I have recently bought an N95 8GB.Well the phone seems ok but I simply do not understand why the volume of the Music player in the headset is at such a low level?I also own an N91 8gb & comparing the music player quality,all of you here can understand the vast difference between them.I understand that N91 is a music player alright,but isnt the N95 8GB supposed to be a feature-rich multimedia phone (AS NOKIA ADVERTISES??).Such a bad music player volume for such a costly phone?

I was just trying to explain why the volume levels have been dropping. In some cases it may be that the same volume levels are set for devices globally.
I'm not sure if India has adopted the same recommendation for output audio pressure as in Europe, so I don't know if it's mandatory in India.
The EU recommendation is supposed to be in line with recommendations from health experts.

Exposure to high audio levels of more than 45 min. per day could result in temporary loss hearing to even permanent damage (depending on how loud the volume is). This is of course not new.
The best thing you could do to enjoy the music yet at the same time protect your ears is:
a) Buy a set of active noise canceling headphones.
b) Buy a set of in-ear headphones and use foam pads (like the Sure e2, e3, e5 series or other brands)
c) Buy a set of protective headphones. The type construction workers use. Basically you put your Nokia headphones then you put the protective headgear on top of them. The protective headgear blocks the outside noise.

Of course there are also drawbacks to blocking outside noise.
If you are walking you may not hear cars or other hazards. And you should never drive with headphones anyway, it's way too dangerous as you can't hear other cars, ambulances, etc.

I Need a Music Player Suggestion...

I am looking for a music player that will let me play my music like this:
- Play songs randomly out the library.
- If it plays something I like, then I want to be able to hit a key or right-click and add that song to a play list.
- If it plays something I don't like, then I want to be able to move the song to the trash.
- Can go from playing songs out of the library to playing from a play list without having to clear out some master play list and then load the play list I want to play, then load the library back into the master play list when I am done. Music players like Amarok and seemingly most MPD clients make me do this. It is really annoying.
- Won't pull in hundreds of megabytes of dependencies (not using GNOME or KDE).
- Optionally, media keys support. I don't mind binding keys in the window manager I'm using to do this, but if it has media keys support itself, that would be great, because I would still be able to use the media keys in other programs I have open that support them.
Anyone happen to know of any music players that can do this?

yes - (for gmpc there is even a plugin, that checks lastfm for similar artists to play those from local library)

i dont really understand this.. if you listen to a song it already IS in playlist, isnt it?

Question: why do you queue your complete library.. thats not what playlists are made for anyway - apart from that mpd will eventually have several playlists, probably in 0.16. From that day on queue support will also work.

Looking for a music player app for the ipad

Musician looking for music player app to play my sound library
Folders, set lists......ect.....
Must be able to automatically pause between songs, not like iTunes where you have to manually pause
I have to time to manually pause between tracks since i use this for my live performances.

Try making a 5 second blank .mp3 file or however long you need your pause to be between songs, then create a playlist and insert the blank .mp3 between each song. Just a thought to help save some money. I believe the DJay app allows this though, but you might want to ask the developer on their website before purchasing just to verify.

You can try resetting the phone:
To reset some of the settings to their original values, select (depending on your device):
Menu > Tools > Settings > General > Factory settings
Menu > Settings > Phone > Phone mgmt. > Factory settings
To do this, you need the lock code. The default lock code is 12345. After resetting, the device may take a longer time to power on. Documents and files are unaffected.
Note: If your Nokia device support encryption of the device memory or the memory card, make sure you decrypt them before you restore the factory setting or your data may be lost.
If the steps will not solve the case, you might have to perform the hard reset (key in *#7370# using your keyboard) wherein all the data on your phone will be deleted. Creating a backup first is highly recommended. You can use Nokia Suite which can be downloaded here. Using the Nokia Suite application, you can also check for updates.
Here are the steps on how to check for updates using Nokia Suite:
Connect your phone to your PC with a USB cable
Start Nokia Suite and select Tools > Software Update
Select the updates (if there is an available) you want to download and select Install
Try to reinstall the software if phone's software is up-to-date
Afterwards, try to transfer the songs and then refresh your music library : Menu> Media> Music player> options> Refresh.

Need flash player 9 for mac os 10.5

i am unable to download flash 10, so it recommended that for my system, which is mac os 10.5.8 with safari 4.0.2 i need flash player 9....but when i download the zip files from the archives i can't open it. am i missing something here or is the link not working? if someone can get me a working link so i can download flash player 9 that would be great. i had to uninstall the existing flash player because it had a problem and shut down safari whenever i went to a site with that plug in.

Needed Varible ND Suggestions For 7d EFS 17-55mm Lens

Hi, I'm looking for suggestions for a varible ND filter for my 7D EFS 17-55mm lens. Wanting to shoot video on the high end towards the f/2.8 range of this lens. Currently, my sweet spot without a ND is anywhere from f/14 to f/18 bright/cloudy outdoors. I normally shoot at 1920x1080 at 24fps with my shutter speed at 1/50. As you know, the higher the aperture the brighter things get. At f/2.8 I'm totally washed out. Personally I'd get a standard ND filter instead of a variable. Looks like 5 stop is what you need. I know B+W makes a 6 stop, you might be able to get that to work.
Perhaps variable NDs work well with video. When I looked into getting one for stills it seemed to me it just wasn't worth it if you're picky about your quality. Anything less than the SR was of dubious quality and even the SR had problems with the X banding at higher opacities. With stills you usually have some wiggle room over settings so having a 3 stop and a 6 stop, and stacked for 9 stop, was enough for my needs.

Need Flash Player MSI for 11.3.300.270 to uninstall it

Hi, I am using active directory group policy software installation to push out Flash player to my users. However, I accidentally deleted the MSI file for version 11.3.300.270 which is needed to uninstall another version (11.4.400.xxx) before pushing out the newer version.
Can anyone out there provide me with a copy of the MSI for 11.3.300.270 I have already found version 11.3.300.273 at the Flash player archive page at http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/archived-flash-player-versions.html but they don't work.
Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

Need Flash Player MSI for 10.2.152.32

I am using active directory group policy software installation to push out Flash player to my users. However, I accidently deleted the MSI file for version 10.2.152.32 which is needed to uninstall this version before pushing out the new version 10.2.153.1. Can anyone out there provide me with a copy of the MSI for 10.2.152.32? I have already looked at the Flash player archive page at http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/142/tn_14266.html but they don't seem to have it. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

For some reason, I wasn't able to reproduce this behavior on demand, but here is the general procedure I had followed before when the problem was encountered:
1. I copied the 10.2.152.32 MSI files to a location on our file server and published them via Group Policy as a ZAP file that launched a script to that runs uninstall_flash_player.exe to explicitly remove both the plugin and activex and then installs the plugin and activex versions of Flash Player 10.2.152.32. Both are installed with msiexec, and the /passive parameter is used.
2. I removed Flash Player*, updated group policy on my computer and installed the published 10.2.152.32 Flash Player from above. http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/ confirmed that 10.2.152.32 was installed and working for both IE8 and Firefox.
3. I closed both browsers and replaced the MSI files from the file server location from step 1 above with the MSI files for version 10.2.153.32. These new MSI files had the same names as those of the earlier version: "install_flash_player_10_active_x.msi" and "install_flash_player_10_plugin.msi".
4. I installed Flash Player 10.2.153.1, which was similarly published via Group Policy as a ZAP file that launches a script to install the MSI files.
Step four would finish without error since the /passive parameter was being used, but Flash Player would not be functional in either browser. Attempts to manually remove Flash Player so that I can install it cleanly would result in the installer prompting me to find the original MSI files. I was able to use registry hacks to remove the installation by removing the following registry data that was left behind:

Need EXPERT's suggestion for APEX CHART SERIES

Hello Everyone,
I have been trying to solve an issue with my apex line chart. The scenario is as follows:
I have a table called revenue. revenues per year are saved in it. and revenues are generated from three sources which are also saved in the same table.
I have made a line chart on it. works well.
Now I have to show that if the value of one of the sources had fallen, how must have it affected the total. I made a number field that takes an estimated change value, and build my sql query with it. it works but the problem is that it changes the non-affected source too. it must change the value of the affected source only and hence the total value.
I hope I make sense and anybody can suggest something.
bold or I will put it this way, how can I write a select statement for a chart series so that one of the rows value does not change and the other two change. ... ?

When a question goes unanswered for a while, there is no need to reply to it or to start a new question. You can edit the original question and just add "Bump" at the bottom and save the changes. This will bump it back to the top of the question list. And by that time, you might think of additional information you can add to the question.
Say, why would a question go unanswered? Well, easy questions and frequently asked questions with well-known answers can be answered right away. Your question seems more complicated and I don't think we have all the information we need to understand exactly what the question is.
You are doing a "series" chart. What kind of series chart: bar, column, line? What is each series? For example, components of revenue might be 1) sales, 2) licensing revenue and 3) other. Then you might have one series for sales, a second for licensing revenue and a third for other.

Need Podcast player app for 4.2.1

I'm looking in the app store for good podcast player. Everything I find says I need 4.3 or higher, but my ipod can't be updated. Any ideas how to find an older app that will work on this ipod?

Ah well...! (There is a limited function already on your iPod. See below.)
I think the chances of you finding such an App are slim frankly. Apple and (it seems) all the developers, are opting for iOS 4.3 as a minimum, completely ignoring those of us with older iPods. Unfortunately, most users with older iPods seem far too preoccupied with slating Apple, and not spending enough effort on trying to get the issue resolved.
Currently, there appears to be no method for searching for Apps by iOS version. You could try the site www.appshopper.com, and search for Podcast Apps. However, my attempt at this produced some very odd results, with strange omissions.
Appshopper doesn't even show which version of iOS is needed for an App. That's ridiculous and quite how such a site stays in business is beyond me! At least the iTunes Store does tell you which version is required, even if it's easy to miss.
I have to be honest; if I were seriously looking for a Podcast App, I would cut my losses after the tests I did with Appshopper and iTunes. I would have to check each one for the iOS requirements, and then check the suitable ones for the actual features I wanted.
On the iPod already:
Although it's limited, you can get Podcasts over Wi-Fi on the Touch.
The iTunes App on your iPod Touch (which takes you to the Store) does have a Podcast section (it may be on the More menu). If you find a Podcast you want, you can download it over Wi-Fi directly to the iPod. However, as far as I can tell, you cannot subscribe to Podcasts from the iPod Touch. In addition to that, if you already have at least one episode of a Podcast series on your ipod, then beneath the last episode is a Get More Episodes... button. Once again, it's not that good a tool. It means that you would have to manually look for new episodes of all of your podcasts in order to download the new episodes. That surely, defeats the purpose of Podcasts. (This may have been addressed with the "Podcast App" available to iOS 6 users, but that doesn't help us with iOS 4.2.1)

Is there a good music player app for windowsphone? I can't get media player to sync with my phone.

I want something where I can buy music online and sync to my surface pro and Nokia Icon like Itunes, I was using Amazon cloud player on my Android but now I have the Windows phone instead and it seems they have no support for Windows phone. Anything like that available for windows phone. I was hoping I could use windows media player but I can't find it for windows phone, is that possible? seems very odd there is no WMP for Windows phone.

Xbox music comes standard on your Windows Phone and as part of Windows 8.X.
There is also a Nokia music service for your phone and a corresponding app for Windows 8.X.
There are be others, including an apps that may access iTunes. (I have never used iTunes)
Get creative in your searches in the Store on your phone and the store on your Windows 8 computer.

Need new PC - Suggestions for system requirements needed!

I am taking a class in CS4 Design Premium and will be purchasing the software as soon as I buy a new computer. I've been looking into an Acer or HP Desktop PC (<$700) with the following minimum requirements:
4GB RAM
2.0GHz processing speed
500GB hard drive
I've read the Sticky posted on this site regarding graphics cards compatible with CS4, but I'd really appreciate suggestions from the users. What do you feel is the best system to purchase for a new web designer? Are there other components I should be concerned about?

With a page printing volume of only fifty pages a week a CIS system may be overkill. I print about that on my Officejet 8600 Plus and have only replaced the cartridges once in eighteen months.
