i need help with my all in one printer it will print sometime and sometime it won't but it won't print anything off the internet and it won't print off word pad either and when it does print everything come out backwards tell me what is wrong and what i need too do to get it too print the right way from left to right and not right to left please help this is a problem and i have a lot of stuff too print out before friday off the internet much appreciated. i have a question about my hp deskjet F4240, i have been trying too print off the internet and word pad but it seem as everything is coming out backwards or not printing at all my computer is saying that my dpi is 1200 which i don't know what that means but i need to know what i can do too get my printer too work also i have never been able too scan anything on it and i would like too know how do i get it too scan also if u can help me out i would appreciate it so much and thank you for being here too help with my problem. Bear with me please. I read tons of articles on this but somehow as a newbie to MAC (girlfriends sick daughter), I am missing something. 10.5.2
Currently, she can print directly if we plug in the HP Deskjet printer directly via USB to the MACBook. No problem.
When we first got the MACBOOK I tried setting up the MACBOOK wirelessly to recognize the workgroup where the printer was attached via USB to the Windows XP PC. However it printed out garbage since I did not know there was a difference between XP printing and MAC (Gutenberg/gimp printing/drivers).
Now I know there is a difference.
But in reading various instructions, I no longer can find how to connect the MAC to the Windows workgroup. Note we do have a printer set up currently as USB-HP Deskjet on the Macbook (not sure I need to delete it yet).
I went to System Preferences on MACBOOK and clicked on printers, more printers. In the drop down box was CANON, APPLETALK, IP HP printing and Firewire. There was no WINDOWS selection as I saw in other online web instructions.
So not sure how to proceed to find a way to:
1. Connect to Windows workgroup (click on what exactly), step by step please!!
2. Add correct HP Deskjet 5490 printer (perhaps there is one with Gutenberg or perhaps I need Gutenprint-really not sure what I am talking about)

Any chance of posting the Protocol you used to connect to your printer with your laptop? I'm have the exact same problem printing from my MB. Same error message "..is busy".

define the two variables in the global definition as
g_cnt type sy-tabix.
g_flg type c .
->in the initialization tab pass the internal table that is the main window.
g_cnt = lines( the table name which you are using in the main
window before the footer).
Now you have the total no of lines in the g_cnt.
in the loop which is in main window create the program line pass the output parameter as g_flg.
in the condions tab give the condition as g_cnt = sy-tabix.
in the source code of that program lines
g_flg = 'X'.
now for the footer where you are displaing the text coutinued on next page for in codition tab give the condition as g_flg = space.

Need Help with Print a Report

Hi,
I am building a database application in Java and now i need to print some reports ....
I need to get the data from the database .. do some calculations , and then print in on paper.
I checked online and got some tools like JasperReports, jfreereports, ReportCat, etc. so I was wondering if somebody can suggest whats the best.
In my report I will have to print more than one table on one page.
for example:
if I have 4 Invoices. then i will have 4 tables .. one for each invoice.. and each table will contain
the elements for that Invoice.If all can't fit on one page then it needs to go next page.
I would like to do all this stuff in Java without using any reporting tool ... but I am not really sure how this can be
done .. can someone give me an idea ... as per how this can be done .. will really appriciate all the help.

I have configured the printer successfully. But the problem is when i give the print in PDF format it coming in some symbols and for single page it is printing nearly 10 pages. When i gave print in HTML format then it is printing in Html tags.

Usually the BEX is slower than the web applications.BEX needs a lot of resources on the client computer.
Are you using any macors / VB code to do some processing before display the query output in BEX ?

Im developing a Swing desktop application. it contains a kind of application form (JLabels, JTextFields, JCheckBox,..). I need to add a print application option. Both the labels and the user input should be printed. I have a problem with two things:
1. including the user input in the priniting
2. adjusting the margins

Need help adding printer

When I installed Tiger I chose to not install any printers, now I need to add an HP 895cse. The driver on HP's site is not working so I need to install the one from the tiger CD.
Can someone tell me exactly how to do this?

Need help for printing/exporting in the right format

i'm layouting a magazine for my graduation class. And I almost finished it, but I've got a problem with printing it like I want it to be printed. I use the newest Trial Version of Adobe InDesign. The format of the magazine is A4, but when I export it as PDF (printing is the same) two pages (each A5) are exported on one horizontal A4 page. I want to have each page on one A4. Can somebody help me and say what I have to do, to get it work in my way?

Exporting to PDF shouldn't resize the page. Does the exported PDF look the way you want it to?
Here's all you need to know to export the file:
File > Adobe PDF Presets > (pick a format - if you're printing from a desktop printer High Quality Print is a good choice)
It might give you a warning about Transparency Blend Space which you can change under Edit > Transparency Blend Space
Make sure spreads is not checked.
If the problem is happening from Acrobat, check all of the settings in your print dialogue.

Need help with Printer Setup conventions

I can't get my Brother printer to print from one computer--but it prints okay from the other computer on my network. I need to know the conventions for the Printer Setup Utility.
There's a checkbox by every printer on the list. What does it mean when the checkbox is grayed out?
Some printer names appear in bold. What does that mean?

As I say, the printer is displayed in the print dialog box but the checkbox is grayed out. I'm assuming that when you say "...it can't find/see them now," you mean the print dialogue can't see them (the drivers). Your last sentence confuses me. You say, "Do you maybe have Printer Sharing enabled & they aren't actually directly connected? If so you have to reboot after turning it off." A little confusion about your antecedents here. What isn't actually connected? The printer? So I have to reboot after turning it off, "it" I suppose is the printer, is that right? I will try that. So turn printer off, reboot, turn printer on. Right?
I will describe my problem. l thought that if I understood why the checkbox was grayed out I might see what my problem was. If you want me to start another topic I can do that.
Problem: I have a network with 2 computers and the Brother
multifunction fax/printer. I'm using an Apple airport hub. The printer
and one computer (Mac tower) are connected to the airport base via
ethernet. The 2nd computer (Apple laptop) is on the wireless network.
Until recently i could print from both computers. Now I can't print from
the tower. But I can still print from the laptop.
When I try to print from the tower I get an error message that says, "Cannot print from current printer." I have rebooted, reinstalled printer drivers, checked cables, deleted printer from printer list and re-added printer all to no avail. But as I say, I can still print from the laptop which is using Airport. So the printer prints, the hub connects to the printer okay (ethernet) and I know the tower connects to the hub (I can ping the printer okay from the tower.)
I am conversing to Brother support via email and their first suggestions I have already tried. Perhaps there's some problem in the network, but I can't figure it out. Worse yet, now when I go to the Network preferences I get an error message which says, "Your network settings have been changed by another application." THIS ERROR MESSAGE WON'T GO AWAY! I can click 'okay' but it reappears. I have to force quit the System Preferences to get out. If you can help with any of these problems I surely appreciate it.

Need Help with Printer Please

I am a new MAC user. So please, if you have a solution for me, speak slowly. (LOL)
I have the new G5. Bought the Epson printer to go with it. It's the CX4200.
I loaded the software for it. But can't get it to print. It seems the computer won't or can't find it in their list of printers.
Ok, so I go to a Word Doc., for example. And select print. The window says that I need to select a printer. I hit the arrow down button and there's my printer listed. So I choose that, but still won't print. Seems I have to go down to another line in the same box and find the printer in this long list. There are many Epsons listed but not mine, which is the CX4200.
And darn-it, tech support on the phone is closed at 6pm!!!??? I sure hope to see a reply soon. I really need to print something tonight.

PS: This process asked me to choose an OS for my G5. I have no idea what my OS is. All's I know is I have a G5. Gosh, I feel soooo dumb!

What have you done so far?
I suggest you connect it via a usb cable first. Once you get the printer working, move to wifi. You will have to use an existing printer usb cable or purchase a cable. Be sure to get the correct cable. Ask for help.
The warrenty indicates there is phone support. Give HP a call.

As far the code looks horrible. This kind of logic belongs in a fitler rather than a backing bean. You use empty strings instead of nulls. You stores passwords plain and unhashed in DB. You compares the password in Java instead of in DB. You stores password in a cookie. Your query is unsafe for SQL injections. You're reloading the driver class everytime when you acquire the connection. You're leaking DB connections. The application will crash sooner or later when the DB run out of connections.
Is that all what you need to know?

Need help: trouble printing a doc into a pdf

I can not take a word docx or any other format and convert it into a pdf format. When I click on printer, then pdf, hit ok - it gives me :
invalid "adobe pdf" printer properties: do not change spooler settings. Please selete "print directly to the printer" option (from adobe pdf printer properties "advanced" tab).
then it says windows cannot print due to a problem with the current printer setup
I have tried setting the 'print directly to printer' and it does nothing but along pause... no print
It used to work before now it stopped working and I don't know what happened
I am not sure where the problem is, I do not have a lot of knowledge when it comes to computers.
I do have an adobe reader 9.3 and an adobe acrobate 4.0
I am also using windows vista

There are forums I read that say there is a convert on the word dox program. Problem is that I am not always wanting to convert a word doc into a pdf. There are other programs I want to convert as well like .indd for example, which does not have a pdf coverter option in its program
I tried a live chat ... and they said they could not help me because they can only help version 10
