Need mirror for discontinued motherboards BIOS

Hello, i think its has been more than one year that i cant get access from msi site to download BIOS from old motherboards
they all refer to website root
like
http://www.msi.com.tw/program/support/bios/bos/spt_bos_detail.php?UID=393&kind=1
link from http://www.msi.com/index.php?func=downloaddetail&type=bios&maincat_no=1&prod_no=521
the situation is
i can download bios for K7N2G-ILSR but as stated by the note "1. This BIOS is for K7N2G-ILSR only. 2. This BIOS cannot be used on K7N2 (MS-6570) and K7N2G-L 3. Please download the following link if your MB is K7N2G-L. http://www.msi.com.tw/program/support/bios/bos/spt_bos_detail.php?UID=393&kind=1 " but i cant download the proper one from the last link
also ive seen confusig bios versions due to different naming like from the one from this site http://www.nforcershq.com/msi-k7n2-k7n2g-l-bios-34/

Hello!
What board are you searching for exactly? K7N2?
On this page you go down to the motherboards listed under Socket A:
http://www.msi.com/index.php?func=prodarchive&maincat_no=1
Here are K7N2 motherboards:
http://www.msi.com/index.php?func=searchresult&keywords=K7N2
Interested in the board in your signature? You have B5 now. That is not good. B3, the first one, is the very best.

  • BIOS - need orignial for Compaq S6500nx (Asus a7v8x-la mobo)

    Hello All,
I just yesterday updated per the HP site to the 3.10 version bios and now my pc locks up without fail after hitting the desktop.  I've searched everywhere, including Asus, for the original file.  Could anyone be so kind as to send my the original bios file if you have this desktop.  I promise I will pay it forward to some.  As of right now I have a dead pc and 2 kids who badly need it for schoolwork.  Merry Christmas.  Joe T.

BIOS is cross platform firmware. The downside of using the mobo  is that there is no newer BIOS than the original one under Windows XP.  That motherboard was installed in the HP Pavilion  d4600y and is a good source for reference information.
Download the chipset software for Windows 7 32-bit from Intel.  That will be your only option as there is no Windows 7 support for the  P5BW-LA BASSWOOD  motherboard at HP.
Use the chipset identification software from Intel  Your motherboard has the Intel P965 chipset. The disk controller chip(?) and the audio chip (Realtek ALC885). The southbridge chip is the Intel ICH8DH. The LAN solution is the Intel 82562V chip.

  • What client settings for BIOS or MEBx do I need preconfigure for Out Of Band Management in SCCM 2012?

    Hi,
    On the Client:
What BIOS or MEBx setting do I need preconfigure for Out Of Band Management in SCCM 2012?
Or can I remotly configure BIOS or MEBx settings from SCCM 2012 or Intel SCS?
    /SaiTech

    Thanks,
Now I see, with Intel SCS add-on for SCCM 2012 it will be the most simple solution. Even better than to have Intel scs standalone, that was an complex setup on dhcp and so on...
Just one thing more, When you configure AD for AMT you have to set a OU. but if you have computers in two ou, I cant see how I can configure that?

    Hi,
This motherboard is manufactured by Foxconn. Go to www.foxconnsupport.com and have a look for a new BIOS for the H-Alvorix mtb. For the fan regulating etc try CPU-Z software.

--Quick Guide for flashing BIOS, provided by MSI--
    1. Create a MS-DOS boot diskette, then copy the the .exe and the bios file to the floppy disk. Both of these files can be found in the package you downloaded.
    2. Press "Delete" and go to BIOS setup while computer bootup.
Check BIOS advanced features and see if BIOS flash write control is enabled
(This option must be enabled. If you can not find this setting, it means the BIOS can be
    flashed.)
    3. Boot from MS-DOS boot diskette and get a:\> prompt.
    4. Type "", then press ENTER
    5. The flash program will then ask "Do you want to save BIOS?", please press "N" for no. The when you see Press 'Y' to program or 'N' to Exit, please press "Y" to continue.
    6. After flashing complete, remove floppy and reset the system .
    7. Press DELETE or F1 when prompted at first reboot after flashing.
    8. Load BIOS optimized defaults, then save settings and exits.
    Drivers & Needed Files:
(Note: All these drivers are for Windows XP.)
Leaked Nvidia nForce3 Chipset Drivers Version 4.40
(Please use at your own risk, these are LEAKED drivers. Password for the .zip file is "ocworkbench rules". Also, you will need to rename the WinXP_2K folder in IDE to either WinXP or Win2K else the installer doesn't pick it up.) Thanks for the link Wonkanoby!
*NEW* Leaked Nvidia nForce3 Chipset Drivers Version 5.03
More leaked drivers? Seems some parts of the drivers are older and some are newer.
    1. Windows XP Service Pack 1A (Web Install) -or- Windows XP Service Pack 1A (Full Install)
    2. Microsoft DirectX 9.0b (Web Install) -or- Microsoft DirectX 9.0b (Full Install)
    3. Nvidia nForce3 Chipset Drivers Version 4.24
    4. AMD Athlon 64 Processor Driver Version 1.1.0.14
    5. Nvidia Video Card Driver Version 56.72 -or- Omega Nvidia Video Card Driver Version v1.5303
(The Omega drivers are third party drivers optimized for gaming, most prefer these over the standard Nvidia drivers.)
    5. ATI Video Card Driver Version 4.7 -or- Omega ATI Video Card Driver Version 2.5.51
(The Omega drivers are third party drivers optimized for gaming, most prefer these over the standard ATI drivers.)
    6. Onboard Sound Driver (Realtek AC'97 Audio Codec) Version A3.61
It is HIGHLY reccomended that you install the drivers/needed files in the order listed above. Please note that there are two #5's because you either install one or the other depending on your video card, do not install both of them.
You will come across a problem here though. You can't install the chipset drivers without installing the Windows service pack and DirectX first, but the Windows service pack and DirectX installs need the internet to download files and you won't have working internet until you install the chipset drivers. Here's what I did to get around this. Instead of downloading the web install versions of Windows service pack and DirectX, download the full version and and put them along with all the other drivers on a backup hard drive or burn them to a CD, this way you will have all the drivers you need when it's time to install them and none of them will require the internet to download files.
Another note when installing drivers. Apparently the Nvidia chipset drivers also come with drivers for the onboard sound, but people seem to agree that the Realtek onboard sound drivers are better. When you are installing the Nvidia chipset drivers, just be sure to uncheck the box for sound drivers when it asks you which drivers you would like to install. Now you can safely install the Realtek drivers without any chance of conflicting sound drivers. Thanks for the tip Wonkanoby!

The installer still reccomends to install it beforehand for full USB 2.0 functionality... I would have put what you said in there but I wanted to keep it as simple as possible.
oh.  IIRC the installer just says USB 2.0 will be fully functional after SP1 is installed.  So after you install SP1 you go into device manager and u click update driver and it will auto search and update the driver.
Simplicity-wise, i guess its pretty much equal.  It might take less preparation to just copy DX9 full onto a CD and install that first, then nforce driver, then right away you have yoru internet connection.
but i dunno.. i guess i will try it your way this time when my RMA"d board comes.
i will be fomratting and doing a fresh install later on today and will let you know if i come across any problems

  • Need more detail description on BIOS voltage

I am using DKA790GX Platinum with AMD X4 940, and I did some Overclocking and now I need more detail on those BIOS Voltage setting:
    CPU VDD Voltage?
    CPU-NB VDD?
    CPU Voltage?
    CPU-NB Voltage?
    DRAM Voltage?
    NB Voltage?
    HT Link Voltage?
    MCT Voltage?
    Also,
What is the difference between CPU Ratio and CPU-NB Ratio?

    DKA790GX PlatinumMS-7550/AMD X4 940 Black Edition/AMI A7550AMS v1.6/3.3Ghz(200x16.5)/CPU Voltage 1.4V/2xCorsairCM2X2048-8500C5D 2048MB 1066MHZ(5-5-5-15)/ZALMAN ZM850-HP/NVIDIA GeForce GTX 280/ST31000528AS(1000 GB)/XP Professional 5.01.2600 Service Pack 3

I'm not familiar with what MCP or MCT voltage is, but I think it's an nvidea thing.
    here's a few tips that I've found on oc'ing the 790gx platinum:
    Disable Cool & Quiet & C1E.
    Disable Spread Spectrum.
Enable HPET.  (High Precision Event Timer)
Don't enable the OC option for the onboard graphics. (Should'nt be a problem for your system, since your have an Nvidea GFX card)
I seem to get better results with ACC Disabled, but others have reported some benefit from it set to auto or in the + range.
You may find that bumping up the CPU-NB voltage a little bit may help, but it's dependant on cpu voltage too.
Keep your NB and HT speeds close to stock by reducing their multipliers as needed, OC'ing them won't give you any better performance and it can cause a lot of uneeded problems.
As you start to OC your system, only increase voltages as you neeed to, otherwise leave them on auto or at their recommended settings.
Be sure you start with a completely stable system, Memtest & Prime 95 are your friends (see stickies)! and check your system stability as you go.
Watch your system temperatures, and know the recommended temperature limits for your components. (processor, northbridge, gfx card, etc.
    Good luck and have fun!

How can apple send out an os update that renders an important function of the software/hardware to not work? They knowingly have sent out this new os update for iPad which makes airplay nonfunctining! I need this for my business!  I could understand if they didn't know, but it is all over the Internet! When I went in to have it revert back to os6 (which worked fine!) I was actually asked if I had done any research before I installed the upgrade! As if this is the consumer's fault for being dumb enough to fall for the upgrade!

That is not what I have discovered, nor what others have discovered, nor what I was told when I went the Genius Bar.  I cannot remotely mirror to my MacBook Pro and it only started the day after I installed the upgrade.  We tested it with an iPad that had not been upgraded, no problem.

  • I am thinking I need a whole new motherboard

as the battery charger link to the computer became loose and apparently soldering them is a no go anywhere.....So I am guessing I need a whole new motherboard because of something as crazy as this. Apparently even though  it is a common problem for my laptops because of it just reaching over the warranty time I got told I was sol....so to say. So now I am seeking advice as to what motherboards will go into my computer with ease and not cause any issues. My particular laptop is the HP Pavillion 6500 p/n gs667ua#aba      it says it is the dv6629wm..........................SO PLEASE help me figure out what motherboard I can get that will not cause issues and will work correctly in this laptop. THANKS!

Hi, the motherboard does not have to be changed the power connector comes as a separate part. (100USD)
    446524-001 = 90W AC Adapter
    449454-001 = 65W AC Adapter
You will also have to add in the cost of labor to replace the part.

  • No valid serial number for the motherboard

I had my HP compact presario CQ40 416AU repaired by a hp service center and when they returned my laptop a message showed that there is no valid serial number for my motherboard. The laptop is working properly. I just want to know what this means and is it ok to use it? how can i fix this issue? can anybody help me...... thanks

HP should have entered that information into the bios when they serviced it, they are the only ones that can do this, it is called a bios Tattoo, if there is other information missing also (motherboard number), the HP recovery discs will no longer work on the notebook.
    Contact HP about this issue.

  • Link for 7.07 BIOS?

I know this is a long shot, but does anyone have a link or can anyone host a download for the AAHD3-HB 7.07 BIOS? I have the 7.16 already, but I'm having no luck finding the older version.
I know it's a long shot but you never know. Thanks.

    Hello hibiscusguy,
Unfortunately, after a lengthy search I have been unable to locate the BIOS version 7.07 for your motherboard.
As an after thought on this I am curious as to where you got the BIOS update from as the HP Pavilion p7-1174 Desktop PC Drivers does not show any BIOS updates. I even swapped it over to the Windows 8 drivers and there is none there either.
