Need help with a Help problem

Hi,
I've been using RoboHelp for about seven years now and this
is the first time I've come up with this problem.
The application for which I'm building the Help file contains
a What's New menu item in the Help menu. I have a page called
What's New but when the menu item is clicked, the Help file opens
the default page.
This is a help file I've taken over from someone who's
retired now. The previous versions of the application work just
fine. I've checked with the developer and find that there's nothing
different from what was there earlier.
We also threw an older help file into the application's
executables folder and it worked.
Has anyone encountered this kind of a problem? Please help.

Hi Vittal,
A lot depends on how your developer is calling the help file,
but it seems like your new help file just isn't connected to that
menu item. Do the other calls work OK? Any other menu items, F1
help, etc? What I would do is to use RH's BugHunter or Help
Workshop to check the message from the application. It should
return something like HH_HELP_CONTEXT and a map number or
HH_DISPLAY_TOPIC and a file name.
Make sure the map number is linked to your topic. In the
project.hh file (open it with notepad), there should be a
line #define IDNAME mapnumber. Then search for that IDNAME in your
project.ali file. It should be linked to your topic filename
IDNAME=
Topicfilename.htm. That "Topicfilename" should have no
spaces (for example, "Whats New.htm" wouldn't work).

 are present in 100% of all human fat tissue in the
 United States, as PS products are found to lose weight after in contact with hot or fatty/acidic foods and liquids, causing migration of the styrene into the food or fluid, ending up in the human body. NEED HELP: Problem with Canvas Size in Crystal design/report.

Hello,
I am having some trouble with one of my reports, the canvas size is so much bigger than my design/report, which is causing it to preview really small. I have gone into the document properties and tried to change those settings, I have also used the tools to try to make the canvas size smaller, it seems as thought nothing is really working. When I use those tools it cuts off part of my report and also adds huge scroll bars into my design... Does anyone have any insight on this? It would be a great help.

Are you using Crystal Reports Designer or BusinessObjects designer ( what ever it was called ) Crysstal Reports 5 was released in the summer of 1997 and definitely did not support a flash file.
Need more info and details on the versions you are using and info on the Clients portal, Is it Businessobjects Enterprise 5.1?

Need Help: Problem with JSP setProperty to Bean

Hi,
This is my first time posting to this forum so I am not completely aware how Duke dollars work but if anybody can help me I will be happy to give some... whats normal for solving a problem?? 10??
Anyway... the problem...
I have a simple JSP with a simple HTML <form> that has a text field and a Submit button. Submit takes the user to the next JSP page however the setter method for property 'user' is never called. I can verify this through an attached debugger.
I am using Tomcat 5.5, and I never had a problem like this in previous versions of Tomcat.
I have tried changing the scope of the bean to request however nothing changed. I excluded all my business logic and tested this one more time just to make sure I wasn't inadvertadely screwing with something however this still does not work.
I am sure I am missing something small but for the life of me I can't figure out what.

I not only realized my mistake, I also accidentally posted this in the wrong forum. I meant to post in the JSP Forum.
For reference, what I did wrong was I placed my setProperty tag in index.jsp rather than placing it in multi.jsp (the file specified in the form action).
Everything works now.

Need Help: Problem with iTunes 8 and artwork.....

This is a weird issue. I'm trying to add album artwork for imported albums manually in itunes that it can't find or has incorrect. Every time I try (no matter which method) the artwork either doesn't take, iTunes freezes, or the album in question skips the first track until I delete the entire album and re-import. Any suggestions? I'm running 10.5.6. Any help would greatly appreciated

Hope I can help. I had a similar problem. I could not update any information about the tracks album etc. I had checked permissions everything... finally I decided to go to ID3Tags and selected none and then the edits took. Strange don't know why, but in my case it has worked a number of times.

Need help - problems with embedding bold fonts (Flash CS3, AS3)

So I'm tearing my hair out over this one project where I'm
trying to embed Arial in a project so that it can be used by two
different dynamic text fields. Nothing I seems to do works. If I
try embedding the font using the Properties window and set the text
fields to bold, the text doesn't appear. If I debold the two text
fields, the text DOES appear - but of course, without the bold. If
I try to embed the font in the library, link it, and use two
different TextFormat objects to format the text fields, the text
shows up - but it isn't bold, even though I set the TextFormat.bold
property to true.
So what's going on here? How can I fix this?

In the Library, choose 'New Font'. Select 'Arial Bold' from
the 'Font' drop-down (don't just select Arial and click the bold
checkbox). Select the newly added from from the Library,
right-click and choose 'Linkage' from the context menu, and click
'Export for ActionScript'. The Linkage field should read eg 'Arial
Bold'.
If you want to apply Arial Bold to an entire text field,
select the field and, in the Font drop-down in the Property
Inspector, look for 'Arial Bold*' (with an asterisk): this is the
embedded version of Arial Bold that you just created.
So, you're using a specific Bold version of the font, not
merely setting a font to bold.

Looks like you hav a jar loading issue.
Look in the container directory for "log4j-*.jar" to see if there is use of multiple log4j instances

NEED HELP Problem PLEASE READ!!!!

*All I did was download this album because I wanna go for a run and wanted to quick throw these songs on I downloaded well they came in M4A files so I tried puting them on my ipod 2nd gen nano using Copy Trans Manger thats my ipod manager. They didn't show up so I downloaded a converter and converted all them to mp3 files now I put them on my Manager which is on my ipod.. and they acted as if they were M4A files and didn't show up.. But i converted them to regular mp3 files they shouldv'e shown up what is the problem did it not let me replace the mp3 files with the m4a already on it could that be the problem? Help please iwanna go for a run and I want these mp3's to show up on my ipod... I forgot to say it would of said do you want to replace these files so Idk if thats what happened or not*

When the page is rendered in the browser only the first 5 panelLabelAndMessage elements are rendered and the page is broken after that. There is no problem in the code behind, in whatever order you place the pLAM elements the first five rows are rendered and the page is broken with the following log

If i remove the "panelFormLayout" from the jsff and try, all the elements are appearing but without the alignment. So clearly the problem is in 'panelFormLayout'.
Is there anything wrong in the jspx violationg the layout rules. Can someone help me in resolving this issue?

Yes this is a Webcenter page.
I don't understand what is that plain ADF. Because in all the pages we build, we use these kind of tags. I have used the same panelFormLayout in the jspx and it work's fine for any number of rows. Only when used inside the region the problem occured.

I hv three type of file, which is original file, processed file and edited file. Then, my goal is change all the three type of filename after i edit and save the document...
My problem is sometime it can be changed, but sometime it just change either one or two type of filename only.....

Need help-problem importing excel files

I am about to begin work on an annual report that will involve importing charts and tables from an Excel file. I am able to drag and drop the pie charts and bar graphs into Indesign. When I try to do the same with the tables, they don't come across. When I import the excel file using the "place" command in Indesign , the files comes through as text only. I need the chart design and formatting. Any ideas?

If this is going to press then you absolutely should bring those charts into Illustrator. At the very least you want to make sure to convert the RGB black text to real black.
As for the tables, when you place the Excel file, make sure that show options is selected in the place dialog box. Then choose the proper formatting for the table. If you already formatted everything in Excel, choose Formatted Table. I think you'll be fairly pleased.

Need hlep with hard driver problem.

I just run into some problem, and hope to get some help.
Model: Satellite A105-s4348
OS: Windows Media
now, here is what i did.
I used the recover Disk to install OS, and divide the hard driver to 50G and 100G.
As when i finished the installtion, i couldn't find the D driver.
Then i used the XP pro sp2 disk i have tried to format D driver.
when i restart the computer, i went in to Windows Medai to format D driver.
after that, I still got two OS to choose everytime turn on my computer.
now, how can i complete get rid off the XP pro and make my D driver clean?
any help will be great appreciate.

After reading all these posts, one by one did not resolve my problem until I got the very end. Regardless of what step would resolve your problem, these are the steps I would recomment to everyone for a what seems to be a safe and fool-proof upgrade to iTunes 10.5.
1. Stand alone upgrade to the latest Quicktime version
2. Go to control panel and "change" then select repair to the following applications in the order specified by the post on Oct 27. (Notice I skipped Quicktime because it had been upgrade manually,and Bonjour did not have a "repair" option)
iTunes; Apple Software Update: Mobile Device Support; Apple Applications Support
Some of these applications may not appear if they do not apply to your configuration (no iPhone, or no iPad, or other apple devices).
Once all updated, I did not need to restart nor launch any applications, I simply went straight into the 10.5 upgrade, and where it normally got stuck, this time the installation continued for a while longer until it completed successfully.

I really need help. I try to contact support to no avail. There simply is no option on the site, You are always referred to a further topic which has notihing to do with my problem. I bougnt a full master pack CS6 which I had installed on a mac for one year. Then, I decided to change it to another computer, so I sisintalled it according to instructions. In the meantime I got a free trial of creative cloud on that computer, but I gave up and decided to reinstall my cd-roms. However, everytime I try to use acrobat for instance it says that my trial period ran out! I disinstalled my cloud products, I am using my registered full master series items, they have nothing whatsoever to do with my creative cloud FREE subscription. If I try to cancel my free membership, it is to no avail, there simply is no such possiblity. I want to use the software I paid dearly for, not the cloud items I disinstalled and which do not interest me. How can I contact Adobe to fix it? It was no fault of mine, I did all I was supposed to, disintalling items before installing the right ones, but the system must have some error i am not responsible for.

open an app and click help>activate.
if you try to open an app and see a 'your trial has expired" window, click license this software and enter your serial number.
if you can't do either, run the cleaner and make sure cc is cleaned from your computer, Use the CC Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems | CC, CS3-CS6
