  • Ending current contract to open new account

    Currently I am on my father-in-laws plan as a "add a line" and I want to start my own account with verizon and get a new phone. Is this possible to do without paying a cancelation fee? Or will I just need to wait until my phone is eligble for upgrade to end service on my father-in-laws plan? I figure verizon would not care due to the fact that they will be getting more money out of the deal, but who knows.....

    if the other line is under contract your FIL can keep it active, or cancel it and pay the ETF.
    if you want to keep the number and phone you can do an Assumption of Liabilty, take it over then upgrade when eligible, your contract date will remain the same.

  • Looking to add ssd to new dv7 7000

    I recently ordered a dv7 7000 and i am wanting to make the 1tb hdd that comes with it the secondary hdd and add an ssd as the boot drive.
    I have never had or installed an ssd drive and i am wondering what extra items i am going to need other than buying the ssd itself.  I assume there is a specific wire/connector i am going to need but i have been unable to find anything in my searches.
    Any suggestions or advice anyone can provide would be greatly appreciated .

    If your GF is out of contract, I would just add a line to my account and select a family plan and get her a phone and port her number over. (If she still wants it).
    If she is NOT out of contract and is with VZW, you can do an Assumption of Liabilty to bring her into your account and then you can choose a family plan and wait to get new phones. (This does not add time to either contract)
    If each of you are more than 12 months into your current contracts, (that is if she is on VZW also) and have a base plan of $49.99 or more a month, each can upgrade now at two year pricing. You forego your NE2 discounts and each MAY pay an add'l $20 but you each could get your new phones now and THEN bring her into your account via an AOL. This will change your contracts dates two more years from date of activation.
    I hope I did not confuse you too much.

  • EPMA - Changing a 'Shared' member to 'Primary'

    Hi,
    We need to modify a dimension. We have a alternate rollup where all the members are 'Shared'. However that rollup in the desired dimension becomes the 'primary' dimension and the current primary dimension needs to be removed. If we just change the current shared members to 'primary' and delete the new 'shared' members, the data is lost on restructure. We also have removed all ALIASES too.
    When we goto deploy we get an error that the member was rejected and Shared Member LOC_1138 can not be added or updated.
    Is it possible to change/modify the primary and shared within same dimension and deploy and not lose data?

    To receive the discount you the account has to be in the employee's name and SSN. You can call 611 or visit a corporate store and ask for an Assumption Of Liabilty. The current account owner and the potential new account owner should be together. Keep in mind that there will be a credit check for the new account owner and you may have to change to one of the new More Everything plans.

  • How to measure performance of supplier when using scheduling agreement ?

    Hello all,
    My client has an absolute need to be able to measure the performance of its suppliers based on delivery dates and delivered quantities. That is to say he needs to be able to compare what dates and quantities were asked to what has been really delivered.
    Most of the procurement processes used are based on scheduling agreements : schedule lines are generated by MRP and forecast is sent to supplier while firm requirements are sent through JIT calls.
    It seems that when doing GR in MIGO, it is done against the outline agreement number, and not against the call. Therefore, we have no way to compare dates and quantity with what was expected (in the JIT call).
    Do you know if SAP proposes a standard solution to this, and what could be a solution to this issue ?
    Thanks for your help
    E. Vallez

    Hi,
    My client faced the same problem and we ended up developing an own analysis in LIS. Since the GR is not linked to specific schedule line (SAP does some kind of apportioning, but it doesn't have to correlate to the correct match), one needs to do assumptions. Our assumption was the closest schedule line, i.e. each GR is related to the schedule line with the closest date. Then all GR the same day are totaled together before the quantity reliability is calculated, since the very same shipment can be reported through several GR transactions in SAP (one per pallet).
    If anybody has info about what SAP has to offer in this question (or is developing), please tell us!

  • HDV in FCP 5

    Hello... I'm a bit nervous posting this. I come to this forum for all my questions, and I've never had to post a question because I can always find my answer by doing a search. But I am quite confused about my question today, so here it goes...
    We are about to shoot our first HDV project, and I just want to make sure we can actually edit this stuff with the hardware/software we have. After lots of searching, I think I've answered my questions, but need someone to double check my answers...
    Specs:
    Camera: Sony HVR-V1U (not sure what settings we will use... open to suggestions)
    Computer: iMac G5, Processor- 2.1 GHz, Ram- 1.5 GB
    Software: FCP 5, DVD SP 3
    Final Output: SD DVD (TRT around 10 minutes)
    Please let me know if any other info is needed.
    Questions/Assumptions:
    1. I CAN digitize and edit with the hardware and software we have, right?
    2. Will I need to downconvert before/during digitizing?
    3. Can we keep the widescreen look or must we switch to 4:3?
    4. What kind of media (tapes) should we use?
    5. We can only digitize with that same camera, right?
    6. Can we edit 24p in FCP 5?
    Thank you in advance. I'm sincerely sorry if I've posted questions that have been posted before. I'm being selfish and need (want?) answers to my specific situation
      Mac OS X (10.4.9)

    Questions/Assumptions:
    1. I CAN digitize and edit with the hardware and
    software we have, right?
    Yes
    2. Will I need to downconvert before/during
    digitizing?
    Depending on the delivery requirements I would say After edit
    3. Can we keep the widescreen look or must we switch
    to 4:3?
    You can keep the widescreen look but it will most likely be letterboxed.
    4. What kind of media (tapes) should we use?
    SONY
    5. We can only digitize with that same camera,
    right? No, Any Sony HDV product will work.
    6. Can we edit 24p in FCP 5?
    NO You can Shoot 24p and the V1U will convert to 60i on the tape and you will edit HDV 60i, with a 24p look.
    Good Luck

  • Down Payment Request--URGENT

    I need to configure down payment request in OBXR for various down payment accounts for customers. In SAP we have F as special gl indicator for down pament requests. I have about 4 to 5 customers with different recon accounts. Some of the customers with common recona ccount need to be assigned different liabilty account. In down paymetn request, when I create anotehr gl indicator for eg. 1 or G and check mark on noted items in properties I get teh message that only F special indicator is for down paymetn requests. How do I create otehr special indicators for down payment requests because the system does not let me create any other specail gl indicator. I checked in OBXB where F is set up as special gl indicator for down pmt request. There is no button to add more special gl indicators there.
    Please help me with this. THis is urgent. Thanks
    Lakshmi

    The confusion here is that you are trying to create a new Down Payment Request Special GL indicator. You do not need this. What you need to create is a new Down Payment GL Indicator.
    Remember when you do a down payment request (special GL F), the system does not post to any reconciliation account. It is just a noted item. It is only when the down payment is made that the system posts an entry to a provisional liability (usually special GL A).
    If you want  to accomplish the above issue, you can create Special GL items (just like A) but do NOT make them noted items. Only F should be a noted item. Then link these new Special GLs to Special GL F, in the field Target Sp GL ind. Then you can attach the new codes to the different reconciliation accounts that you want.
    Special GL F can still remain on the original reconcilation account, as said above no postings are made when you do a Down Payment Request.

  • Family Share Plan

    My boyfriend and I each have separate Verizon wireless contracts and are eligible for an upgrade.  We would like to both get the iPhone and get a family share plan for the two of us.  Are we able to share minutes with an iPhone like one can with other Verizon phones?  If so, would we each have to purchase an iPhone with our current plans and then get a Family Share Plan together or can we do it all at once?

    you can share minutes, but each line needs a seperate data plan
    you will need to do assumption of liablity for each line
    the current line owner and the new line owner will need to either go to a vzw store, or call customer service
    doing this will not affect your contract date, so you can do it before or after you do the family plan

  • Table access by index rowid taking more time

    Hi All
    I've a query like
    update tab1
      set col1 = ( select col2 from
                           tab2
                    where tab1.id = tab2.id) table 1 has arnd 10,000 rows
    table 2 has arnd 1,700,000 rows and has a primay key on column id.
    This query is taking around 20 secs to execute. I checked the xplan and most of time taken for table access by index rowid.
    Could you please suggest what can be the reason for this. (Can it be the clustering factor or something else)
    I checked the stats for the tab2, its just three days old.

    If you checked the xplan why haven't you posted it so we can look at it? Then we could see what table is being accessed by index rowid. Presumably it is table 2 but we the plan would eliminate the need to make assumptions.
    The clustering factor could be a factor. You haven't told us how table1 is being accessed. All rows are being updated so a full table scann is most likely but again the plan would actually show the access.
    Did you query the dictionary to see what the clustering factor is? Post the results of that
    SQL> select index_name, leaf_blocks, avg_leaf_blocks_per_key, avg_data_blocks_per_key, clustering_factor, distinct_keys
    2 from dba_indexes
    3 where owner = 'schema'
    4 and index_name in ('index_b','index_a');

  • String pack and unpack

    Hi, im having trouble trying to write a methode to unpack a string packed with the following methode.
    can some one tell me how to write the unpack methode ?
    thanks.
    public String pack(String s) {
    byte[] a = new byte[16];
    //If the string is an odd length then pack with an F
    if ( s.length() % 2 == 1 ) {
    s = (char) 0xFF + s ;
    //Now pack each pair of bytes into the array
    for ( int i = 0, j = 0 ; i < s.length() ; i += 2, j++ ) {
    a[j] = (byte) ( ( (s.charAt(i) & 0x0F) << 4 ) +
    (s.charAt(i+1) & 0x0F) ) ;
    return new String(A);
    }

    You need know the assumptions about the content of the original string. A packing algorithm like the one you describe might be used to pack a numeric string into an array of bytes. In that case, you assume that the original string consisted of nothing but ASCII digits, and you can recover the string with the following method:
    public String unpack(String a) {
      byte [] b = a.getBytes();
      StringBuffer buff = new StringBuffer(b.length * 2);
      for (int i = 0; i < b.length; i++) {
        buff.append((char)(0x30 | ((b[i] & 0xf0) >> 4)));
        buff.append((char)(0x30 | (b[i] & 0x0f)));
      // If the first char was a pad char, then remove it
      if (buff.charAt(0) == (char)0x3f)
        return buff.substring(1);
      return buff.toString();
    }

  • Auto Complete/fill

    I have a couple of cells that keep filling in information (anticipating what I am writing) on a spreadsheet that I use daily I do not want it to do this, how can I turn it off for those cells? If I type 3...it puts 30....the remainder of my address, same for a couple of other digits as well. I want to just be able to type what I need without any assumptions as to what i want

    Is it possible to edit the list that Numbers uses to auto-complete? I like the feature for the majority of the spreadsheet, but in one cell (and a different column & row), I typed '75 to 71 to 75'. I will probably never type that again in a cell. However, I regularly type just '75'. This is where Numbers wants to auto-complete with '75 to 71 to 75' and I have to hit delete to clear it. I know it's a small inconvenience, but I like and use auto-complete on some of the other cell with different content, so I'd prefer to keep it activated. Thanks!

  • Upgrading/terminating question

    My family has three phones with our plan.  My phone (which list listed as the primary or main phone) has reached the end of the current contract & is ready to upgrade per the website.  However, I no longer need this phone & wish to terminate service on this phone ONLY.  My husband & daughter would like to keep their service and share the minutes, etc.  Can I do that via the website or do I need to speak to someone in customer service??

    I don't see a need for an assumption of liability. Just because the primary line is being canceled means nothing. All of the phones are under the same name. Unless this is a case of divorce, I don't see a real reason for an AOL even if the account is in the name of the person no longer needing/wanting a phone.

  • Need to develop this report plezzzz help

    the requirement says
    When a user submits an ID they have to choose who sold the product from the sold by field.This has to be chosen correctly otherwise there will be issues in sales and commission process.I need to develop a report to detect immediately when an Id is created which seems to be suspect.A suspect ID is one in which a salesperson was chosen on a customer who is not assigned to that sales person territory
    for example: if danny is in Kathy territory is assigned to a customer in Texas which is Larry territory.
    any suggestions will be helpful for me...

    You ask for help, yet all you give is conceptual data. How do you expect help on writing the report?
    Q) What defines "territory"? Is it a flag? Zip code? City?
    Here is an answer based on a lot of assumptions:
    I would have to assume that territory is defined by something like city, state, or zip code. If so, you could start with this:
    When a customer submits an ID, along with who he/she selects as a salesperson -- I assume this is a drop down box to eliminate multiple entries of the same person due to variations in spelling -- thep person's address, city, state and zip are included as well. Let's assume that territory is defined by zip code. With the salesperson's name and the zip of the customer captured, you have the basis for comparison.
    Based on the table of all your salespeople and their territory (zip code in my assumption), you can create a report that contains a concatenated field of salesperson||zip code. This will produce a report with all possible combinations of salesperson and territory. This report will be your sub-query.
    Now you have your main query based on the customer activity table and you create a concatenated field of salesperson (chosen-by-customer)||zip code (of the customer). You will put a filter on this concatenated column and have it based on the results of another request (your sub-query) with the operand "not equal to/not in."
    If any record in the main query does not match an entry from the sub-query, that record will display. It will be a report that contains customers who chose a sales person who doesn't have that territory.
    That's how you build your report.

  • Need help in retrieving a varchar in a web application.

    HI,
    I need a urgent help in selecting a varchar column on to the web application.
    Here are I am using the DB as MSSQL. I can see more than 1000 characters when I open the table in Enterprise Manager, but the same query if I excute in SQL Query Analyser, I see the result with only 256 characters. In the same way my Java application is working. In my DB table I have a column with nvarchar and I want to write to code to get that infomration of 2000characters on to the web page.
    Can any one of you help me out.
    You can reach me at [email protected]
    Thank You
    Neelima

    However, the interesting thing here is that the SQL
    analyzer displays the same 256 charater for the select statement...So you see 1000 using one MS tool and 256 using another tool? And neither of these have anything to do with java.
    Hmmm.....to me that suggests that it has nothing to do with java.
    If it was me I would start looking at my assumptions about where the data is coming from:
    -Is it the same database?
    -Is it the same table?
    -Is it the same row?
    -Is it the same field?
    -Is something modifying it while I am looking at it?
