how do i fix my iphone 5 stuck in recovery mode and wont let me restore it just says unknown error 1603 has occured

Follow the steps listed above for Error 1604. Also, discard the .ipsw file, open iTunes and attempt to download the update again. See the steps under Advanced Steps > Rename, move, or delete the iOS software file (.ipsw) below for file locations. If you do not want to remove the IPSW in the original user, try restoring in a new administrator user. If the issue remains, Eliminate third-party security software conflicts.

This error is often related to USB timing. Try changing USB ports, using a different dock connector to USB cable, and other available USB troubleshooting steps (troubleshooting USB connections. If you are using a dock, bypass it and connect directly to the white Apple USB dock connector cable. If the issue persists on a known-good computer, the device may need service.
If the issue is not resolved by USB isolation troubleshooting, and another computer is not available, try these steps to resolve the issue:
Connect the device to iTunes, confirm that the device is in Recovery Mode. If it's not in Recovery Mode, put it into Recovery Mode.
Restore and wait for the error.
When prompted, click OK.
Close and reopen iTunes while the device remains connected.
The device should now be recognized in Recovery Mode again.
Try to restore again.
If the steps above do not resolve the issue, try restoring using a known-good USB cable, computer, and network connection. -
I updated my iPhone 3G today and after the update it said on iTunes that my sim was not compatible and my iPhone screen went on to slide for emergency/connect to itunes. Ive tried restoring it but it hasnt worked. Please help!
Unless the iPhone was purchased as unlocked very recently directly from an Apple Store (the only place in the US where unlocked iPhones are sold, and then only since June), which from the symptoms I doubt is the case, then it was locked to AT&T and jailbroken to make it work with an Irish cell carrier. Updating the operating system has now relocked the iPhone back to AT&T.
Only the cell carrier can institute an official unlock, one which will hold across updates of the operating system, and AT&T will not do so for any reason. All we can advise here is that you return the iPhone to your uncle and purchase an iPhone there in Ireland.

I have an iPhone 4 and it will not turn on. I plug in and says connect to iTunes. I connect it and it won't restore. What can I do? Please help

These errors typically occur when security software interferes with the restore and update process. FollowTroubleshooting security software issues to resolve this issue. In rare cases, these errors may be a hardware issue. If the errors persist on another computer, the device may need service.
Also, check your hosts file to verify that it's not blocking iTunes from communicating with the update server. See iTunes: Advanced iTunes Store troubleshooting—follow steps under the heading Blocked by configuration (Mac OS X / Windows) > Rebuild network information > Mac OS X > The hosts file may also be blocking the iTunes Store. If you have software used to perform unauthorized modifications to the iOS device, uninstall this software prior to editing the hosts file to prevent that software from automatically modifying the hosts file again on restart. -
Iphone 6 stuck in recovery mode won't update or restore in itunes, HELP!
My Iphone 6 16gb started crashing on a blue or red screen every 3-5 minutes (for two days). Then it told me iOS 8.1.1 update was available, which I thought might stop the constant crashing. I started the update but it crashed and went into recovery mode. Now it can not be updated via itunes nor can it be restored.
I have tried the usual tinyumbrella, wondershare, osdatarecovery etc to recover my data and restore but nothing has worked.
The phone is stuck on the plug into itunes screen.
Has anyone got any suggestions?
ThanksI have the exact same problem, error 56.
I get the iTunes restore screen but the restore fails 90% of the way through.
I tried an over the air update last night that caused it.
My phone often gets stuck in extended reboot loops and shows either red or blue screen on the reboot loop.
The phone is un-restoreable now and I can't get a genius appointment for a week. I paid nearly £800 and it's unusable, disappointed is not the word. -
How do I unlock an iphone that has a message stating iphone disabled. Is it possible to have my photos still saved on it. Please help. Thanks.
As for your photos, hopefully you can restore from a backup ...
Follow the instructions here > iOS: Forgotten passcode or device disabled after entering wrong passcode -
I made the mistake of changing my email, however because it was an email that wasn't activated anymore I thought it would be in my best interest to do so. However with a new email came a new password ... and it seems that my phone can't accept the fact that I changed my email, and won't let me change it - so my password is Always wrong, when I know it's not. How do I change my email? I am about the restore my phone to factory settings... but I'm hoping that is a last resort... please help!
much appreciated!Try clearing Safari's cache : Settings > Safari > Clear Cache (and Clear History)
If that doesn't work then try closing Safari completely and then re-open it : from the home screen (i.e. not with Safari 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Safari app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
A third option is a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot. -
turned of randomly.
have tried-
pressing the home and lock button at the same time
plugging it into itunes and restoring(still does not work, keeps saying error 28)
any other suggestions
i have not dropped it in the past
i just got this phone

My itunes doesn't connect to the internet. it shows error -3212. please help
please help me. my itunes doesnt connect to the itunes store via internet. i tried all remedies incldng proxy setting, windows firewall etc.
iTunes: Advanced iTunes Store troubleshooting - http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3297 > Specific Conditions and Alert Messages: (Mac OS X / Windows) - includes list of iTunes error codes
I see you're running Windows 98. Are you using a version of iTunes that connects to the store? You need a relatively new version. -
I've already tried putting it into Disk Mode but nothing happens. Tried restarting computer and a new USB cord but still not working!
PLEASE HELP!Already tried another USB port, still nothing.
I don't have another PC to check, I only have one which is the one not working with my iPod.
It appears under my Computer, just not under iTunes. Plus, the iPod classic troubleshooting assistant doesn't work because I can't restore since it can't come up onto my iTunes! Even my iPod says "Use iTunes to Restore" once in a while, but I plug it in & I'm not able to restore it since it won't come up under iTunes.
Please help -

I was updating my iphone 3gs. I lost internet connection when my went to restart (I forgot I was using hotspot). Now when I connect my phone to finish, the only option it gives me is to restore. I don't want to do this. I have disconnected and restarted phone and macbook pro. Software is up to date. What can I do?
If the only option is giving is to restore or has a connect to itunes logo - then that is the only option you have. You may need to put it in forced recovery mode in order to restore. http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1808?viewlocale=en_US
Once restored you can restore from a backup or sign into icloud in order to recover any contacts, etc that you had on the phone previously. If you are still missing contacts, which is usually one of the most important things on a phone than make sure you have added any and all email accounts you previously had on the phone. -

my iphone is stuck in a reboot loop i cant get it to stop itunes dose not detect
my iphone so i can restore it i don't know what to do plz helpI am experiencing the same problem, and i have attempted NO jailbreak or other iphone hacked software. My screen will slowly fade to white, and then go into an endless reboot cycle, or just glow bright white til the battery dies. I have tried restoring with itunes via recovery, and i receive error (2003).
(EDIT)
I successfully restored my iphone, and it worked GREAT! until i removed it from the cradle, and my screen jumped straight to apple logo, descending into the bottomless pit of reboot cycles.

Use Interference Robustness option disabling on restarts
