NEED HELP TWEAKING MY .mov - dunno if it can be done!

Okay. PLEASE HELP ME I own a commercial photography studio and we do lots of retouching. One of the things we like to do from time to time is create little movies in either iMovie or iPhoto that show each individual layer in the photoshop file, almost like a flipbook animation from beginning to end. We've done this for our laptops, iPads, and even discs we mail out. But now we want to put these on our website:
Here is what I need to be able to do:
1. Need to customize the exported file so that it has a specific pixel dimension - so one might be 740w X 320h, and another 640w X 780h. Each would vary, but would be tight to the image (no border)
2. Need to be able to have each slide/image play for less than 1 second! Preferably in the .2 ~ .5 range- sometimes, we add music and I like to adjust the speed so I can sync the beats to each slide rolling in.
3. Need to be able to add music
4. I WANT to be able to have NO TRANSITIONS between each image- for some reason, iPhoto keeps adding a dissolve between each and I can't seem to get rid of it- I uncheck the boxes, or even leave them checked with "none"
5. Need to be able to export as a .mov
Can you tell me what to use to create this? If I use iMovie, then I can't specify the dimensions- unless I'm missing something, I always end up with black bars horizontally or vertically, because my images aren't exact fits in their presets... Everything else would be perfect though, from accurate timing to music, etc. I wish I could use iMovie, but I can't seem to create exact dimensions... If I use iPhoto, then I can't change the slides to play less than 1 sec each, AND I can't get rid of the dissolves between each...
Anyone?

For that kind of close editing you need Final Cut Express.
You can specify the the dimensions, you can do sub-second editing and you can have simple cuts between shots with no transitions.

RESPONSES:
1)   When I set up my iMac, I did not transfer any data directly from my windows PC. I simply used the same iTunes login and account. I have access to all of the files via the "Purchased" section of the iTunes store. If I click "Download Previous Purchases" text, I can download ALL of the purchases I have ever made.
2)   I have the Apple TV 2, so good news, question answered. I thought maybe it was the Apple TV 1, but it is the Black model, so bam. Good response for you. Well the whole damned reply is an awesome response, just pointing out that one piece of awesome. I stated that it was an Apple TV 2, and yet you were still good enough to figure I could be mistaken, and provide me with knowleedge just incase.
QUESTIONS:
3)   So can my iMac not stream the data directly from itunes, without download? Apple TV can, but perhaps that is something among many things that maker it unique, and awesome.

I work in the computer support section for the Military. The only problem is we use Windows , lol. Well that and i've been gone for nearly 6 months on recover. I go back next month though I hope. But working in that field gives me the abilty to judge responses that run inside the same vein. Your response was so awesome that I half thought I might have written it myself.

Need Help with iPhone movies

I downloaded a movie through iTunes last night for use with the iPhone 3G and when Sync'd it does not allow it to play. Can anyone help? Do I need to download an App to convert or can I convert this directly through iTunes? I understand that the movie file has to be an MP4 which I believe already is when downloaded through iTunes directly? Please help.
Also, one more question.. Is there an App out there I could download to make use of a zoom in-out function for the built-in camera in the iPhone? How about recording videos?

Do you see the movie in your itunes libary? I believe of you highlight it and right click it will show a option to convert video for ipod (mp4). I have only tried this with my own videos and not anything from itunes.
If you set you sync options so you have manual control over file management, are you able to click and drag it on to the phone?

Need help with rented movies and Apple TV

I rented two movies from the iTunes Store from my laptop rather than my Apple TV. I cannot get the rented movies to show up on my Apple TV. I've tried to "move" the two movies from my laptop to Apple TV via the Apple TV tab in iTunes where it shows both movies under a "Rented Movies" section and gives me the option to "move" each one to my Apple TV, but when I click on each movie to move it to the Apple TV and then hit "Apply," nothing happens (at least as far as I can tell). Is there someplace special I need to find rented movies using my Apple TV remote? I clearly need help, please!

Need help with using Movie Clips

I know how to create a MovieClip object, add it to the main
stage and even add things to the movie clip but how do I create
frames within that movie clip that I can "gotoAndStop" or
"gotoAndPlay" with?

Ok, I know replying to my own post is odd on some forums, but
anyhow:
I've done some further testing and find that FlashObject
isn't the problem.
Looking at the AS code above, it is clear that the SWFs to be
loaded must be in the same folder as the HTML web-page.
However, my intent is that these small SWFs that are being
loaded in by the main SWF will be shared by many other movies,
therefore I'd like to stick them (the physical SWF files) closer to
the root of the site (e.g. SiteFoler->flash).
I see that my problem rears its ugly head when I try to
reference these movies in my main flash movie as follows:
First movie:

Any ideas as to why the physical location of the SWFs being
pulled in is causing this problem? I'd like to try to avoid copying
the SWFs to each place their being refrenced from as that could be
a major maintenance headace.

Click OK three times to close the dialog boxes.
Start the upgrade installation again.

Apparently my first response was off in left field. The DVD player has its own code. My recommendation is to change the code when it asks. It is possible that the disks that play correctly are region-free and the ones that don't have a region code. If this does not work, you still have four more changes available; you won't be stuck with the new code.

[OT] Need Help Tweaking Photos in Photoshop

Although I know Photoshop fairly well, I am a novice in this general area of tweaking photos ... and could use some help.
I have some inferior photos that I would like to do my best to fix up in Photoshop CS2. Many of them somehow turned out quite faded ... I am not sure why.
I have posted one of these photos as an example on the Web. I would be interested in finding out the best quick way to tweak these pictures and make them more presentable. Feel free to just take a look or, if you would like, download the photo into Photoshop and let me know the best way to proceed.

- I have fooled with :
Image - adjustments - levels ... and moved the left and right arrows to the edge of the data areas and that seems to help ... however I'm not sure what to do with the Middle arrow - etc...
- Also - I fooled around with the exposure adjustment and also the shadow/highlight adjustment ... however from my limited knowledge - they all sort of seem to do the same thing - and I'm not sure which method or combination of techniques is best.
Q: Can someone help give me some suggestions as to how to proceed?

I find that using the Levels control (Command-L) is a little more intuitive than the Curves. I would seem to have problems with dragging the right direction but that's my issue. The Levels has an auto button that will get you very close to what mebs produced. You can then move the sliders to fine tune it.
Both ways will clean up the photo. It's just which way you're more comfortable with. Good luck.

TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.

Need help making ball move and bounce off of sides of JPanel

I'm currently working on a program that creates a ball of random color. I'm trying to make the ball move around the JPanel it is contained in and if it hits a wall it should bounce off of it. I have been able to draw the ball and make it fill with a random color. However, I cannot get it to move around and bounce off the walls. Below is the code for the class that creates the ball. Should I possible be using multithreads? As part of the project requirements I will need to utilizes threads and include a runnable. However, I wanted to get it working with one first and than add to it as the final product needs to include new balls being added with each mouse click. Any help would be appreciated.

Create a bounding box using the size of the panel. Each time you move the ball, check that it's still inside the box. If it isn't, then change it's direction. You know where the ball is, (x, y), so just compare those values to the boundary values.

Need help sharing Home Movies in movies not movies in photo

I edited a video in final cut pro and now imported it through itunes into my iphone so i can airdrop to clients with their iphones. I can not share any videos in HOME MOVIES in the video section. I can only share videos from the photo section from the camera. and i had no sussess importing the video into the photo section. I have been beating my head trying to find a easy way to share my videos to other iphones. Please help. John

This is something you would need to check with the Sony instructions. I would have expected you to need some software provided by them to enable this (though usually they don't provide Mac-compatible software or equipment).
