Need last steps to Whiten Teeth

I chose Guided/Perfect Portrait/Whiten Teeth. The teeth were selected, but how do I make it whiten them. It just sits there. And if I choose Done, it still doesn't whiten them, it just removes the selection dashed lines. I know I can overall lighten the picture, but then the skin looks pale. I tried to select the teeth and lighten, but again, it just sits there and doesn't lighten just that area.

While using Perfect portrait, did you skip / jumble the steps ?
For guided Edit to work perfectly for you, you need to follow the steps one by one. Try once again on a JPEG image without skipping any step or moving randomly. Move step by step.
Also, if you dont want to make any other changes apart from Whiten teeth, Go to Expert mode/Full Edit. From the Tools panel, Select Smart Brush Tool.
Select Whiten teeth from the presets in the options bar and select the teeth in the image. This should work.

Need last steps to make Despeckle feature work

I have a photo that is grainy due to low lighting. As such, the skirt on a subject looks grainy, like a tweed fabric, which it shouldn't be. I tried to Quick Selector the area, then Expert/Filter/Noise/Despeckle, but the coloring didn't blend at all. How do I make it work?

I came to Lightroom quite recently (in the last month!) from Photoshop Elements 11. I like the organization features in LR better, but for adjustments such as the ones that you mentioned I would leave LR and go back to Photoshop Elements 11, primarily because that is what I know. I don't use the subscription service, mainly because I already owned and installed the boxed version of Photoshop Elements 11 and adding it to a subscription service with Lightroom seemed redundant. I am sure someone in the community will (or has) comment(ed) that it is possible to whiten teeth and cure blemishes within LR, but I haven't figured out how to do that yet. Check out the TV Adobe free tutorials, particularly Julianne Kost's tutorials. She has a good presentation style and you might find the LR answer that you need with detailed instructions.

Setting up logging - last step not working for me.

My setup:
Airport Extreme
G4 Gigabit Ethernet PowerMac with original Airport card
OS X 10.4.2
Here's what I've done so far:
1. In either AirPort Admin Utility entered the logging computer's IP address in the "Send Base Station Logging to" field. I entered the assigned static private IP of the G4 "10.0.1.201."
2. On the G4, I logged in with an administrator account.
3. I executed these commands in Terminal:
# sudo touch /var/log/AirPort.log
# sudo pico /etc/syslog.conf
4. I scrolled to the bottom of the file, and added this line:
local0.* /var/log/AirPort.log
I added tabs between * and / to get the text lined up with the other entries in the file.
5. I pressed Control-O, Return, and Control-X to save the file.
6. I executed this command:
# sudo pico /etc/rc
OK, this is where things go awry...
7. I tried to find this line...
/usr/sbin/syslogd -s -m 0
...using Control-W. But, there's nothing like it in /etc/rc. So, I can't continue here. I realize the last steps are:
8. And change it to:
/usr/sbin/syslogd -m 0
9. To save and close the file, press Control-O, Return, and Control-X.
10. Restart the computer.
So, it seems like I'm missing something here. Any advice is welcomed.

In 10.4 you need to instead edit /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.apple.syslogd.plist and add:
<string>-u</string>
directly below:
<string>/usr/sbin/syslogd</string>
There's more detail in the article; that's the short of it.

Save Report before last Step

I have a vi that I created that takes a Teststand Report, cleans it up and modifies it in several ways (including changing the filename and saving it on a server). The problem is that I must wait for Teststand to finish the sequence and save the report before I run this vi. I would like to call this vi as the last vi in my sequence and have it do its magic automatically.
I suspect that in order to do so, I must modify the TestStandModel.Seq but I do not have much experience in this. Is their anyway to save the html file that it is building (tempReport) before the last step so I can have my last action modify it. Another possibility might be to complete all steps, build report, then call the vi after I (the user) declines to proceed to
next UUT. BTW, I only ever have a report for one UUT so the html report only represents one run through the sequence.

Since you mentioned you don�t have a lot of experience with the process model, I'll explain to you a little how that works and then tell you how you can solve your problem.
The process model (SequentialModel.seq if you are using the sequential process model) is the sequence that handles the execution of your tests. When you select Test UUTs a sequence called Test UUTs is executed. It asks you for the serial number, calls you main sequence, reports the results, generates the report, and continues in a loop until the user declines to continue with the next UUT.
The Test UUTs sequence calls other sequences in the same sequence file. It calls PreUUT Loop before it starts looping several UUTs, it calls PreUUT before testing every UUT, it calls MainSequence, it calls PostUUT after every UUT is tested, and finally, it calls PostUUT Loop when the user declines to execute the next UUT after generating the report.
These sequences are configured as callback sequences. You can override callback sequences in the process model in your own sequence file. Actually, you are already doing that. I mentioned above that the process model call a sequence called Main Sequence. Well in your own sequence file you have a sequence called Main Sequence, so your Main Sequence executes instead of the Main Sequence of the process model (which is empty).
You can do the same with the rest of the callbacks. What you need to do is override the PostUUT Loop callback in your sequence and call your VI in this sequence. This will execute when you decline to go to the next UUT.
What you need to do is go the edit menu in TestStand and select Sequence File callback. Here you have a list of callbacks that you can override. You will see that you are already overriding the MainSequence callback. Select the PostUUTLoop callback and click add. Now your sequence file will have a sequence called PostUUTLoop that will be executed when you decline to go to the next UUT.

HT5022 Airport Utility 5.6 won't install. Gets to the last step and fails. Why?

I have an older Airport Extreme so I need to install Airport Utility 5.6 as 6 does not recognize it. The download goes fine and installation proceeds until the last step of the installation (cleaning up) when it fails. I'm using Lion. Suggestions?

Apple will not let you install AirPort Utility 5.6 on Lion 10.7.4 (or 10.7.5) if you have updated the operating system.
You might want to study a workaround in this thread.

Database restore; database recover; Last step?

Ok, this is my first try with rman to restore and recover from tape.
My restore database finished successfully...no errors.
My recover database finished successfully...no errors.
Now...what is my last step?
Do I shut down and open back up normally, or, do I need to do something like shut down, then open with reset logs?
I'm guessing a full database backup after this re-opening would be a good idea too, no?

I don't have the need to make many DVDs. I was doing this for someone who's grandfather, a D-Day veteran was featured in one of the videos for the website of the newspaper where I work. It turns out that the DVD looks right on the widescreen TV, but not on my monitors. I could not find an answer to something that apparently was not a problem in the first place. I learned a lot from the various discussions and will be reading more of them, more often in the future.

last week I exchanged my 1 TB HD with an 128GB SSD drive. Because I know how hard it is to open the back panel I documented my progress with pictures for you.
To sum it up, you need:
Fingernails (essential)
two screwdrivers (essential)
Paperclips (nice to have)
fork (nice to have)
The Trick is to use every millimeter you can between the back panel and the main frame. You stuff it with one of the mentioned tools and search for a new space between the back panel and the main frame. When you have a bigger opening use the screwdrivers. I don't have the time to describe every step of the opening, just look at the pictures - you should get the idea. Be careful to only leverage screwdrivers against the gray areas preferabel when you notice metal under it. Don't leverage against the orange parts, they might break.

The step (CREATE BATCH INPUT SESSION) shows this error :

Diagnosis

Why is that? This is the last step.

Select the session in SM35 and process this record in "Display only Error" mode. This will let you see where in AS02 the error is coming and help you identify the correction that is needed.

I am one last step to make ADF working on a Tomcat 6. I know from john and shay, that this is not free, nor "supported". But as soon as I cam manage to have something like this working, I say that I am going to make my company work so we can have it on a Weblogic Bea server. But these days we need to have my ADF Application Working on a Tomcat 6, becouse all other apps from the company are working there. I know now what mds means. They are the Data Source connection from datatables (the data controls). I know, I know... in my application i am not using these data controls, nor any connection, but, who knows why adf is trying to access this? maybe is becouse there is a class that call this method. Is it possible to avoid these calls??
Thank you very much for the help you can give, Once again, I must say this is not supported by ADF developers, but you must know that we as developers also, must accomplish some others constraints and restrictions. I must say, that I dont like it like this either, but I think adf can do much more than other jsf components.

I don't disagree with anything you've said. However:
1). Oracle (I don't work for them, by the way) controls the engineering and certification effort to certify ADF on application servers. Right now, they only support WebLogic and haven't as of yet articulated any clear way forward for any other app servers
2). ADF is easy to learn the basics, but (as would be the case for any enterprise framework), it will take you months+ to really learn and understand.
Believe me, I have fought the same battles with regards to application servers with my clients - they may have standardized on something like Tomcat, Glassfish, etc, but I would never recommend to a company that they run critical ADF 11g applications on anything but WLS, because it is the only platform I am confident will work and will be supported (i.e., Oracle will fix things that don't work). I also know from experience that trying to shoehorn an ADF 11g app on to Tomcat is hit-and-miss and fragile at best. Obviously, this is just my opinion ;)
I agree that ADF 11g gives a compelling story and has a lot of benefit to those who are willing to make the investment required to learn it. Unfortunately, at the current time, you also have to invest in getting WLS up and running in order for you to have a supported environment. As you've probably seen from the forums, many people have tried and have had varying degrees of success with it. I wish you all the best in getting it to work, but it's not the approach I would follow personally.

You can also check your adf-config.xml file (located in the .adf directory, or look in JDeveloper in the application navigator under Application Resources -> Descriptors -> ADF-META-INF) to ensure you don't have stuff like:

When i connect my ipod touch to the computer and it brings up itunes, and it starts syncing, it just stays on the last step(6) and I can't download anything else to my ipod.

I connected my ipod touch to the computer. When it brings up itunes and start to sync, it stalls at the last step (6). This keeps me from being able to add other songs from my library to my ipod. I'm very new at this and maybe just don't understand how it works.

Simply put , DELETE_DOC and DELETE_REV are not "scriptable" services. <$executeService$> will not work in this fashion with those services.
