Need help w CS6 installation

I have been trying to download CS6 thru Creative Cloud. Downloads, then tells me to close CS5 - which is closed. But the download doesn't go any further and keeps requesting closing CS5. What am I doing wrong? Hwlp! Help!

I need help uninstalling CS6 - have tried all the usual with no joy

I need to uninstall Cs6 for a reinstall as it is misbehaving.
But when I try to uninstall the message keeps appearing that Uninstall FAiled and to use the cleanr - done it, quit all programmes - none running, not even virus software etc, restart - done it numerous times
contact customer services for assistance
I am doing it now!!!

install over your current installation to reinstall your uninstaller.
you can then uninstall, clean (Use the CC Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems | CC, CS3-CS6) and do a proper installation.

Need help on oracle installation

I have an issue on Oracle 10g /ids/ application server installation on windows 2003 server(R2) x64 enterprise edition.
After installation , I can't see oracle entries in registry(HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ORACLE).

Need help on the Installation of my system.

I need some help on the installation of my desktop. my desktop's code was compaq SR5214X, the system of it use to be window vista, but a week before today I delete the vista system and install the window Xp system. later on i found out I can't find the installation of the graphic card, sound card from the compaq website. so please help me out.

Try posting in the hardware section of the forum. I say this because many others who need xp drivers post there and get a reply pretty quick.
Ill try looking into this when i get home from work to see what I can find. I know there's drivers available.

I am not able to understand anything from the error message which you have pasted. But I have successfully deployed the primavera web access for company.
I have written down the steps properly using some images also for my future reference in a M.S. Word document.

I have installed Java PDK 6.9 instead of 6.2.
At the post-installation steps I need to:

Yes I did, in my case I've installed PDK SP 9 over SP2 which is prohibited. If this is your case as well do the following:
1) From the Undeployment tab of the SDM select the com.sap.pct.pdk..
components.
2) Using the Archive remover tool which can be accessed from
System Administration > Support > Portal Runtime > Administration
Console > Archive Remover --> Remove the portal applications with prefixcom.sap.pct.pdk...
3) Navigate to Content Administration > Portal content > Content
Provided by SAP > Platform Add-Ons > Developer Content
and remove all the contents below this folder.
4) Restart the server
After this you can deploy the SP9 business package using the SDM.

I need help with my installation

So I get the Disk for OS X 10.4. And installed it and everything has worked fine up to after the restart. Now it is asking for my serial number and yet when i enter it, it was it has expired or the server time is incorrect, yet i can't do anything about. And i can't use my computer anymore because it always loads up to this screen. Please anyone help me. i don't wanna go out and buy another Cd

We will need more information to offer much help. What Mac do you have? What kind of "Disk for OS X 10.4" do you have? (Is it a black retail DVD or something else?)
What kind of installation did you do (Archive & Install, Erase & Install, Upgrade, etc.)?
Is an app asking for your serial number & if so, which one? (Look at the name to the right of the blue Apple menu.) Same question for server time.
As many details as you can provide about what you see after a restart will help, like can you log into an account, etc.

The board set up fine, but I can’t figure out how to install my drives. The MSI directions are the worse I’ve ever seen, or should I say non-existent. They don’t even describe the bios entries… I am familiar with the bios, but don’t know all the settings for the board. I set the time and date and had to rearrange my drive placement on the board to have my 2 DVD drives show up on the secondary IDE Channel instead of the primary IDE. The Western Digital 200MB7200 ATA133 is on the primary master IDE. I’m old fashioned so I still use FDISK to erase the old OS and partition the drive… I couldn’t see my SATA drive in FDISK even though I could see it in the bios. Now I want my Western Digital 500GB 7200RPM 16MB SATA II HARD DRIVE to be the system drive and the Western Digital 200MB7200 ATA133 to be a slave drive. My previous boards had raid but I just used them as additional slave drives.
My goals: I want to have redundancy for my personal audio/video and my work. I will use the 2 Seagate 7200.11 ST3500320AS 500GB SATA drives for that.
I also want 2 additional drives not purchased yet for my other data storage needs and for games
My questions are:
Can I use the SATA drive as the system drive if a drive is connected to the primary IDE?
How do I set up Raid on this board? I actually want to use its capabilities this time.
Does this board present any special problems with dual booting XP sp2 and Vista 64bit.
If I put another set of Corsair XMS2 TWIN2X4096-6400C5 in anticipation of installing Vista 64bit will this cause a problem other than windows XP not seeing the additional memory.
Is there additional documentation for this board somewhere?
Please help…I have been working on this thing for 4 days straight. My last build took 2 hours not including software installation. Hope I stated everything you need to know. Thanks in advance

Advice no. 1 will be not to have everything connected at once. Have the chosen SATA and one of the DVD:s connected and install Windows. (Windows can only boot from bootable devices. It "jumps" all un-bootable.) Once you have a successful boot and happy with it, remove other things from the boot-sequence.

I am working on the step that requires me to put in Admin User, Admin Password, PeopleSoft Symbolic ID, PeopleSoft Access ID, PeopleSoft Access Password, PeopleSoft Connect ID, PeopleSoft Connect Password, Microsoft SQL server Data file name & Microsoft SQL server Log file name.
When i pressed the Next button, this came out:
Setup fails to connect to the SQL Server in the system. the error message is: noerror. Please make sure a SQL Server is running in the system. The minimum supported version is SQL Server 2008. Please go to previous screen to correct the problems or 'Cancel' to exit.

First of all are your running SQL Server 2008?
Second if you are, then you should provide the correct syntax for sql server wich is (if you installed sql server according the installation manual ) [machinename]\SQL2008

CS4 user...need help on CS6 vs. Illustrator CC

I have CS4 but constantly run into the issue of a file having been "created in a newer version of Illustrator." If I purchase Illustrator CC, will I be able to open these files????? Or do I have to have CS6???

That is true, casewalk.
There may be some funny things happening because of changes between versions, especially for live Type (editable text).
You should be aware that CC is only available as a subscription; CS6 can be bought just as the earlier versions (perpetual licence).

I just installed APEX 3.0 over Oracle 10g on windows. Do I need to install http server and configure the port etc or can I just enable the embedded plsql gateway by running apex_epg_config11? any help is appreciated.

Please tell us your first name. It's easier that way.
The embedded pl/sql gateway will be officially supported only with the next – 11g – database version, so for now you should install and configure the HTTP server.
Having said that, if you can't wait for the next db version, and you think that the embeded pl/sql gateway is the preferred solution for you, the following might help you - http://wiki.shellprompt.net/bin/view/Apex/XmlDbHttpServer .

Need help with new installation

Hi, I'm having trouble getting past the first step installing my AE with an existing Linksys wireless router.
I was able to connect via ethernet cable to Linksys box and got a steady green light.
I was able to see AE as availble, connected, wireless network via Windows network connections.
I was able to see AE as an availble base station in Aiport Assistant, but NOT able to get past the first step. Once selected - comes back and says not an available base station...and also NOT able to see AE via the Airport Admin utility...tried to rescan, but nothing appears in the list to configure. Any ideas?
Sorry if this is basic, but I'm a newbie.

your Linksys router will provide an IP address like 192.168.x.x to your Airport Express BS when connected using a wire. Airport Admin and Airport Assistant will only scan for 10.0.x.x IP address (AE default setting is 10.0.0.1), that is why you can not set it up using AAU / assistant.
-> unplug your airport BS, reset it, configure it using AAU (Airport Admin Utility):
*internet tab: connect using "ethernet", configure "using DHCP"
Apply settings and plug ethernet cable back in to the airport express BS. Should be better
more info:
- a MAC access control can prevent your BS to connect properly, more info in your linksys router manual. check your linksys router settings (plug it in to your computer and connect to 192.168.1.1 to access your router settings)
- double check that "distribute IP address" is NOT ticked in the network tab of AAU
- can be usefull to change network name in network tab of AAU to the name of your existing linksys network

Need help with WRT54G installation

I just replaced a BEFSR41 with a WRT54G v.8, and came across an installation problem. I had no problem manually installing the BEFSR41 by following the Start Fast instruction. Since the WRT54G didn't come with a Start Fast document, I used the CD instead. After connecting the router to the PC (winXP), and the modem to the router, I kept getting a message about not being able to connect to the Internet. But in fact I was connected, and could access the Net fine. Is there something need fixing? Perhaps another factory reset? A few other questions:
- When I tried to print the settings, I was asked to install a printer. But I already have three printers installed. How can I print or save the settings?
- After exiting setup, browsing 192.168.1.1 showed a blank page. ZoneAlarm was disabled, and all other pages worked fine. What is going on?
- My firmware version is 8.00.2. Should I upgrade it.
Once I get these resolved, I have some very interesting speed test data to share.

Update. After factory reset and firmware upgrade, I followed the manual installation suggested in the archive here:

Now things seem a lot better. The firmware rev is now 8.00.8, and I can access the 192.168.1.1 page. Please let me knwo what else I should check. Still have to shut down ZoneAlarm to browse with Firefox.
