NEED LATEST iPAD UPDATE???

i just bought a used ipad from someone and its running 3.2.2. is that the latest software update? i tried to sync and it said it wont sync some apps cause i dont have the latest software but on itues when i "check for updates" nothing happens.

It may refer to something other than the iOS version. For example, your signature says you're on Mac OS X 10.4, but the tech specs page, http://www.apple.com/ipad/specs/ says you need at least 10.5 (and iTunes 9.1). Are you meeting those requirements?

I deleted one track from my iPad library when connected and visible in iTunes on my computer, I then dragged the same track from my iTunes library back onto the iPad. It copied and done a sync. When I went into my iPad music on the device itself it sat updating the library for around a minute then everything was there!

Trouble with the latest ipad update 4.3.3

Today I updated my iPad with the lastest update 4.3.3. It shows I'm connected to my wireless network with the 3 radial bars. When I check the systems settings it recognized my router, yet when I try to get mail or browse the internet I get a message saying "Safari cannot open the page because it is not connected to the internet. How do I resolve this?

I restarted and it works!!! I held the home button and the lock button until the apple appeared. All is good in the world again!

Unable to boot computer iMac intel after downloading and installing latest iPad software

I downloaded and installed the latest iPad software and my iMac will now not boot up. The iMac was getting a little slow just prior. Is one year old and this is the first problem. I have put the system DVD in and rolled back a couple weeks. Still no start up.

There is no rollback feature on the OSX disc (which version of OSX is this, Leopard, Snow Leopard?) so I am unable to understand this unless you are referring to a restore from Time Machine, is this what you did?

Ok so you want Apple to address the problem, but yet you don't want to take it to them just in case they can't fix it? What if they can fix it? Complaining here certainly won't fix it.

You need to update itunes on the computer not the ipad.

If you are currently running an iOS lower than 5.0, connect to your computer & click on the "Update your device using iTunes".
Tip - You may need to disable your firewall and anitvirus software temporarily. Then download and install the iOS update. Be sure and backup your iPad before the iOS update. After you update to iOS 5/6.x, the next update can be installed via wifi (i.e., not connected to your computer).

When I try to send something from my iPad pages via email to be opened on my desktop in Pages, it won't open in Pages. I get a message that it can't be opened because the version is too old. I sent the document as a PDF and it worked. But I want to be able to use Pages back and forth. HOw do I update the Pages version on my desktop iMac?

The file format used by the iOS versions of the iWork apps can only be read by the new iWork apps on your Mac - i.e. Keynote 6, Pages 5 & Numbers 3. Those versions for the Mac require Mavericks, OS X 10.9. The "too old" error on a Mac comes if you are trying to open an iWork '08 or earlier file in the newest apps. If you do have the newest apps you can open the files from your iPad.
If you can't or don't want to upgrade to Mavericks & the newest iWork apps your best option would be to export/share the files from the iPad to a type an older version of iWork can read such as Word, text, Excel, etc.
Or contact AppleCare. They made this mess, let them fix it.

You may have many apps open which can possibly cause the slowdown and possibly the loss of wifi. In iOS 4-6 double tap your Home button & at the bottom of the screen you will see the icons of all open apps. Close those you are not using by pressing on an icon until all icons wiggle - then tap the minus sign. For iOS 7 users, there’s an easy way to see which apps are open in order to close them. By double-tapping the home button on your iPhone or iPad, the new multitasking feature in iOS 7 shows full page previews of all your open apps. Simply scroll horizontally to see all your apps, and close the apps with a simple flick towards the top of the screen.
