Need help with post-installation

Hello,
I just installed APEX 3.0 over Oracle 10g on windows. Do I need to install http server and configure the port etc or can I just enable the embedded plsql gateway by running apex_epg_config11? any help is appreciated.

Please tell us your first name. It's easier that way.
The embedded pl/sql gateway will be officially supported only with the next – 11g – database version, so for now you should install and configure the HTTP server.
Having said that, if you can't wait for the next db version, and you think that the embeded pl/sql gateway is the preferred solution for you, the following might help you - http://wiki.shellprompt.net/bin/view/Apex/XmlDbHttpServer .

I have installed Java PDK 6.9 instead of 6.2.
At the post-installation steps I need to:

Hey Aviad,
Yes I did, in my case I've installed PDK SP 9 over SP2 which is prohibited. If this is your case as well do the following:
1) From the Undeployment tab of the SDM select the com.sap.pct.pdk..
components.
2) Using the Archive remover tool which can be accessed from
System Administration > Support > Portal Runtime > Administration
Console > Archive Remover --> Remove the portal applications with prefixcom.sap.pct.pdk...
3) Navigate to Content Administration > Portal content > Content
Provided by SAP > Platform Add-Ons > Developer Content
and remove all the contents below this folder.
4) Restart the server
After this you can deploy the SP9 business package using the SDM.

Tecra R840 - Need help with SSD installation

Hello,
sorry again, but I really need some help with this?
My new ssd (arriving in a couple of days) is a Plextor M5P which is 7mm thick! My Tecra R840-16J have a 9.5 mm thick hdd and for what I saw there is no caddy!
I would appreciate all the tips to install the ssd in my Tecra!

As far as I know some models are offered with HDD and some with SSD these models offered with SSD have small SSD holder. SSD is fixed with 4 screws into this holder.
I really dont know how to help you now. Maybe you should contact nearest Toshiba service provider and ask for help. I think they can check part number of this holder or maybe order one for you.

Need help with drive installation for K9N2 SLI Platinum

The board set up fine, but I can’t figure out how to install my drives. The MSI directions are the worse I’ve ever seen, or should I say non-existent. They don’t even describe the bios entries… I am familiar with the bios, but don’t know all the settings for the board. I set the time and date and had to rearrange my drive placement on the board to have my 2 DVD drives show up on the secondary IDE Channel instead of the primary IDE. The Western Digital 200MB7200 ATA133 is on the primary master IDE. I’m old fashioned so I still use FDISK to erase the old OS and partition the drive… I couldn’t see my SATA drive in FDISK even though I could see it in the bios. Now I want my Western Digital 500GB 7200RPM 16MB SATA II HARD DRIVE to be the system drive and the Western Digital 200MB7200 ATA133 to be a slave drive. My previous boards had raid but I just used them as additional slave drives.
My goals: I want to have redundancy for my personal audio/video and my work. I will use the 2 Seagate 7200.11 ST3500320AS 500GB SATA drives for that.
I also want 2 additional drives not purchased yet for my other data storage needs and for games
My questions are:
Can I use the SATA drive as the system drive if a drive is connected to the primary IDE?
How do I set up Raid on this board? I actually want to use its capabilities this time.
Does this board present any special problems with dual booting XP sp2 and Vista 64bit.
If I put another set of Corsair XMS2 TWIN2X4096-6400C5 in anticipation of installing Vista 64bit will this cause a problem other than windows XP not seeing the additional memory.
Is there additional documentation for this board somewhere?
Please help…I have been working on this thing for 4 days straight. My last build took 2 hours not including software installation. Hope I stated everything you need to know. Thanks in advance

Advice no. 1 will be not to have everything connected at once. Have the chosen SATA and one of the DVD:s connected and install Windows. (Windows can only boot from bootable devices. It "jumps" all un-bootable.) Once you have a successful boot and happy with it, remove other things from the boot-sequence.

Need help with epm installation

I´m triying to install EPM 11.1.1.3 with essbase, hyperion planning, profitability and cost, smart view and financial reporting in a virtual machine with windows server 2003. I´m unable to do it because i get errors. I don´t know what to do. Someone can help me?

Need help with 'post link to facebook' button in php

hi guys,
thanks for the interest in my post...
i want to have a button at the bottom of my main page layout (main.php) of the facebook logo where visitors can click on it to submit the page as a link to facebook.
how can i set the button so it will post the link to whichever page the visitor is viewing i.e. when they are reading a news article the button action will post main.php?id=news and when they are on home, main.php?id=home.

if you bought laptop from local store then you can just go to local store and RMA it there they will then pack it in and send it away to a MSI service in your country or maybe nearby country that can do repairs.

Need help with Post Process Event

Hi all:
I need to implement user login generation thru a post process event. I read lots of posts about this and followed the steps described. So this is what I did:
- Created a java class that implements PostProcessHandler and implemented the execute method. I added in both execute methods (EventResult and BulkEventResult) a statement to log message to a tmp file.
- Created the plugin.xml
- create a zip file with class and plugin.xml.
- Put zip file in plugins directory.
- Registered the plugin.
- Created the EventHandler.xml file to define the postprocess event on User Entity CREATE operation.
- Imported the Event metadata.
Everything went well. Until I ran a reconciliation, and nothing is being called.
Am I missing any steps?? I read that people successfully implemented this. Is there something I should do for lib folder or classpath...

I think this is what I am missing.
I created my EventHandlers.xml in a temp folder with a space name:
The temp folder: /tmp
and under tmp folder I have the following:
/metadata/user/custom/CustomPostProcessEvent/EventHandlers.xml
I am going to change the EventHandlers.xml location:
keep /tmp directory but
Remove the metadata tree
and create /db/EventHandlers.xml

I need help with my installation

So I get the Disk for OS X 10.4. And installed it and everything has worked fine up to after the restart. Now it is asking for my serial number and yet when i enter it, it was it has expired or the server time is incorrect, yet i can't do anything about. And i can't use my computer anymore because it always loads up to this screen. Please anyone help me. i don't wanna go out and buy another Cd

We will need more information to offer much help. What Mac do you have? What kind of "Disk for OS X 10.4" do you have? (Is it a black retail DVD or something else?)
What kind of installation did you do (Archive & Install, Erase & Install, Upgrade, etc.)?
Is an app asking for your serial number & if so, which one? (Look at the name to the right of the blue Apple menu.) Same question for server time.
As many details as you can provide about what you see after a restart will help, like can you log into an account, etc.

Need help with new installation

Hi, I'm having trouble getting past the first step installing my AE with an existing Linksys wireless router.
I was able to connect via ethernet cable to Linksys box and got a steady green light.
I was able to see AE as availble, connected, wireless network via Windows network connections.
I was able to see AE as an availble base station in Aiport Assistant, but NOT able to get past the first step. Once selected - comes back and says not an available base station...and also NOT able to see AE via the Airport Admin utility...tried to rescan, but nothing appears in the list to configure. Any ideas?
Sorry if this is basic, but I'm a newbie.
Please let me know if any additional info is needed.

your Linksys router will provide an IP address like 192.168.x.x to your Airport Express BS when connected using a wire. Airport Admin and Airport Assistant will only scan for 10.0.x.x IP address (AE default setting is 10.0.0.1), that is why you can not set it up using AAU / assistant.
-> unplug your airport BS, reset it, configure it using AAU (Airport Admin Utility):
*internet tab: connect using "ethernet", configure "using DHCP"
Apply settings and plug ethernet cable back in to the airport express BS. Should be better
more info:
- a MAC access control can prevent your BS to connect properly, more info in your linksys router manual. check your linksys router settings (plug it in to your computer and connect to 192.168.1.1 to access your router settings)
- double check that "distribute IP address" is NOT ticked in the network tab of AAU
- can be usefull to change network name in network tab of AAU to the name of your existing linksys network

Need help with WRT54G installation

I just replaced a BEFSR41 with a WRT54G v.8, and came across an installation problem. I had no problem manually installing the BEFSR41 by following the Start Fast instruction. Since the WRT54G didn't come with a Start Fast document, I used the CD instead. After connecting the router to the PC (winXP), and the modem to the router, I kept getting a message about not being able to connect to the Internet. But in fact I was connected, and could access the Net fine. Is there something need fixing? Perhaps another factory reset? A few other questions:
- When I tried to print the settings, I was asked to install a printer. But I already have three printers installed. How can I print or save the settings?
- After exiting setup, browsing 192.168.1.1 showed a blank page. ZoneAlarm was disabled, and all other pages worked fine. What is going on?
- My firmware version is 8.00.2. Should I upgrade it.
Once I get these resolved, I have some very interesting speed test data to share.

Update. After factory reset and firmware upgrade, I followed the manual installation suggested in the archive here:

I need help with the installation of my new SSD... PLEASE HELP

Recently I purchased a Samsung 840 EVO SSD for my Late 2011 MacBook Pro. I removed the optical drive from my device and repositioned the original HDD into an optical drive caddy and added my SSD where the HDD was originally.
What I now want to do is reinstall OS X 10.9.1 onto my SSD which is named "Samsung SSD". I have backed up my computer using Time Machine. I restarted my computer and held down CMD+R and clicked on the prompt to reinstall OSX onto my new SSD. About an hour after it started reinstalling it said it could not as the device was damaged... it is brand new and was treated very carefully, i am certain it is not damaged. Am I doing something wrong????? PLEASE HELP

Need help with Tomcat installation

I am trying to install Tomcat version 5 on Windows 98 machine. I set the environment variables by opening system configuration utility (i.e., running msconfig) -AutoExec.bat then NEW and I typed the path to CANTALINA_HOME . But, still I am getting error saying that CANTALINA_HOME environmnet variable is not properly. Can anybody please help me???

It might be better to test video in a plain, unstyled web page first to ascertain exactly where your problems are.
