Need help with either printing or automating word

I am attempting to write a simple application to print out formatted business checks to a printer. in vb.net in 2013 Visual Studio. Problem is I need to be able to change font type in the middle of the page, and it appears that font type is applied to
the whole document that is printed, is there a work around. Last line of a check needs to be in MIC font while the rest of the check is in a standard font. I have the MIc font but no way to make a change for only the last line of the check. there are
3 checks per sheet of paper so need to change fonts multiple times.

Based on your description, I'm afraid that it is not the correct forum for this issue, since this forum is to discuss the VS IDE. Your real issue would be related the language development.

Need help with duplicate print jobs over network that I can't cancel

I have the Photosmart Premium All-in-One on my home network. My kids who each have laptop running Windows 7 and are connected via wireless to the printer via a DLINK DIR-655.
They hit the print button too many times and it keeps printing over and over again.
Is there a way to get the printer to stop printing these duplicates. I tried turning off/on but they just keep printing.
We're wasting paper/ink and I need help with a solution.

There should be a button with a red 'X' on it on the front of the printer. This is the print cancel button.

Hi,
You can use the Random class to generate Random number between 0 to the array length and use the generated random number as index in to the Strign array.
To generate Random number use the following code
Random r = new Random();
num = ((r.nextInt() >>> 1) % wordList.length);
num will have the randomly generated number.

Need help with HP printer installation.

Trying to install drivers for an HP OfficeJet 6500 e710n on two machines, an iMac and a MacBook Air, both running OS X 10.7. The printer is a networked printer that I have tried adding to both machines as an IP printer and as a USB printer. With either method the printer is automatically discovered and the drivers are downloaded. After the drivers are installed the process stalls at "Configuring the device..." I have waited at this point for over half an hour with no progress before choosing cancel. I have also downloaded and run the installer from HP with the same results. The only way that I have been able to connect with this printer is by manually configuring an IP printer with the generic PCL drivers. This allows me to print but only in low-res black and white. Any suggestions?

If you force restart the computer on the freeze up, or force quit the printer adding window, does the printer appear in the print and scan system preference? In other words, did the printer successfully install? (is it possible that the setup part of the install failed, but the actual install worked?)
If so, you might be able to set the configurations yourself.
Open up the print and scan system preference. Double click on the printer.
When the printer queue window opens up, you should be able to click on the printer setup button.
Go through all the tabs and set things up the way you like.

Need Help With HP Printer

Currently I have a HP 2610 AIO printer. It works great, for the most part. I have noticed though that the footers in the MS Word 2004 default margins, as well as margins in Pages and Adobe Reader 7 all get cut off at the bottom. Even though if I transfer the document over to my PC with Word 2003 and Adobe Reader 7 the document prints fine.
I tried contacting HP today, but I probably won't see a response till Monday so I am asking people here. Is there a way to fix this issue with HP printers? Is there a third party driver, or default Apple drive that could be used to overwrite the default and hopefully this fix this bug?
BTW so far I have tried the following:
-uninstalling Office and reinstalling
-uninstalling HP software + drivers & reinstalling
Is there a preference file or some other file that would reset to a default if I remove it?
I am looking for any and all answers I can find at this point because so far from searching the Pages forum here, as well as the Google Newsgroup for MS Word 2004, there doesn't seem to be any way to solve this problem.

I figured out that I needed to select Borderless printing. Otherwise Mac OS X doesn't properly recognize the proper bottom margin of my printer.

Need help with hp printer/airport

until yesterday, my ibook printed to my hp 5250 on the airport network. i came back from a trip, and although the internet connection works fine, i can no longer print. i can see the printer (listed as a bonjour printer), but all jobs are stopped. tried the usual - shut everything down and restarted;disconnected and reconnected printer and airport; deleted printer from "print and fax" in system preferences and then added it back in. nothing. i have things in such a twist that i can't print from the printer even when connected directly (the printer DOES work when connected directly to another mac). i can also see another hp printer connected to the network, but cannot add it as a printer - it just spins forever. please help - could i have updated something from apple that is in conflict with my printer working? it is the only thing i can think of. thanks in advance!

Need help with scanner/printer

I'm having trouble with my scanner. I only started having problems yesterday. When I came to this website it told me to use HP print scan dr. But I ran it, and it told me to go back to HP customer care. I've tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it. Nothing works. I don't know what I did to it.

3. How is the printer connected to the computer?
Do you have the printer connected directly to a wall outlet or is it in a surge protector or power bar? Even if you have been using a surge protector/power bar all this time and you feel it is not the cause, please connect it to a wall outlet just so we can eliminate the power source as the root cause. Need help with automatic printing of a page

I am looking for inputs for a particular scenario; On the Oracle HR Self-service pages, once the employee adds/updates his personal details and submits his changes to be approved by the HR manager, the final confirmation page should be automatically routed to a particular printer and be printed. Can this functionality be achieved with OAF coding for the Submit button?

Need help with 5515 Printer

HP Photosmart 5515 Printer not used for the last 7 months. Replaced all 4 ink cartridges, printer will not print. Ran all the suggestions in the help section. Nothing works. Test sheet printed all colors, not black. Tried to copy something, blank page. HELP

Were you able to try the troubleshooting steps listed here: Printer Does Not Print Black Ink or Color Ink, or Prints Blank Pages, I understand you may have done some of these steps already but I need you to complete all steps in order to resolve the missing black issue you are experiencing.
Please note: There are three printhead cleaning stages. Complete all three stages if necessary. If the printhead is badly clogged, it might require another cleaning cycle. If so, wait 30 minutes after the last (third) cleaning stage to start the first stage of the cleaning process over again.
If you are still unable to print in black ink, I suspect the issue may be the printer and not the cartridge. Please let me know which Country/Region you are in as well as the product Warranty status: HP Warranty Checker

Need help with media-print style sheets

I am trying to create a style sheet for printing only for pages on my site. I have found a lot of the same information describing how to remove unwanted items, and change colors and so forth for the items to be printed. My problem is that after the unwanted parts of the page are removed, the remaining test to be printed does not "flow" into the areas previously occupied by other elements. The printed text remains in the location on the page that it occupies on the webpage. How do I get the text to "take over" the whole page?
Below is the style definition for the text content as it is displayed on the screen:

Need help with a java loop and word program

do you know any way to get a Scanner object to select a random string in a text file?
ok pretty much I have a text file that isa list of 5 letter words. I need to select one at random.
the only way I could think was to scan the file, get the entire nu of words, have Math.random choose a random nu then loop scanner.next() and have the loop condition run the Math.random amount of times
but... when I do that I CANT ACCESS THE WORD OUTSIDE THE STUPID LOOP grrr...
i'm annoyed lol
this is the loop code that selects the random word

while (random >= chooseLoopCount)

see it's assigned properly to be the output of the scanner in all lower case letters, but outside the loop, the variable doesn't even exist

Need Help with Arabic Font from Microsoft word to Adobe Illustrator

hello after i spoke with a adobe professional at the mac store, I was told that in my Mac computer in systems preferences, click on international and then click tab on Input Menu and select the arabic input source. Once I did that i thought it would work but then realize i saw another issue.
It look totally different. Please any suggestions?

Without a different version of AI (AIME from Winsoft) your are not going to be able to handle a Right to Left language such as Arabic in regular AI. Your best bet is to make a PDF from Word and place it as an image in AI.

Need help with photo printing

Since installing a more current version of HP Photosmart, I'm having trouble printing photos in a custom size.
In the last version, I was able to create my own size photo to print... in this new version, I don't see how to do that.
Is this updated version unable to support my request??

I need help with a print spooler error message

Out of the blue I lost my printer connection. When I look at my printer menu there is no printer listed. When I try to add or install a printer, I get some odd message about a printer spooler is not running. Restart the machine. I've tried unhooking the printer, rebooting, unhooking from the power source. I even went into some area as an administrator and found the print spool task and when I clicked on the start button there was no action.

This is a MS Windows issue. Try this:
Right click on My Computer
Select Manage
Double click on Services and Application
Double click on Services
Scroll down to Print Spooler and double click on it
Click on Dependencies tab
Check what dependencies the print spooler has, if any you may need to click on + on those dependencies to more dependencies
Go back to the Services list
On each of the spooler dependencies, double click on it
Make sure it is set to Automatic in the Startup Type drop down menu
Now click on Start to start the service
Click OK
Now try and print.

When I send a job to my Epson Stylus Photo 1400 Series printer it immediately closes Elements 8. It was previously working, but in the last day or so Microsoft Window shuts down the program. Help!
