Need ipod syncing help!!!!
Hello, back in september my Itunes PC crashed. I downloaded itunes for my new pc and plugged my ipod in to sync it up, it does not sync in the normal section anymore and shows up under devices (on the left hand side) it does not give me the option to look at artwork normally that way or organize my library the same way. (its kind of like when you plug a friends ipod into your itunes and it pops up as "friends ipod" and you can browse there stuff but not save it to your library) I wish tosave teh contents of my ipod with the itunes library. Any ideas on what to do? I'm not to tech oriented but can try and get by. Any help would be great! Thanks guys!

So I have a 2nd gen iPod touch, and I buy all my music straight off of iTunes app. My old Mac computer (Let's call it Mac1) had all of my songs that I had bought on there prior to when we replaced it (may 2011). Then, we got Mac2. I can't put my songs that I bought after May 2011 onto Mac2, because it will only let me delete my ENTIRE library on my iPod (which has all of my purchased music on it). I don't want to lose those songs that I spent my money on. How do I make my iPod sync to a new computer and get the iPod's songs onto the computer?

When I bought my ipod touch I set it up at work. But now we can't have itunes at work so I have to use my home computer. But when I go on my home computer, it cannot sync my ipod as it says it's not the default computer. I have unistalled it on my work computer. I have installed itunes at home. My ipad syncs but it doesn't recognize my ipod. Help!!

In desperate need of sync help
Having spent the afternoon reading, I know I am beating a dead horse but I really really need to get this solved. I have a brand new iTV fresh out of the box today. It has all the latest upgrades (4.4.3). I am running iTunes 10.5.2 on OSX 10.6.8. I am on a wireless network that I don't know much about. It sees my libraries and can stream from iTunes to iTV but I am unable to see iTV on the device list in iTunes (in fact there is no device list) in order to sync. I have turned off my firewall and tried every imaginable combination of restarting, resetting, etc. I have a somewhat urgent need to get some movie files pushed to the iTV box ASAP.
Surely there is solution to this issue by now? ANY AND ALL HELP VERY MUCH APPRECIATED. NOTE: I am not a tech-head --especially when it comes to ports, networking, IP addresses, pinging IP addresses, etc.

P.S. In the lower right corner of the iTunes interfaced is a switch that lets me decide whether to play things locally or through iTV --this, in combination with the ability to stream leads me to believe that they are talking at some level. MYou will not see the apple tv in your device list. There no syncing betwen itunes and the apple tv.
What is in lower right hand corner is for Air play only. -
My iPod touch keeps freezing over and over even after I hold down both buttons!!!!! I hold down both buttons then it works for awhile....then it goes right back to the white screen!! I've already restored it 4 times!!! I've only have had it for a couple years and no major damage has ever been done. Any other help!!!

After that don't use the latest backup to restore from, it might contain corrupt files causing your problem. -
I synced my ipod to my laptop first then i got a desktop and synced it and had to go back to my laptop for a while and now it won't sync back to the desktop. Why?

Need a little help with syncing my iPod.
I got a new macbook pro for cristmas and a few cds. After i tried to sync my ipod to itunes i put a symbol next to each song that i got from other cds saying that they were downloading but they werent. Also the cds i downloaded to my ipod for the first time didnt appear at all. Need help.

I do have a sony 7. reciever str de-995 its an older one but its only for my cpu. At first i didnt even have THX installed because it didnt come with the driver package for some reason until i downloaded the daniel_k support drivers and installed it. But it doesnt help in anyway.
I have checked every where regarding the first question and alot of people are having problems getting sound out of there rear channels and the sound being re-mapped to the surround right and the surround left as if there rear left and rear right.
I read somewhere that the daniel_k support drivers would fix this but it didnt for me and many others.
For the second question i assumed it would be becasue of the spidf pass through and that my onboard sound card was inferior to the xfi titaniums. But i wasnt sure and i was hopeing that someone would have a solution for that problem because i miss controlling the volume with my keyboard. -
About three days ago my ipod said i needed to sync and so i did . when i did it stop working and the wifi is grey out and says no wifi . Ive tried rebooting it , reseting , restarting but nothing seems to work . Can anybody help me ? Please !

I believe that when you reset your ipod(command given from the computer, right?) touch WHILE the ipod was updating, It cleared the system in the middle of writing files, thus corrupting(equivalent of cutting of in the middle of a sentence) the basic running system.
I suggest you go to an apple store and ask for a technical diagonosis in person. they may offer to help if the problem is fixable. If your ipod is still under warrenty, i would guess it would be free/low cost.

I have an iphone 4 16 gb and got an ipod touch 64 gb because i needed more momory. i need to sycn everything from my iphone 4 to my ipod touch 5th gen i just bought. i just downloaded the latest version of itunes as well. To be honest, the newest version of itunes is hard to use and not as user friendly in my opinion - or i may not know how to use it yet. Anyways, i tried to backup my iphone to itunes and then restore my new ipod from the backup of the iphone 4, but it only backed up phoyos, contacts, and two other things (games was not one of them). Then when I restored my ipod, that is all that downloaded onto the ipod as well. I would really appreciate if someone would be able to provide me with detailed instructions as to how to be able to download everything from my iphone 4 to my ipod touch 5th generation. Thanks in advance!
Well first you need to sync your iPhone 4 with your Mac/PC so that it will transfer all your music, apps, podcasts, etc. Then sync your iPod Touch and the media you selected during the sync should be there on your iPhone. If you have difficulty in transferring media from iPhone to your computer, try softwares like TransCopy. They will help in transferring data from your iphone to your computer. Dont forget to check that all the transferred data is in the iTunes media folder so that the iTunes can locate the files. Link to Transcopy software :

When i connect my iPod nano to my Macbook pro, it opens itunes and everything and will sync for about 2 seconds and then say a file is missing and it cannot sync and i dont want to reset setting or anything because i want all my music. what do i do!? Im not sure if i need to sync it either, i just want to music on my iPod to my macbook. Help!
If you've read the Technical Specification you will find that the nano can only use Firewire for charging, not for syncing:

Help: Capturing photos from camera while iPod sync
Big problem...
I started my canon sd600 camera to start capturing 90 pictures from my wife's birthay, but I was also sincronizing my ipod and both libraries are in an external LaCie drive.
Immediately after I turned on camera, the iPod Sync failed and also all pictures within iPhoto dissapeared... they were showing an admiration mark... I could only see the pictures just imported from the camera...
The only way I was able to see all pictures was to quit iPhoto and choose again the library. However, when I did this... there were NO pictures just captured!!!!!
Sadly I selected to delete the pictures in my camera after downloading them... Now I lost 90 pictures...
I believe they have to be somewhere since they were effectively captured... just need help to find them!

Do a search on Macupdate using 'recover photos' and you'll get a lot of suggestions for Software that will recover the photos from your card.

Ipod synced to two accounts? Help!!
In 2011 I believe, I recieved a 4th Generation Ipod touch. I connected it to the home computer which was signed into my mom's account. I made my own apple I.D. so it would let me purchase my own music. When I would plug it in to my computer all of my songs would sync and I could use music from both accounts. Now When I plug it into that computer it says my ipod is not authorized. I also just recently got a new laptop. I am trying to move my music form my account that I have purchased onto it but it says that I am not authorized. Agh! I need some serious help. I need to update my ipod and keep all of my music while doing so. What do I do?
With your new computer you should be able to download iTunes on to it first. Then for all of the songs that you purchased with you own iTunes account you should be able to download those songs to the new computer as well. You may need to deauthorize you mother's computer from your account as well.
To deauthorize a computer you:
Sign in to iTunes with the appropriate Apple id on your mother’s computer
Go to the iTunes store. Look in the Apple ID summary section of the Account information page you should see a section that says computer authorizations. This lets you know how many computers you are authorized to use your Apple ID.
Below that in the 'iTunes in the cloud' section, look at the Manage devices section. This lets you know which devices you can use to download songs you have purchased.
If you want to deauthorize you mother's computer click on music on the top left so you can see you music library. Then go to store in the drop down menu and choose deauthorize this computer
Authorization is in the same place as deauhtorization; and you can authorize your new computer on the iTunes you downloaded to that computer. This would allow you to use two computers to download files and, if necessary make backups and or restore your device.
If push comes to shove you can find the folder that has all of your music your mother’s computer and manually copy and paste them to an usb drive. Then copy and paste them to the iTunes music folder on your new computer.

help i have updated my ipod touch to 4.3.3 and itunes to 10.3 and now it wont open on my pc i can access apps but no music as it cant sync help! itunes wont open at all or reconise the ipod
