1) You can join MTL_SYSTEM_ITEMS, MTL_MATERIAL_TRANSACTIONS tables with inventory_item_id,
for example
select mmt.* from mtl_material_transactions mmt,mtl_system_items_b msi
where mmt.inventory_item_id=msi.inventory_item_id
And you can give the organization_id in above qury too if required.
2 ) Similarly you can join MTL_MATERIAL_TRANSACTIONS AND MTL_TRANSACTION_TYPES through
Transaction_type_id like
select mmt.* from mtl_material_transactions mmt,mtl_transaction_types mtt
where mmt.transaction_type_id=mtt.transaction_type_id
3) And for Item Categories there are two table
Mtl_categories_b :- This table contains the category Structures
And Mtl_item_categories: This table contains the inventory_item_id (which is linked to mtl_system_items_b with inventory_item_id) and category_id (which is linked to mtl_categories_b with category_id)
I hope this would be clearer for you. If you need more help then please reply.
If my response or the response of another was helpful, please mark it accordingly*
Thanks

  • Help needed with JOIN condition

I have two tables tb1 and tb2. They join on two columns, viz., plan_name and activity_name. However, I have to ensure the following conditions while joining:
    1. Pick up all the records that join between tb1 and tb2.
    2. If tb1.plan_name is 'Adhoc Activity' then pick the rows which join with tb2. Also pick up those rows which don't join with tb2 where plan_name = 'Adhoc Activity'. For example:
tb1 has 2 records with plan_name Adhoc Acitivity
    plan_name activity_name
    Adhoc Activity A1
    Adhoc Activity A2
tb2 has 1 record with plan_name Adhoc Activity
    plan_name activity_name
    Adhoc Activity A1
then both records from tb1 should be taken. besides other joining records where plan_name <> 'Adhoc Acitivity' should also be taken

    user10566312 wrote:
I think the first condition fails. If plan_name is not 'Adhoc Activity' but if it is present in both tb1 and tb2 then it should be picked... like inner join.???
Could you tell, what is the expected output for below data ? Is it not the one what I am getting -"Some Another Activity" is not picked..?
    with tb1 as
select 'Adhoc Activity' plan_name,'A1' activity_name from dual union all
select 'Adhoc Activity' plan_name,'A2' activity_name from dual union all
select 'another Activity' plan_name,'A2' activity_name from  dual union all
select 'Some another Activity' plan_name,'A2' activity_name from dual
    tb2 as
select 'Adhoc Activity' plan_name,'A1' activity_name from  dual union all
select 'another Activity' plan_name,'A2' activity_name from  dual --union all

       where a.plan_name = b.plan_name(+)
       and a.activity_name = b.activity_name(+)
where (a_plan_name = 'Adhoc Activity'  or b_plan_name is not null)
    order by 1;
    A_PLAN_NAME           B_PLAN_NAME      A_ACT B_ACT
Adhoc Activity        Adhoc Activity   A1    A1
    Adhoc Activity                         A2

    Hi Jonny,
Thanks for your reply. it is very useful for me. need small clarification.
i have execute the query that u have given. please find the following output.
    segment1 order_number line_number shipment_number on_hand
    210020004000011 10005 1 1 139150
    210020004000011 10006 1 1 139150
    210020004000013 10005 2 1 27675
    210020004000013 10006 2 1 27675
i have modified the query and added column ordered_quantity from oe_order_lines_all table.
    SELECT
    mtlb.segment1 ; as Item_Number,
    mtlb.description as Item_Description,
    sum(mtld.primary_transaction_quantity) as Quantity_in_Whouse,
    oel.ordered_quantity as PQuantity_in_SOrder
    FROM oe_order_headers_all oeh,
    oe_order_lines_all oel,
    mtl_system_items_b mtlb,
    mtl_onhand_quantities_detail mtld
    WHERE oel.header_id = oeh.header_id
    AND oel.inventory_item_id = mtlb.inventory_item_id
    AND oel.ship_from_org_id = mtlb.organization_id
    AND oel.inventory_item_id = mtld.inventory_item_id
    AND oel.ship_from_org_id = mtld.organization_id
    AND oel.flow_status_code = 'AWAITING_SHIPPING'
    AND mtld.subinventory_code = 'Warehouse'
    GROUP By mtlb.segment1,mtlb.description,oel.ordered_quantity
    ORDER BY mtlb.segment1;
i have executed the above query. Quantity_in_Whouse is showing double the actual available quantity.
    item_number item_description Quantity_in_Whouse PQuantity_in_SOrder
    210020004000011 item1 278300 100
    210020004000013 item3 55350 125
when i executed the below query, Quantity_in_Whouse is showing 139050 and 27550 respectively.
    SELECT mtlb.segment1 Item_Number,
    mtlb.description,
    sum(mtld.primary_transaction_quantity) Quantity_in_Whouse

    WHERE mtlb.inventory_item_id = mtld.inventory_item_id
    AND mtlb.organization_id ; = mtld.organization_id
    AND mtld.subinventory_code LIKE 'Warehouse'
    and mtlb.segment1 in ('210020004000011','210020004000013')
    group by mtlb.segment1, mtlb.description
    ORDER BY mtlb.segment1;
    item_number item_description Quantity_in_Whouse
    210020004000011 item1 139050
    210020004000013 item3 27550
please give some solution so that i can display Quantity_in_Whouse as 139050 and 27550 .
if i am any thing wrong please rectify me.
    Thanks in advance.

  • Need assistance with conditional join in SQL

    Hi All -
I need to ask for help with this query:
    Create table user_tab_col_test (table_name varchar2(30), column_name varchar2(30), data_type varchar2(30));
    Insert into user_tab_col_test (table_name, column_name, data_type) values ('table1', 'column1', 'varchar2')
    Insert into user_tab_col_test (table_name, column_name, data_type) values ('table1', 'column2', 'varchar2')
    Insert into user_tab_col_test (table_name, column_name, data_type) values ('table1', 'column3', 'varchar2')
    Insert into user_tab_col_test (table_name, column_name, data_type) values ('table1', 'column4', 'varchar2')
    Insert into user_tab_col_test (table_name, column_name, data_type) values ('table2', 'column1', 'varchar2')
    Insert into user_tab_col_test (table_name, column_name, data_type) values ('table2', 'column2', 'varchar2')
    Insert into user_tab_col_test (table_name, column_name, data_type) values ('table2', 'column3', 'varchar2')
    Insert into user_tab_col_test (table_name, column_name, data_type) values ('table2', 'column4', 'varchar2')
    Commit;
    Create table all_cons_columns_test (table_name varchar2(30), column_name varchar2(30), constraint_name varchar2(30))
    Insert into all_cons_columns_test (table_name, column_name, constraint_name) values ('table1', 'column1', 'primary')
    Insert into all_cons_columns_test (table_name, column_name, constraint_name) values ('table1', 'column1', 'secondary')
    Commit;
This is my query and the current result:
    Select u.table_name, u.column_name, c.constraint_name
    From user_tab_col_test u
    Left outer join all_cons_columns_test c
    On ( u.table_name = c.table_name
    AND U.COLUMN_NAME = C.COLUMN_NAME
    AND C.CONSTRAINT_NAME IN ('primary'))
    order by U.table_name, U.COLUMN_NAME;
    TABLE_NAME COLUMN_NAME CONSTRAINT_NAME
    table1 column1 primary
    table1 column2
    table1 column3
    table2 column1
    table2 column2
    Three questions:
    1) I only want to return results where table_name = 'table1'. I can't seem to get this to work.
    2) Is my query proper and is this the best way to return my desired results? I.e. I want all columns from user_tab_col_test and I only want to display the constraint_name from all_cons_columns_test if the constraint_name = 'primary'.
    3) Will the synatx be the same if I need to join a third table to all_cons_columns_test?
Any advice/suggestions are much appreciated -
    john

    Hi,
    user703358 wrote:
... ALL_CONSTRAINTS_TEST joins to ALL_CONS_COLUMNS_TEST on TABLE_NAME and CONSTRAINT_NAME. If you adapt this to use the data dictionary views ALL_CONSTRAINTS and ALL_CONS_COLUMNS, then rememeber to join on the OWNER column, also.
Ultimately I want to use ALL_CONSTRAINTS_TEST.CONSTRAINT_TYPE = 'P' in my WHERE clause, instead of C.CONSTRAINT_NAME IN (primary), only because the constraint_type is a more definitive attribute than just the name of the constraint.
I tried something like the query below but I'm getting
    ORA-00904: "U"."COLUMN_NAME": invalid identifier
    00904. 00000 - "%s: invalid identifier"

Error at Line: 8 Column: 16Errors like that are caused by trying to mix old join syntax with ANSI join syntax in the same query.
    SELECT    u.table_name
    ,       u.column_name
    ,       C.CONSTRAINT_NAME
    FROM           USER_TAB_COL_TEST      U,
ALL_CONSTRAINTS_TEST ACAbove is an example of an old-style join: there is a comma between the table names, and the join conditions are included in the WHERE clause below.
    LEFT OUTER JOIN  all_cons_columns_test  c
    ON    u.table_name    = c.table_name
AND   U.COLUMN_NAME    = C.COLUMN_NAMEThis is an example of an ANSI-style join: the keyword JOIN appears between the table names, and the join conditions are right here, after the keyword ON.
    WHERE      U.TABLE_NAME    = 'table1'
    AND C.TABLE_NAME = AC.TABLE_NAME
    AND C.CONSTRAINT_NAME = AC.CONSTRAINT_NAME
    and AC.CONSTRAINT_TYPE = 'P'
    ORDER BY  u.table_name
    ,           u.column_name
;While it is possible to use both join styles in the same query, it's a really bad idea. I suggest always using ANSI syntax, especially for outer joins, but whatever style you choose, use it consistently for all joins in the same query.
In this case, you want an inner join between tablec c and ac, so the ANSI syntax would be something like
FROM  u  LEFT OUTER JOIN c ON ... JOIN ac ON ...In this case, it's very important that the inner join between c and ac is done before the outer join with u. How can you make sure that happens? Well, if you have an arithmetic expression such as
12 * 5 - 1and you want to make sure the subtraction of 1 from 5 takes place before the multiplication by 12, what do you do? You can add parentheses:
12 * ( 5 - 1 )In ANSI join syntax, you can use parentheses the same way:
FROM  u  LEFT OUTER JOIN ( c ON ... JOIN ac ON ... )or, in full:
    SELECT    u.table_name
    ,        u.column_name
    ,        c.constraint_name
    ,       ac.constraint_type
    FROM             user_tab_col_test      u
    LEFT OUTER JOIN  (
                             all_cons_columns_test  c
               JOIN  all_constraints_test   ac
                                 ON   ac.table_name     = c.table_name
                          AND  ac.constraint_name     = c.constraint_name
                            ON    u.table_name       = c.table_name
                   AND   u.column_name       = c.column_name
                   AND   ac.constraint_type  = 'P'
    WHERE       u.table_name     = 'table1'
    ORDER BY  u.table_name
    ,            u.column_name
    ;Output:

    Hi,
If you want all the rows from goh, then you don't want any conditions like  goh.OFFER_NO <> 0.
Make all the joins to goh outer joins, and make all conditions that apply to any tables joined to goh (or to tables joined to them) part of the join condition, like this:
    FROM             APPS_JP.GEDIS_OFFER_HEADER     goh
    LEFT OUTER JOIN  APPS_JP.GEDIS_ORDER_BUILDS     gob  ON   gob.OFFER_NO = goh.OFFER_NO
                                                         AND  gob.BUILD_NO = 1
    LEFT OUTER JOIN  APPS_JP.GEDIS_ORDER_LINES      gol  ON   gol.OFFER_NO = goh.OFFER_NO
                                                         AND  gol.BUILD_NO = 1
                                                         AND  gol.LINE_NO  = 1
    LEFT OUTER JOIN  APPS_JP.GEDIS_OFFER_RELATED_CUSTOMER
                                                    gorc ...
I hope this answers your question.
If not, post a little sample data (CREATE TABLE and INSERT statements, relevant columns only) for all the tables involved, and the results you want from that data.
Simplify the problem as much as possible.  For example, do you really need all those tables to show what the problem is?  Of course, you need them in tyour real query, but if you understand a solution that only involves 4 or 5 tables, you'll know how to apply it to any number of tables.
Explain, using specific examples, how you get those results from that data.Always say what version of Oracle you're using (e.g. 11.2.0.2.0).

  • In-different behaviour of join condition

My query is of in-different behaviour of join condition with join between a varchar2 column and a number column. I am using the following join condition :-
    CM.UPDATED_BY=to_char(LM.LOGIN_ID)
where CM.UPDATED_BY is a varchar2 column and LM.LOGIN_ID is a number column. Now, CM.UPDATED_BY also has number only but some previous & old data is having varchar2 data. So, for that reason, i put the to_char before LM.LOGIN_ID, otherwise, only
    CM.UPDATED_BY=to_char(LM.LOGIN_ID)
would having been okay. Now, my real question is that the query with the condition,
    CM.UPDATED_BY=to_char(LM.LOGIN_ID)
works fine as long as there is no 'character' data in 'CM.UPDATED_BY'. If i put the condition:
    CM.UPDATED_BY=to_char(LM.LOGIN_ID)
then, the query is taking too long and the output is also not coming. Please help in solving my doubt as i need it resolved urgently.

    1) Did you intend for all 4 join conditions to be identical? From the text of your question, it sounds like some of the conditions should be different.
    2) How do you compare the running time when CM.UPDATED_BY has non-numerica data and when it has numeric data? If you are altering the data in the table, are you reanalyzing the table between runs? Is there a difference in the query plan in the two cases?

  • Very urgent (using join conditions in PI)

    Hi PI gurus.
My scenario is SOAP to JDBC(Portal Webdynpro screen to Oracle database).
I have a requirement to fetch some complex data from the database using complex nested queries. How can i go ahead using join conditions in PI.Here the client is insisiting only on queries and rejected all other methods for solving this like
    1)Java proxies
2)stored procedures written in the database system
3)Create a logical view in database system .
The following option is permitted for me by the client to follow
    ·  Using the SQL_QUERY as a query method in the JDBC Receiver Channel in XI
    · Trying out JOIN conditions to make multiple query into a single query:- Here need to check the feasibility of the JOIN Condition
Please help me to complete our task.
points will be rewarded for helpful answers.

  • How to influence join condition in Adhoc analysis

We have a subject area created that has *2 facts tables*. In one of the adhoc reports, the report query is taking the join from the second fact table instead of the first fact table for columns picked from common dimensions. Need to know how to influence join condition in Adhoc analysis, or OBIEE criteria with which the fact to make a join is chosen.
Requirement is to have a count of records in Dimension table, based on first fact - failure part, and then second fact - failure reason.

    Hi User,

  • DB view - join conditions order

    Hi gurus
I wonder if, while creating a DB view, the order of join conditions will affect the overall performance. In my case, i need to join COEP, COBK and TKA01. Actually the join conditions are, in this order:
    COEP     MANDT     =     TKA01     MANDT
    COEP     KOKRS     =     TKA01     KOKRS
    COBK     MANDT     =     COEP     MANDT
    COBK     KOKRS     =     COEP     KOKRS
    COBK     BELNR     =     COEP     BELNR
To achieve a better performance, may I change the order (up/down or left/right)?

As far as i know you cannot create relationships between non-db-blocks (or maybe you can create them, but they will not work).Hi
Oh yes u can for query purposes only e.g. suppose i have dept table and emp table created Master Block as non-db dept_no & Dept_name and a Detail_block with emp tabel and a dept_no as a foreign key ...
    1. we either set up a form relation ship between the two blocks - if we want the user to retrieve data only -
    2. or we use copy value property in the dept_no item in the detail block to get the copied value from the dept_no of the master to the dept_no of the detail
3.While the user entered or select the dept_no in the Master Block then Press Entered here comes the role of the WHEN-BLOCK-INSTANCE Trigger
    GO_BLOCK('DEATIL_BLOCK_NAME');
EXECUTE_QUERY;Here the data will be displayed in the detail block accordingly ...
So the relation here played the role of the Where Statment or the default where to filter the displaing of data in the Detail Block according to the Master Block

  • Join condition validation error in owb 10gR2

    Hi friends,
When I tried to validate the join condition in the mapping im getting the below error like
an error occurred during expression validation, bad expression return type
When I googled for the above error, I got the below link mentioning like a bug for that join condition validation problem
    https://forums.oracle.com/thread/717194
In which it is mentioned like a BugNo: 7417869 for that issue.
Is there any fix for that bug??
    Thanks in advance.

    Dear Allan,
Happy to get reply from you and sorry for my late reply as im been stuck with other work
Like you said, I downloaded the required patch 4898608 for the validation bug in mapping with owb 10.2.0.4. By viewing the readme.txt file of the patch I followed the below steps like
Set the ORACLE_HOME environment variable to point to the OWB Home
    Add $ORACLE_HOME/OPatch  in the PATH
Stopped the runtime service using the supplied SQL*PLUS script stop_service.sql as a rep_owner
          OWB_HOME/rtp/sql/stop_service.sql
After the above three steps I applied the opatch like below in cmd prompt
    C:\orahome\10gR3_1\OPatch>opatch version
    Invoking OPatch 10.2.0.4.9
    OPatch Version: 10.2.0.4.9

  • Identify join condition between any two table.

    Hi,

As per my knowledge if my datasource is based upon infoset query , then I can go to SQ02 and find the underlying join condition. But in this case, I have only table names. How do i find whether they are interlinked or not.
