Need help with nokia 208

hi everyone!
My nokia 208 was easily connecting with pc suite. But since i've installed new windows sp3, it is not connecting at all. In add or remove programs options, all the drivers are available like nokia modem, pc connectivity cable driver.
But in the properties of nokia 208, 'device is not configured correctly' or sometimes 'no drivers found for this device' is mentioned.
Moreover, when i switch my mobile to 'sync and connect' mode, pc suite says 'nokia 208 dual sim connected in non-compatible usb mode.'.
But in modem mode it says 'connected in non-compatible mode'.
Please help me, its a matter of my future seriously...

I wish to install Hebrew on it but I can't find an appropriate firmware.
Does anyone knows if there's such version around the net?
Can I install the RM-948 instead? Will it support the Dual SIM function?
Is there an RM-956 version with Hebrew and if yes, can it be installed on this model (RM-949)???

The Dual-SIM version was specifically made for specific regions mainly for developing markets (esp in Asia-Pacific). Hence, language packs available are limited or made available only to those countries.

Need help with Nokia 6120 Classic

Hi Everybody,
I need help on how to delete or hide the detailed log on the phone. I can delete numbers from the recent calls list such as received, dialled and missed calls but the number still will appear on the detailed log. The only option I have on the detailed is to clear all logs which means all the numbers will be deleted.
I need help either to delete certain numbers from detailed log or how to hide it.
Hope to get some ideas.

cant be hidden unfortunatly only way for people that are no phone savy is delete call register if your worried about somebody going so far through your phone

Need help with Nokia 6233

Hello,
I had a nokia 6233 about December 2006 and had it for a year.
Had a Nokia N95 for a while and then wanted an iPhone, sold the N95 and carried on with my new iPhone which I got in July, which I'm pretty happy with. Until it breaks a week ago.
I now my old phone (6233) and have a question.
It is an Orange phone, which isn't unlocked, I have a 1GB microSD card in it, which I'd assume would merge with the phones useless memory. No. It doesn't. Orange had this stupid idea that installing a "Downloads" application which uses all the phones memory.
I send a text which is fine. I then recieve the reply, and I get a message telling me that the phone hasnt got enough memory to save the message so I need to delete something. All thats in the phones memory is the "Downloads" application. Now I have a problem. I can't delete the "Downloads" application because it's a system file. The memory card has memory but I cant save texts or anything on that I think. Unless theres a way I don't know?
Anyway, I was trying to find out if I can delete the Downloads application. Is it possible?

I am having the same problem and wanted to know if anybody has solved this. I have a 6233 with latest updates from nokia and trying to run latest opera, gmail, google maps. I am able to browse the web using the nokia software already on the phone and get the [G] sysbol at the top of the screen. A couple of things particular to my situation are I am in the US and the carrier I have ATT(formaly cingular) claims they do not support this phone. The programs have downladed and installed. But when I run them I get the packet data service first message. One funny thing is that my brother has the exact service plan I have and he is able to use all the above programs on his sony ericson w810i. This make me believe that my problem still lies in my setting somewhere.

Please do a search on this forum for "6280 software update" and you will have your answer.
Many people have written here about Nokia software updater that tries to flash their 6280 phones with V6.10 (intended for the 6288) and then breaks their phones.
I myself was busy downloading the firmware for a friends 6280 that was just minutes away from being flashed with 6.10 when I came across messages on many sites telling about the issue with the software updater and 6280 phones. I managed to save that 6280 from sure doom.
If you also searched before hand you would not have this trouble.
You need to take the phone to a nokia Service centre to have it flashed now and get it into a working state.

Need Help With Nokia N72 with 2Gb Memory???

I have Nokia N72 phone and just purchased 2gb memory. Somehow this phone does not recognize the 2bg memory. Anyone out here can help me, please. Do I need to update its firmware or what? I don't want to purchase another 1Gb memory. It may be not work either. I would like to use this 2gb memory; so that I can store more video and pictures. Hope to hear from someone soon with good recommendation on how to make it works.

Well, I can read it, so it's not that bad. What phone are we talking about? There're many more IM's e.g.Fring. Download with OVI store.

Need help with nokia PC suite..

Hi all,
Since I have updated my nokia pc suite to new version and installed windows 7 I have started having problems with transferring bigger (200mb>) files to my nokia n95 8gb, it always ends up with message that mobile phone stoped responding or something in that way, so does anyone knows what could be causing this?
I have 7.1.40.1 version of nokia pc suite btw.

I purchased a Nokia 7230 last week and i'm having problems with my text messages. If someone sends me a text at 9 a.m. the time in the message details shows up that I received it at 8 a.m. (it seems to be an hour earlier than i actually received it). I have set up the time, date etc. correctly. Can anyone help??

Need help with Nokia ovi suite v2.1.1.1 & nokia PC...

The problem is that whenever I put back the messages to my N79 using nokia ovi suite v2.1 or v2.1.1.1 or nokia PC Suite v7.1.40 using drag & drop , the messages are displaying in the last name then first name format, however it should be First name then Last name format as my contacts are already set to first name last name format
I had already tried updating phone software done by nokia care centre, hard reset, drag & drop, use different versions of ovi suite but nothing is working. So tell me which software is causing this problem. So plz help me in this problem
Is it a firmware problem or Is it a bug in nokia handsets or it's a international standard formatbecause if it's the 3rd case then make a fix for India because here people likes to have first name last name format.

Need help with Nokia PC Suite please

I have a Nokia 6230i and have always used Nokia PC Suite to transfer information. Last night I connected my phone to my computer as per usual (via DKU-5) and nothing happened. The [hone recognised it had been connected, but no phones were shown as connected on Nokia PC Suite. I tried uninstalling the phone drivers (and my computer recognised the phone on reconnect and installed them again) and re-installing PC Suite (two different versions).
How can I fix this? Thanks.

Hi Everyone!
I've bought Nokia 6230i phone with 512 Mb MMC card but it is impossible to load there any program - only music and videos. Is there any firmware (maybe not official) for this phone which can allow to load java programs on MMC card? Thanks before.

I know about this (that Pc suit allows to load prgs in phone memory). But does MMC card allow to do the same? As for me according to filesystem that is used there, it is possible. 1 Mb space, which allocated me to load programs is too small. Maybe you know how to use that 512 Mb which is on my MMC card?
And one more thing. Does anybody know how to load programs with PC Suite not only in Collection directory, but into Games?

Need Help With Nokia 6680

have a Nokia 6680 and it keeps turning of and back on by its self I have tried everything I have formatted it flashed it put the latest software in it but nothing helps and I even bought a new battery. Someone help me?????????

Did you try another SIM card (preferrably one that you know is working in some other phone)?
If other SIM cards fail, too, then the phones are broken (or blacklisted).
If other SIM cards work, then the first SIM card is broken (or you haven't paid the phone bill).

Need help with Nokia E5 Camera

Hi all,
i just bought my nokia e5 last week.
i realized that i cannot turn off the sound when i snap pictures with the camera.
i've gone to the settings, it only allows for changed between camera tone 1 to tone 4. No way to turn off the sound at all.
Turned the phone to silent mode, but the camera sound remains.
Does anyone know how i can get rid of that sound? (as it is quite irritating)

You could try to disable the "warning tones" in your current profile. On some models that will silence the camera, but it can also silence java based games or apps.
In many countries Nokia is forced to make it so that the camera sound cannot be disabled to comply with privacy laws. So if nothing works to silence it, that is the reason.

Yes...I have exactly the same issue. MP3 Player and Ringtones are played too quietly. I set the volume meter to max.
