Need New Drive For G4

I am looking to replace my DVD/CD drive in my PB G4 15 inch 800Mhz.
It is making weird noises even when nothing is in the drive.
What make/model can I buy for this.

But you can pay less elsewhere for drives that will do as well, and performing the installation yourself is quite easy with the aid of the iFixit guide for your model. However, the official model number can be found on the unit itself, typically on or near the control panel. HT1338 Why doesn't "Software Update" show me the new driver for the Epson 50C20D (Artisan 800) while It is on the list of available new driver?

Since I upgraded to mountain lion, my Artisan printer stopped working. After talking to Epson and trying all kind of things, it was determined its definitely a driver problem. The PC ping the printer well but won;t print to it as it think its not connected (when it is as priven by the ping).
The new driver for Epson 50C20D are on the list of update available drivers on the OS X wen site yet trigering "Software Update" does does detect I need it... Why is that? Thanks

Thanks Mende1. The printer is there and installed allright. Even shows as "idle" until I try to print to it. The driver version shows 6.36 and I ned to update to 9 which is only avail from the App store... However, the app store don't detect I need it..

Is there any newer driver for the alps touchpad on Windows 7 64-bit than the 7.5.303.117?
The driver was made for Windows Vista not Windows 7, so it didn't work well on my Notebook!
It's very slow a startup and the first few seconds I can't move my mouse pointer.

Since the touchpad driver does not depend on notebook model you could use touchpad driver released for any notebook model
Please take a look into other Toshiba notebook driver areas.
But to be honest I doubt that mentioned touchpad behaviors are real touchpad driver bugs.
First of all its nothing unusual that an applications (no matter what application) would need some time to load at the beginning of the boot procedure it depends on the amount of applications which are loaded at the beginning
So wait a moment until the touchpad software has finished loading process and then use the touchpad

There is no .inf file on the Acrobat 5 CD that you can use to create a “driver.” If Distiller 5 even installs and runs on Windows 7 x64, the plumbing that came with Acrobat 5 to automatically feed PostScript files created by the PostScript driver to Distiller simply won't work with modern versions of Windows or any 64-bit version of Windows.
FWIW, Acrobat 5 is five full versions back from the current version. And no, we won't shoot you; you are effectively doing that to yourself! Your time must be worth something?!?!

According to Apple Support's list of supported printers, yours is supported in Mountain Lion.
How is it connected to your Mac, Lena? If it's connected via USB (and I know nothing about this printer) you should be able to go to System Preferences --> Printers and Fax and click on the "+" button. It should pop up in the left hand pane, where all you'd then have to do is select it and add it. It would then load the appropriate drivers.
Some people have reported they have to reboot their Mac in order to get their printer to show up in the list.

I think the fine print says DVD Player support requires 10.3 or higher. But you can still play DVDs in the original drive you have, and are looking to add a drive in the empty bay, right?
Also, Patchburn is available for 10.2 to add native burning support, or you can maybe find an old version of Toast (5 ?) for 10.2 that should allow you to burn to the drive.

I agree with the suggestion to upgrade to 10.3 or 10.4, if you can, but you should be able to make this drive work in 10.2 (and still use the original for OS 9 and DVD Player) and decide to do the other upgrades later on if you want.
