Need help with paging in table layout

Hi
I am creating a basic table-form page with around 5000 rows in database table that needs to be displayed.
However what i see after creating the table form page and adding detail groups i loose paging in the table layout.
This is however undesirable.I cannot think of what is exactly making this happen there are no significant changes that i have made to the application.
If I could know what possibly is causing the change, help would be appreciated.
I can discuss this in detail.

Which version of JHeadstart are you using?
What do you mean with "i loose paging in the table layout"? Are the previous/next set and drop down list to select a range no longer displayed?
Can you reproduce this in the HR demo applcation?
If you remove the detail groups again, is pagination then working again.

Need help with Responsive HTML5 screen layout in RoboHelp HTML 11

I have a few questions/issues regarding screen layouts for Responsive HTML5 output in RoboHelp HTML 11.
First off, I decided to just use the Theme1_Standard layout that came with the program (only other default option was Theme2_Government) and started customizing the layout. I originally added a company logo to the 'Header' component in the Customization dialog, but have since decided to remove it. I can't seem to do this from the dialog, so I tried just deleting the image file from the whole project. The file is gone, but the logo is still there. This is only displayed in the header when a topic is displayed, it does not appear in the header at the TOC, Index, Search screen, etc. How do I get rid of this???
Secondly, the text in the header for the topic screens appears differently than the one on the screens for the TOC, Index, Search, etc. In the former of these, the header is displayed in maroon text in a much smaller font, similar to that used in the topics. In the latter, the topic is displayed based on what I configured in the Layout Customization dialog; much larger in white text on a black background. As a result of these issues with the Theme1_Standard layout, I'm trying to import a different Responsive HTML5 screen layout than the two provided within RoboHelp HTML 11 (Standard and Government). I did some digging in the program help and found another layout I'd like to use (Theme3_Black.zip) at RoboHelp screen profiles and layouts. I tried importing the new layout, but it's looking for a .SLZ file and the only one in the files that came with the ZIP file is SLZConfig.xml, and I don't think that's what I need, though quite honestly, I don't know.
I extracted the contents of the ZIP folder to a folder in the !ScreenLayout! folder within the RoboHelp project, but when I open the project, I don't see Theme3_Black as an option. I need to figure out how to import this screen layout because the color scheme matches the one used in the program for which I am writing the help. How do I import and apply this other screen layout???
Any tips, tricks, or guidance on any or all of these items would be GREATLY appreciated.

Item two of the original post is also something I am having issues with:

We have the text toggle between red, white and blue depending upon the topic selected. In the customize Selected Layout we have the title color set to white. It seems to think that it is a link and I would like to know how I can force the text to be white and to stay that way no matter which topic is selected.

Need help with calc from tables

I have a table that contains query #1 and have another table
that contains a field that needs to use the result of the cfset in
another calc.
The new calc in query #2 needs to divide the Num_Checks_Trans
from query #1 by the by the Weekly_Hours_Recorded in query #2.

This can be rewritten as a single query which is good for a
number of reasons, including we only make one trip to the database
and we do our calculations on the SQL backend, which is faster than
doing them in CFML.
What you're going to want to do is SUM() the total
transaction values by having a column like SUM(Num_Checks_Trans *
Value) AS totalTrans. To get the value for your other column you
can calculate that like Num_Checks_Trans / Weekly_Hours_Recorded. I
didn't see the latter in either of your queries so I'm not sure
where it comes from, but you can definitely use it in your SELECT
clause when calculating.
Since SUM() is an aggregate function, you'll have to use a
GROUP BY clause to make it work. You'll have to GROUP BY each
column in the SELECT statement. If some of the columns have
differing data that you won't want to use in the GROUP, you can
always use a nested subquery as part of your FROM clause and then
join that to the original queries with the totals.

I am trying to see if there is any way to add a table to a Crystal Report (using Crystal 10) that looks like a table you would create in MSWord. We need an easy way to remove and add columns in a table and right now using drawn lines and moving fields to realign every time is a real pain.

The table includes multiple rows and columns where the fields are from different places in the db. Also, the headers are just txt fields that do not associate with a specific field.
If I add a border to the fields, I still need to manually move them horizontally and vertically to realign if I add or delete a column or row. As you know in MSWord, if you add or remove a column or row in a table, the table automatically resizes itself and makes the fields line up correctly.
Is there any way to do this in Crystal?

Need help with InDesign CS2 table

How do you add multiple cells vertically to 1 row in a table? When I try to do this it add cells to the entire table. When I try to adjust them by clicking and dragging right or left, it moves all the other cells. I am using IDCS2

CS2 is a little primitive, but put your cursor in the cell you want to divide, then Table > Split Cell Vertically (or horizontally), which will divide it in half. Repeat as necessary. To adjust the dimensions of the split cells over the text tool over a divider until you see the double-headed arrow, then press the Shift key while dragging the divider.

Need help with Page Layout and Background Scaling

hello, everyone.
I am in the process of designing a new website for myself,
and while I was researching nicely designed pages to use as
inspiration, I stumbled upon this site:

incorporates a lot of web mechanics that I have been trying to
figure out, so I will use this page as an example.
one thing I need help with is backgrounds. as you can see in
the posted website, the creator used a seamlessly tiled paper
texture to display the bulk of his content on. also make not of the
pattern that is located to the left of the paper texture. how do I
create seamless backgrounds like this that will scale to fit any
amount of content or any resolution? I can't imagine that the guy
that made that site created a new size background every time he
made an update, so there has to be an easier way.
the second thing that I am having trouble with is general
site layout. I have read that most sites used series of invisible
tables to organize there content, but when I open the source of
this page in dreamweaver, he was using something different. div
tags? should I be using these? who do I use them? are there any
general layout tips that someone could pass on to me? perhaps a
link to a good tutorial?

So i need to know how to have SBO fullfil this requirement ?

Need help with show/hide and layers moving

I'm more of a designer, so I don't know code or CSS well at
all. I'm doing an online portfolio for a class and need help with
layers not staying in place in different browsers. The portfolio is
created with a table, but I wanted to use the show/hide function
for thumbnails of work. Are layers the only way you can use this
function? I read layers don't work well with tables, so how else
can I make it so when you mouse over a thumbnail, the larger image
appears in another cell?

Need help with trim and null function

Hi all,
I need help with a query. I use the trim function to get the first three characters of a string. How do I write my query so if a null value occurs in combination with my trim to say 'Null' in my results?

SELECT trim(SUBSTR(AL1.user_data_text,1,3)),NVL
(AL1.user_data_text,'XX')
FROM Table
I want the XX to appear in the same column as the
trim.The main thing you're doing wrong is not formatting your code. The solution may become obvious if you do.
What you're saying is:
SELECT trim ( SUBSTR (AL1.user_data_text, 1, 3))
,       NVL ( AL1.user_data_text, 'XX' )
FROM    Tablewhich makes it clear that you're SELECTing two columns, when you only want to have one.
If you want that column to be exactly like the first column you're currently SELECTing, except that when that column is NULL you want it to be 'XX', then you have to apply NVL to that column, like this:
SELECT NVL ( trim ( SUBSTR (AL1.user_data_text, 1, 3))
            , 'XX'
FROM    Table

Need help with conditional query

guys this is just an extension of this post that Frank was helping me with. im reposting because my requirements have changes slightly and im having a hell of a time trying to modify the query.

I need to find the greatest grant year for the grant by a period parameter.
once i find the greatest year i need to check the value of period 14 for that grant for the previous year and add it to the budget amount for that grant. however if their is an entry in the greatest year for period 00 then i need to ignore the period 14 of previous year and do this calculation current period +(current period - greatest year 00)
hope that makes sense so in other words with the new data above. if i was querying period two of grant year 11. i would end up with $800
because the greatest year is 11 it contains a period 0 with amount of $400 so my total should be
period 2 amount $ 600
period 0 amount $ 400 - period 2 amount of $600 = 200
600+200 = $800
if i query period 1 of grant 360055 i would just end up with 800 of grnt year 10.
i have tried to modify that query you supplied to me with no luck. I have tried for several day but im embarrased to say i just can get it to do what im trying to do .
can you please help me out.

Are you waying that, when the greatest year that has :given_period also has period='00' (or '0', or whatever you want to use), then you want to double the budget from the given_period (as well as subtract the budget from the '00', and not count the pevious year's '14')? If so, add another condition to the CASE statement which decides what you're SUMming:

Need help with Template - unbalanced #EndEditable tag

I am unable to use this template to create a new page and get the "unbalanced #EndEditable tag" error.
If I open the file independently it looks great - otherwise I get the error.

                              <p>The University of Massachusetts Amherst is leading a Commonwealth Alliance for Information Technology Education (CAITE) to design and carry out comprehensive programs that address under representation in information technology (IT) education and the workforce. CAITE will focus on women and minorities in groups that are underrepresented in the Massachusetts innovation economy; that is, economically, academically, and socially disadvantaged residents.</p>
                              <p>The project will pilot a series of outreach programs supported by educational pathways in three regions (one rural, one suburban, and one urban). The project will include work with high school teachers, staff, and counselors. CAITE will identify best practices and disseminate, deploy, extend and institutionalize these best practices statewide and nationally.</p>
                              <p>Community colleges are the centerpiece of CAITE because of the central role they play in reaching out to underserved populations and in serving as a gateway to careers and further higher education.</p>
