I'm looking for a way to deal with Windows Performance Monitor on XE db- I've found documentation on Oracle Counters tool but im not able to initiate it (db or client)- is it available on XE? or is there any other option to work with Performance Monitor?

Which Performance Monitoring Tool is good for Weblogic?

Please advise me on good performance monitoring software. Budget is no issue.
A typical performance monitoring tool has:
Server monitoring
Application server monitoring
Database monitoring
Web services monitoring
Virtualization monitoring
An example is ManageEngine's Applications Manager
currenty, I want to monitor:
1 - BEA Weblogic server 8.1
2 - Oracle 9i Rel 2
Once I can identify the bottlenecks, recommendation for hardware / software upgrade can be made easily.

Java - Weblogic performance monitoring tool

Hi there,
I would like to use a performance monitoring tool for the JVM 1.2.2.x running on weblogic5.1,
I understand this is quite old version of JVM and already EOL. However We are having performance issue needs to be addressed ASAP.

Error installing Oracle Counters for Windows Performance Monitor

Hello,
I have installed Oracle EE 11g 11.2.0.1.0 on a Windows 2008 R2 server. Now, I am using the Oracle Universal Installer to install the Oracle Counters for Windows Performance Monitor 11.2.0.1.0
Source path is D:\Share\11gR2_win32_11gR2_database_install\database\stage\products.xml
Installation Type is Custom
Install Location is C:\app\dmadmin
Path is C:\app\dmadmin\OraHome_1
I de-select all product components and select the following two:
Oracle Windows Interfaces 11.2.0.1.0
Oracle Counters for Windows Performance Monitor 11.2.0.1.0
I get the following error:
OUI-10150:Error: A runtime exception occurred while setting s_digCfgNamingLabelSIDnull in component Database 11g 11.2.0.1.0 . Installation cannot continue for this component.
I am given the choice of Stop installation of all products and Stop installation of this component only which both result in non-installation of selected component.
Does anyone have any advice or solutions for this error? I have tried re-booting the server, but get the same error.

OUI from ORACLE_HOME (OH\oui\bin\setup.exe) cannot be used to install components from 11.2.0.1 installation media (products.xml)
This is documented, but I am not able to locate it now.
Have you checked if the Performance Monitor files are already installed or not?

Might anyone know of a free performace monitoring tool? Just I've used the monitoring part of Mercury before, it makes nice graphs of memory use. Is there some free equivalent out there?

Performance monitoring tool for Essbase

Currently we are using Zabbix to monitor the resource usage of Essbase database (CPU, memory, disk IO, etc).
We would like to know is there are any other web based monitoring tools that can monitor down to process level. The existing Windows performance monitor is relatively complex and also lack of web based interface for administrator to monitor the processes easily.
We are also looking at Quest Spotlight for Windows but not yet fully explored its capability. We would like to know if there are other choices used by other Essbase administrators.

Database Performance Monitoring

Hi,
I use oracle 11.2.0.2.0,IBM AIX 6.1 operating System.
My client/User complainting that the Application process is taking long time than usual,especially when they implementing some module in their applications.
So when i closely monitoring my production(LIVE) database at the time of implementation,im unable to find any issues in DB side.So what are all the possibile areas to be focus on this situation?
I really thinks it could also possible that the issue belongs to the Network failure/bandwith running slow.
So what i really expect is ,Are they any monitoring tool or any trigger applicable/available for this scenario?

for information ,Here i post my actuall scenario
Only in two out of 200 client branches ,the application performance was taking long time than usual,
So that i enable trace (TKPROOF)for that corresponding sessions,also i generate and analyze AWR report durig that particular time,
I found that no issues from database side.Later i come to know the actual issue was being in the Network side(i.e Network speed was very poor).
So henceforth,i have been asked that if the problem persists again,i need to make ensure that the problem which not belongs to Network part before go and check
database performance.
So any tool or monitoring script or any packages available to make ensure that the actuall problem not belongs to Network related issues,befor check DB performance.

HP loadrunner report for database performance

client testing team gave us a report for database, from load runner and asked if the database load testing parameters is correct on the basis of below mentioned 4 parameters. You can Generate AWR(Automatic Workload Repository) and ADDM(Automatic Database Diagnostic Monitor) Reports to see the performance.
They are similar to staspack report with more information.
