Need help with a "simple" problem :)

Hello everyone!!
I would be very glad if anyone could help me! I created a
test with AW and it works very well. My problem is that in the
".txt" file that is created (appendextfile), the "firsttrycorrect"
responses keep adding themselves among the exercices. How can I do
to set the count to zero, so that each exercise has is own number
of correct responses? Do I have to restart the file everytime??!

Just to be clear: You are using the FirstTryCorrect variable,
and you want
the FirstTryCorrect variable to reset when you go to the next
exercise? Try
Initialize(FirstTryCorrect) at the beginning of the next
exercise.

Need help with a simple problem with monitors

I used a power g4 and I want to use two monitors for final cut. I have the apple monitor 4:3 and I got a new 22inch 16:9 monitor. I want to use them both for final cut. I want to use 4:3 for bins. If you are using Windows Vista go to All Programs/Palm and click on the folder and select Hot Sync Manager and then try to sync with the USB cable. If you are using the Windows XP go to Start/Programs/Palm/Hot Sync Manager and then try to sync. If you don’t have the palm folder at all on your PC you have to install it. Need help with a simple process with FTP Adapter and File Adapter

I am trying out a simple BPEL process that gets a file in opaque mode from a FTP server using a FTP adapter and writes it to the local file system using a File Adapter. However, the file written is always empty (zero bytes). I then tried out the FTPDebatching sample using the same FTP server JNDI name and this work fine surprisingly. I also verified by looking at the FTP server logs that my process actually does hit the FTP server and seems to list the files based on the filtering condition - but it does not issue any GET or RETR commands to actually get the files. I am suspecting that the problem could be in the Receive, Assign or Invoke activities, but I am not able identify what it is.
I can provide additional info such as the contents of my bpel and wsdl files if needed.
Would appreciate if someone can help me with this at the earliest.

If you couldn't tell whether it is AS2 or AS3, it is doubtful you can turn it from AS2 into AS3, at least not until you learn both languages. There is no tool made that does it for you.

The problem is when I test it on my computer it works but when I upload it to my phone it freezes when I click Sets Anteriores button.
Please help me with this problem I dont know what else to do.

My first guess is you're simply generating an error. You'll always want to load this on your device in quick debugging over USB so you can see any errors you're generating.
Outside that, if you plan on accessing anything inside the SWF you should be loading the SWF into the correct context. Relevant sample code:

If you're doing this on iOS you'll need to stripped SWFs if you plan on using any coding (ABC) inside the files. You mentioned iOS so I won't get into that here, but just incase, here's info on stripping external SWFs:

Need help with a simple program (should be simple anyway)

I need help with a browser problem

I am was given a new iMac G3 (from 2001) which was really never used.I have not yet had any serious problems with it, but really could use some help with a browser problem.
I have 4 different web browsers that needs the macro media flash player update. The browsers I use are internet explorer, iCab, Netscape, and the original Mozilla Firefox.
It would be of great appreciation for the readers of this post to answer my question.

As Tom has suggested, plugins need to be installed in the Plug-Ins folder for the browser.
Typically each browser will have its own Plug-Ins folder, usually located in the same folder containing the browser itself. In order for each of several browsers to access the same plugins, the plugins must be replicated and placed in each of the Plug-Ins folders for each of the browsers. The easy way to do that is to hold down the Option key while dragging a plugin to the new location - a copy (not an alias) of the plugin will be generated at the location it is dragged to.
Most plugins will display a Netscape icon regardless of where they are located - this is normal.
It is not unusual for the installer for a plugin to default its install to the Plug-Ins folder for Internet Explorer. So be it. Just replicate the new plugin to the other Plug-Ins folders as needed.
Note that some plugin installs will involve more than one item. For those, be sure to replicate all items for it. Using labels can help identify what is new, what has been most recently added, in a Plug-Ins folder.

First design and implement a class called PairOfDice, composed of two six-sided Die objects. Using the PairOfDice class, design and implement a class to play a game called Pig. In this game, the user competes against the computer. On each turn, the current player rolls a pair of dice and accumulates points. The goal is to reach 100 points before your opponent does. If, on any turn, the player rolls a 1, all points accumulated for that round are forfeited and control of the dice moves to the other player. If the player rolls two 1s in one turn, the player loses all points accumulated thus far in the game and loses control of the dice. The player may voluntarily turn over the dice after each roll. Therefore the player must decide to either roll again (be a pig) and risk losing points, or relinquish control of the dice, possibly allowing the other player to win. Implement the computer player such that it always relinquishes the dice after accumulating 20 or more points in any given round.
I realize this is a long code, so it would be greatly appreciated to anyone who writes this one for me, or can at least give me any parts of it. I honestly have no clue how to do this because our professor is a dumbass and just expects us to know how to do this...he doesn't teach us this stuff...don't ask. Nasty comments? It's not a matter of not liking you, it's a matter of responding to the
"I'ts everyone else's fault but mine" attitude of your post.
If you are genuine, the program is very easy to write, so, your Professor is correct when he said you should
be able to do it. I'm still very much in the beginner category at java, and it took me only 20 mins to write
(+5 mins to design it on paper). 2 classes in one file < 100 lines. Most of the regulars here would do it in half the time / half the lines.
All of the clues are in the description, break them down into their various if / else conditions. Write it down on paper.
Have a go. Try to achieve something. Post what you've tried, no-one will laugh at you, and you will be
pleasanty surprised at the level of help you will get when you've "obviously" made some effort.
Again, have a go. If you don't like problem-solving, then you don't like programming. So, you gotta ask
yourself - "what am I doin' here?"

You will need to store each digit of the social insurance number in a field of its own. To validate the entry you will:
1. Multiply the 2nd, 4th, 6th and 8th digit by 2.
2. If the product of any of the four multiplications result in a value greater than 9, add the two resulting digits together to yield a single-digit response. For example 6 * 2 = 12, so you would add the 1 and the 2 to get a result of 3.
3. Add these four calculated values together, along with the 1st, 3rd, 5th, and 7th digits of the original number.

MMS; didnt get any operator settings for MMS, and can't find any way of creating an MMS. Can someone enlighten me?
Can this thing not be used in portrait mode other than for the phone dial pad?
When connecting to e.g. the wireless network they have in the pub, it wants me to push a button on the router, or type a pin into the router - why can't we just have the old fashioned way of "ask the pub staff what the key is, they tell me, and i type it in" - how do I enter the wpa key as a word without this pin/button pushing nonsense?
How can I type my SMS etc with a 3x3 key pad (like a phone) - I really don't like qwerty on phones.. I'm after a portrait mode, can-be-operated-with-just-a-thumb, 3x3 button layout with predictive text (i.e. like every phone in the history of the world) - how do I do that?
I can't find any form of Switch app (to copy contacts and messages off my old device) - how do we do this painlessly?
How do I make the phone forget all the badly spelled words the previous owner seems to have entered?
Can the thing that organises the main screen snap the icons to a larger grid or must I mess around nudging with the stylus till they line up? (They tend to jump out of line just as I remove the stylus from the screen)

No, use fMMS but be aware it's very beta, only allows picture sending with very rudimentary settings and you must change APN manually

No - a WONTFIX bug. Configure the connection manually in settings instead and you can type the key

hi everyone.
I'm having problems with a piece of code, and i'd be extremely greatful if somebody could give me a hand with it. I'm totally new to java and have to make a program for my university degree, but i'm finding it extremely difficult, mainly due to my total lack of apptitude for this type of thing. I know this is easy stuff, but the books I have are no use so any help would be greatly appreciated.
I have to write a program which uses two class files. I want one with the code to produce a simple button, and one to invoke it several times at different locations. I decided to write the program as one class file at first, and thought i'd be able to split it up at later. The program works fine when it is one class file. My book said that to split the two classes up, all i needed to do was change the second class to public, although this seems to not work at all. I'm at my wits end on this, and if anyone could correct my code I'd be eternally greatful.

My compiler generates errors relating to Button, but i can't do anything to please it.

I found that there are 5 error in your code.
1. You should import the "java.awt" package to the PhoneButton.java
2. The PhoneButton is not a kind of Component. You cannot not add it to the Phone class
3. the myButton = new PhoneButton(20, 20) does not provide enough parameters to create PhoneButton
4. You cannot add a Button to a PhoneButton. Becaue the PhoneButton is not a kind of Container

Still Need Help with this String Problem

basically, i need to create a program where I input 5 words and then the program outputs the number of unique words and the words themselves. for example, if i input the word hello 5 times, then the output is 1 unique word and the word "hello". i have been agonizing over this dumb problem for days, i know how to do it using hashmap, but this is an introductory course and we cannot use more complex java functions, does ANYONE know how to do this just using arrays, strings, for loops, if clauses, etc. really basic java stuff. i want the code to be able to do what the following program does:

you have to compare string 0 to strings 1-4, then
string 1 with strings 2-4, then string 2 with strings
3 and 4 then string 3 with string 4....right???Here's a way to do it:

Need help with applet related problems

First of all hello to everyone. I'm new to this forum. I usually can solve my problems google-ing around, but this time I just ran out of ideas.
I'm trying to develop a jni applet that can run native code for performance. I used netbeans so far and the applet works great when run from within the ide. At some point a managed to make the applet run inside firefox and iexplore, however somehow i screwed something up and now i can't make it run anymore. I don't really know what i did but i think it may be related to these lines in the console since everything up until awt works fine in the applet:

I am sorry for bold, i came here to ask for help. I used bold to differentiate output from my questions since i couldn't find tags.
I already validated jnlp using JaNeLA and got only optimization suggestions.
As I said in first post, this works for a friend of mine, so it's possible a local issue with my java or something ...
Also i reinstalled jre/jdk 7.0, then uninstalled and installed latest jre/jdk 6.
Hope I didn't leave a bad impression, i just want help.

Need help with a simple Rename/Join Domain/Install SCCM Client Task Sequence

Good morning everyone,
I need to create a very simple task sequence that will run an .exe that we have created that renames the computer based on a prefix-serialnumber...then restarts, adds it to our domain, restarts, and then installs the SCCM client.
1) run rename program
2) join to domain
3) install sccm client
Can someone help me with the steps that will be required for this?

**note, these will not be formatted/have an OS installation ran on it with this task sequence. The situation is that we are receiving 400+ custom configured laptops, and we're going to have to rename/join/install sccm on each...trying to simplify

Narcoticoo : Which boot image am i supposed to be using to insure that it boots into Standard Windows, NOT WinPE? I have a standard x86 package / boot image i've been using. If it boots up with this, it goes into WinPE (correct me if I'm wrong,
for this seems to be what happens each time it boots off the boot image...it does not go into windows standard/full)
When I go into properties of the one i'm using, and take the check off of "Use a boot image", where it will not boot to WinPE, it will not even show up in my list of available task sequences for
1) when I PXE boot to try the task sequence, or
2) when I try to make stand-alone media for this task sequence as you have suggested
When I run the standalone media, the only log files I find are the following with errors:
