Need help with my scroll for curve 9300

hi my phone is being veery weird today wellthis morning my phone was working perfectly fine then all of a sudden the scroller decides to scroll up when i try to scroll down or it moves where ever it likes and i dont know why it does this, i have tried turning my phone off and it didnt stop it and now i dont know what to do so if you can help me sort this problem then please tell me cos i havnt had this phone long and i hope i dont have to send it off for repares please help! thanks

Anytime random strange behavior or sluggishness creeps in, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the back cover and pull out the battery. Wait about a minute then replace the battery and cover. Power up and wait patiently through the long reboot -- ~5 minutes. See if things have returned to good operation. Like all computing devices, BB's suffer from memory leaks and such...with a hard reboot being the best cure.

When the program starts, it asks the user for his/her name and surname. I got the program to ask the user again and again for his/her name and surname
when he/she doesn't insert anything or just press 'enter', but if the user enters a number for the name and surname part, the program continues.
Now my question is this: How can I restrict the user to only enter 'letters' (and spaces of course) but allow NO numbers for his/her surname??

What you could do is checking the input string for numbers. If it contains numbers, just reprompt for the Name.
AND you might want to ask yourself why the heck a calculator needs to know the users Name.

Need help with video-scroll

Hello,
I need some help with a project. What I eventually want is that a webcam controls the mouse position and the mouse position
controls a video. But first I would like the part where the mouse position controls the video.
So if the mouse is on the left on your screen the video will be at the first frame and when you move you're mouse to
the right the video will play accordingly to the movement. and stop when the mouse is all the way to the right.
Effectivly the mouse scrolles through the video. It only needs to be on the x-axis.
I'm not that formilliar with flash so any help would be great

Need help with correction inscript for duplication on regular basis

I am using Oracle 10.2.0.4 on Win 2008 R2. We have Archive mode enabled and no rman catalog is used. I have a requirement where i have to duplicate prod sevrer on regular basis to development server.
I have created few batch files so that the entire process in automated. Stored all the scripts in c:\script\clone\ directory.+
I have taken the backup copy of password and spfile from prod server and copied to the development server in same location.
These are the scripts i run in order:

Having another session with system user will cause rman to throw this error. For example another session used to start up database in nomount mode still being active.
Duriing the cloning process the rman session needs to be exclusively connected to the auxiliary instance (no other session are allowed).

Not exactly iweb - need help with a graphic for my site

This doesn't fit anywhere so dumping it here. I drew by hand a graphic I want to use with iweb to put on my site as my site's logo. Main problem is that getting the background transparent isn't working well as when it was scanned the scanner didn't back the background "pure" white. I have tried adjusting the whitepoint and setting the color depth down, but still no good. I don't know a ton about graphic program use. I have an older copy of graphic converter that came on this powerbook when i got it. I would be fine having the graphic loose the marker look and have solid fill colors - just I am not good enough with computer drawing tools to do it on the computer! So I either need to get a volunteer to help me out, or some help with some detailed instructions to get this to work out... (also I am broke so no cost/shareware is only option here)

I have a cleaner copy now after someone suggested GIMP, so played with it last night - though couldn't figure out transparency - that was clear on converter- just not cooperative till these wonderful directions.
So now I know how to do it without messing with the pic, and with messing with it - both good lessons and got a bit brighter color out of the deal.

Need help with page sizes for EBay

Sorry as this is a beginners question but how do i set a layout so i can produce a product page that fits 4:3 and 16:9 at the same time when viewing on EBay with diffarent moniters. EBay is a whole different animal with some very strange code & other challenges. I recommend using their pre-built TEMPLATES. Download TurboLister2 software for setting up auctions. Templates are in the left hand column.

Need performance! - Need help with Server Architecture for SSAS on Azure VM

I would like to build 100% Azure VM base solution. We can install as many as needed.
I have large amount data in DW. (100GB-1000GB)
I would like to provide PowerView reports in SharePoints.
I would like to have report data be as real time as possible. (Min data is updated once in 2 hours)
These are requirements:
-SharePoint 2013
-PowerView
-SSAS OLAP Cube
-SQL Server DW&Staging DB (Currently DW&Staging on same server)
I need help specially what can be done with SSAS to meet requirements? Should be installed to own application server? Possible to install multiple SSAS? SSRS needs own server?
I appreciate also links to server topology diagrams.

I assume you mean 100GB-1000GB (not 1000TB) right?
For Sharepoint I would refer to the sizing guide for diagrams and sizing:

SSRS (and Power View) will run in the SharePoint farm on a SharePoint app server potentially with other SharePoint services.
I would definitely put SSAS on a dedicated server for a cube that size. Depending on how well your data compresses, there may not be a VM in Azure with enough RAM to put your model into a Tabular SSAS model. I would prototype it with a subset of data to see
how well it compresses. You can always use a Multidimensional model as a fallback.
Depending on how much processing the SSAS model impacts user queries (since it is happening during the day) you could build an SSAS processing server and a separate SSAS query server and run the XMLA Synchronize command to copy the cube incrementally from processing
to query servers.

Yes its true ...any SAP certification is never ever be the easy stuff...that could be easily achievable....

Need help with installing Windows for the bar exam

I need to retake the bar exam in Feb 2011 and I've decided to switch to typing. I am trying to figure out what Windows I need (the software says XP is fine but is that even available anymore)- so can someone walk me through this process? I've partioned my hard drive with the default 5GB but should it be more?
I'm looking at buying Windows- is XP okay or should I shell out for 7-i.e. is one more compatible with Macs?
And then finally, in the installation instructions they mention that I need my Mac OS disc for the process- is that the snow leopard disc or something else? My discs are in storage right now so should I wait until I get them before starting this process or can I get replacements if I accidentally threw them out in moving?
Sorry for all the questions, but well, I'm racing to get everything done and I want to make sure I don't crash my system halfway through the exam!

You don't need Boot Camp, but even XP will have a lot of stuff to update from after the install, and that takes temp space. Just as your Mac shows 5-10GB there is add'l hidden space used.
Apple's 'requirements' has gotten others in trouble and I was pretty sure it was more like 10GB. Plus a lot of XP discs are now SP3.
XP out of the box but connected to the net is just waiting for malware, average is 15 minutes to be infected. 7 is better and just in case you need it again.
System Builder can come in 32 or 64-bit but XP is 32-bit only.
VirtualBox by Oracle is a free VM.
1GB for one program actually seems like a lot, or is that RAM requirement?

Need help with user ID for this forum

I have problem that I can't seem to get resolved online which involves my Apple Support user ID... Sorry to post this here, but I don't know where to go for help.
I have been a member of the apple community for a long time (since 2002) but my login ID and user ID seem to have been disconnected. Happened when I tried to sign in once and had all kinds of problems. Now I've created a new user ID but would like my old one back. I've tried several times to get my original user ID back, but there seems to be no way to get it back... If I sign up for the user ID, it tells me that it is taken (because its mine).
Can you help me? Is there a real person I can contact who can help me?

Need help with smooth scrolling of a sprite

Hi All,
Something that i have had many problems over the years with
is creating the same nice smooth scrolling effect that i see on
many sites (my scrolling always appears jerky in AS2 even when done
on a movieClip with a high framerate - with onEnterFrame updates).
At the moment i am building my first AS3 site, and want to
use it as an opportunity to "do things right".
So far i have a very simple setup that is scrolling a sprite
that contains a series of loaded images based on the position of a
scrollbar. As one would expect from something this simple - it is
rather jerky.
I tried a number of variations of using a Tween to do the
scroll, and kill/update that tween when the mouse moves again.
However in all cases the results were not good (multiple tweens
seemed to still be active - so killing the tween wasn't working).
So clearly i am doing something wrong.
I have searched extensively, but have not come across any
examples that seem appropriate (some predefined components - but
that does not help me understand the fundamentals) . I have seen
some examples that register a timer, and manually calculate the
offset for each frame, is this the correct approach?
Below is my existing simple (jerky) implementation.
All help to understand how to make this scrolling smooth
would be hugely appreciated.
One more thing to add incase it is relevant, is that the
contents of the Sprite are a series of jpg images loaded with the
Loader class (although i plan on switching to using the BulkLoader
class created by a developer in the AS3 community).

nope. the approach for the smoothest tween would be to:
1. initialize your parameters
2. create your timer.
3. add your timer's listener method when needed (when your
slider is clicked).
4. in your timer's listener function repeatedly poll the
slider's position and update your sprite using the parameters
determined in 1.
5. remove your listener when the slider is released.

Need help with easy script for open / close app and move files

Hi,
I'm not a scripter.. never done anything special perhaps more complicated than /shutdown -s on cmd..
I actually learned ASCII C language on university but never used it in real.
I'm trying to create a basic script that perhaps you could help me or guide me how to do it..
The commands are
1) Close a running app (end task it or force kill it, I prefer end task it)
2) delete files from x location
3) run .exe app from y location
4) close that running app
5) move files from z to y
Perhaps adding few "wait few seconds" commands in between each, so the apps will launch successfully..
My first question will be whats the easiest script language to do that?
I tried VBScript but couldn't find commands for open or close apps.. also for controlling files..
And what commands can do that? I could google them up for better understanding no need for rough guide
And lastly, does it too hard? If it takes more than hour to make it (learn and process) than it ain't worth it..

hmm 2 questions:
1) taskkill.exe causing me access deny error.. I used "taskkill.exe /IM softwarename.exe"
how do I get permission or something to fix that?
2) on the "move" command..
First, its a "copy" instead.. but I easily figured that out..
but more important is that I want to copy a folder.. with unknown list of way too long files and sub folders..
and all I see is ability to move a file..
Is this possible?
