Need Help With Pantech Crux Touch Screen

I don't know if this is the right forum, 95% of the forums seem to be for billing or arbitray things. So, if this isn't please refer me to the correct place for this post.
I have had a Pantech Crux for about 6 months now. About three months ago, the touchscreen stopped working. A section right in the middle refused to allow me to press it. If you were looking at the keyboard, it is the RTYGH section of the phone. It clicks way off to the right, or refuses to click at all. Now, 3 months ago a friend made a suggestion that I wait until the battery died and just restarted. Once I did this, it worked fine, and I chocked the issue up to software.
Now, it has been plaguing me for three weeks, I have let my phone uncharge to zero, erased the entire thing and set the phone to factory settings, I have attempted to clean the screen using certified safe cleaner, all to no avail. What I need to know, from anyone, is A) is this a possible software fix that I can fix? B) if the screen is broken, how much am I looking at to get it fixed?
Honestly, I am beginning to think the pantech curx being listed at near 300.00 without a 2 year warranty is ludicrous and borderline highway robbery. I've enjoyed this phone for the last three months, but if this keeps up the temptation to literally rip it in half and go get a NET10 phone will be too much to withstand. Honestly, I can't text,  I can't use the calculator, or any programs. Any and all help would be most appreciated.

I am sorry to learn that your phone is not working properly; I would be frustrated if I had the issues outlined on your post with my phone. Since you have already done several troubleshooting steps including a factory reset, I would consider replacing the phone.     hi people
    i need to wake my ipod touch  5g, it accidentaly fall from my bed, but apparently no damage on the screen
    but it just turn off, the screen became black and its not answering, i tried to press the both botons at the same time, also charging but nothing seems to work
    ,when i plug it in to the mac it sound like it was charging but with no color on the screen
    what should i do?? i really appreciate your assistance

    Try:
    - iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
    - Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
    - Try on another computer
    - If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

  • I need help with my Ipod touch 4th restoring to factory settings

    I have posted several posting because I need help but somehow everybody seems to ignore the subject or they just don't want to go there. I wonder why.
    Anyways, I'm in critical bind. I still have iTune 10.7 running on my iMac 10.6. However, when I try to synch my Ipod to my Mac I get a message that I need to restore my Ipod to factory settings.
    The thing that I'd like to know if I restore to factory settings if I could select which verions iTune I could select. I have 10.7 installed and also have a copy in TM.
    I don't want to use iTune V.11

    I appreciate your input, but you still haven't told me how to restore the iPod w/o getting V. 11. So far for what I read it says that if I choose to restore back to factory settings that it will install the latest version of iTune. Is there any way that I can overide this? According to you, it sounds like I could but still you haven't share with me how to do it

    Here is the thing I have iTune 10 installed but when I tried to synch the iPod is when I get the message that I have to restore it to the factory setting. I'm willing to go along with it provided that I can select iTune 10.7. I have it installed in my backups.

    From headhones?

    Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
    All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.

  • Need help with my ipod touch 4th gen

    My name is whitney last year i bought a ipod touch 4th gen  . And everything was working fine until i had recently updated it to ios 5.0.1 .  Ihave internet connection and can view the browser but  when i try to view the app store it either keeps loading the page, or it says  cannot connect to itunes store or  the browser has timed out . I am getting very frustrated about this as last month my ipod was working fine with everything until i had updated it and  had to restore it and the problem still persists. And it wont let me verify my icloud account either it also times out and says verfification failed . If anyone out there can help me out i would appreciate it .

    First, try a system reset.  It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
    Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until the screen blacks out or you see the Apple logo.  Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears.  You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
    If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore.  Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset.  Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync.  From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab.  Follow directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup.  You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod.  Again, say "yes."

    My ipod touch is completely freezed! it show on the screen "Your ipod is stopped, Connect your ipod to iTunes" when I connect to iTunes it show this message "your ipod ... can not be connected to iTunes because it has a passcode, please enter the passcode and try to connect" but I have no access at all to anythin in my ipod!! I have tried to resetting it by pressing home button with wake/sleep button at the same time for more than 10sec but it did not work.
    Please, help me guys.

    Thank you lllaass. I have tried your suggestion but the problem is that wake/sleep button does work (it physicaly work) but does not dislay the switch off slide because of the displayed message!
    any other suggestion??

    I have the LG Cosmos touch and I was wondering about something........When you view your messages from a person it shows a little blank avatar next to every message. You can go to pictures and set a contact ID for any of your contacts and so in messages that little avatar will turn to that pic....So the recieved message is covered. But it shows sent messages with the little avatar next to it and wanted to put my pic on there and can not figure out how to do it.....PLEASE HELP Thanks !!!!

    I can certainly assist with adding your picture so that it shows up while messaging.  When accessing your contacts there should be one listed as "My Name Card."  Once you open this contact there will be an option to edit. At that point, you would add the picture as you would with any other contact. If you do not see "My Name Card" there may just be a contact with your name or one indicating it is for the owner.   • Need help with syncing my Touch to my comp

    I got my touch last week and tried to sync it to my computer...itunes wont recognize it so i updated itunes to the newest version then tried again..and still it wont recognize it...then i unistalled and tried again..still nothing...im Running windows xp pro...can anyone give me some help on how to get it to sync with itunes? it synced up just fine on my friends laptop...if anyone has experienced this or can help me plz let me know!

    i uninstalled everything to do with apple and reinstalled it...and still nothing...windows shows it in the dirvers list..but tahts it....anyone know how to get windows from recognizing it and let itunes recognize it?

  • Need help with my Zen Touch. I have no clue what's wro

    I downloaded some firmware a few weeks ago, and ever since then my Zen Touch hasn't been working properly. My current is version .0.03. As soon as I downloaded that my computer would not detect the player. When I plugged it in the USB I got three quick low pitched beeps, and then nothing. Since the player isn't connectng to my computer of course I can't transfer any music. I've tried to get it to connect a million times but it's always the same. I evn tried it on another computer so I'm guessing something's wrong with the player itself.

    my ipod touch does not show up  on itunes(devises)or charge on my laptop.i have windows 8 and this sight doesnt have a resolution for windows 8.it shows up on my file explorer(it has a ! next to it and says a program i downloaded is not allowing or resticting my ipod  from being reconized on my laptop.can some1 plz help me its drivn me crazy and ive tryd all the other solutions and none of it works.i have too charge it on my xbox and can not download any movies or music.Tnx!

    I would start with:
    Removing and reinstalling iTunes, QuickTime, and other software components for Windows Vista or Windows 7
    If you  have iTunes 11 turn on the Sidebar. Go to iTunes>View and click on Show Sidebar. You can also do a Crtl+S to show the sidebar. The sidebar is where Devices appears. and Control+B to show the Menu bar
    Also, connect to another computer to help determine if you have an iPod computer problem.

    Can anyone please direct me on what to do to solve the problem i have with my iphone screen caliberation. My center screen usually around 8 and 5 on keypad often presses without me touching it. just a slight move of finger it, it responds like its been touched. even though it corrects itself over a short period of time, it occurs again. now am stuck with what to do because the phone i  new and i  dont have a an apple center anywear near me.     Basic troubleshooting from the User's Guide is reset, restart, restore (first from backup then as new).  Has any of this been tried?

    Okay I have an ipod touch 4th gen and it is permanently disabled and I put it in restore mode connect it to
    the computer and close to the end of the recovery it just turns on and messes up the recovery. I've tried
    everything I know to do to fix it and it won't work. Does anyone know how to fix this. Also it is dented on the
    back, maybe something inside got messed up and is making it do this. i just need to know how to fix this.
