NEED MSI GTX 470 Twin Frozr II VBIOS

Hi, I do not exactly know should I put this here or on GPU topic, but lets give it a try.
So, taken that I cannot find bios for the MSI GTX 470 Twin Frozr II anywhere on the MSI site
(the model strangely is not even present), and Im currently experiencing problems with it to the
point of being near to discard it - trying to flash its bios seems like something I could give a try.
Or it would, if I had the BIOS version to do it. So, could anyone help by posting the proper bios
for the mentioned card?
Thanks in advance

Okay, thank you,I will do suggested right away I get home.
Also, I would like here to expand of the problem, so if anyone has some other idea besides bios flashing, please tell. So, first I got my computer starting to freeze after some usage in game, and then even idling on desktop. Then I opened it, only to discover my Twin Frozr II cooler broke - with one fan not working at all,  and the other pretty sporadically - just going and stopping in certain intervals. Seeing there is little hope trying to salvage it, I bought Accelero Twin Turbo 2 cooler. Strapped it on, changed the thermal paste, glued additional sinks on vram and such, put it inside, and tried to see what will come of it.
In the first moments was fine, temp dropped to 37 degrees. But after only a minute or two, MSI Afterburner showed GPU Usage on 100% on the Desktop, practically idling. Just to be followed with the rapid increase of temperature gradually in short time all the way to 105-110 degrees - and shutting down each time. To make sure it isnt something wrong with the cooler set-up, took it off one more time, reapplied the thermal, put it back together - and tried again. And experienced the same thing again. But sometimes it would stay stable, so I tried putting other graphic card drivers, but eventually the cycle would repeat.
Then I said - if it is maybe some kind of software thing, maybe I could reinstalling Win7. And I did. Only to find curious thing happening: graphic card remains stable (as in temperatures and GPU usage not rising sporadically without any seeming cause) as I surf the web. But as soon as I put it more to the load conditions, or try to Furmark it - and GPU usage hits 100% - temps just go near 100, and if I continue - it happens again as before - shut-down. For example, it cannot run the Furmark test for neither half a minute before going black. So, Im in curious position of seriously thinking of getting some new GPU, but still some hopes linger in direction of fixing this one. Only out-of-the-box-doable-thing that crosses my mind is flashing the bios. Some are suggesting baking, but do not feel so adventourus in this moment - cause it works in limited way, and I dont have at the time none to fill its place if it goes wrong. Also, does someone with baking experience thinks it really could help with problem like this one? And it goes without saying that Im open to diagnoses and suggestions what could still be tried out, besides the ones mentioned.
Thanks in advance

  • System freeze: MSI GTX 470 TWIN FROZR

After 3-5 days of uptime, if I turn my monitor off for several hours and then back on upon return, the first thing I click on will cause the system to freeze.
The time will be frozen at the moment I turned the monitor back on.
First the mouse moves but if I attempt to CTRL_ALT_DEL or CTRL_SHIFT_ESC (task mgr) the entire system freezes up.
I'm running Windows 7 64-bit MSI Big Bang Xpower i7-965 with 24GB memory and latest Nvidia drivers (260.99).
I'm able to run intelburntest and prime95 (with all 24GB allocated) for days without trouble so the MEMORY/CPU are fine.
It seems to be related to video drivers because if I leave the monitor on at all times this problem doesn't happen.
I leave a lot of applications open at all times (I have many many windows open which is why I have so much memory) and multiple VMs with 3D Acceleration enabled which equates to multiple instances of Aero.
I believe the problem is with Windows Aero (and from everything I've read this means a problem with video drivers).
I'm going to attempt to disable Aero on the host OS and all VMs.
Has anyone else experienced this problem?

First I'm going to see the results of disabling Aero. If that resolves the problem then I believe the issue is that these drivers have not been adequately tested against multiple instances of Aero with lots of applications running (which increases the demand on Aero/video drivers).
It would also make sense that the video card needs to re-init after going into low power mode (with the monitor off) and the re-init causes a crash when there are a lot of windows open. This should be handled flawlessly by such a high end graphics card (afterall it's only Aero and not a graphics intensive game we're talking about here).

    Hi all,
Just got myself a second MSI GTX 470 Twin Frozr II from Overclockers so i can go SLi. I have noticed in Afterburner and GPU-Z that each card has a different bios and the second/new card actually shows as a Twin Frozr II but the first doesn't.
Is this a problem or should i just ignore it?

No, that is not possible. These are totally different cards. They have a different custom design with a cooler totally different and the GAming offering profiles that can't be used with an ordinary N660 TF 2GD5/OC

  • Msi GTX 560 Twin Frozr II - Problem

    Hey folks,
Im having a problem with my Msi GTX 560 Twin Frozr II video card.
I can't make it work with my monitor, all I get is "No signal detected"
I know the monitor is fine, because I used it as it worked all good when I plugged it into
my laptop. It's a BenQ G2222HDL monitor btw. It has one VGA (D-sub) and one Dvi-D input.
So i've tried all types of cables (VGA, Dvi-D and even Hdmi cables), and
still, can't get no signal. What can I possibly do to make things work?
Also, my computer acts a bit wierd when it's starting up. Usually, I would turn it on, then it would turn itself off really quick. Then I turn it on again,
and it goes just fine and runs smoothly. After I changed the position of some RAM modules
and such, it changed. Now when I turn it on, the fans spin for 1 and there's just a tiny bit of noise until
it turns itself off. Then I turn it on again, and it goes just fine with all fans and stuff spinning.
So, I really need some help!

Video card - MSI GeForce GTX 560Ti 1GB PhysX, PCI-Express 2.0,"Twin Frozr II", GDDR5, 2xDVI, native-miniHDMI, CUDA, 256bit (GF 114, overclocked to 880 Mhz on the core), (Marketing name; N560GTX-Ti Twin Frozr II/OC)

Power Supply - Corsair HX Series 750 Watt Modular 80 plus silver (ATX 12v 63 amp)
Haven't got a chance to install os, but will install Windows 7 64Bit.
    The monitor is a BenQ 21,5" LED G2222HDL (1920 x 1080, 5000000:1, 5ms, VGA/DVI-D)
More background info; I build the computer myself. Everything went mostly fine, except for that I had to spend quite a long time to get everything right.
I started the machine, and it all went just fine (except for rebooting and then running smoothly, as it has done ever since). I did the MemOK! test and everything seemed to be fine. But when using the VGA cable that came with the monitor, I couldn't get any signal detected (I used a VGA to DVI adapter to plug the VGA cable into the Msi 560 TI videocard). I used 2 different adapters, but nothing happened. I tried with a HDMI cable, just to test, and that did not work either. Then, I figured out I should order a DVI-D cable.
So I ordered the cable, and went on to plug it into my monitor and my video card, no adapters needed. Still, no signal at all! Tried a different monitor to check if it was the monitor's fault. Nope, still no signal. Frustrated, I used the VGA cable again and tried to plug the monitor into the laptop, which worked just fine. A clear, bright image appeared. But not with my desktop computer with the Msi GTX 560 Twin Frozr II. Nothing works when I plug in the cables etc. No signal at all, although the computer itself seems to run just fine with fans spinning up and the different components making noise etc. Thus, I figured out there probably was something wrong with my Msi Geforce GTX 560 TI Twin Frozr II. Now I dont really know what to do.
Does anyone have an answer/advice/possible solution to my problem? I'm getting a tad frustrated now, seeing as I bought this computer 2 weeks ago and still haven't got to use it yet.

  • MSI GTX 770 Twin Frozr 2GB OC Bios question

I got the MSI GTX 770 Twin Frozr OC 2gb version and would like to know how to verify if I have the newest bios for the gpu.
This is the newest version listed on the website : http://www.msi.com/product/vga/N770_TF_2GD5OC.html#download
And thats an ss from GPU-Z, cant find the exact bios version in that downloadable zip from msi website and i cant seem to find the date created for the bios I have on my card now.
Having some problems with gpu load drops and microstuttering, so wondering if a bios update might sort out my problems.

The vbios on MSI site is a different vbios series (NV282MS.331) and older than your current vbios. Your vbios (NV282MS.352) is dated 06/18/13 while the one from MSI site is dated 06/11/13. Both are legacy vbios versions (no GOP support). You can try the latest hybrid vbios (GOP support) which is NV282MH.351. It is attached.
Decompress the provided .rar archive with Winrar: http://www.rarlab.com/download.htm
Then flash the included file with Nvflash for dos: http://www.guru3d.com/files_details/nvflash_download.html
To do so rename the included file to .rom and create a dos bootstick (https://forum-en.msi.com/index.php?topic=165175.0)
Put nvflash and the vbios file on it and boot from the stick. Then type nvflash -4 -5 -6 gop.rom (if renamed vbios that way) and hit enter. Confirm the questions and let the tool flash.

  • MSI GTX 560Ti TWIN FROZR II 1GB GDDR5

Currently I'm experiencing a problem where no matter what I'm doing, whether it is gaming or browsing, green/orange chequered squares appear exactly as in the picture below:
The problem lasts for a matter of seconds and then windows informs me that the drivers have recovered from a failure. This is very remininsant, but not identical, to when I had a 9800GT that died. This issue has only started within the last month and the card is over 6 months old. Is this likely to be a GPU issue?
    M4N72-E Windows 7 64 Bit Phenom II X4 950 3.0Ghz
    Kingston Hyper-X 1066Mhz CL5 8GB @ 800Mhz CL4

    Seagate ST3500418AS 500GB Hard Drive SATAII 7200rpm 16MB Cache - OEM
    Thermaltake 500W PSU

Sadly I've no way of testing the card in another PC or a different PSU.
What is the likelihood that it is the PSU even though the card has been performing flawlessly for almost a year? Also I could understand if it was causing artifacts just when gaming due to power load, but it happened when I was merely surfing the net, where power draw doesn't even reach 300W.
Is a known solution to this issue an increase in Watts or is there a chance that it is a problem with the GPU?

  • MSI GTX 670 Twin Frozr

MSI GTX 670 Twin Frozr fan seems to make a fast clicking noise when not under load or cold.  Have to start up something that's graphics intensive to get it to stop.  This clicking noise starts a few seconds after dust off.  Anything that I can do from here?  Still under warranty.
    Great card otherwise.

check if the VGA FANs are touching something

  • MSI GTX 580 Twin Frozr 2/OC Problems

Hey guys, I just build my second new(er) computer (specs below, system 2), with this MSI GTX 580 Twin Frozr 2/OC, and I am having several problems. The first problem I noticed was was in Starcraft 2, I was having major texture stretching (looked like units were stretched across the map, exc.), so I tried a new driver to no avail. I delt with that problem and played for several hours to find that the screen turned black, then recovered (happened several times), which I was able to continue playing after. I went ahead and tried Battlefield Bad Company 2, and noticed the same texture stretching, but with big black shapes (almost looked like large artifacts), so I checked the temps, 74c, so that was not the problem. I continued playing for about 5 minutes before the screen went black, turned white, and the game became unresponsive. Thinking it was a possible PSU problem, I moved the card to my first system (specs below, system 1), and produced the same results.
Does anyone have any ideas, or is it time to RMA the card. Sad thing is, I am seeing alot of people having problems with this card, I hope MSI didn't do me wrong here.... :(
P.s. I flashed the newest BIOS for the VGA and the MoBo.

Unfortunately it has, and the artifacting only seems to get worse as time goes on (if the card/game doesn't crash right away that is...). I guess RMA'ing is my only option at this point, thanks for your help.
I'll chock it up to a defective card this time, but seeing all the problems with these similar cards from MSI is making me worried... I only hope MSI didn't do me dirty with this product.
No worries, call msi at +1.626.271.1004 within regular business days and they will take care of it
