playlist and stay forever? Delete your account in 1. "Settings > iCloud" + 2. "Settings > Messages > Send & Receive" + 3. "Settings > FaceTime", but still let them using your account for iTunes and app purchases in "Settings > iTunes & App Stores". I was flooded with offers of new services from $10. to $49. per month - and my audio/video for Facebook, NYT and NPR are "blocked" with the advice to "upgrade " my Adobe Flash Player - for which there does not seem to be any customer support. Need help trying to figure out unusual browser behavior

Every couple of days the browser on my balckberry 9300 refuses to connect to the internet. When I type in an adress the loading bar will appear at the bottom but then it will just stop and the browser will go back to the start page.Facebool and bbm still work properly. I can solve the problem via a battery pull but the problem returns again after 2 days or so

Itunes library, im going crazy trying to figure this out...please HELP!!!!!

ok so me and my sister both have ipods and one computer in the house, we listen to very diffrent music, she hates my music i hate hers...so a friend of mine told me that i can make a second library for itunes so that my sister can import her music and download it onto her ipod and i can do it with my music. I just dont want to have music on my ipod that i dont like its really annoying to have to use up that memory with music i dont listen to and having to scroll over all her music so get to mine...is there anyone out there that can help me please...i would really appreciate it if someone out there could give me some kind of solution to this itunes issue...thx!

Yep. So don't use it, use the "piano roll" view - you have a lot more control over the lenghts of your notes and the exact beginning. Enter the notes by holding down the Apple key and clicking and dragging (the onscreen keyboard can only be used in "record" mode). Use the same mode to modify imported midi tracks.
There are no solo strings in GB, but you should have a string ensemble and some basic choir.

1, you can't at the moment, though with iOS 5 in the Autumn, from http://www.apple.com/ios/ios5/features.html#photos :

2, by removing it from you synced from and re-syncing. Only photos taken with the iPad, copied to it via the camera connection kit, or saved from emails/websites etc can be deleted directly on the iPad (either via the trashcan icon in the top right corner if viewing the photo in full screen, or via the icon of the box with the arrow coming out of it in thumbnail view)
3, the location of the photos that you synced to the iPad should be listed on the iPad's Photos tab when connected to your computer's iTunes.
4, you can copy the photos from your iPad to your computer : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083 . You should also be able to delete them from the iPad as part of the transfer process to your computer, and it's then your choice whether to add them to your sync photo list so as to copy them back to the iPad. Copying them to your computer would allow you to organise them into folders and therefore be able to sync them back into separate albums.
5, I don't use Dropbox either. There are some third-party browser apps in the iTunes App Store that allow you to download pages so that you can view them when offline e.g. Atomic Web (the whole page is saved within Atomic Web, it doesn't place a photo into the Photos app)
6, deleting content should help. If you remove an app from your iPad then you also remove the content that it's got on the iPad - so if you then decide to reinstall it back onto the iPad then you will need to manually add back any content that you want in it. None of the Apple built-in apps (including Photos) can be removed from the iPad

It won't "load up" because you erased the drive, including the operating system. There is nothing there to load...

You need to re-install OS X. You don't have a bootable drive right now.

Download the demo of After Effects plus possibly the demos of some plug-ins (Sapphire, Delirium)... Tons of Lightning effects and even though it's meant for animation, nothing stops you from just rendering out a still frame for your banner. Other than that I don't see much in your sample and it could be reasonably well created even using basic Photoshop or Illustrator techniques... Really not sure what you are asking here. Sounds more like you are generalyl rather inexperienced in PS...

Brand new to this, trying to figure this out

Hello, first time posting here. Im trying to create a wordpress site and sort of learning as I go along. At the top of my home page I want to create a looping images banner as the header. similar to this site www.saminthecity.ca . What exactly is this called if I wanted to google information on how to create it? I know its an SWF file, but whats the exact term used for this type of banner? How difficult would it be to make this? Any information would be appreciated, just trying to get pointed in the right direction, Thanks.

I cannot say that there is any specific name for that design and it could be accomplished in a number of ways. It is pretty much just changing images. For a beginner the eaiest approach would probably be to do it using the timeline, where you quickly fade images in/out. Try it with something simple until you get the basic image transition working, and then you should be able to figure out how to divide it into different areas if you want a similar effect to the example you point to.
One approach could be to have the white soaces you see between images as overlying frames/dividers, wherein you have the full images on lower layers and the individual frame images above the larger ones and eithe r fade them in or out atop the laerger images, giving the effect that whatever is showing up new is fading in, even though the smaller images are the only ones that fade.

boyfriend adds music for me, well now he is out of town and I thought I'd try to do this on my own. I completely removed all of the music I had on the ipod unknowing and then somehow didn't download itunes properly. I absolutely have now clue as to what I'm doing and I can't deal with not having music to listen to when I run arrends or I'm on my way to work. Please help thank you

Not sure why your post ended up in the Apple Server section but here goes.
By default your music should be located in one of the following locations
which you can see by clicking on My Computer
Windows XP - C:\ - Documents & Settings - Username (your name or your login name) - My Music - iTunes
Windows Vista/7 - C:\ - Users - Username - My Music - iTunes
it's unlikely your music has been wiped and more likely that iTunes can't find the library file that tells it what music is in your collection and where it's located. This can happen if you renamed or moved one of the folders above to something/somewhere else. Another idea is to do a search and look for files in a format used by iTunes such as .mp3 or .aac which might show you where they are.

That would be the wireless number assigned by AT&T when the purchaser of the iPhone signed up as a customer with AT&T. If neither you nor your uncle ever activated the iPhone with AT&T, click the "non customer" button.
Note that jailbreaking often renders it impossible to get an iPhone officially unlocked, so don't be surprised if it fails. If it does, then you may have to buy a new iPhone, this time one that is officially unlocked.
