Need Help w Collobos Fingerprint through a WRT150N Router

I would very much appreciate any expert advise I can get regarding using the Collobos Fingerprint software through my WRT150N router. I'm using Windows XP SP3 and immediatly after installing (which went extreamy well) it immediatly found and listed all of my home network printers. All of the wired and wireless windows based systems in my house can see and print to the printers without any problem. However, getting ANY of my apple devices (iPad, iPhone etc ) to print will not even show them as listed on the device when I select print on the devices. Collobos says that I have to make sure that Ports UDP 5353 doe Bonjour and TCP 6361 for FingerPrint need to be open both ways for it to work (http://collobos.uservoice.com/knowledgebase/articles/66995-required-ports).
I have no problem getting into the router settings and have set them up as stated above in Port Range Triggering and enabled. Also made sure Filter Multicast was not check marked in Security. Unfortunatly, that doesn't seem to work as I had hoped.
If anyone has this software up and printing through a LInksys router, I sure wouold appreciate knowing how you did it! Or any other ideas you experts may have.

I want to thank the kind people that replied and spent a moment to try and help. I thought I might get more from this large forum full of so many experts.
I have been troubleshooting the problem with the very limited help files provided by the Program Collobos Fingerprint. The most important factor they failed to mention was that it is necessary to have a wired connection to the router. As soon as I connected the computer, (old laptop) that had their software installed, printing began immediately since I had already put in the settings they recommended.
FYI, the works very well even though the prints are large. Even if a photo is lets say 3"x5", it will print full page. I can print anything that the idevice application will prompt printing for. Have printed from our iPod, iPads, iPhone. Anyone else I have let into my home network which have iDevices can print also. My printers are not wifi nor Airprint capable. They are connected via an old HP Print Direct Parallel box with ethernet to the router. Never thought anything would work, but now am able to print everything.

Need help in uninstalling driver through inf

I need help in removing files, deleting service from INF when the device is getting uninstalled through the device manager.
In my INF file i have the following section to add service and copy files during installation.

not create an entry, which represents the driver package, in Programs and Features in

Seriously need help but cant get through via phone

I am seriously needing help spend almost all week chatting with verizon via my verizon however nobody could come up with an answer for my problem it seems that I have been locked out of using the online payment option and the lady says it does not show that on her end I need this addressed asap but the lines have been down for days according to the store I just spoke with. is there someone in finance or billing that could call me? Take each of the following steps that you haven't already tried. If the problem isn't solved, ask for further instructions.

Need help connecting to ISP through DSL/router

I need help configuring my intel solaris8 box to get to the internet. I have dsl going into a linksys router. my windows machine have no problem using the DNS servers from pacbell. i also have DNS setup on my novell server, but the solaris8 box still can't resolve anything. I can ping everyone on my segement, I can connect to my novell web server netscape navigator but can't resolve it's name, i have to use it's ip address. I can remote logon. I lloked for a resolv.conf file but can't find one, help!!!!

Edit /etc/resolv.conf (it may not exist) with the following lines:
domain your.domain.name
nameserver your.primary.dns.ip
nameserver your.secondary.dns.ip
search your.domain.suffix
The last line is optional, but please do substitute those values for the ones that you use.
As far as a default route goes, just edit /etc/defaultrouter (may not exist) and put the ip of your default gw on a single line.

HT4528 Need help getting 4G LTE through Verizon.

I use verizon as my carrier, they tell me the towers are OK and I get Veizon LTE on my ipad upper left- corner with full bars, however, have a very difficult time getting internet searches . Need help : Reading from DAQ through TCP/IP ?!!

I have two machines running labview connected to a network. Basically,
I want to read data from a temperature sensor through a DAQ card
from one machine, and be able to plot the data in a chart in the
other machine. I'm trying to use TCP/IP feature to do that but it's not
working.
There is a VI in the tcp.lib "simple data client.vi " and
"simple data server.vi" that does the same thing except that
the data are of type double generated from a sine function and
a random number generator. So i tried to do the same but since
the data read from the DAQ has a thick brown line (not sure what
type) the task was not easy. In the server part i tried to broadcast
3 things through (tcp write.vi): The type of the data, the l
ength of the
string, and the data itself. On the client side i read (tcp read.vi)
these things and plot the data. But i'm not getting any output on the chart.
I had to use (Type Cast), (flatten to string) and (unfatten from string)
in order to get the right wiring. Both VIs run but there is no output
on the chart.
I know it's hard to explain in words, but if anyone is interested i can
give more detai or send the vis to him to look at them. They seem very simple and
straight forward but i don't know why they don't work.

Try running the "Remote Device Access Server" (RDA) on hte machine that has the DAQ card in it. You'll find it in NI-DAQ folder under National Instruments in your Start Menu. (guessing you're running Windows here?)
With this running, you can start MAX on any machine on the network and access and configure the DAQ cards in the remote machine and program an applicaiton just as if the DAQ cards were local. You'll need to know either the remote machines IP address or network name.
I've used it quite a bit and have never had a problem. The Help inside MAX gives good details on how to set it up and use it.

Need help for DB backup through OEM 11g grid

I need to know how to schedule the hot backup of whole DB using OEM 11g grid.
In our system there is a backup running for DB (10gr2). It is not scheduled through jobs.
I am not able to find this scheduled db backup information from OEM.
Can anyone guide me how to check the current backup schedules and backup script ?
Is there any good document for this ?

- Configuring backup
- Apply SAP license
Above are just a few of them to name. There could be many more as per customer landscape.

Rookie needs help recording DJ set through M-audio Firewire 410

Ok.... ive been reading through the forums and I still can't find help...
Im running GB 3 that came with my Macbook I bought about 4 months ago.
I am a DJ and I trying to record a DJ set/demo.
What I use to DJ is Pioneer cdj-800 x2 and a Pioneer DJM400 using Rane Serato Scratch through my Mac.
I recently bought an M-Audio Firewire 410.
I installed all necessary drivers from m-audio's website (i bought it on ebay so it did not come with the install cd).
I connect the Maudio into the Mac as instructed and set all my inputs/outputs in prefs to the m audio.
The record out of my mixer is via rca so i bought an rca to 1/4" cable. The rca going into my mixer and the 1/4" is going into the first "mic/inst" on the interface.
I created a real instrument track on a new project in GB and set the input to channel 1 (mono).
I play a track..... no sound. nothing at all. i tried the inputs in the back of the firwire and played with the gains. still nothing. i am getting a little frustrated here as you can imagine.
I would really appreciate if someone could walk me through this or at least point me in the right direction.

Perhaps you may need to reinstall the driver again from the M-audio website. The newest drivers don't work well but if you're running the newest OSX 10.4.10 then you have no choice but to use the newest drivers. When installing the new driver, do not have the 410 hooked up to the computer. After it is installed, shut down the computer. Hook up the 410, then turn the computer on, make sure teh 410 is power button is on as well. Once you're computer is up and running, open up the m-audio mixer application that comes with the driver. on the top right-hand corner is a reset button. Click that and a there will be a popup asking if you want to reset, say reset. Next open up system preferences and check the sound. Select the 410 for input and output. You have to also do this again in garagebands prefs. Test your audio out by playing a song through itunes or something. Hope it works.

Plasma TV HP PL4260N - Need help! TV scrolling through menus and changing input by itself.

Please help! My TV is possessed!! It changes input and the menus pop up and it continuously scrolls through all the options repeatedly. Turning it off stops it but it happens again within minutes. I called tech support and was told they do not support this product and to use the internet tech support, but that redirects me to the phone number and they still do not help. I just want my TV to behave!

So I have a similar TV, 42" plasma, and on startup I was getting the diagnostic screen which was indicative of buttons on the side keypad being depressed. I was able to pull the cable from the side keypad out of the connector and the problem went away. Now the TV works fine but I must do everything from the remote as I disabled the TV keypad.
These posts read as if there a similar type problem, depressed keys causing screens and/or menus to change.
Please remember these TVs are no longer supported and parts are not available.

Need help in Understanding synchronization through code

I read someone that synchronization is suppose to allow only one thread to access a synchronized method or block of code. But then I wrote some code just to test it out.

Vector's individual methods are synchronized, but that only extends to the execution of those methods. There's no way for that syncing to know that you're doing stuff in a for loop. If you want to complete the for loop without anything else affecting that Vector, then you need a sync block around the body of the loop, and anything else that acceses the Vector must also sync on the same object. The Vector itself is a good candidate for the lock here.

I need help ASAP, I can't access my router

I have a WGR614v7 . When I try to access it through 192.168.1.1, all I get is white screen that says "(192.168.1.2) is managing this device". When I try to put that into my browser, all it gives me is a "page cannot be displayed" error. Please help me ASAP, I really need to get in there and foward some ports.

Check the IP address on the computer connected to the router also checked for default gate way address. and use the default gatewar address to access the UI

Need help setting up my d-link wireless router to my imac

I need some help trying to set up my D-Link WBR 2310 wireless router to my iMac. I currently have Bell Sympatico high speed.
The reason I want to set up the wireless router is because my girlfriend works from home sometimes with her office computer downstairs and needs a wireless connection (she has a PC). I tried to call D-Link, but they're useless.
Anyways, any help would be greatly appreciated. It would be great to know what settings to change and as much step by step info as possible. I realize it's probably pretty simple to set up, but I'm fairly new to Macs and also to wireless.

Connect the D-Link to the iMac by Ethernet.
Open Safari (or Firefox)
Navigate to http://192.168.1.1
Enter your password (default user is Admin and password "admin" - change it!)
Find the Wireless Security section and change the SSID to your own name i.e. "home network" .
Set the Encryption setting to "WPA" and enter a password of your choice. This is the encryption key and is different to the router's admin password.
Configure the WAN part of the router (which will vary depending on your ISP).
Configure the DHCP to serve clients (should be a simple on/off).
Disconnect the iMac
Go to the iMac and turn on Airport on (on the menu bar).
When the iMac finds your SSID select it and enter the encryption password.
Check to allow Keychain to store that detail.

Just bought new time capsule- need help setting up WiFi network with another router

Here ismy situation.
I had a wireless network setup up at home using a Belkin wifi router.
I have 2 macBooks (1 pro, 1 air) and 2 iphones that connect wirelessly and a desktop PC that is hard wired to the ethernet port. In addition, I have a Verizon wireless network extender plugged in by ethernet. All of the hard-wired gear is in our 3rd floor attic office (and the wireless signal was strong throughout the house).
The Belkin wifi router was plugged into a wall ethernet jack that is in turn wired into a Linksys router in the basement (along with multiple other ethernet ports througout the house) and is hardwired to the Cable modem next to it. All of the hard-wired ethernet stuff (including the router in the basement) was there when we bought the house, and I have no clue in the tangle of wires how to sort them out (but don't really think I need to)
I just purchased a TimeCapsule to do wireless backups of my 2 macbooks, and tried to set it up alongside the existing wireless modem.
Needless to say, this did not work well. I called AppleCare, and was told that the TimeCapsule needs to be the "1st" wireless adapter, so I went into the basement, and connected the time capsule directly to the cable modem, and then out to the basement router. The Belkin router still needs to be in the attic to supply the PC and the Verizon adapter (so it is near a window for GPS signal).
If I try to name the WiFi network the same SSID on both the TC and the belkin router (to have dual signal strenth coverage) the whole thing gets messed up and the TC cannot be "found" by the aiprort Utility software.
What I have done now is that I have 2 side-by-side wireless networks with 2 unique names (actually 3, because I enabled the 5Ghz signal on the TC), but our wireless devices do not "switch" automatically from one SSID to another stronger signal SSID as we move through the house
Here's the question: How do I name them the same so that the devices will switch effortlessly to the stongest signal? I understand it involves switching the "channels" but don't know how to do it right now. Currently, everything works, so I don't want to mess it up tinkering. Another caveat- there are several other wireless networks from neighbors houses that I can "see". I jsut downloaded a program called iStumbler that shows the channels, but not sure what to do with that info.
Any advice would be appreciated.

OK.. sounds like a mess.. or at least messy and the previous people should have left a log book with all the IP address info in it.. you have far too many routers.. but from here it is impossible to tell how they are configured. Most are probably just setup as AP.
Naming rule for wireless.. Same SSID same security different channel.
SSID ie wireless name to work on the PC side should have no spaces and no special characters. TC name should also follow that rule. So the devices need to all set with fixed channels.
Don't worry too much about iStumbler and what is outside your house.. there isn't enough channels at 2.4ghz anyway. And you are going to need to use them all. There are only three non-overlapping channels. 1, 6, 11 so set each device to one of those channels. The TC should be as close as you can to where you normally use the MacBooks.. and turn on the 5ghz. You will have to leave it to automatic name so the Macbook can also roam across from 2.4 to 5ghz. But if you care to use a different name and force it onto 5ghz the speed is much better as long as you are in the same room.
Roaming is great in theory.. often in practice it just doesn't work.. you need to step in and turn off wireless and then turn it back on.. you can quickly see which router it is connecting to by hold down the option key when you click the airport fan in the top menu area.. and look at bssid.. you will have to figure out which number MAC address relates to which router.
Also do not be surprised if Lion gives you issues. It seems to often drop out and lose connection to the TC as a backup device even if internet is still working.
