Need my computer to look like another instrument on the GPIB bus
I have a set of test instruments connected via a GPIB bus and controlled by a desktop computer with a 488 card in it. Into this scenario I now need to connect, to the 488 bus, another computer, a laptop. The laptop will NOT be a controller of any sort. The laptop must appear as another addressable instrument to the desktop controller. The laptop has only a USB interface through which I can talk on the 488 bus so. What type of USB to GPIB hardware do I need to do all of this?

Yes, Jim's suggestion is right on, where once you have a GPIB interface for your laptop (via a USB-GPIB device) you will be able to pass controller in charge status to whichever interface you choose, and the other interfaces and instruments will appear as devices on the bus.

My IPad2 just got fixed at the Apple Store, but it looks like they loaded up the latest iOS. When i got it home and mated it to ITunes(MacBook Pro), I was prompted to load the latest OS into my main computer which now runs on OS X version 10.5.8...how do i get the latest OS so i can get the latest iTunes and am i looking at problems with the MacBook buy leap frogging so many OS's?

Install it, update to OS X 10.6.8 using Software Update, and then you'll be all set with iOS 7. -
My baby accidentally hit my key pad and now my computer screen looks like a negative. What was white is now black, etc. Does anyone know how to fix it?
Press control-option-command-8, or visit System Preferences -> Universal Access -> Seeing and change the display back to "black on white."

This seems the only forum to write to. I have been unsuccessful in finding a channel to write to (email) Verizon Wireless directly and even through the Verizon Wireless Community. I have been a customer for 4-5 years. I updated my phone in August 2014 and wanted to keep my existing plan, since my usage would remain the same. NOW, my bill is 33% higher, I have been unable to comprehend my bill since it have been changed several times on one bill cycle. I called Customer Service on August 25, 2014 and talked to Mona for over 1.5 HOURS to understand what was going on with my account. She could not understand either, or offer an explanation. She stated she would file an IPR Case to get my old plan back. She stated she would get back to me in approximately one week. It is now September 25, 2014 and I am still waiting for resolution. Clearly I am a long term good standing customer. Not sure why I cannot get quality customer service and resolution in a timely manner. CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME!spgitsrp wrote:

There is no customer service email anymore. This is a customer forum, and sometimes reps might answer a question but it usually isn't immediately. If you need prompt assistance, you will need to call customer service, go to a corporate store, or live chat online. As fellow customers, someone might be able to help you sort things out with a bit more information, but have no access to your account at all.

If you say so...no one on the forums can see your account. Even if you do see a rep chime in on the discussion, they will need to direct message with you to get your account information. You can't include it in your post because that is against the terms of use for the forum. It is that way to protect all of us, as customers.
If your plan was changed in April, and it is a plan that is no longer available, you won't get it back. You have 14 days to restore your account when making a change like that, should you decide you don't like the new plan. The reps can send all the requests they want to, but you won't get that plan back.
Also, there is no need to shout. ALL CAPS IS NOT VERY PLEASANT TO READ, AND GIVES THE IMPRESSION OF YELLING. -

I fixed the To: autofilling incorrectly by deleting my email address from the Previous Recipients List, but is there a way to stop that from coming up on emails that I receive?Have you checked your Mac address book? I spoke with a sales person requesting the upgrade standalone version of LR 6.0 - NOT the CC version. I received the email, clicked the link and downloaded LR. After installing LR, a message on the main screen indicates I have so many to register my application even though I entered my new license number AND I must remain logged into my Adobe account or LR will be deactivated. It looks like I was given the CC version any way. Is this true? or am I missing something?

Perform a "hard reset" on the device by pressing down and holding the home button and the sleep/wake button for up to 30secs. until you see a black screen with the Apple logo, then release.
Then test to see if it solved the problem. -
HELP NEEDED.....Yet Another Issue With The S510P
Okay first off, when I bought this laptop....I was using a computer I had owned since 2001 and it worked but was slow. Ever since I have purchased this laptop, I have encountered one issue after another. First it was registry errors, then after that it was trying to uninstall a program which it refused to do, Windows not loading properly, and now I am having issues with the Photo section of the Library. When I go to use a photo, half of them do not load and the ones that do are partially loaded. Which of course causes the computer to freeze up and the restart the page I was on, today this has happened 5 TIMES.
I need help fixing this, and I will also state I will NEVER purchase a Lenovo product again. Leave it to this company to sell a $700 computer that is riddled with issues and then to tell your customer that its their problem.
Mind you this is coming off of the heels of waiting 1 month for a freaking power cable, and then they tell me that they want the old one back or else they will charge me for it. Good luck Lenovo, it is under warranty so as you told me, "That's your problem."Hi cgraham86!

Unresponsive keys or key mapping issues are certainly not "normal" or how iPhone is designed to function. While it's impossible to know exactly what the issue is, your phone is covered for at least one-year by Apple against issues like this. That is of course, assuming there's no physical or water damage done to the phone. +General disclaimer, as I don't have your phone in front of me.+
As for the next step, it's obvious that someone within AppleCare needs to have a look at the phone and determine the issue (replicate, etc.). It is then that they can issue a more suitable solution and/or judgement on the issue. In the case of a visit to an Apple Store that would be a Mac Genius (via an appointment).
I'd say make an appointment, with your iPhone, explain the issue and get them to replicate it. While I certainly can't promise they'll swap the phone for you, it'd seem as though an unresponsive device feature is grounds for covered by the limited one-year hardware warranty. -
even though all photos look like they are the right way up, when the slideshow commences, some of them display sideways. I have tried re-rotating them - and still have same problem. Help please - need it for Saturday night !
What version of iPhoto are you using? Are you creating the slideshow directly from an album or are you using the slideshow mode?
As a test launch iPhoto with the Option key held down and create a new, test library. Import some photos and test to see if the same problem persists. Does it?

My ipod for some reason is having problems. On the outside of the whole things it looks like it has been pulled apart. So now I have to squeeze my ipod just to get it to turn on. What should I do. I have no idea how it got like that. It was working fine today and now it looks like it is coming apart. What do I need to do???
Someone help meI just noticed this problem on my 15GB 3G iPod. It is on the right side of the ipod, lower half, and looks like the metal is bent out slightly, it is not a smooth seam. I can see the interior plastic seam. Everything is working fine with the unit.
I keep the ipod in a skin and have not dropped it or banged it around. Anyone else noticed this? How do you get the seam snapped back tight? -
I have an iphone 4 had it for awhile but yesteday the back camera is blurry. I've had this happen before but it looked like there was steam in the camera lens and I let that air out and it went back to normal. So whats the problem this time? My mom isn't willing to buy me another iphone because before I went to a concert and the speakers messed up half the screen. If its the software acting up can I get a free new one?
Moisture has somehow entered your iPhone and specifically the camera. They will do an out-of-warranty replacement for $149 USD.

They appear to be processed in Camera RAW, which you can do to any JPG or TIF (RAW file not required).
Lots of saturation, lots of mid tone contrast (clarity), edge vignetting, and nice edge effects. Not sure where/how the edge effects were done, and couldn't point you to a quick method. It seems that each RGB channel was "effected" separately to create the look.

I can't update my ipad2 to ios5. After 2 hours of what looks like a successful download and processing is about to begin, I lose connection and get message network timed out check network settings and connection, but I am still connected via wifi. Any ideas?
