Need help with Language option!

Can I choose a template or copy an existing form, and translate it into another language? How do I do this? I can't find any help in the FAQs....

Yes, the templates are completely editable (note in the bottom left corner of the template tab there is a drop down that allows you to select other languages for the templates).
You can go to the Options tab -> Language section to change the language of the form (this changes the error messages, submit button, etc).

Need help with languages issue in iOS app created in Flash Pro CS5.5

Hello all,
I'm using Flash Pro CS5.5 on a Mac running Snow Leopard to create an iOS app by publishing with 'AIR for iOS' from inside Flash Pro. Everything works great except after I submit my app to the Apple App Store and it is approved, the App Store listing claims that the app is available in a ton of different languages including English, German, Chinese, Italian, Spanish, etc. Since this app is a word game and all the words are in English, this is a pretty significant issue.
If I view the binary details for the app in iTunes Connect, it shows that localizations are active for all of the different languages. This information is read from the .ipa file that is submitted.
If I unzip the .ipa file, I can see that folders have been created for all of the localizations (i.e. en.lproj, es.lproj, fr.lproj, etc.). If I delete any of those folders, the .ipa will give me a 'resources modified' error at install.
I have also tried setting the plist attribute 'CFBundleLocalizations' to 'English' by editing the 'app.xml'. I have verified that the attribute has been changed correctly but it does not solve the issue. All of the localizations are still active.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Need Help with universal option??

My daughter need to run an application in rosetta so I found where I am supposed to go to app, get info and check the box open in rosetta well the General folder says kind:Folder instead of the universal and where the check box for start in rosetta is it says shared folder?

You can't "run" a folder in Rosetta. You can only run applications. Some applications are "stand-alone", some are inside folders with other related files they need.
Open the folder and find the icon for the actual application. Click once on the actual application icon (to select it) and then Control or right-click or Cmd + I to "Get Info" and the "Info" window will open.
You will see the ""Open Using Rosetta" box just underneath the colored boxes near the middle of the window.
After checking that box you just close the window.
Leopard will know to use Rosetta to run that particular program.

Need help with dialog option buttons

I am trying to make a program with a menu displaying several buttons that the user can select. I've been following the "How to Make Dialogs" tutorial but the window becomes extremely long when the buttons are displayed horizontally in the same row and there doesn't seem to be a way to make the option buttons display vertically in a column rather than horizontally in a row with JOptionPane. Is there another way to do it?

Here's a simple example of what I mean. If you go my route, you'll understand how to do this. If on the otherhand you do rgjonathan's suggestion, you'll lose out and be forced into whatever pigeon-hole that NetBeans forces you into:

Need help with AS8 configuration

Our present situation is like this:
AS7 with single domain and multiple server instances
instance A running on port xxx containing app1
instance B running on port yyy containing app2
instance C running on port zzz containing app3
Now, when I move to AS8.1 PE, I dont see the option to create a server instance inside a domain. I need to create 3 domains in order to accomplish the same task as above. Not only that, now I need to login to 3 different admin servers to manage the 3 apps on 3 ports
I need help with some options I can use

I'm not sure but i think that on 8.1 pe you can have only one server instance by default...
But you can olso try by command line tool asadminin [installdir soas]/binuse:
asadmin --help for a list of commands available.
In the list should be create-instance to create a stand alone instance.

You mean an image such as a scanned document?
If that is the case, the file doesn't contain any text for Reader Out Loud to read. In order to fix that, you would need an application such as Adobe Acrobat that does Optical Character Recognition to convert the images to actual text.
You can also try to export the file as a Word document or something else using ExportPDF which I believe offers OCR and is cheaper than Acrobat.

I need help with the conditional build tag option RoboHelp 10

I need help with the conditional build tag option. I want to apply CBT to content in a topic. I looked at the Help topics and believed that I applied the feature correctly. Howver, it is not working as desired. In the 2nd sentence below I want the text highlighted in blue to only appear for the printed output and the text printed in purple to only appear for the .htm /online output. Please help.

Using tagging is a two part process.
Part One
You create and apply the tags to the information you wish to control.
Part Two
You create a Build Expression that is used when you generate your output. The Build Expression typically reads something like: NOT Tag1 (or whatever your tag name is)
Then when you generate and use the Build Expression, the information tagged is not included in the build.

I am unable to use this template to create a new page and get the "unbalanced #EndEditable tag" error.
If I open the file independently it looks great - otherwise I get the error.

Hi all, I please need help with my calculator project that I have to do for an assignment.
Here is the project's specifications that I need to do"

When the program starts, it asks the user for his/her name and surname. I got the program to ask the user again and again for his/her name and surname
when he/she doesn't insert anything or just press 'enter', but if the user enters a number for the name and surname part, the program continues.
Now my question is this: How can I restrict the user to only enter 'letters' (and spaces of course) but allow NO numbers for his/her surname??

What you could do is checking the input string for numbers. If it contains numbers, just reprompt for the Name.
AND you might want to ask yourself why the heck a calculator needs to know the users Name.

We need help with maximizing performance of our use of Berkeley XML DB. I am filling most of the 29 part question as listed by Oracle's BDB team.

Everytime the user logs in, the current xml document is loaded from
a oracle database table and put it in the Berkeley XML DB.
The documents get deleted from XML DB when the Oracle application
server container is stopped.
The number of documents should start with zero initially and it
will grow with every login.

The minimum is about 2MB and the maximum could 20MB. The average
mostly about 5MB.

We are using document data only to save changes made
to the application data in a web application. The final save goes
to the relational database. Berkeley XML DB is just used to store
temporary data since going to the relational database for each change
will cause severe performance issues.
17. Please describe the shape of one of your typical documents? Please
do this by sending us a skeleton XML document.
Due to the sensitive nature of the data, I can provide XML schema instead.
18. What is the rate of document insertion/update required or
expected? Are you doing partial node updates (via XmlModify) or
replacing the document?
The document is inserted during user login. Any change made to the application
data grid or other data components gets saved in Berkeley DB. We also have
an automatic save every two minutes. The final save from the application
gets saved in a relational database.
19. What is the query rate required/expected?
Users will not be entering data rapidly. There will be lot of think time
before the users enter/modify data in the web application. This is a pilot
project but when we go live with this application, we will expect 25 users
at the same time.

Each user logged into the web application will be running a bdb transactoin
within the context of a struts action thread.

We are clocking 10-12 seconds of loading a document from dbd when
five users are on the system.

No to the first two questions.
The web application is an online review of test questions. The users
login and then review the items one by one. The relational database
holds the data in xml. During application load, the application
retrieves the xml and then saves it to bdb. While the user
is making changes to the data in the application, it writes those
changes to bdb. Finally when the user hits the SAVE button, the data
gets saved to the relational database. We also have an automatic save
every two minues, which saves bdb xml data and saves it to relational
database.

Could it be that you simply do not have set up indexes to support your query? If so, you could do some basic testing using the dbxml shell:

I can't remember where the output is explained; my feeling is that "V(...)" means the index is being used (which is good), but that observation may not be accurate. Note that some details in the setVerbose command could differ, as I'm using 2.4.16 while you're using 2.4.13.
Also, take a look at the query plan. You can post it here and some people will be able to diagnose it.

Need help with a simple process with FTP Adapter and File Adapter

I am trying out a simple BPEL process that gets a file in opaque mode from a FTP server using a FTP adapter and writes it to the local file system using a File Adapter. However, the file written is always empty (zero bytes). I then tried out the FTPDebatching sample using the same FTP server JNDI name and this work fine surprisingly. I also verified by looking at the FTP server logs that my process actually does hit the FTP server and seems to list the files based on the filtering condition - but it does not issue any GET or RETR commands to actually get the files. I am suspecting that the problem could be in the Receive, Assign or Invoke activities, but I am not able identify what it is.
I can provide additional info such as the contents of my bpel and wsdl files if needed.
Would appreciate if someone can help me with this at the earliest.

i need help with my imessage i am using a Iphone 4 ios 6.1.3 but when i go to settings>message>send and reecieve. i only get the options Apple ID: and You can be reached by iMessage at: my current email and add another email. my question is how do i get it to where imessage uses my cell phone number instead of my Email i have looked all over the web and no luck......

The hidden text should be sent for you automatically by the phone. From personal experience, this is automatic, but something has obviously tripped up somewhere on your phone.
It appears from reading the documentation, I would first try signing out of your Apple ID by going to Settings > Messages > Send and Receive then press your Apple ID, and press Sign Out. Then sign back in. This should hopefully trigger a re-activation of your mobile number. Your mobile number should be assigned to your Apple ID on first sign-in so hopefully this signing in and out should trigger an automatic re-activation.
Failing that, others have posted a reset of the phone, as does the support page I quoted. It appears this could be a last resort as a reset can be a bit of a pain (although if you Back your phone up via iTunes, you should be able to restore it to how it is currently). I would try the signing in and out method. Hopefully, fingers crossed, it should kick your phone back into action.

All the current iMac models (both 21.5" and 27" with OS X Mt. Lion 10.8) will run CS4, 5.5 and 6 just fine. They will also run Final Cut Pro X just fine. Ditto for most any application you may want to use.
Below are some notes (specific to your apparent requirements) that may help you with your purchase decision:
Notes on purchasing a 21.5" iMac
All 21.5" iMacs come with 8GB RAM but you cannot add more later. I strongly suggest getting the maximum RAM (16GB) when you order the iMac.
The basic hard drive is a 1TB 5400rpm drive. It will work fine with Adobe CS but you will probably want the added speed of the optional 1TB Fusion drive for better performance. Some people will recommend/argue for one of the optional SSD drives instead, but they are very expensive and still only come in relatively small capacities - I don't recommend the SSD drives. Get the Fusion drive and spend any extra money on a good external hard drive for backup and/or extra storage instead of an SSD.
Notes on purchasing a 27" iMac
All 27" iMacs come with 8GB RAM and you can add more later, up to 32GB
The basic hard drive is a 1TB 7200rpm drive - it will be fine with Adobe CS. There are upgrade options to a 3TB 7200rpm drive or a 1TB or 3TB fusion drive - these will be fine also. There are also SSD drive options, but I do not recommend them. (Same comments as above.)
Notes on all the current iMacs
iMacs no longer come with built-in CD/DVD drives. If you need one, you will need to purchase the Apple Superdrive accessory drive ($79)
All of the iMac graphic processors (GPU's) are compatible with Adobe CS 4, 5.5, 6
It is very difficult to impossible to change or upgrade the hard drive later on, so don't buy low-end thinking you can add a better internal hard drive later.
Be aware that Macs always come with the latest (most recent) version of OS X. And OS X Mavericks (10.9) is due to be released soon (in the next month or two). There is no guarantee that the older Adobe CS 4 or 5.5 versions will run on OS X Mavericks. If you cannot upgrade to CS 6 in the near future, you may want to purchase now rather than after OS X Mavericks is released.
For what it's worth, I'd recommend the 27" iMac if your budget can afford it. You will appreciate the larger screen size and added capabilities over the years you will use the computer.

As your notebook is a business class machine, security is more stringent - the password is stored in non-volatile memory and there are no 'backdoor' passwords. Your best option would be to contact HP regarding this.
