Need help with photo durations

I'm building an iMovie for iOS7 project, and need to import about 300 photos.
Is there a way to change the default duration (currently 5 seconds) for all the photos in the project?

Need help with Photo Stream

I am having issues with Photo Stream and iPhoto when the iPhoto library is stored on a Drobo NAS. When I access the library stored on the NAS I see Photo Stream on the menu and when I access the library I get a message that tells me I need to switch Photo Stream to this Library. I did select to switch Photo Stream over to this NAS library and I did get a big blue button that is suppose to start Photo Stream but when I push it nothing happens.
I have contacted Apple support and they said that this is the way Photo Stream works and recommended that I submit a request to have this feature added at Apple\Feedback, if it is something I would like to have. They said if enough people request this feature they will add it but that Photo Stream does not currently support an iPhoto library stored on a remote NAS or shared network drive.
My question is has anyone found a work around for this? If you would like to have this feature added to Photo Stream can you please submit your request to Apple so they will add it, perhaps a little sooner than later?

I checked today and this issue has been solved with the latest iPhoto update from Apple. I am running iPhoto 9.2.3 on my Snow Leopard Server which is sharing a Drobo NAS. I am also running iPhoto 9.2.3 on my MBP running Lion and I can now open my iPhoto Library and Photostream will work with the library and even automatically create events and move all my Photostream pictures into these events within the Library. I can then close the Library on my MBP and open the same Library from my Snow Leopard server and the new Events are there and I can move them around with no problem. Thank you Apple for this fix. Even though I cannot deal with Photostream directly from the Snow Leopard server this is a very eligant work around.

Need help with photo placement & sizing in iPhoto Calendar

I am in the process of creating a photo calendar for my wife for Xmas in iPhoto. Initially I just dragged and dropped most of the photos into the layouts I selected without any cropping or anything figuring that they would print out on the calendar exactly as they appeared on the screen. When I was almost all done I needed to crop a photo and in reading about how to do this I got nervous as the manual said iPhoto is not a WYSIWYG program.
My question is if you drag and drop photos into preselected photo layout (1, 2, 3, etc photos to a page without cropping is it safe to assume that they will appear on the final calendar just as they appear on the screen?

Yes, you should see what you see on the screen. However, to make sure all is as it should be, hold down the Option key and click on the Buy button. This will automatically put you is a create pdf file mode for the calendar at the same size as will be printed, 13 x 10.4 inches. You can check the pdf file to make sure all the photos appear as you want them and that all of the text is correct, typos, etc.

TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've created an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. It's compatible with iPhoto 08 libraries and Leopard. iPhoto does not have to be closed to run the application, just idle. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.

Need help with photo syncing

I am trying to help my mom with her iphone and picture question - having no iphone myself I am a little unsure of how to set up her phone. She wants to have her pictures on the phone sync or transfer to her pc when she connects without all of the pictures already on the pc transfer over. How should I set this up?
She has an iphone 4 and is using Windows XP. Thanks

How to import your photo's to your computer!
To do this, you require "autoplay" for a windows computer! If you do not have a pop up that says "autoplay" here is a link that explains how to enable it:

Need help with Photo editing

I just installed elements 11 and was trying to create a photo for my daughter for my daughter by combining two pictures but can not figure how to do it, She has one picture with her niece holding a hand held mirror and another with the face of a fly and I need to insert the fly into the mirror and size it correctly. This seems like a simple task but I'm having trouble merging the two photo's

Make sure that the layers palette is open in Editor, expert mode.
This is a 2 step process:
Open the picture with the fly. Use one of the selection tools, e.g. selection brush, lasso tool, to make a selection of the fly. When the selection is complete, you will see "marching ants" surrounding the fly.
Go to Edit menu>copy to place the fly on the clipboard.
Now open the picture with the mirror. Go to Edit menu>paste. The fly will be on its own layer. Get the move tool out of the toolbox, position the fly, and resize with the corner handles, if necessary.

New 5g touch need help with photo setting and..

Can someone help me pls. I'm sure anyone who has a 4g touch or iphone 5 or previous iphone can help. I'm coming from ipod touch 2g so a lot of this technology is foreign to me. Anyway, I accidentally synced my photo's from my computer onto my touch. I don't want thousands of pics on there. I can't seem to find a delete button for the albums on the touch. How do I delete them from my ipod? I have transferred pictured I've taken from the ipod to my computer, so I am not worried about deleting them. I have deleted individual pictures but thousands would take forever one by one. Also, I have set this ipod as a new device as I want to be particular about what is on it. So I didn't want to back up from my 2g. I've notice that when I synced and chose the game/apps I wanted on the device that they all reset. the games have deleted their save information and I have to start from scratch. Is this normal?

I think I might need a little clarification on your problem. But just to clarify, the iPod Touch nor the iPhone support synchronization over WiFi, they still have to be synchronized over a physical iPod cable. Are you trying to get both the iPod and the computer connected to the internet? Do you own a wireless router?

Need Help with Photo albums in iPhone 4s!!

Help! Just synced my new iphone 4s, but now I have three albums in my photos! Not only do I have the "camera roll," I also have "photo library, " and "internal storage." The internal storage album duplicated all my photos , so now they appear twice!!! Is this taking up a lot of "space" on my iPhone? I would love to get rid of the "internal storage" album, but don't know how. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Please, try "Photo Transfer WiFi" or "Sync Photos to Storage" from the App Store. Does it solves your problem?
I recommend you the second app. It allows you to send all your Camera Roll photos and videos to the desktop in one tap!

Need help with photo frame

Below is a quick frame I made to re-use on my photos, which I overlayed onto an image. I set the Blending Mode to Screen for the Frame Layer.
The problem I am having is that when I try to reverse the colors on the frame, so that the border is Black, I get a pile of garbage. The only part of the image that is visible is the area that should be hidden by the border, and the center of the image is white. If I make the frame within the context of the image, it works, but not if I make it from scratch.
What am I doing wrong?

If you followed the steps, just fill Layer 1 with black or any color that you want the frame.

Since installing a more current version of HP Photosmart, I'm having trouble printing photos in a custom size.
In the last version, I was able to create my own size photo to print... in this new version, I don't see how to do that.
Is this updated version unable to support my request??

Need help with Photo Shop CS4

Hi,
I still have not received an answer so I attached a docutment if that helps. I am suppose to draw the diagram in paths and not each shape on a different layer. My issue is that I can't fill the path with black for some reason. am doing an assignment for school. I'm suppose to create a image using the Pen tool and Shape Layer tool using the Working Path. I am suppose to save one selection from the paths and fill in image with a black hue fill. I have tried saving the working path and tried to fill with black. I did a practice by drawing only a portion of the image. I saved it as a working path and selected fill and I get the promp to fill. Then I hit okay and nothing happens to the image filling in with black. I'm doing something wrong and am fusterated. Any ideas. Your help is appreciated.

Need help with Photo Elements 11.0

I own Photo Elements 11.0 but can no longer use it. When I try to open Organizer, I keep getting an error message telling me that my license has expired. If instead I try to open Editor, I get an error message telling me that my pictures Library is not working. WTF is going on??

I have tried this. I downloaded the LicenseRecovery109.zip program and hit “Save.” I then downloaded WinZip. But when I open WinZip and try to find the LicenseRecovery109.zip file, it keeps telling me the file does not exist. Please help. This is ridiculous that I have to go through this for a program I paid for.

Need help with photo scanning

My iMac scans just fine but it only shows a part of the 8 x 10 pix I'm trying to scan. On the preview window on the printer, it shows it's scannng the whole thing, though. How do I adjust?

Need help with Photo attachment

Will try to describe as best I can.
When writing an email and then I want to attach a photo. I click "attach", it opens a window that shows "Desktop, Applications,Picutures, Documents etc.". When I go to the Pictures, then IPHOTO it does not open any Events or photos at all. I can go to IPHOTO and cut and paste onto the email but I would like to attach from that window on Mail. Something like attaching a document. When I open Documents, it opens all m folders and documents that are availble to attach. Thanks

This is due to the iPhoto Library being shown as one single file in the Finder. If you really want to use this attach-method you have to save the photo somewhere else (i.e. your Desktop) first. To do this open iPhoto and drag the desired image to the Desktop. You can then drag it into your mail compose window or use the attach button in Mail. You can use the Mail icon inside iPhoto to save a few steps, too. Here's another one: Simply drag a photo from anywhere onto the Mail icon in the Dock.
