Need help with Click Frequently Asked Questions in iProcurement
Hi Guys,
In iProcurement purchasing homepage, we have 1. Click Frequently Asked Questions and 2. Review Purchasing policies on the right side as links.
When we click Frequently Asked Questions, its taking me to a page where standard FAQ is there. Now my requirement is, If "Frequently Asked Questions" link is clicked, then a page should open and in that i should put two links , one link will open the standard FAQ and the other link will open the Companys FAQ.
Can we achieve this thru AK Developer. When that link is clicked, what is happening in the background. Actually I checked in Applications-->Messages, by typing "ICX_POR_PRMPT_HOME_FAQ". In the message, I got this "Check <a href=javascript:FAQ()>Frequently Asked Questions</a>". This is what getting displayed on the homepage as a link. All this information, i got it from PORHOME.xml page in which a function calling that FAQ() is also written which is calling another function called "callHelp('faq')".
But I couldnt see the callHelp() where it is called. Is there any other way to implement this. Help Appreciated.
Thanks
Hi,
If I could understand your requirement correctly then here is what you can do.
1. Create a complete new HTML page with the two new links and place in HTML directory.
2. Enable personalizations
3. Using personalization change the "Destination URI" to the newly created page.
Hope this helps.

Need help with QT Pro Editing Question re: lost footage
Stumped on this issue. Had captured miniDV footage (7 minutes in length and 1.09 GB in size. I wanted to extract 12 seconds of this to send out as a clip. Steps i took were:
1) Cut the footage on either end and was left with 12 seconds i needed.
2) THen Saved File as and gave it another name.
3) Now my original file is still 1.09 GB (which it should be) but only plays the 12 seconds that i kept
If i open that file, and click save as, option to save as self contained shows that clip should be 43.6 MB which is what my renamed and altered file is.
Question, any chance i have somehow "Hidden" the content so the QT player won't play it but it's still in the file somewhere. How can i extract?
Naturally, i don't have the original master miniDV footage. any help appreciated.
Dual 2.7 PowerMac G5 Mac OS X (10.4.5) iMac G4, iBook G4, Multiple Lacie Drives1) Cut the footage on either end and was left with 12 seconds i needed.
Normal method is to set in/out points and simply "trip to selection."
Question, any chance i have somehow "Hidden" the content so the QT player won't play it but it's still in the file somewhere. How can i extract?
If the "Play selection Only" option is set, then only the 12 second segment will play but the progress bar will display the entire file to include segments before and after the "selected/playing" portion. If the progress bar is only as wide as the playing segment, then you have inadvertantly saved the "trimmed" data to the original file and the data is probably lost. Not sure if this works llike a "secure HDD delete" (which overwrites the unwanted data) or a simple "HDD delete" which only marks the data as not existing but actually leaves it it tact. If the latter, then there may be some sort of "movie undeleter" utility out there, but I personally know of none. In either case, the file size listed cannot be relied upon as it file container is much like a partially filled milk bottle now -- the bottle size remains unchanged but the bottle is no longer filled. -
Need help with Java programming installation question
Sorry for my lack of knowledge about Java programming, but:....
A while back I thought I had updated my Java Runtime Environment programming. But I now apparently have two programs installed, perhaps through my not handling the installation properly. Those are:
J2SE Runtime Environment 5.0 update 5.0 (a 118MB file)
and:
Java 2 Runtime Environment, SE v 1.4.2_05 (a 108MB file)
Do I need both of these installed? If not, which should I uninstall?
Or, should I just leave it alone, and not worry about it?
Yeah, I don't have much in the way of technical knowledge...
Any help or advice would be appreciated. Thank you.
Bob VanHorstThanks for the feedback. I think I'll do just that. Once in a while I have a problem with Java not bringing up a webcam shot, but when that happens, it seems to be more website based than a general condition.

I need help with a frequently freezing macbook pro late 2011.
The problem started about three weeks ago. Since then I have been trying to troubleshoot myself. With every page or site I go to, including mac applications, my computer freezes with a spinning wheel every 30 seconds or so. The problem began before I upgraded to mavericks. When that did not fix the problem I tried to erase and reinstall mountain lion in recovery. I was able to erase but was only given the option to reinstall mavericks, which I did. I keep seeing the same things in my console. I am not sure if I have one related problem or multiple problems. Please help.
Here are the results from my eyre check

Need help with pc to mac question
I have an imac. I have a pc. The pc has a wireless broadband card - it's my only internet connection and it wont connect to my mac physically. How can i connect the mac to the pc so I can access the internet connection on the mac through the pc
Would it be correct to assume that the wireless broadband card is a mobile telephone network (3G) PC Card of some kind, or is it an 802.11 WiFi card?
Also, in order to make it easier for people here to help, could you perhaps provide some additional information about the Mac and PC models, the operating system versions involved et cetera?

Flash noob needs help with simple and easy question on animation
sorry if this is completely obvious, but Im having trouble and cant start my project until I figure it out. Basically whats happening is I create two keyframes (1 on frame 1 and the other on frame 10) on my mouth layer. In the first frame its normal and on the 10th frame its a different shape. But when I go out of that layer and into the previous layer overview (if that makes any sense), the change isnt there. Frame 1, all the way to frame 10, looks like frame 10 did on the mouth layer. Shouldnt the change be saved on the previous layer overview and shouldn't I be able to see the mouth change shapes? I havent ever had this problem so am i missing something? If this doesn't make any sense, I can provide some screen caps to visualize to you guys what I'm going off about.
Thanks. You could be doing any number of things wrong. If the artwork on frame 1 is different from the artwork on frame 10, and each of these frames is a keyframe in the same layer, did you set a tween on the keyframe in frame 1? If the art is drawn directly to the stage in each keyframe, you should be using a shape tween. If the art in each keyframe is a symbol, then you should be using a classic tween in the first keyframe. In either case you can view the animation by dragging the playback head across the timeline, or, use the play button at the bottom of the timeline window.
When you talk about the "previous layer overview", are you talking about moving from the editing window for a movieclip to the main timeline? If this is the case, then, if you edit a movieclip that is on the main timeline, you should see result of that edit when you play the main timeline. Or is it something else that you are doing?
When you first start up Flash, there is a menu that lets you select what type of file you want to create. There is also a third column labeled "Learn". You may want to spend some time going through those tutorials. -
Yea for the videos, I want to put some Red vs Blue videos on there. And so dar the only way that I see how to put them on there is to buy quicktime 7 pro. Cause it says you have to export them into Itunes. Is there any other way to do it because when I try to update my ipod with the Red vs Blue videos on my library list. It says," Some of the videos in your iTunes library, including the video [video name here], were not copied to the iPod [name of your ipod here] because they cannot be played on this iPod" It confused me when I have the fifth generation iPod.
Voden,
A quick search would have answered your question, as it gets asked about a dozen times a day.
Anyway, the iPod only supports 2 codecs for video, MPEG4 and H.264. On top of that, it needs to conform to the pixel dimensions and bitrate that the iPod will support as well.
Since you're on Windows, you can use Videora iPod Convertor to convert the videos to the correct format.
To use Videora iPod Convertor to convert movies for use on your iPod, consult these helpful links:
To get started: Videora iPod Convertor Guide
If you have questions: Videora iPod Convertor Frequently Asked Questions
If you have more questions, post them here: Videora iPod Convertor Forum
Note that Videora iPod Convertor is a 3rd party program. If you need help with it, post your question there. -
Need help with illustrator cs5
Hi everyone.....first time on a forum and hope someone can help. I am using illustrator cs5 on OSx snow leapard. I am designing wings, following a demo and when I get to the part where I am supposed to use the reflect tool, I come to grief. Firstly the reflect tool dialogue box has two windows in the options part.....patterns or objects. I am supposed to be able to uncheck these but they are greyed out and not changeable. Secondly when I try to reflect my wing, using the option key to copy as well, the program appears to turn my wing over and give me a view of what would be the back of the wing, not a reflection. My fella and I have spent some considerable time trying to figure out what the issue is but to no avail...........Hope someone can help ..........Josephine Star.
Josephine,
In the future, please try to title your threads with something meaningful. Titles like "help" or "need help with Illustrator" or "Beginner Question" are useless. Fairly all posts are about "help with Illustrator" and about 98% of them are from beginners.
function(){return A.apply(null,[this].concat($A(arguments)))}
why won't my reflect tool operate properly.....we have just spent another hour trying to sort it out.
Is your Reflect Tool not operating as shown in Illustrator's instructions (online Help)? If not, how is it behaving differently?
Have you looked at the instructions? If not, do you not think that spending over an hour while typing posts in an online forum, waiting for answers (which are as often incorrect as correct) for every little question you may have about Illustrator is a much less time-efficient way to learn the program than reading the provided documentation?
function(){return A.apply(null,[this].concat($A(arguments)))}
when I try to reflect my wing, using the option key to copy as well, the program appears to turn my wing over and give me a view of what would be the back of the wing, not a reflection
"A view of what would be the back" (i.e.; a mirror image) is what Reflect means in the context of Illustrator's Reflect tool. What did you expect different?
Clicking with the Reflect Tool while holding alt/opt(Windows/Mac) sets the center of transformation where you click and invokes the dialog. So, for example, if the object is bilaterally symetrical about its vertical axis (like an upward-pointing triangle), and you altClick its center and then click OK in the resulting dialog, there will be no difference, because the mirror image of such a triangle reflected across a vertical axis would be identical.
Unless it changed in CS5 (don't have it loaded on this laptop)--which I doubt, clicking Copy instead of OK in the dialog is what makes a reflected copy; not holding the alt/opt key.
If you...
1. Mousedown with the Reflect Tool
2. Press and hold Alt
3. Drag
...then you will reflect the object about the position where you mousedown, interactively (without invoking the dialog). While doing so, if you also add the Shift key before mouseup, the reflection will be a copy.

Another user had success doing the following:
I got some help from an apple assistant on the phone. It is kind of round about way to get in.
Here is what he said to do and it is working for me...
a. on the device that is asking you for the security questions go to "settings", > "store" >
tap the Apple ID and choose view"Apple ID" and sign in.
b. Tap on payment information and add a credit/debit card of your preference then select
"done", in the upper right corner
c. sign out and back into iTunes on the device by going to "settings"> "store" > tap the
Apple ID and choose "sign-out" > Tap "sign -in" > "use existing Apple ID" and you
should be asked to verify your security code for the credit /debit card and NOT the
security questions.
d. At this time you can remove the card by going back in to edit the payment info and
selecting "none" as the card type then saving the changes by selecting "done". You
should now be able to use your iTunes store credit without answering the security
questions.
It's working for me ...I just have to put in my 3 digit security pin from the credit card I am using.
Good Luck friends!
