Need info on who to call or write in order to receive reading of text messages

I have heard from SEVERAL people that it is possible to get a reading of your text messages from Verizon if you are the account holder. I have also heard that it may take some persistance in order to get this information & it is available w/o a court order if you are requesting you OWN information. What number do I call or who do I write in order to be able to get this information IF is is indeed possible?? THX!

Cannot receive or make call and receive or send text messages in areas where there is a high wifi signal.

Please help me. I just got my iphone 4 last february and it was working just fine. But recently, i am having problems with its phone features such as text messaging and call. Most of he times i have a full network signal yet i cannot receive or make a call, receive or send text messages. I have also observed that everytime i am in a wifi zone where its signal strenght is high, this problem always exists. There seems to be no problem with its other features...please help me anyone.

Wi-Fi has nothing to do with making/receiving calls, or sending/receiving text messages... those features only work over the cellular network.
Have you contacted the carrier to rule out network issues or swap out the SIM card to eliminate that as a possibility?
What about Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings?

Try going to Settings>Messages>Send & Receive and uncheck the email address(es) shown under "You can be reached by iMessage at". If that doesn't work, you'll have to tap the ID, sign out, then sign back in with a different Apple ID for iMessage.

I upgraded my iOS to 5 on my original iPad. Now I have messaging. However, I have no idea who in my 300 contacts have signed up. During the activation process you were asked to set up a passcode. If you say no, it pops up a small notice, "are you sure you don't want a passcode, recommended". Do you remember entering a code?
if not, the only option is to restore the phone with iTunes And start over.

Need info about Runtime.exec

Hello, I have a non program specific question about how Runtime.exec works. First off assume that I handle all my input streams and output streams correctly, and I am not worried about inter process communication. The question is, when I use Runtime.getRuntime().exec(cmd[],pth[],dir) does the JVM that is running the code that calls it live until the spawned process dies, or can it die without waiting for the execed process to die? I am trying to write an app that can spawn a new copy of itself that is completely independent from the original process, and may live on long after the original is no longer needed. To ensure proper resource management I need to know that the JVM that launches the new process does not have to wait for the new process to die prior to completely cleaning itself up.
Does that make sense?
Any suggestions, ideas, questions?

Thank you all who gave useful input. I had done some reading on this already and could not find a definite answer on weather or not the calling JVM can properly dispose of itself prior to the process it called being disposed of.
The answer it seems is dependent on context. In windows, and from a GUI app, it looks like the calling JVM can die any time it wants too. A command line app on the other hand seems to have to wait for the app it called to die first. I have not tested it on other OS's but I am sure it varies by OS as well. I would not even be surprised if it varies by JVM.
So the short answer to my question that you all helped me find is this, It varies by context.

MY Internet provider is Time Warner / Roadrunner cable..Does this help you to solve my problem. Nothing wrong with the modem..just my wrt 610N settings, I'm guessing it carried over from my wrt 310N..this was working fine until a couple of months ago and then nothing for this one website.

The most immediate thing you need to do is to call your credit card company and report the unauthorized charges. Your card company can contact Apple if they need additional information.
Next, log into your iTunes Store account and see if the purchases are reflected in the Purchase History. If they are, immediately change the password to your iTunes Store account, making sure it's not something easily guessed or looked up. Then go here:
http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/
and follow the instructions to report the issue to the iTunes Store. Whether or not they'll do anything for you I don't know, particularly if you didn't change the password after your iPod was stolen.
If the charges are not reflected in the Purchase History, then it's most likely a fraudulent charge to your credit card directly rather than an unauthorized purchase through your iTunes Store account in which case it will be up to your bank to handle.

You can use a download instead of the disk as an alternative: Adobe - Download free trial version Adobe Photoshop Elements 12 | Adobe you can license with your serial
Please test the disk in another windows machine to check if it's caused by the drive or the disk. If you tested with 2 drives please start a support case, i assume Adobe will only provide downloads at this point. They are the same as the trials. If you still need a disk you can burn the trial to a disk as a backup disk. Good luck!

This freezing reminds me of really old Macs, long ago, in the days of the old-school peripherals like SCSI drives, terminators, scanners and the like. If you had a SCSI conflict, like the wrong device ID's or something, you'd freeze up like that. Back in those days you'd call 800-SOS-APPLE (AAPL?) and they'd run you through disconnecting all your extra hardware - Jaz and Zip drives, CD burners, scanners etc and then eliminate them one by one by adding them incrementally and testing for the freeze/bomb dialog.
But, today we have Firewire and none of those ancient issues (no free lifetime tech support either). My iMac's ports are all full, and I only know which devices are connected when I have to remove something for another device. iSight, scanner, card reader, external hard drive, USB soundsticks, etc. You wouldn't happen to have any SCSI devices hooked up, would you?
Out of curiosity, have you tried a different USB/Firewire port for the hard drive? Or run the hardware test DVD that comes with your computer? This weird freezing seems to suggest a problem with the computer, RAM or network more than a device. Bad devices, in my experience, cause kernel panics, not freezing.

Nokia N8 Can not see who's calling / display won't...

I have the problem that when I get a call my phone will ring but there is nothing seen onto the display.
When I use the unlock button on the side of the phone it unlocks and then I can see who's calling and take the call.
When I want to hang-up, the display stays off and I can't hang up. I need to use the button on the side again to activate the display and then hang up.
The same is with the alarm buzzer, I set my phone to wake me up in the morning.
When the alarm goes, I cannot turn it of directly.
I need to unlock the phone again with the button on the side of the phone and then I can press snooze or turn off alarm.
Does anyone has experience with this or has a solution?
It is a Nokia N8 got it now for 3 weeks and has the latest software on it.

If the phone is not functioning correctly, as already suggested, it should be returned to a Nokia Care Centre for repair under warranty !
