Need help with how to configure jumpers on new HD

I'm replacing the Hard Drive in an iMac 350 with the same type of Seagate HD I just replaced in my cube.
I have a question about the jumber arrangement. On the old Apple HD [that came out of the iMac], with the Apple sticker face down on the table, there are 5 sets of jumpers. On the HD that came out of the iMac, from the left on the top the second and third pins have the jumper on them only.
On the new Seagate 120 drive, it only has 4 sets of pins. From the factory and from the left, the third top and third bottom pins have a jumper attached.
Obvioulsy, I want to switch the jumper on the Seagate drive so that it will be like the drive that came out of the iMac. The fact that the Seagate has only 4 sets of pins is a bit confusing to me. Should I reconfigure the jumper on the Seagate so that working from the left the top second and thrid pins have the jumper across them.

Mac OS X only wants to install and boot from a Master drive.

As your notebook is a business class machine, security is more stringent - the password is stored in non-volatile memory and there are no 'backdoor' passwords. Your best option would be to contact HP regarding this.

I am Creating a Kickstarter fund raising campaign video and need help with how to do it?

I need help in putting together a 2-3 minute video for my Kickstarter fund raising campaign titled 1 YEAR, 10,000 PIECES, 1 ARTIST Live Streaming 24/7. I only have images and voice to work with no video camera and I need as simple iMovie tutorial as possible since I have a brain injury disability, which means it takes me about 4 times longer then a person with an un-injured brain to put together something like this.

Need help with how to call VB proceedure to open Adobe reader pdf file from differnt folders

Using MS access 9.0.2720 visual basic proceedure to call Adobe reader to open a specific flle from a folder on my c drive.
useing the shell command , shellexecute is not available in the version I'm using.
I can call the Reader with this code: call shell "C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Reader 11.0\Reader\AcroRd32.exe" and it will open reader, but
I can't seem to get it to open a specific PDF file, I tried
call shell "C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Reader 11.0\Reader\AcroRd32.exe" & "(folderpath)\.95.pdf"
This use to work when I was running Xp and acrobat 5.0 , I am currentlt running windows 7

Need help with cisco 881 configuration.

Hi, I have cisco 881 wireless router, and I need to configure this as a switch, I have dhcp server in network 192.168.12.254, and I need that cisco wifi and lan clients get IP addresses from existing dhcp server.
I connect wire from network (with dhcp server) to FastEthernet0, create vlan interface (192.168.12.10 255.255.255.0), described vlan on other FastEthernet interfaces, so LAN clients get IP addresses from my dhcp server without problems, but how to do the same with wifi clients?

Follow this support doc because you need to trunk the AP to the router and specify the vlan the wireelss clients will be on.

I am coming up the learning curve with Dreamweaver CS3.
Within a container section, I have enclosed text with DIV
tags, creating a CSS ID to add color to the background, and then
applied other class styles to the text. Result is that now the text
is enclosed by the background color applied to the CSS ID box.
What can you do to tighten-up the box around the text? Tried
playing with the BOX properties but the background shrinks leaving
white space between the BOX area and adjacent DIVs (how do get rid
of the white space??) and the text stays in the same spot, the box
showing sometimes only partial text.
What I want is to create is rows of links/text, each row with
a different colored background, the box tightly wrapped around the
text, and no white space between the boxes. How do I do that?
Help is greatly appreciated, as a newbie I can get 90% there
but the finer details still escape me. Thanks for your help.

i have a file named xxx.txt
i need to retreive data from that file. the data that i want to retrieve is enclosed with << >>

haha xxx-563 sss 85.2
after a few lines, the another record appear.

i would like to record down the data, 90.5 & 190.5, how do i go about doing so, will appreciated it if someone would guide me along. thanks

After you have read a line from the file either
find the location of << and >> and substring the stuff in between or
use regex (regular expression) however this is advanced and may be beyond your level of understanding.

Try this one and see if it helps:
Close your iTunes,
Go to command Prompt -
(Win 7/Vista) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES, right mouse click "Command Prompt", choose "Run as Administrator".
(Win XP SP2 & above) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES/Command Prompt
In the "Command Prompt" screen, type in
netsh winsock reset
Hit "ENTER" key
Restart your computer.
If you do get a prompt after restart windows to remap LSP, just click NO.
Now launch your iTunes, Sync and see if it is working now.
If you are still having these type of problems after trying the winsock reset, refer to this article to identify which software in your system is inserting LSP:

Still having navigation problems and need help with how to debug

I've been porting over a servlet project to JSF and I'm still having navigation problems. I thought the problem might have been because the original project used HTML frames and so the "from-view-id" JSP defined the frame/framesets and the specific JSP that does the submit (and so is named in the "from-view-id" is never defined in a "to-view-id" attribute). I've now switched to using an IFRAME, and that resolves that problem. So now the JSP is defined in a "to-view-id" attribute and it includes an named IFRAME that can be used as a target. I press the submit button and I get not the JSP expected butinstead the same JSP displayed inside its own IFRAME.
Here is the code for the submit. I've simplified it as much as possible with a static action (originally it was a call to a method) just to try and get things to work. This is the current version:

Reading your original message this time I see what you're suggesting and found a conversion error although I don't understand it. Here's the code (including the <h:message/>):

Need help with dual display configuration

I have just connected a HD, widescreen monitor to my Mac tower and am having trouble getting video from FCP to show up on it. It's connected to the mini port and is displaying the same desktop image as my primary monitor but I can't seem to get it to display the video when editing. What am I missing?

The "mirror" box was already unchecked. The best I could get after trying every conceivable combination was just one frame at a time whenever I stopped playing the timeline. The screen then refreshes to show whatever that last frame is, but it will not play the video, it just displays the very last frame.

Apple does not offer 3.1.2 for download any more, so if you wanted it, you could not get it legitimately. Maybe from a 3rd party, which you should use Google for.
Why not 3.1.3? It works without problems for almost everyone.

New to Photoshop (CS4Ext) and need help with basic loading of images to new folder.

Just purchased CS4Ext and installed it. It's not showing up on my desktop as a quick entry icon. I want to simply load images from a portable hard drive (USB) to a new folder in photoshop so I can review them and begin to select and separate out some of interest to manipulate and share or get ready to print. It 's the most basic help one can need butI'm jut not clear on the workflow steps . Would appreciate someone walking me through the steps .

Let's see… First of all, this is the Photoshop Macintosh forum. Installed applications never, ever show up on your desktop as a "quick entry" icon on a Mac. Are you on a Windows PC maybe?

Just select them with your mouse in the Finder and drag-copy them into the new folder. Done.

Ok, so I just bought a new Apple 23" monitor. I had originally bought a Samsung 21" and tried desperately to get the picture quality on the samsung to look like the quality of my macbook. I messed with calibration settings to no luck.
After a few months I gave in and bought a Mac cinema. Problem is it looks like its still using my old settings because the quality ***. Looks nothing like it did at the store or my macbook. It looks just like my old monitor.
How can I reset the settings on my new monitor so i get that apply quality. I am not gaming, I am talking about my general desktop display and photoshop files.
