Need help with edit issue...

I've got a edit that i was working on in FCp 5.1.2 and reinstalled my OS and then FCP 6...now the edit looks correct by the thumbnails, but the wrong clips show up....re connect media doesn't fix it. it seems that the original master clip outside of FCP correspnds to all my subclips(example..if subclip reads 00:02:30:27, the master clip in QT corresponds to same spot)...but when I open same clip in FCP 6...the audio is out of sync and the wrong section of the clip shows up(example if suclips reads 00:02:30:27, it shows up at wrong section in viewer and timeline).

I'v tried what X recommended, but no change in problem....when I try to open clip in a new sequence I have the same problem where the clips audio is off and the video ends about 10 minutes early, but you can still hear the audio( out of sync)...this same clips plays perfectly in QT. I have FCP 5.1.2 on a different machine and the clips opens ok, but the sequence is still out of wack.

Need help with editing flash

Hello everyone, I'm really new to flash and I have some problems with editing my flash file. Currently, I have a small flash application in a folder, containing various kinds of files such as AS, SWF, FLA, HTML. What I want to do is to change the text inside one of the buttons in the application. After doing some reasearching, I realized that I should probably make some changes to the FLA file(Quiz.fla for example) since Quiz.fla is the only FLA file in the folder. Therefore, I opened it using Adobe Flash CS5.5, what what I found out is that the Quiz.fla file is really different from other FLA files. It only shows a plain background when I open it, without showing the actual interface of the flash application. It does contain all the buttons and contants under the Library section on the right side of Adobe Flash . When I try to change the text inside the button then save-publish, the newly published SWF file would just be a static picture of the button I've changed and everything else is gone. Any help is greatly appreciated!

ya, that's why I'm confused. I've actually tried editing some sample flash FLA files and all I need to do is to edit them in the Library and it would work out. But this one seems to have some weird problems. I could actually send the application folder to you if you have some time to take a look at it. Thank you very much again for the help!

Need help with Workflow Issue: One notification sending out non-stop email.

We've created a custom PO Approval Workflow based on standard PO Approval Workflow and we've had this for a while now. Last week, we encountered an issue where the notification keeps on sending email to the Suppliers and Buyers. We found out that the particular notification_id in the WF_NOTIFICATIONS table keeps getting updated by the minute setting the MAIL_STATUS to INVALID then back to SENT then back to INVALID again and so on. We think that whatever is updating this table is the cause but up until now we haven't found what's updating it. Below are some information of our instance.
Oracle Applications: 11.5.10.2
Database: 10.2.0.4 64 bit
OS: AIX
Custom Workflow based on revision 115.127.11510.16
Customizations:
- Created custom notification XX_EMAIL_PO_PDF_SUPP based on EMAIL_PO_PDF_SUPP.
- Created custom message XX_EMAIL_PO_PDF based on EMAIL_PO_PDF.
- Added #WFM_CC to XX_EMAIL_PO_PDF.
- Created custom attribute XX_PO_WF_EMAIL_PERFORMER and set as Performer to notification XX_EMAIL_PO_PDF_SUPP.
- Created custom function XX_ADDTL_STARTUP_VAL right after function "Set Workflow Startup Values". This function sets #WFM_CC attribute and XX_PO_WF_EMAIL_PERFORMER attribute.
Not sure if the customizations have anything to do with the issue since not all POs have this issue. Have anyone experience this? Would really appreciate any help with this.

Moving to Uk and Need help with Voltage Issue

I recently (less then a month) bought a new Intel based iMac (17/1.83/512/160/COMBO/AP-USA) with built in iSight, and now I am moving to UK for a year. I want to take my iMac with me. Can someone help me with true answer on how to solve the voltage issue. I did some research on here and else where but could not come to any conclusion yet.

Thank you very much for your help. I am well aware of plug/pin adaptor to connect US plug in to UK outlet, I have been UK and Euro frequently but always with my Macbook which never had any problem cause all notebooks comes with power adaptor. This is first time I will be going with iMac that doesn't have power adaptor to convert voltage.
All I need to know can I just plug directly into wall outlet or will need a convertor in between. I am not sure is my iMac has auto switching inbuilt.

Need help with languages issue in iOS app created in Flash Pro CS5.5

Hello all,
I'm using Flash Pro CS5.5 on a Mac running Snow Leopard to create an iOS app by publishing with 'AIR for iOS' from inside Flash Pro. Everything works great except after I submit my app to the Apple App Store and it is approved, the App Store listing claims that the app is available in a ton of different languages including English, German, Chinese, Italian, Spanish, etc. Since this app is a word game and all the words are in English, this is a pretty significant issue.
If I view the binary details for the app in iTunes Connect, it shows that localizations are active for all of the different languages. This information is read from the .ipa file that is submitted.
If I unzip the .ipa file, I can see that folders have been created for all of the localizations (i.e. en.lproj, es.lproj, fr.lproj, etc.). If I delete any of those folders, the .ipa will give me a 'resources modified' error at install.
I have also tried setting the plist attribute 'CFBundleLocalizations' to 'English' by editing the 'app.xml'. I have verified that the attribute has been changed correctly but it does not solve the issue. All of the localizations are still active.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Need help with editing AVCHD files in Final Cut Express 4

The AVCHD files were recorded on a Canon HG10 before I bought a Mac Pro OS X 15.1.
I transfered them to a file on my desktop, like the instructions tell me to do, but when I get to the part of "mount the media files in the log and transfer", I get stuck.
The file is named AVCHD and when I try to upload it into the Log and Transfer window through the little plus sign on the left hand top corner, I get the following message:
"AVCHD" contains unsupported media or has an invalid directory structure. Please choose a folder whose directory structure matches supported media."
It does not allow me to import the files individually. I tried dragging the files to where it says "Drag media here" and nothing happens. If I try to drag the file to the area in the top left corner of log and transfer, I get the same message as above.
What do I need to do?

I have a different camcorder, but my experience might be of help to you.
I have a Sony HDR-UX1 AVCHD camcorder that records to 8cm DVDs.
I tried using Apple Final Cut Express 4's FILE > LOG AND TRANSFER command to capture directly from the 8cm DVD, which resided in an external Sony DVD drive... and I was not successful.
Then, I remembered my experience on Windows XP where I used Corel's Ulead VideoStudio 11 Plus.
With Ulead VideoStudio 11 Plus, I found I had to drag the contents of removable media discs and disks to my Windows desktop, which then allowed me to use the software video capture tools successfully.
So I tried the same thing with Apple Final Cut Express 4.
I dragged the BDMV FOLDER on my 8cm AVCHD disc to my Mac's desktop.
I then used the FILE > LOG AND TRANSFER command and simply browsed to the folder on the desktop and -- Voila! -- the contents of the folder appeared as video thumbnails in the LOG AND TRANSFER WINDOW and everything worked.

I need help with heat issue!!!!!

Hey every one this is my first post, i got my imac 3 days ago. I have no previews experience with the macs so i need some advise on operarting heat temps. Well i first came to realise that i got heat issues on the 2 day while i was playing StarCraft 2, the back of the mac was really hot and started to affect the performance, it stopped playing smoothly and started lagging. Also the fans did not idle while the temp rise.

I have deicded to keep a track of the temperatures for my self while increasing the graphics resolution so that i can find the maximum graphics that the system can operate while playing star craft 2 and staying with in temperature limits.

Beginner needs help with editing Drum

I'm absolutely new to Logic Pro X
How do I use a drum pattern, but then edit the snares, bass drum to fit my song?
I would have thought this would be what very one wants but only seem to find stuff that utilises existing patterns.
Is there a clear example I can go to?

Well tonym2410, I'm afraid it's one way or another! If you're not content with with the stock beats, you'll have to produce them by yourself and in order to accomplish this you will have to do a bit of learning, no way around that!

*NEED HELP WITH MAGSAFE ISSUES*

So a few weeks back, i spilled soup on my computer (broke my keyboard), i bought and replaced the keyboard myself. In the process i also broke the cable that goes to the motherboard, and to the little board that has the magsafe connector as well as the microphone. I bought a new cable for that and replaced it.
All was working pretty well, except now when i plug my magsafe into my mba, it will charge the computer for a few minutes 0-3 mins to be exact, then will just stop working completely, the light will turn off, and the computer runs off of battery. however if i unplug the magsafe from the wall outlet and plug it back into the wall, it will charge the computer for another few minutes then stop charging..., its just a long endless cycle... Another odd thing, if i put the computer to sleep, shutdown, it will charge the computer fully... but if i have the computer on, and running a few programs, it shuts off... I did repair the computer by myself, and could have made an error in the process... the computer is a macbook air, mid-2012.

I have made sure that the motherboard is clean,
i have cleaned the magsafe and the area where you connect it
i used my sisters magsafe (Brand new magsafe)

Need help with Authorization Issue

Hi,
I have SAP_ALL authorization. When I try to view data or run query on the cube 0CP_SLSCA I get an error saying user not authorized
For my ID SAP_ALL and SAP_NEW profiles have been added. As no roles have been created yet, no roles have been assigned.
Please help.. do I need to add any other profile to my ID (system is BI 7, does it follow some other concept too).

I need help with a issue for my ibooks

So i recently updated my iPad mini to the latest software and i when i did i noticed that one of my books for school got deleted which is my Algebra 1 book, so i go to my purchased books and it says that it's downloading so just to double check i go to my shelf and nothing there it doesn't show the cover of the book or anything, and i really need this book for school to my homework, classwork,study... etc. So if you may have a solution please tell me!!!

Yes, Fusion will allow you to install the Windows OS, but the Windows OS is not included. Parallels Desktop and Virtual Box free download from Sun are other alternatives for running multiple different OSes along with the Mac OS. With Mac OS 10.5 you can use the built-in feature called BootCamp to install and boot Windows on the Intel Mac, but not run it at the same time.
Try Crossover for Mac to run a Windows .exe, like Office, without the Windows OS. (only for Intel Macs) They also have a download trial version.

Need help with edit problem

while making an edit on a photo, I did something wrong. Now the system seems to be frozen. In organizer it just won't respond, then I get a box saying elements isn't respnonding. I can open up editor and get to the picture I was working on, but in the layers box where the photo is also displayed there is a little lock next to it. Can anybody please tell me how to fix this problem?

If there is only one layer and its been named as background, then double click on it and you will see a pop up to rename it, or keep it as Layer 0.
If the layer is already renamed to layer 0 and still its locked then click on the lock icon in the bottom of the layer pane. to unlock the layer.

Need help with editing audio...

I am in the processof editing a file that contains audio however I do not have the source audio files. Is there a way to extract the sound file (mp3) to an editor (wavepad)... so that I can edit it and replace it?

Make a new Flash movie, drag the sound file that you want into the Library of this new movie. Add the sound file to the timeline and extend the timeline to show the whole sound. Save the movie. Export a Quicktime video of that movie. Use no compression. You can now export the sound from this .mov file using Quicktime pro or any video editor application.
