Need internet explorer for Mountain Lion

Do any one know where to find Internet Explorer for Mounain Lion?

Internet Explorer is only available for Windows, not Mac. If you have to use a webpage that requires Internet Explorer, you can use compatibility mode:
1. Go to Safari > Preferences > Advanced and tick Show Develop menu in menu bar.
2. Open Develop > User Agent and press Internet Explorer 9 (Windows).
If it doesn't help, buy Windows 7 or 8 and install it in VMware Fusion, Parallels Desktop, VirtualBox or through Apple Boot Camp

Trying to get on healthcare.gov site. People there said my problem was browser and that I need Internet Explorer (which I don't believe) Is IE available for Mountain Lion?

Internet Explorer was available for the first OS X versions, but it was discontinued.
What you can try is to get to the site in Internet Explorer mode. To do it, open Safari, go to Safari menu (on the menu bar) > Preferences > Advanced, and mark "Show Develop menu in menu bar".
Then, close your Preferences window, go to Develop menu (on the menu bar) > User Agent, and choose one of all the Internet Explorer options

  • Looking for internet explorer for mountain lion?

looking for internet explorer for OS X Mavericks?

It doesn't exist. There hasn't been a version of Internet Explorer for Macs for several years.

You can't — at least not if you want to run it in the Mac OS. If you have Winidows installed on your Mac, then of course you can run the Windows version of IE, but the Mac version hasn't been updated since June 2003 and is unsupported by Microsoft. It's very insecure, it can't handle a lot of current web sites, and it may not run at all in recent OS X versions. It was lousy in 2003, and it can't have gotten any better while the world was passing it by.
If there's a web site you want to access that says it requires IE, complain to its webmaster about the benighted design of the site. No responsible web designer codes sites for just one browser any more. Every web site should be tested and should work well with a large variety of browsers — IE, Firefox and Chrome at a bare minimum — and every site owner should insist that their designer(s) adhere to that "best practice."

There is no Internet Explorer for the Mac, only for Windows.
    Windows on Intel Macs
There are presently several alternatives for running Windows on Intel Macs.
Install the Apple Boot Camp software.  Purchase Windows XP w/Service Pak2, Vista, or Windows 7.  Follow instructions in the Boot Camp documentation on installation of Boot Camp, creating Driver CD, and installing Windows.  Boot Camp enables you to boot the computer into OS X or Windows.
Parallels Desktop for Mac and Windows XP, Vista Business, Vista Ultimate, or Windows 7.  Parallels is software virtualization that enables running Windows concurrently with OS X.
VM Fusionand Windows XP, Vista Business, Vista Ultimate, or Windows 7.  VM Fusion is software virtualization that enables running Windows concurrently with OS X.
CrossOver which enables running many Windows applications without having to install Windows.  The Windows applications can run concurrently with OS X.
VirtualBox is a new Open Source freeware virtual machine such as VM Fusion and Parallels that was developed by Solaris.  It is not as fully developed for the Mac as Parallels and VM Fusion.
Note that Parallels and VM Fusion can also run other operating systems such as Linux, Unix, OS/2, Solaris, etc.  There are performance differences between dual-boot systems and virtualization.  The latter tend to be a little slower (not much) and do not provide the video performance of the dual-boot system. See MacTech.com's Virtualization Benchmarking for comparisons of Boot Camp, Parallels, and VM Fusion. Boot Camp is only available with Leopard or Snow Leopard. Except for Crossover and a couple of similar alternatives like DarWine you must have a valid installer disc for Windows.
You must also have an internal optical drive for installing Windows. Windows cannot be installed from an external optical drive.

I need Internet Explore for a certain application. Can I download Internet Explorer?

The last Mac version of IE is so old it doesn't display web pages correctly. It also doesn't have ActiveX. If that's why the site requires IE, the old Mac PowerPC version of IE still wouldn't help you.
You could use Boot Camp to install Windows to its own bootable partition. Or, use VM software (Parallels, VMware, VirtualBox), and install Windows in a VM. Then you'd have Windows running inside OS X with access to IE.

I have not used Internet explorer since downloading firefox and I need IE for a trading platform that I need to use. • I bought an iMac 2 months ago... do I need to pay for Mountain Lion?

My iMac is barely out of the box (it actually sat in storage for a month before I set it up) and now I find that the OS is already out of date. Does Apple have a deal on Mountain Lion for recent purchases? Like... for free?

If you purchased your iMac on or after 7/11 6/11 you are entitled to a free copy, if not, it's $19.99

It is, but you'd need to either install Windows first, using BootCamp or as a virtual machine using VMware Fusion, Parallels or Virtual Box or use CrossOver, which creates a Windows environment in which some Windows programs can run.

  • Virtualbox + Network issue (I need internet explorer for work)

Hi all! I have a very strange problem. I just got a new job, and I can only add and view my worktime through internet explorer. Wine didn't help, so I installed $hitdow$ XP in a virtualbox. Even before I opened a browser or used the connection for anything, I got a virus (dl.exe in a dos cmd window), and there's no problem basically with that install disk.
Anyway the strange issue: Internet explorer after around 2-3 minutes of work says, there's no connection. I go to run/cmd and ping, and it works. Does someone have an idea, how to make IE work in wine? (aur bin32-wine-gecko didn't work, only the virtualbox solution was working yet (for 2-3 minutes), but I would be happier with a wine-based solution)

after exiting, IExplore.exe and wineserver and explorer.exe gets stuck and eats one full cpu core. it's time to create an exit bash script

  • Do i need more memory for mountain lion?

I'm trying to update to Moutain Lion but get a pop-up box saying that I need more memory.  Is this something I need to buy and install?

Mountain Lion requires a minimum of 2 GB of RAM however most users recommend a  4GB or more. Installing RAM is extermely simple and yes you need to buy it. We would need to know the exact model of iMac you own in order to advise which RAM your system needs. I'd recommend contacting a trusted vendor such as OWC (www.macsales.com) or Crucial or your local AASP, each can assist you.

  • Internet Explorer for MAC

I need Internet explorer for my work online catalog, does IE work on Snow Leopard? What's the latest version? Thanks Alex

I've always ask to myself why Mac people are so bitter about Microsoft.
If you're saying this because of my comments regarding IE, it's because IE is well-known for not following established web standards. Among web designers, there's a saying used like a curse word: IDWIMIE. What does it mean? It Doesn't Work In Microsoft Internet Explorer. Web design would be so much simpler if IE just curled up in a corner somewhere and died.
Not all the softwares have to run in every browser out there.
Actually, the point of the web is that all web pages and web apps should work in every browser. If a "web app" only runs in IE, it's no more a web app than a Photoshop plugin is. It's a dynamic Internet Explorer plugin loaded over the internet as needed.

  • Need ingternet explorer for camera security only on Mackbook. how?

need internet explorer for camera security viewing and replay on Mackbook. Can/how do I do this. Safari and apple store do not support the camera viewing.

Internet Explorer has not been available for Mac for quite some time (since 5.2, I believe). Instead, go to Safari > Preferences > Advanced, and at the bottom, make sure the box is checked for "Show Develop menu in menu bar." Once it is enabled, go to Develop > User Agent, and select Internet Explorer. Hopefully that will work for you.
