Need Info on Time Confirmation using IW41/IW42

Hi PM Exterts.,
Time confirmation of Operations is being done through IW41/IW42 by customer.
The customer enters the 'Actual Hrs' & 'Work ends on' date and the 'Work Start on' date/time is calculated based on this.
While listing the confirmations (from IW47), there are quite a few entries where the 'Work Start on' time is default (say 08:00:00).
What are the possibilities for this error (or) wrong calculation...? I tried to replicate the issue in QA, but it is working perfectly...
Kindly suggest.

Have you checked the config on execution of control parameters in IMG ? Does you dates and time are dfaulting in IW41 ?
Normally it should show up the same dates in IW47 as well.
Check the ocnfig and tables.

Exit/Badi for to Stop PM Order Confirmation using IW41

Hi,
My Requirement is while doing PM Order Confirmation based on Order and Operation in IW41, system needs to check WBS element status.
If WBS element status is closed, It has to stop the Order Confirmation.
Kindly suggest any Exit or Badi for this.

IPhone 4 compass needs calibrating every time I use it?

Every single time I try to use the compass working the map app it needs to be re-calibrated. Most of the time I am not near any potential interference. I noticed this issue right away and it continues weeks later. Does anyone know how to stop this? Thanks.

I've noticed issues with the compass on the iphone 4 too. was using it whilst walking at the weekend and noticed it wasn't right, used a proper compass instead.
I've just been messing with it now and noticed that if you slowly turn the phone so that the triangle at the top and the red "N" on the compass dial line up it will actually point north.
As soon as you rotate the phone away from north it "snaps" about and will go between 20 and 90 degrees wrong. the more the phone is rotated the more the north direction is wrong.

The GSM section of your Verizon iPhone 5 is unlocked and will work with any nano-SIM card.
Not all iPhone features such as FaceTime, iMessage, visual voicemail, etc, may work if using a carrier that doesn't support iPhones. If using an unofficial carrier, you may need to enter APN settings to get cell data. LTE may not be compatable.

New to Mac need info about Time Machine Backups

Just bought a Macbook Air and partitioned 50MB for Windows & Quicken. Most of the time I'm getting used to Mac software. Anyway when I backup using Time Machine does that backup the Windows Partition or just the Mac Partition?

I hope you mean 50 GB?
If you're using Boot Camp, no, Time Machine can't back up the Windoze partition, since it's not formatted for a Mac.
I understand there's a 3rd-party app named WinClone that many folks use for that. You might want to check the Boot Camp forum, at: http://discussions.apple.com/category.jspa?categoryID=237

Measuring points-Time Confirmation

HI Gurus,
Once work order gets created thru preventive maintenance plan....we need to do a time confirmation for the completed work.When i do IW41 and clicked the measuring points button at the top.....I am not getting all the measuring points which was created for the same piece of equipment...When I cliked the measuremnt all object..I can able to see only the first measuring point...how to see all the measuring points linked to the same piece of equipment ?

I agree we can able to see the measuring points...but my problem is...I`ve included the measurement routes and created the one plan .....once the wo created...I need to do time confirmation for tht order which has all the different equipments associated in maintenace routes.When I do IW41...I can see only header level equipment measuring point and not the rest of all measuring points associated in routes.As one person is goin to do all the similiar work for different equipments...we maintained one work order and one time confiramtion...but due to unavailable of measuring points...I cannot able to do the time confirmation for rest of the equipments which is in the routes.

Removing the battery:
Shut down the computer. Disconnect any cords connected to the computer.
Turn the computer over.
Locate the battery latch on one side of the battery.
Use a coin to turn the latch a quarter-turn clockwise. The battery should pop up slightly.
Lift the battery out.
Installing the battery:
Place the right side of the battery into the battery compartment at an angle, as shown below.

Automatic Time Confirmation for an operation in a Maintenance Order (IW41)

Hello,
We have a requirement to do automatic time confirmation (while saving the order) on an operation when the user selects "DONE" standard text key on Operation line item. Is there a user exit or BADI available in Plant Maintenance that can be used for Automatic time confirmation?
I went through some of the user exist/BADI in PM and didn't find anything for automatic time confirmation. The only thing that I found useful was user exit CONFPM03 (which allows to carry our own checks once and operation is selected for confirmation).

Normally thru confirmation we enter actual hrs worked in IW41 .. but if you do not want to run that tcode then not sure of any BADI but i would suggest you to create a Z Programme which runs as a batch job at some 30min everyday . The Z Programme checks all the PM orders of particular order type which are with released status and then gets into operations and checks for standard text and if its value is DONE then calls programme SAPLCORU - IW41 Programme .. you can suitably put a variant for that batch job .. plz check the option with ABAPer ..
