Need info on AP Invoice Interface.

Hi,
Is there any validation on PO UOM and INV UOM in Standard AP Invoice Interface before it update the base tables?
I am getting UOM mismatch latter in the system , not on the time for importing.

Need info, How Leads are interfaced from Marketing

Hi,
I have been working in Oracle Marketing.. I have created Campaigns/Campaigns Schedule and then its activated.
Now I need to know at what time the leads are generated... and how these are transfered/imported to Sales Module.
I have seen that if the Channel is Sales in Campaign schedule its directly fires Lead Import Conc. Program but in case of Web Ad or Email Campaign not able to generate leads and import them into Sales.
Please Help.

Hi Tauseef,
You do not create Leads in Marketing. This is Sales functionality. Or in Marketing you can import Lead and associate it to a Active Source Code and also a Salesperson. This way when the Sales person logs in - he/she can see the Leads assigned to him/her on the homepage.

I have high priority issue.
I need to cancel a RMA with Credit Only which has header status Booked and it has two lines which has Awaiting Invoice Interface Status.
Now my user wants to cancel this RMA.
Could anyone can help me how to cancel this RMA or else we have any API to cancel this RMA.

Need info on Billing Outputs

Hello,
I need info abt billing Outputs - The language is maintained in Bill to party (Customer master), Its maintained in Condition record, It can be changed while creating the invoice.
Now my question is, which of the above three cases has got highest priority.
Could some one provide me some info on this?

By default, we will maintain language in Bill-to-Party & also Condition record. But if required, it can be chaged at Invoicing level while taking output. Priority will be Bill-to-party, followed by Condition Record.

Want to configure Oracle EDI Gateway for Inbound Invoice Interface

Hello,
Newbie to Oracle Apps and want to configure Oracle EDI Gateway for Inbound Invoice Interface. We are having Oracle EBS R12 installed on OEL 5.6
Do i need to install EDI Gateway or it comes with APPS R12 installation ? if i have to install it explicitly then which EDI version i have to install ? what are steps should i follow to achieve desired results.
One more query, we are having old version of Oracle APPS 6i too, is it possible to configure Oracle EDI Gateway on it ??

BADIs
Business add-ins are enhancements to the standard version of the system.
Business Add-In is a new SAP enhancement technique based on ABAP Objects.
They can be inserted into the SAP system based on specific user requirements.
Each Business Add-In has:
at least one Business Add-In definition
a Business Add-In interface
a Business Add-In class that implements the interface
In order to enhance a program, a Business Add-In must first be defined
Subsequently two classes are automatically generated:
An interface with IF_EX_ inserted between the first and second characters of the BADI name.
An adapter class with CL_EX_ inserted between the first and second characters of the BADI name.
The Application developer creates an interface for this Add-In.
There are multiple ways of searching for BADI.
Finding BADI Using CL_EXITHANDLER=>GET_INSTANCE
Finding BADI Using SQL Trace (TCODE-ST05).
Finding BADI Using Repository Information System (TCODE- SE84).
1. Go to the Transaction, for which we want to find the BADI, take the example of Transaction VD02. Click on System->Status. Double click on the program name. Once inside the program search for CL_EXITHANDLER=>GET_INSTANCE.
Make sure the radio button In main program is checked. A list of all the programs with call to the BADIs will be listed.
The export parameter EXIT_NAME for the method GET_INSTANCE of class CL_EXITHANDLER will have the user exit assigned to it. The changing parameter INSTANCE will have the interface assigned to it. Double click on the method to enter the source code.Definition of Instance would give you the Interface name.
2. Start transaction ST05 (Performance Analysis).
Set flag field "Buffer trace"
Remark: We need to trace also the buffer calls, because BADI database tables are buffered. (Especially view V_EXT_IMP and V_EXT_ACT)
Push the button "Activate Trace". Start transaction VA02 in a new GUI session. Go back to the Performance trace session.
Push the button "Deactivate Trace".
Push the button "Display Trace".
The popup screen "Set Restrictions for Displaying Trace" appears.
Now, filter the trace on Objects:
V_EXT_IMP
V_EXT_ACT
Push button "Multiple selections" button behind field Objects
Fill: V_EXT_IMP and V_EXT_ACT
All the interface class names of view V_EXT_IMP start with IF_EX_. This is the standard SAP prefix for BADI class interfaces. The BADI name is after the IF_EX_.
So the BADI name of IF_EX_CUSTOMER_ADD_DATA is CUSTOMER_ADD_DATA
3. Go to Maintain Transaction (TCODE- SE93).
Enter the Transaction VD02 for which you want to find BADI.
Click on the Display push buttons.
Get the Package Name. (Package VS in this case)
Go to TCode: SE84->Enhancements->Business Add-inns->Definition
Enter the Package Name and Execute.
Here you get a list of all the Enhancement BADIs for the given package MB.

DEFINING THE BADI
1) execute Tcode SE18.
2) Specify a definition Name : ZBADI_SPFLI
3) Press create
4) Choose the attribute tab. Specify short desc for badi.. and specify the type :
multiple use.
5) Choose the interface tab
6) Specify interface name: ZIF_EX_BADI_SPFLI and save.
7) Dbl clk on interface name to start class builder . specify a method name (name,
level, desc).

Can I bring in Invoice Memo Text using Invoice Interface Tables?

Is there's a way to bring in Memo Lines using Invoice Interface tables. I got a need of converting around 5000 characters from legacy system to Oracle into Multiple Memo lines. I know that each memo line at the invoice level has 2000 character limit.
Please advise.

If I understood properly, you can use AR_MEMO_LINES_PKG.INSERT_ROW to inset to rows to AR_MEMO_LINES_ALL_B.
In RA_INTERFACE_LINES_ALL, column MEMO_LINE_ID is used to import this reference.

I need to Develop AP Expense Invoice Interface for uploading all expense (Travel Claims) invoice vouchers from a legacy Application in to Oracle Applications(Base tables are Ap_expense_report_lines_all,Ap_expense_report_headers_all).I searched for Interface tables but didn't find one ,do we have any table for this or do we need to go for APIs ,if anyone of u know about Interface tables or APIs please post me a message.

Can u use purchasing API interface tables at all for this interface? i think there r some API interface tabkes avaiable for the interface there - or interface direct to gl usig gl_interface API interface table - or maybe implement oracle intrnet expenses for user interfaces and APIs available - many possible interface table, user interface and API available here

Need to convert AP Invoice Aging Report in Excel format

Hi,
Need to convert AP Invoice Aging Report in excel format..there was an existing Invoice Aging report in AP and that was in paper format. That we need to convert to rtf template..
There was an other concurrent program called 'Invoice Aging Report (XML) - Reserveed for future use', when i am using that rtf template..to get the report output it was taking more than 1 hr time.
1)Is there any way/patch to get that XML report to be used in 12.1.3 EBS version
2) is there any other way to get the report output faster.

Hi,
When submitting the request, you may change the output to Excel and get the output in Excel. Otherwise as you mention if you getting the output in text format, you may download the text format and open the document in excel and use the delimitation to format in excel as per your requirement.

Is your statistics up to date, when did you last run gather schema statistics program in Sysadmin responsibility.
Also what is the record quantity that you are expecting here? Is date range parameter available in the report and if yes, did you try running the report for a day to check the output.

Payable Invoice Interface / ap_invoice_distributions_all

Hi,
We have come across an issue in R12 with the payables open invoice interface; when you interface invoices into payables no corresponding records are created on the ap_invoice_distributions_all table, as a result when you run Invoice Validation it errors. Having run the validation process, when you query the distributions table again records now exist, and this time when the validation process is run it completes with no error.
I have an open SR for this, but am interested if anyone has come across this problem before?

Hi Phi,
As yet we have not received a fix from Oracle, however I have found what I think is the cause of the issue and we do have a work around.
The invoices we were importing did not have manual tax lines, and the calc_tax_during_import_flag on ap_invoices_interface was NOT set to ‘Y’, this meant that the validation program was calculating the tax (we are using eTax) when it was run – and for some reason was falling over.
By setting the calc_tax_during_import_flag to ‘Y’ the tax lines are generated as the invoice is imported into AP and then we do not get any errors when running the validation.

We wont use the Win 8.1 Product Key - We will Purchase new Windows 8.1 License for the fourth PC but install our copy of Win XP on the machine (we have only 3 License that we used for the older 3 machines).
Carey's reply only speaks to the technical aspects of installing a dual boot environment. It says nothing about licensing which is what I think you are asking about. I do not believe that you can purchase a Windows 8.1 License and apply it to a
Windows XP install. You need to enter in the Product Key when the OS is installed and I seriously doubt that the XP install will accept the 8.1 Key. If you don't have a 4th key for XP you won't be able to have a legal copy installed.

Hey I installed the planning 9.3.1 and also I created the application name, using planning address. but the problem is I am unable to navigate through workspace. I am getting three dialog boxes....
" invalid or could not find module configuration"
"Required application module hyperioin planning app wizard is not configured.please contact your administrator"
" Communication error"
I'm able to see the application name in projects of shared services. Can any one face the same situation , and also I need info regarding how to initialize modules of capx and wfp.

If you did a standard install then it should be running on port 19000 as well.
I take it workspace is working fine on port 19000

^ this will be your workspace servername..
When you run the configuration utility for Reporting and Analysis and the section "Configure Web Server", this is where you set up the Apache Server for workspace, there is an option for "Planning", this should be ticked and the correct planning server entered as it will default to the workspace server.
The apache server redirects requests on the standard workspace port 19000 to the correct server and port, so for planning it redirects to the planning server and port 8300.
