Need help with activating 3gs

I have just recieved a new 3gs and i do not know how to upgrade my iphone without it being set up yet. it is still in activation mode but i cannot finish this process because i apparently need to upgrade the phone for it to sync with my computer....? HELP

You need a sim card to activate the phone. If it doesn't have a sim card you cannot activate the phone.

If you wish to call from Skype to your familiy mobile number in Chile then you need either mobile subscription or Skype Credit and pay rate/min + connection fee on each call.
If you purchase Chile 120 or 60 minutes to mobile and use up all those minutes then subscription is cheaper because you don't pay connection fee for every call.
If your familiy wishes to call from Skype to your mobile in US then they only Unlimited US subscription.
Regarding Online Number, it is pretty much the same as regular landline number, but you can answer it in Skype. For example you are logged in Skype and someone wishes to call you but they don't have Skype then they can call this Online Number from landline/mobile and you can pick it up from Skype account.

Need help with new 3GS mail problems

I have a new 3GS v.4.1 about a week now, just getting around to setting up the mail. I synced through Itunes, checked the setting's. I can send email but not recieve. Can anyone help?

Under the Info tab for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes, deselect Sync Mail Accounts followed by selecting Apply. Follow this by deleting and manually recreating the account on your iPhone. If this is successful, do not reselect Sync Mail Accounts under the Info tab for your iPhone sync preferences or you will be right back where you started.

Need help with actively replacing text in SVG

I am new to Dreamweaver, Illustrator and SVG. Also, I do have a firm understanding of HTML but limited knowledge of Javascript and other languages. I am trying to create a website where the user is able to type in a form field (or something to that extent) and have the text in a displayed SVG be updated with the typed text. I've done extensive searching on the subject and come up with nothing that seems to work. Nor do I seem to be able to make it work.
I found a dead tutorial on the Adobe website which might help illustrate what I am trying to achieve:

Select the text. Copy to Clipboard. Open TextEdit. Paste. Resize its window appropriately. Choose Print off its File menu. Done.

Hey. I'm in a dead line ... and I'm in trouble: I programmed

The problem is very simple: if I publish de flash-menu for
ACCESS LOCAL FILES ONLY I resolve the problem, but i lost the GET
variables than I'm using for trace the option selected in the menu
to mark it in the next page. In the other hand, if i publish for
ACCESS NETWORK ONLY simply the menu doesn´t work in a local
machine in any of the navigators.

I've got a bog-standard 3Gs 16GB for nearly a year now. I've enjoyed using it every single day. Until yesterday, that is. Until update 4.3.1 came along. What happened, you might ask. Well, my battery drains in 7 hours flat. And I mean, completely. Without using the phone, that is! If putting the phone in airplane mode and not touching it, it lasts the same 7 hours: before hitting the sack last night, it was charged to the brim. This morning it was on a mere 12%. Having used firmware version 4.3 since it came out without any problems, this is insane, nuts. My iPhone has been rendered "completely" useless (using it just for phone calls, gives a battery life a barely 4 hours!).
I know there's no official way to revert to a previous firmware version. So here's my appeal: Help me please, please, please.

Yes, if you also said you thought the "Lord" followed the forum, as you repeatedly (and incorrectly) said about Apple following it. Need help with iphone 3gs

once i fully charge & then unplug my iphone after about 10 minutes of use it just turns off! so i plug it back in & once it turns back on it still shows that the battery has charge to it. so i'm wondering if anyone has had similar problems & can maybe give me some advice? i'm 23 & behind the times apparently! i'm not too experienced with these things as my best friend just gave this one to me as a gift. i'm hoping it just needs a new battery. any ideas or siggestions? thanks for your time!!

You don't need the serial number to activate it. After 7 days, you need to create a profile to extend and continue the rest of the days.

If the iPhone was hacked and unlocked via unofficial means, it has become locked again. Insert original SIM in the phone to activate with iTunes.

You don't need to install the older version, you only need the serial number from your original purchase. If you don't have them to hand, did you register? If so, they should be in your Adobe account. If not you really need to contact Adobe, though it isn't clear they will be able to do anything without some proof of purchase etc.

I really need help with re-activating my little sisters iPad, i already set it up a couple of months ago when i bought it,but unfortunately she disabled it by forgetting her password. i followed the necessary steps to reset it again, when the iPad came back on and we put the apple id and password it kept refusing it, i even reset the password, which sent the verification the email account, i followed the steps to reset, But then i noticed the message at the top of the activate screen with the message “this iPad is currently linked to the following apple ID _______ with a a few hidden dashes, but at the end of the email it says co.uk, but the problem is the email ends with .com. I have no idea how this happened, and its driving me insane and my little sister only used her iPad for a month before this happened. for some reason the the iPad email address ends in co.uk when the actual email ends with .com
