Need info on Product interchangeability in SNP using Optimizer and Heuristi

Can anyone suggest steps to configure product interchangeability in SNP using Optimizer and Heuristics
we have a scenario for 1:1 config of predecessor and succesor product , same Units, across locations using Full and Forward directions for some combiantions of products.
I would like to know prerequsites to configure this setup and any good links that lead to config steps.

Need info about production business content to use.

I am currently using 2LIS_04_P_MATNR to get details of production order. This data source gives me the details of total quantity produced on the final posting date (ie. the date on which total quantity produced is confirmed).
eg. If quantity requested is 10 and 1 PC is produced on 27.07.2007 and 2 pc produced on 28.07.2007 and 7 pc produced on 29.07.2007. This data source gives me the information as 10 quantity (127) produced on 29.07.2007
I need all 3 lines (ie.1 PC against 27.07.2007 and 2 pc against 28.07.2007 and 7 pc against 29.07.2007 ) into BW. This information is available in AFRU table.
I tried all possible solutions that i could manage with the current datasource that i use, but could not find any.
Could someone suggest some other production data source which i can use to achieve this information ?

Difference between SNP heuristics,Optimizer and CTM

Dear Friends,
can any one explain me what are the basic difference in SNP planning methods
1) SNP heuristics
2)Optimzer
3)CTM
when should we use these method in SNP , is all the methods are used in SNP impelemtation ?

·        Your business environment is subject to strict constraints (for example, you must take into account production capacities, transportation capacities, storage capacities, and/or handling capacities)
·        You have alternative production locations and sources of supply (locations, production process models, and external procurement relationships)
·        You can decide between early production and late production
·        You share resources, meaning that multiple products are produced simultaneously on the one resource
We recommend that you use heuristic-based planning or CTM planning if any of the following conditions apply:
·        You wish to plan on an infinite basis (meaning that you do not wish to consider capacities) for the medium to long-term horizon (heuristic).

The heuristic is used as part of a repair-based planning process consisting of the heuristic, capacity leveling, and deployment. I m facing a strange error, everytime when i search and open any account other than sold to party in WEBUI, I am noticing soldto party in the Roles Assignment block. But the business partner in the backend is not having hte role sold to party. i am not finding how this defaulting is happening automatically.

I have downloaded ios 6 on my ipad but now it wants me to connect to itunes. When I do that itunes tells me I need to restore it but I was using icloud and not itunes as my backup

Yes. Restore with iTunes. That's your only option. You can restore from the iCloud backup after you get the iPad up and running again. You will have to erase the iPad again after restoring. Settings>General>Reset>Erase all content and settings and then start all over again with the iPad.
The iPad fully functions as PC free, but you are still taking a chance if you don't have a computer to use in situations like this. You still have to "repair" with a computer running iTumes.

Need video clips to "fall into place" using scale and position, but Premiere isn't cooperating...

Hey guys, I'm working on a project for a client where I need 50 video clips to "fall" from full screen to a "puzzle" in the background, then I have some after effects to do, but my problem is that I can't seem to get a video to play "underneath" another video. Any suggestions?

Yep they are, as each clip needs to continue to play for the full 30 second spot, so I think you're right I'm going to have to move the project to Ae and do some precomps. Premiere started doing some weird stuff with my video clips (After pre-render it would invert the image and shift them all to black and white) which I couldn't find a fix for, so its back to the drawing board as far as prepping them goes.
I think Ann is right, too. The client supplied all the clips, (1280x720 MTS, 60fps) some of which are an hour long, but I only need 30 seconds or less of each clip so it could also be a conforming issue, as a lot of these files are HUGE. I was hoping my machine could handle it (ASUS G73JH, intel 8-Core i7, ATI HD5870, 12 Gigs RAM, 2TB external swap drive/storage, 1TB Internal HD, 512MB SSD Internal swap drive) just because I'm basically lazy and didn't want to have to pre-render each clip, but now it looks like I'm going to have to. I was hoping there was some new sneaky way of only importing select edits of video clips with CS6, but it looks like its manual edit/export for all 50 of 'em.

Hey I installed the planning 9.3.1 and also I created the application name, using planning address. but the problem is I am unable to navigate through workspace. I am getting three dialog boxes....
" invalid or could not find module configuration"
"Required application module hyperioin planning app wizard is not configured.please contact your administrator"
" Communication error"
I'm able to see the application name in projects of shared services. Can any one face the same situation , and also I need info regarding how to initialize modules of capx and wfp.

If you did a standard install then it should be running on port 19000 as well.
I take it workspace is working fine on port 19000

^ this will be your workspace servername..
When you run the configuration utility for Reporting and Analysis and the section "Configure Web Server", this is where you set up the Apache Server for workspace, there is an option for "Planning", this should be ticked and the correct planning server entered as it will default to the workspace server.
The apache server redirects requests on the standard workspace port 19000 to the correct server and port, so for planning it redirects to the planning server and port 8300.

Use of SNP Heuristics & Optimizer

Folks,
Has anyone used both Heuristics and Optimizer together within the same supply network?
If so then how was this used e.g. Network optimization on monthly basis and location heuristics on weekly basis. Idea is to come up with a monthly optimum sourcing plan using optimizer and then resolve any location specific capacity issues using heuristics on a weekly basis.
Is this a feasible solution?

We are using both SNP Heuristics as well as Optimizer. SNP heuristic is not considering the Constraints, thats why it is required to be run where the demand and supply can be linked without any constraint. As in our case, we are doing it between Customer and C&F. For rest of the network, we are running Optimizer as several constraints are involved in different Supply chain nodes, like transportation capacity, production capacity, storage cost etc...
We are running Optimizer on the whole network successfully which gives the results on a daily bucket considering various constraints.
In your case, you can run Optimizer alone as it will consider the location specific capacities.

Hi there.
I connected to my livebox after about three attempts. You have to pair the livebox by pressing either the number one or two that is on the box. When it is in pair mode it stays that way for ten minutes so it gives you chance to try your wep code that is on the bottom of the box a few times. I can't remember which one was successful but i did try the letters in uppercase and lower and one of them seemed to connect.

You may need to open TCP and UDP port 3283 and TCP and UDP port 5900 in the routers on your end and your company's end. For encrypted file transfer (ARD 3.0), also open TCP port 22. You may also need to open TCP (and perhaps UDP) 5988 and 5989, though it's not clear under what circumstances this will be necessary.
If your systems at work get their IP addresses via NAT, you'll also have to forward those ports to your MBP's internal IP address.

GR for production order post to cost center and not to the production order

Hi all,
when we post the goods receipt for the finished product against the production order (mov. type 101), the order is not credited with the corresponding stock value. Instead of this, the value accounts to a cost center.
We specified this cost center in OKB9 (Default account assignment), because if not, we get an error when posting the goods receipt cause of lacking accounting object.
I can't see why the system does not credit the production order?
Any ideas?

Hi Daniel,
This is the first time i am coming across an issue like this.
neverthless from a logical front,
1. Remove Cost center as a valid receiver in Settlement Profile.
2. Your OKB9 setting are pretty much good. No need to worry about it. Becasue, OKB9 only will work if the system doesn't identify any other cost object. In this case Production Order is an automatic cost object which system should have taken.
3. Check the Settlement rule when you have created Production Order. It should have been MAT.
4. I hope you are creating Production Order with Material (using CO01 and not CO07)
5. Make sure in OPL8, the default rule in controlling tab is PP1.
Once all these are fine, i do not see any reason why you will get your probelm.
Please check and revert back to me if the problem still persists.

If you already registered, then there is no point to trying to do so again. Simply dismiss the dialog.
