The particular model of MacBook Pro is a key detail here, as the Mac model will determine the oldest version it can boot, as well as whether it'll boot more current software.
AFAIK there is and was no Lion installer DVD available. It was a download. AFAIK, the last DVDs commonly available were for Snow Leopard 10.6. Snow Leopard DVDs are still available in the Apple online store in various countries, if your MacBook Pro is old enough to be able to boot that version.
If your MacBook Pro purchase with Lion wasn't registered with Apple, then you'll have to discuss this directly with the Apple Support folks, or repurchase Lion from the Mac App Store (which will usually involve a call to Apple for a redemption code as it's old software), or you'll "purchase" (it's free) Mavericks OS X 10.9 and wipe and install that assuming your MacBook Pro supports Mavericks. If you didn't purchase the MacBook Pro from Apple (and it was shipped with an older release), then you'll end up acquiring a redemption code from Apple for Lion, or installing Mavericks.
For completeness and given you're probably already aware of this, the usual approach for restoration with recent OS X versions is via the recovery boot (more details). If the disk is wiped and you can't get Lion, then you'll probably end up reinstalling with Target Disk Mode using another Mac with a compatible FireWire or Thunderbolt port and a cable. Or visit the local Apple Store.
sputniki: Once OS X 10.7 or 10.9 has been reinstalled, yes, getting Time Machine configured and going is undoubtedly on the agenda. But had there been a viable backup here, I expect jianghua would have used it.

Help needed in understanding the concept of hierarchical queries

I really need help in this matter. I have a flafile containing about 4000 rows. It is from my supplier, it's structure is as follows:

My goal is to make a hierarchical query with the start with and connect by clauses. From what I have read is that I need to normalize the data of the flatfile.
How do I achieve a table which I can query so that the query will represent the hierarchy that exists. Namely
Pgroup
++Pclasse
Application Software
++Database Software
++Spreadsheet Software
So a 2-level hierarchy. I'd like to understand this simple concept first. I built on the knowledge that I gain. So the questions are:
1.What do I need to do to make the table so that I can use a hierarchical query on it?
2. How should the query syntax be?
3. Is it also possible to get the data in the hierarchical query sorted asec?
I would only like to use the simple structures of the start with and connect by clauses first. I've read there are some new additions to 10G. The problem with the examples used by the tutorials is that the tables are already made so that they are suitable for hierarchical queries. I hope to understand it by this example. And take it a step further.

Primarily hierarchy query serves to process tree-like structures which RDBMS simulates using through parent-child relation, often in a single table (see famoust
EMP table where employee can have the manager who is an employee at the same time).

Need clarification on the concept of "reset logs"

When the database is in Archive log mode and once crashed will be recovered using the below command :
SQL> startup nomount
SQL> Alter database recover automatic using backup controlfile until cancel;
Once the database is recovered, we give the below command:
SQL> recover cancel;
After the above steps, we have to perform below command which I am not able to understand.
SQL> alter database open reset logs;
I am not able to appreciate the purpose of resetting the logs...why not we allow the database to proceed with the log file sequence.
Any information on the "reset logs" concept would be helpful to me.

Need information on the new RAR Rule Architect/Rule Set functions

Does anyone have any information on the new 5.3 functions listed under Rule Architect/Rule Sets, specifically the Compare function?
My 5.3 Config manual mentions this area but doesn't describe anything about it. I have a request from our user group and need to determine if this can fit that request.
What they are looking for is an easy way to compare our RAR Rule Set with the latest SAP version (Q2 2010 is the most recent I believe). Just from the screen shots, it looks like we could maybe use the Rule Sets functions for that. Load the new SAP one into RAR as a separate ruleset and then run this Compare function. However I haven't been able to find any documentation on this function, so I don't know if it really does what we are looking for.

the error 'NullPointerException ' is very common error in GRC.
kindly search, you will find lots of threads and notes on thi.
check you permission TXT file. It contain null value some where.
especially check SD01 & SD02 tcodes.
Also open permission file in word and check all TAB's and ENTER's in technical view.

You can't. If your phone is disabled, the data has already been erased...that's the whole point of the passcode. Your only option now is:
Turn your phone off, then force it into recovery mode & restore it:
Leave the USB cable connected to your computer, but NOT your phone, iTunes running, press & hold the home button while connecting the USB cable to your dock connector, continue holding the home button until you see “Connect to iTunes” on the screen. You cannot use it until the previous owner disables Find My Phone and erases it. Until then it is useless. Return it to the seller and get a refund, if you can.

My wife is setting up an online Business that will sell downloadable language resources (for learning foreign languages). These will include worksheets, soundfiles, and also animations (that are being done by a separate animator).
I am a 'rusty' Java developer and have said that I would do the IT for her.
We have purchased an Adobe Creative Cloud subscription as she is doing the worksheets in InDesign, and they will be sold as PDF's.
I have mocked up the beginnings of a website with Muse, but was intending to use that for getting the look and feel right, then replicating it in Java and HTML5.
However, today I started looking a Business Catalyst and seeing what it could do, but I am confused about it.
Would I be able to sell downloadable items using the eCommerce features?
Can I set up a mock shop on the free BC site?
How much does the eCommerce upgrade actually cost? Like I said, we are a Creative Cloud subscriber.
There will be some features that I will need to code, perhaps talking to another database, I understand that you can call out from the app to your own webservices etc?

Do you mean javascript or java? Java doesn't run on BC as FYI.

Yes you can. BC allows you to have media downloads for purchase.

Yes, you can start a free trial site that will allow you build and try out BC. Once you are ready to go live with the site you would pay to upgrade the site to a live site.
How much does the eCommerce upgrade actually cost? Like I said, we are a Creative Cloud subscriber.
The price is $38.88 per month (USA pricing. AU differs - more info here on pricing: US Monthly Pricing | Adobe Business Catalyst ) with Creative Cloud you have five basic sites with BC but to "upgrade" you pay the regular price for BC sites.
There will be some features that I will need to code, perhaps talking to another database, I understand that you can call out from the app to your own webservices etc?
There are APIs that allow you to talk to other services and send information back to BC.

Before i get an electronic like the iPod Touch, i try to gather as much information as i possibly can so i can have everything ready and all of the knoweledge about it so i dont screw it up and so i can use it correctly, im trying not to sound geeky when saying this . I have had terrible luck with batteries in the past. So, i need to know all about the iPod Touch 8GB battery. Here are a few questions i have
1.When i first get it what should i do, like fully charge it and wait or what?
2.I'm told Li-ion batteries need special treatment. Do you drain the battery at least once a month or something? I'm told you should do something to the battery at least once a month, but i'm not to sure what though.
3. Kindve going with the second question, is it bad if Li-ion batteries completely drain, should i try to never let it die on me?

1Z0-001 or 007 and 147.
but the 001 has expired
so the 1Z007 + 1Z0-147 = OCA ( dev track )
and after that if i give 141, i will be OCP - dev track

We have been using "gmipapi.inventory_posting" API in one of our interfaces. Now we upgraded to R12 and I am looking for equivalent Inventory APIs which I may need to replace this one to make the interface working in R12. Does any one have any information on this. Please let me know.

I got the information the way to work on this issue.
Records created through non-Oracle applications should be inserted in Mtl_Transactions_Interface, as they will be validated before being processed. So I did direct insert into Mtl_Transactions_Interface and MTL_TRANSACTION_LOTS_INTERFACE table. Then Call the API INV_TXN_MANAGER_PUB.PROCESS_TRANSACTION to process the records in Mtl_Transactions_Interface table.
Now I could see all the transactions in the Material Transaction Form and also in MTL_MATERIAL_TRANSACTION Table.
