I recently had a kernel panic in which I think my hard drive only had so much space left after I ran a bunch of drivers I thought I needed. I uninstalled all and moved files. For some odd reason I'm not getting sound of of my hdtv/monitor.HELP? I uninstalled all the drives and apps I download. I moived files either to trash if not needed, and others to other external drives. I went into disk utility and did a repair disk permission and verify disk. Clean out junk files. Now my hdtv/monitor does not give me any sound, nor does my mac mini. Can someone please tell me what to do?

    What drivers?

  • I have i mac system, need all drivers for windows?

I have I Mac system and i installed windows vista ultimate edition, i require all drivers for windows vista

It is installed (I installed Windows....)
Everything you need to know was in Boot Camp Assistant, the drivers are on OS X DVD (while in Windows)
    HERE:
http://www.apple.com/support/bootcamp has FAQ How To Manual articles and updates for AFTER yu have Boot Camp 3.0 installed
If you bother to read the instructions first would save you and us a lot of repeating.
You also want Microsoft Security Essentials Vista SP2+ (Windows 7 64-bit would be better and supported) and make sure you have about 15-20GB free space on Windows. All the updates will eat up 10GB of temp space, plus page and other items

  • Lost all drivers after format - Pavilion G4-2368la

Hi and good evening, I am hoping to get some support.
    Product name: Pavilion G4-2368la // c7b30la#abm
This laptop came with Windows 8 by default. when i upgraded to windos 8.1 I started to have system crashes.
A friend of mine said he could help and offered to format it and install Windows 7, which I didnt think it was that bad since I was more inclined to use that OS.
He isntalled Windows Ultimate 64Bit from the CD i had from my old PC
After the format we noticed all drivers were gone, including USB and ethernet controller, I have the downloaded drivers, but since the laptop is not recognizing the usb stick I am clueless on how to make it work!
    Please help

    Hi:
You can't use the USB 3.0 ports since you don't have the USB 3.0 drivers installed.
You need to use the USB 2.0 port to read files from the flash drive until you get the usb 3 drivers installed (or as ericpol911 stated, burn them to a CD).
For the drivers, you should be able to use most of the W7 x64 drivers from this model at the link below.
Your model uses the Intel HD graphics driver only. You will find the usb 3.0 drivers under the chipset section.
DO NOT USE ANY BIOS OR FIRMWARE DOWNLOADS FROM THIS LINK

    Hi
I assume you need drivers for the XP OS. Am I right???
On the Toshiba driver page you will find all necessary drivers and utilities for Portg M300.
There you will find also the installation instruction document. This document shows the right installation order.
You should simply download all drivers and follow the installation order. Thats all

  • Why do I need to keep resetting MIDI drivers in Logic 9.1.1?

I went from Logic 9.1 to Logic 9.1.1 last week and since doing that I keep on losing my MIDI connection. This never happened to me in Logic 9.1. But now in Logic 9.1.1, in the middle of working or any time I come back to the computer after a while I will need to reset the MIDI Drivers in order to get any MIDI back for my master controller. I get no error messages. The MIDI just doesn't show up until I reset the driver. I am using the Unitor interface for MIDI and have the recent Unitor update. Any thoughts on this matter are appreciated.

It's not a Logic problem. I don't think it's a driver problem either, I think it's an OS X problem. This happens to me with other DAWs (different MIDI interface, though). Open up the "Audio MIDI Setup.app" and see if your interface is dimmed when this happens. Clicking "rescan" should enable it again.
I have heard of several people with this problem (not all using Logic), from RME to E-Mu to Presonus, and others. The only thing they all had in common was that they were all USB interfaces.

  • Want All Drivers for Compaq 15-s005TX Notebook PC for Windows 7 32 Bit

I Want All Drivers for Compaq 15-s005TX Notebook PC for Windows 7 32 Bit

    Hi:
Try the W7 32 bit drivers and software from the HP Probook 450 g2 except the BIOS and firmware files.
    http://h20564.www2.hp.com/hpsc/swd/public/readIndex?sp4ts.oid=6943827&swLangOid=8&swEnvOid=4053
There is no W7 32 bit HP graphics driver for the nVidia 820M graphics, so try the one directly from Nvidia.
    http://www.nvidia.com/download/driverResults.aspx/83820/en-us
You will need to install the Intel HD graphics driver first and reboot before installing the nVidia graphics driver.

  • I bought Hp 15 g207ax, 2 out of 3 usb not working, and all drivers missing, no ethernet or no wifi

    i bought a new Hp 15 G207AX.
    issue 1 - 2 out of 3 usb not working, 1 usb 3.0 and 1 usb2.0 not working. 1 usb 2.0 is working properly
question 1- is it because of faulty laptop or driver issue? also, if it is driver issue, then why 1 usb 2.0 is working?
issue 2 - All Drivers are missing.
question 2 - where can i find all the drivers?
issue 3 - no ethernet and no wifi connecting
question 3 - is there a driver for ethernet too? can you tell me what drivers i need to install for ethernet or wifi. because without those, i cant do anything?
looking for your immediate reply. as if in 1st question, if usb ports are defective and laptop is faulty, i will ask for a replacement or refund.

Likely all of these issues would be fixed with the chipset driver.
Did you look at the solutions listed in that other forum post I linked to above?

  • After installing Mountain Lion, do I then need to re-install all other programmes, such as adobe suite?

I'm worried that I would have to reinstall everything, as it took me forever to do it the first time round!!!!
I'm sure apple are smarter than that, but thought I'd double check before I upgraded...
    Cheers in advance
    Lynsey

    The short answer is no.
The long answer is that you need to make sure all apps
are compatible with Mountain Lion.  If your current OSX
is 10.6.x, you need to make sure that none of your apps
are still PPC based as emuation for PPC apps was dropped
    in OSX 10.7 and 10.8.
Also, you should also make sure that any hardware you have
that required the installation of drivers have the latest  driver
version installed and also that the drivers are 10.8 compatible.
If upgrading from 10.7.x and all was working well with it, then
most of the above mentioned should not be an issue but should
    check anyway.
Also, be sure to backup any and all data that is important (cloning
current system to external drive would be ideal) as anything can
    go wrong.

  • Performance degradation. Need advice on starting all over again.

I have never formatted my drive or reinstalled my OS X like I used to do with XP during the windows days. Now there is some performance degradation and opening of applications like Safari, iPhoto and others is really slow. I maintain Time Machine backups of my full Snow Leopard partition. What should I do? Format the HD, re install SL, or simply restore from TM or reinstall and then restore...?
I dont really want to carry my windows attitude to mac, of reformatting, reinstalling and then starting all apps from scratch. I wanna leverage out of my TM backup. Please advice.

Those steps, repair permissions? only checks the installed application receipts -- worthless.
Disk Utility doesn't check for bad blocks, and Apple First Aid misses and doesn't fix directory problems that are picked up by 3rd party tools like Disk Warrior.
The hatter's comments do not represent a consensus of opinion about this & are at least partially misleading.
Permissions repairs are indeed limited to comparing receipt info to actual permissions settings, but that is hardly worthless. It is well documented that mis-set permissions will cause a number of problems & resetting them to receipts values is an effective cure for those specific problems. Obviously, that won't cure problems with other causes, but since there is no magic cure-all it would be foolish to expect it to behave like one.
Regarding Disk Utility, it is true that it can't repair certain problems that some 3rd party utilities can; however, it is very effective at identifying file system problems, including those for some file systems the 3rd party apps do not support. It is also the most conservative disk utility available, designed not to attempt any repair that could result in loss of data. This is one reason it isn't as powerful as the 3rd party ones -- it is best to use it first if you suspect you have file system problems & use the more powerful ones only when necessary.
To be fair, Disk Warrior includes a directory optimization function that Disk Utility doesn't. However, an "unoptimized" directory isn't a problem in & of itself, & it is debatable how much real world benefit there is to optimizing the directory, at least with the current OS & modern high performance drives. I used to see noticeable improvements by periodically using Disk Warrior with OS 9 & the drives of that era, but these days my Macs & Snow Leopard seem to do just fine without it.
Basically, it is simple: use the tool that best does what you need to do. There is no benefit from using a sledge hammer when a tack hammer will do; in fact, the sledge hammer may do more harm than good, or just wear you out for no good reason. Also consider the wisdom of the old saying that to a hammer everything looks like a nail. Sometimes, you don't need a tool at all, just the wisdom to know that you don't.
Regarding bad sectors, every drive has them. That is not a concern by itself but the drive suddenly developing new ones is a sure sign of serious problems. Drives keep track of this themselves. Utilities provide a way to query the drives about this & may provide early warning of impending failure, but since the drive is providing the info this is not 100% reliable. For this reason, whether you use one or not, it is extremely important to backup your important data to other devices regularly & often.
